When Humphrey and the others got back to the packs, they started explaining the recent event that just happened to the Pack leaders except the Southern because...they're busy in the middle of their lovely life. At first, the pack leaders weren't convinced at all considering that they are too weak and had a belief that taking a human down is impossible. But Humphrey showed them where it all happens.

They were surprised to see for the first time a dead human body. Kate saw her father cried right in front of her. He was happy. He was extremely happy to see that they can take them out, so they can be free.

Free from their grasps.

Tony also cried for his pack. If they manage to take one of them out, then that means his pack will have a nice long life with no worries. For all these years, they were too scared to leave their territory. Some of them didn't want to step outside because of how terrifying humans are.

The pack leaders wanted to celebrate their first victory, but they have to do it at a different time.

However, they had no idea how tough it is to take them down. They know that it's impossible to take them down, but they don't see how impossible or how tough it is to do it. That is why Humphrey needs other animals and their strengths. He knows they are afraid of them, and guaranty wolves are not the only ones who have troubles with them. It's every animal.

Humphrey looked at the pack leaders who were on their way back. He had to say it.

"Wait" he started, catching their attention. Kate knew he had something in his mind. Ever since she saw that smile faded away, she knew he was up to something. "I don't think using the logs would be enough to take them down. They still have a huge advantage over us, so I don't think gathering wolves would be enough. I think we should ask other animals for help" Humphrey explained to them.

"Wait what?" Winston asked him in shock. "Humphrey, do you know how hard it is to do that?"

"Yes, I know, but as long as we gain their trust. We can work together. I know that they are having the same issues as us." Winston sighed as he looked down. He had never seen a crazy wolf would do something like this, but it makes sense to him because he still believes that they are at a huge disadvantage. Now, the real question is...who are they going to gather? If they are going to gather deer or moose, it would be difficult for them to interact because they are the predators. Predators can't interact with their prey. If they are going to make friends with the bears or mountains, it would be difficult as well because they will fight for their territory or their food. That's just how Mother Nature works.

Humphrey then realized something else. He turned his attention to Kate, wondering how she met Marcel and Paddy. Kate noticed Humphrey was looking at her, so she turned her gaze at him and stared down into her eyes lovely. Kate always wanted to tell how amazing his eyes are. She loves how it sparkles underneath the sunlight and how it catches her attention easily.

"Hey, Kate" Humphrey spoke up.

"Yes, Humphrey?" Kate responded to him while staring into her eyes.

"How did you met Marcel and Paddy? I'm surprised you beat me to it first" he said happily.

"Oh, well...it's complicated, but when I first meet them; I had to make sure that I look like I didn't want to eat them. But, it didn't work out, so I have to kind of chase them down, and they look convinced that I didn't want to eat them. I just want to know where I am." After listening to Kate's short story, it made him smile when he remembered his first meeting with Kate. He should've known before. Back then, Kate wasn't trying to eat him. She was trying to find a way to get home as fast as possible, and that's all she cares about back then.

"Who's Marcel and Paddy" Eve asked curiously.

"Oh, they are the birds who lead me to Humphrey who is willing to help me" she replied, changing up a little bit as she looked at Humphrey lovely. Both of their hearts fluttered when Kate said that. It's their special moment after all. The day where they first met. They went back home and got a big day tomorrow. Humphrey had to figure out which animal should he starts with. Should he start with a predator or prey? Which one should he pick?

While he was walking, he felt someone rubbing up against him, causing him to look to his right, and saw Kate leaning against him. A smile then formed on Humphrey's face and nuzzled Kate, which she leaned onto it with a huge smile plastered on her face.

The next day, Humphrey woke up first thing in the morning along with Kate. He decided that he should start with the predators and explain to them what's going on because it's easier to talk with them rather than prey. If they try to get in touch with the prey, the wolves would have a hard time getting them to listen because they were afraid of them. Thanks to Kate's experiences with Marcel and Paddy.

Humphrey stared down at the empty area where most of the wolves are busy having sex. He let out a sigh and began thinking back about a story of a mother cougar getting killed by a hiker right in front of her cubs. Neither Kate nor Humphrey didn't know how long did this happen. That's one thing Humphrey hates about the wild. Everyone is hungry. There is a limited amount of food and they had to look everywhere for it. Humphrey felt bad for the cubs and the mother. The mother must've been desperate to find food and became delusional to attack the ultimate predator. He knew how miserable it is.

He remembers back then how hard it is for his mom and dad to find food before they got relocated.

"So" Kate started, breaking Humphrey's train of thoughts. "Who are we going to gather," she asked him curiously.

