Izuku watched the matches go by, varying results playing forth. Though, they were easy to predict victors, based on quirk knowledge and actual skill. Up next, he would be going against the half and half haired kid, Todoroki. Todoroki used ice, which Izuku couldn't reflect off of because it was reflective. He also had a fire-half, but he didn't use it often. Maybe it was a trump card.
Well, Izuku now found himself on stage. The crowd was practically screaming. The number 1 student versus the son of Endevour. Shoto had a scowl on his face, publicity not his thing. Izuku did some light stretches while Present Mic hyped up the match. He may have to go a bit harder, but not full strength.
"Begin!"
A wave of ice rushed at him the second those words were muttered. Spikes of ice now covering the entire arena floor. Though, Izuku wasn't frozen, instead, he stood on the air, looking down at Todoroki.
"Really. You think that's gonna get me. Try a bit harder." Izuku taunted him.
Shoto kept a calm demeaner, but inside he was annoyed. Pillars of ice slammed out of the tundra, trying to hit Izuku out of the sky. Izuku just dodged and weaved, using his pseudo-flight to completely avoid his attacks. That's when he decided to counter attack.
Izuku fired two, small beams of light, piercing Todoroki's arm and causing him to falter. An ice dome went over him right before Izuku was about to beam in there. Instead, Izuku cut a little hole in it and beamed in with Todoroki.
The brightest light anyone had ever seen was emitted from that sphere. The audience was rubbing their eyes after that. The ice crumbled and Todorki was on the ground, his hands over his eyes.
Thousands of needle-like ice spikes shot from the ground around him, trying to pierce him. he couldn't afford to get hit, as the reflectiveness will not allow him to phase it. Izuku beamed around 100 feet in the air.
"Fuck it, I'll end this here." Izuku yelled, charging up a move. This was definitely one of his best. Shoto saw Izuku, then he didn't. All he saw was a series of flashes and felt a breath behind him. Then, he was rocketed in the air, around 50 feet up. Pillars of ice came and stopped him, the arena now looking like a mountain range of ice.
Shoto gritted his teeth and went for his strongest attack. A beam of ice shot straight into the clouds, around 5 feet thick. Then, it broke, almost from weight. That's when everyone looked up and their mouths went open. Some even began to leave the stadium in fear of being caught in it.
Izuku followed the stared and saw a massive ball of ice hurdling from the clouds at him. It was at least half the size of the arena. He needed to destroy it.
"Well, I guess I have no choice. I'll respond with full power too."
The light from the stadium was all slowly sucked into Izuku's palms, which were facing toward the ice ball. The entire sky near the stadium was dark, almost like night time. In reality, Izuku gathered natural light for a big blast.
Once it was done, an absolutely massive beam of light shot up and disintegrated most of the ball. The remaining bits fell down harmlessly. Todoroki was even more annoyed. So annoyed that steam billowed off of him, warming him up and melting ice around him. He slid back to ground level and thawed all the ice, the arena now almost back to normal.
"Midoriya, I didn't think you would push it this far. However, I have an ace up my sleeve."
Fire tore from his left side. At this point in time, Todoroki had now accepted that the fire was his quirk and he learned to master it. His fire, while not nearly as hot as Endeavor's, was much more versatile.
Izuku smiled, and promptly coated him in an armor of light. Twin blades of light appeared in his hands. That's when Todoroki felt a slash across his chest. Blood flowed slightly, as it was shallow to not kill him.
Todoroki let out a pulse of fire which Izuku jumped up. He shot out hundreds of marble-sized fireballs, all of them aimed at Izuku. He dodged and weaved the attacks, but realized that the fire seemed to home on him. They fireballs all quickly rebounded off of air and went at him again.
Izuku then put his hands in a triangle as he dashed back. All the fireballs were met by light particles and they canceled each other out. While this happened, Todoroki gathered a massive fireball above him. He chucked it at the ground, flames bursting everywhere in return. He then let off a massive glacier that froze everything around the impact radius. But, Izuku never dodged.
Izuku merely phased the fireball by dashing near a corner of it. Since AOE attacks could block him, only the top-right half of him was scorched and he barely missed the ice.
Ice then covered the ground in an attempt to catch him. Izuku dodged again. He needed to turn the battle.
Izuku sent a barrage of kicks at the air, producing destructive light balls upon hitting. Todoroki was knocked backwards, almost on the edge. Izuku then got his blades and put a slash on the back of his legs.
Todoroki fell over backwards, landing out of the arena. Midnight looked shook at the battle, as she was hiding behind a pillar of cement for protection.
"Winner! Izuku Midoriya by boundaries! That match was truly incredible. Ladies and gentlemen, these are the best of our generation! Give a hand to them!"
The stadium started screaming and chanting. Some were chanting Izuku. Others were yelling encouragements for Todoroki. Endeavor, while sad that he lost, was very proud of Shoto. He truly had mastered his flames and, hopefully, if he decided to forgive him, he could make it to the next level.
All the participants still in besides Bakugou just shivered. They didn't want to face either of these monsters. Izuku beamed Shoto to Recovery Girl as she treated the slashes. Izuku, surprisingly, didn't have a scratch on him. Todoroki just was laying there, completely exhausted. Izuku, despite the battle, wasn't the least bit tired.
(Well, since I am a bit bored, I think we should move on to Izuku vs Bakugou for the finals. In short, Momo got wrecked by Izuku for the 3rd match.)
Bakugou had a devilish smile on his face. Today, he would get to pound the nerd's face in and show him his true power.