"Hmmm, I think cougars and maybe if we came across those cubs from the story you told; we would get lucky if they joined our side" Humphrey stated.

"I hope so, but we need to go in groups. A cougar is strong enough to take down a single wolf, even the best alpha in the pack, but they can't take down a pack" she added.

"Yeah." They both stayed there in silence as they stared up the mountains to see the sun slowly rising from the mountains. Kate then put her left paw on top of Humphrey's and leaned against him with her head laying on his shoulder.

Humphrey looked down at her face, and she had a soft smile.

"Do you think your human dad will come and save the rest of us?" Kate asked.

"Yeah" he replied, smiling. "He will."

"What did you think will happen?" Humphrey's eyes started to sparkle when she said that. In his mind, he imagined his dad making an epic entrance with epic music in the background as if they were in a movie. Then, there will be an epic final fight between him and the Blight Corps leader. An epic showdown where it will put the movie in the number one spot.

"Humphrey? Humphrey?" Kate called out his name several times. Kate couldn't help but smile when she saw his goofy grin. He is thinking about his dad saving the day, which she didn't mind though. She needs his help. They both do. "Come on Humphrey, let's go. We're wasting time" she said snapping his thoughts.

"Oh right. Sorry" he said as he started walking towards the main ground to find groups for them to head out. Kate beamed at him and began following him down the path. A path to their alliance.

It took almost an hour to find them a group until Winston formed a group to make it easier for Humphrey and Kate. Winston started to explain to the group he formed about the situation that is going on, but Kate didn't like the group her dad formed. Some alphas didn't even apologize to Humphrey, such as Scars, Claws, and Cando. The only alphas she liked in that group were Hutch and Humphrey's brother, Michael. Hutch was Winston's trusted alpha who was given a second in command. He stayed by Kate's side ever since she was born. As for Michael, he's Humphrey's brother, and he has no problems or objections with him.

Anyways, the group heads out deep in the mountains to find their first animal to their alliance. However, there is one problem...

Humphrey thought finding food is difficult for animals, but he forgot one thing. Finding someone to ally with is hard as well. In the mountains, cougars live in steep rocky canyons or deep in the mountains. They are very solitary animals who are frightened to get even near the territories of the human world. They stay away from it, far far away, and like to stay hidden from them. They are also one of the animals who have done that.

Kate was told by stories that cougars or mountain lions didn't even dare to say a word about humans. They were so frightened that they believe that if they call their names such as monster; it will bring it to them. Even when other animals say its name would scare them.

It only made Humphrey feel bad the more they talk about it. He wished he could show the world that not all humans are monsters. Sure, they can be frightening to look at. A tall, hairless, snout-less, tail-less, two-legged creature who is known to be the ultimate predator. But, they can give out so much love. A different love that is out from this world. A love that can link relationships between different species and forged in the fire before writing it down in the stars. That's how dogs and humans became best friends.

Kate glared back at the alphas she mentioned earlier. She wanted to make sure they didn't do anything stupid or at least hoping that they forgive him. She even stared at Claws who is oddly shooting Humphrey with glances. She better not be a cheeky alpha wolf. Kate knows that her heat would be here any day, and she will DEFINITELY going after Humphrey's ball sack.

While they were walking, Hutch stopped right in front of the group and held his paw in the air, signaling them to stop. Humphrey looked around, and all the alphas have their ears perked and their heads tilted upwards.

"I smell one of them," said Michael, mentioning the cougars, which means that there are more than one, possibly mates. They were getting close to their den or maybe their territory. Their territory is not even that big compare to wolves. It's rather quite small. Humphrey looked around and saw scratch marks on the trees up ahead. They were indeed getting close.

"I smell four cougars" Scars stated.

'Four' Humphrey wondered. So, it's not a pair of cougars. It's probably a mother and her kittens, which is something that they should not stick around considering how defensive parents can get.

"She might know someone who can join our side. I don't think a mother would accept our request because she has to take care of her babies" Michael stated.

"I hope so. Stay close everybody. We're going in" Hutch commanded. Kate stood close to her Humphrey. She is keeping her promise. She wanted Humphrey to be happy after this. No matter what, she will always keep the promise she made to herself.

As they dive deeper into the territory, all of their senses are enhanced. Walking through another predator's territory means competition. Whether you're just passing through or wanted to find food. Humphrey remembers how stealthy cougars can get. They are like ghosts, and their specialty is stalking their prey, but they're not stealthy as humans. The wolves waited for the mother to get near them. They can smell her close by, and she's not that far. She knows that they're here in her territory, and she will appear at any second.