"Alright Bakugou! Let's see if you can compare to Todoroki." Izuku taunted him.
Bakugou just looked pissed as Midnight said begin.
Bakugou boomed at Izuku, a visible shockwave created from his sheer speed. Izuku phased the hand and went for a counter. Bakugou, however, reversed directions with his blasts in an instant and actually landed a hit on Izuku.
Izuku beamed to the other end and grinned. There was a point when he could be hit. And that was when he was about to attack.
Bakugou saw this and laughed. Now he knew his weakness. And from the icy-hot bastard, he couldn't phase through big attacks.
Bakugou started to spin and yelled, "Howitzer Impact!"
A massive explosions covered the arena and more. That shockwave reached the crowd, blowing off hats and popcorn. Izuku was now 50 feet in the air, looking down. He fired 10 beams of light, one per finger.
Bakugou dodged and weaved with surprising aerial agility. Izuku knew that Bakugou had more maneuverability in the air. He needed to take it to the ground. Izuku beamed down and put his hands in a triangle. A bunch of particles flew near his previous spot, where Katsuki merely let off a series of his own explosive particles.
Izuku and Katsuki both put their hands in a circle. Bakugou let off an AP shot and Izuku let off a larger light beam. Both clashed in the middle, a massive boom ringing out. Smoke now covered the arena. When it cleared, the audience could see Bakugou and Midoriya in a hand-to-hand fight.
Bakugou threw a right hook, which Izuku diverted and went for the gut. Bakugou, seeing this, swung his knee up and blocked it. Izuku used his other hand for a chop to his throat, but Bakugou ducked down for a low sweep.
Izuku then did a front layout of Bakugou and landing behind him, Izuku's feet ready for an axe kick. Bakugou rolled to the side, using a mini explosion to hoist himself up and get back at it.
Izuku threw a jab, but Bakugou diverted it. Bakugou swung a left uppercut, but Izuku backflipped. Both of them threw a kick, which collided between them.
Surprisingly enough, Bakugou was amazing in hand-to-hand combat, even without his quirk. He had excellent analytical skills and could predict movements. It almost felt like a second quirk. Of course, Izuku was on par with him, his service allowing him to become a specialist in that field.
Bakugou dived over Izuku and landed on his hands, a double kick about to hit Izuku hard. Izuku ducked and grabbed Bakugou, flipping him over his back. Bakugou grabbed onto Izuku and swung around him, aiming to choke the neck.
Izuku jumped up and spun, forcing Bakugou to get off and stand back on the ground. The two looked at each other, determination in their eyes. None of them had even really gotten started yet.
"Seems you've gotten better, Bakugou!" Izuku yelled, glee in his eyes. He loved the thrill of combat. He loved it where even he couldn't determine the victor from the start.
"Hmph, let's take this up a notch!" Bakugou yelled as he blasted toward Izuku. Izuku and Bakugou both then went for the same move. Bakugou used the light from his explosions as a flashbang, while Izuku let his quirk create a bright flash.
Both, already having closed their eyes, ran forward. Bakugou opened his hand and threw something at him. Izuku braced for an explosion, but a small amount of liquid hit him. He looked at his shirt and his eyes widened. It was sweat.
Bakugou clasped his hands together and yelled "C4 Bomb!"
A big explosion surrounded the arena, Bakugou blasting upwards and hovering with explosions. He looked down to see a shirtless Izuku, unharmed. Izuku managed to rip his shirt off in time and threw it while beaming upward.
Izuku then surrounded himself in an aura of light. Stray explosions popped around Bakugou. Both then dashed forward, blurs. Izuku put his hands in a spear-like position as light formed into a deadly spear.
Bakugou had his hands forward, sweat lingering around the air between them and coated his palms like he went swimming.
An explosions that visibly shook the arena popped into place where they were. A loud boom as well as a twang sound ringed in everyone's ears. The arena wall had cracks in them, pieces missing from the sheer shockwave of that impact.
When the smoke cleared, everyone saw Izuku on a knee. He had burns all over his body and his arms were bruised all over. Blood coated him in patches.
Next to him was an unconscious Bakugou who looked no better. Bakugou had singes and cuts all across him as well as nicks in his skin. He was beaten.
Izuku shakily stood up, his body shimmering in a divine looking light. His closed fist went in the air as the audience regained their breaths and somehow cheered louder than all previous times.
Aoki, with his class, were amazed at this. Aoki, while in close quarters, was on par with Izuku. But in an all out fight, Aoki would definitely lose. And the other kid has Izuku on a knee.
"Oi! Cough up the money! I told ya he would win!" Aoki yelled at the awestruck kids. Several groans and pleads emerged as he collected his winnings.
Elsewhere in the stadium, All Might in his small form looked shocked at this too. He had never seen such a destructive battle before. Maybe the theory on quirk singularity is true. These kids haven't even reached their primes yet and they could give him a run for his money At his current strength.
In a dark room, All for One looked at the screen, a smile on his face. Sadly, he wouldn't be taking those wonderful quirks as he now longer could not. At this point, All for One has passed on his legacy, his quirk, to Tomura Shigaraki.
Thanks for reading. I may not be able to get these stories up in quick succession, but I will try to make one every 3 days to a week. Comment feedback or things you might want to see. Also comment a one piece character that you might want to be in the story so I can base a character around him. Let me know in the comments if you want a quirk profile on anyone I mentioned and I can explain for you. Have a good day.