But they highly doubt she would attack them and chase them out. A pack of wolves would able to take out one or multiple cougars. Sometimes, a pack of wolves can take out a bear. Bears and Cougars are not wolves' greatest enemies. The greatest enemies for the wolves are other wolf packs and humans.

Kate stopped walking and turned her head to her left before her fellow alphas did the same thing. Kate stood right in front of her Humphrey, glaring deep into the forest as the shadowy-shaped figure of a big cat appeared.

They wanted to make sure they didn't want any competition or what's so ever. They wanted her to see if she knew any other cougar who is willing to join them. They stared at the big cat until there are three of them.

"What," Humphrey said quietly. It was not a mother and her cubs. It was four adult cougars. However, Humphrey and the others are enough to take them down if they are planning to attack them. They were surprised to see four adult cougars living together. Something's off here, and there has to be a reason for them to form a small group.

"State your business here," said the male mountain lion while the others stay on guard. The alphas looked at Humphrey since he's the only omega in the group and the one who had this kind of idea. Humphrey gulped down as he stared up at the pumas. They look imitating as hell, and they are not here to play games around.

"U-Um" Humphrey started, picking his words carefully as fast as possible. He gulped down, and Kate put her paw on top of his to calm him down, and it did. "Y-You see uh...we wanted to gather animals to join us and take down monsters that have been terrorizing Jasper park for the past few weeks. We want to see if you could join us and save Jasper park."

"WHAT?!" The male cougar screamed, making Humphrey almost pissed himself when he shouted. "Are you wolves crazy?! If we gather other animals, there's no way we can take them down. It's impossible with us struggling to communicate with different species! We can leave those monsters alone and let them do whatever they want. WE can't do anything about it. You heard the stories about them. I don't think I need to repeat myself to say what they are capable of."

"But we can take them down" Kate spoke up. "We manage to defeat and killed one of them because there's someone with us who can help us out. He was raised in the human world, and he knows how to kill them-"

"There's no way that would happen. And what is this about the human world? No monsters would ever take care of animals like us. They only take care of those so-called pets such as dogs and small cats." Humphrey looked down at the ground. He had no proof that he was raised by a human, not even his collar. His collar was gone because of the Raven Mocker, and he had no idea how to get them to believe that he wanted to help them out.

"But that person is here. He responded to you seconds ago" Kate stated, making the cougar turning his gaze at Humphrey.

"You mean that boy? The one who looks like a coyote?"

"Leon," said the other male, nudging his side. "Don't provoke them, bro. We will lose our lives if we pick a fight with them."

"Fine, fine," he said before looking back at Humphrey. "So, are you the one who was raised by them?"

"Yes," Humphrey responded.

"Do you have any proof?"

"Yes, but I don't have it with me. It's back at home."

"What home?"

"My friends' and my girlfriend's home," he said, looking at his group. The male glared down at him, having a hard time if he should believe this or not.

"Let's make a deal," he said. "How about you leave?"

"Leon," said the male.

"What, Cosmo?"

"I think we should join them and see if he has proof" he replied.

"That's the most ridiculous idea I had ever heard coming out from your mouth. I bet he's trying to lure us into a trap."

"But he's telling the truth," said the female.

"I agree with Grace. This might be our chance to take them down." Leon gritted his teeth before looking down at the wolves. He then turned his attention to the other cougars before letting out a sigh.

"Fine."

"Let's make a real deal" Humphrey spoke up. "If I didn't show you any proof, you are more welcome to leave, and we'll never bother you guys again. If I show you proof, you are more welcome than ever to join our side."

"Deal" he quickly responded.

"Huh? Really?" Humphrey asked as the wolves started wagging their tail.

"Yes. I want this to end so I can rest-"

"Oh thank you thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou! And please show up tomorrow!" Humphrey exclaimed, shaking his paws out of nowhere.

'Good grief! HE'S CRAZY!' The cougars yelled in their minds. And with that, they watched the wolves walking out of their territory. Leon looked at his paws before slowly turned to the others.

"Am I dreaming?" he asked in shock. "If I am, please slap me." Cosmo then slapped him, knocking him to the ground before he stood up on his feet. "I MEAN NOT LITERALLY!"

"Too late."

For several hours, they gather their fellow canines such as foxes and coyotes who were surprisingly easy for them to join their side. They experienced the same pattern as they do, and they all look alike, which is why it is easy. During those several hours, they find Marcel and Paddy again and told them to spread their plan throughout the park. They didn't want to waste time gathering every single animal by themselves. It would make it ten times harder. Paddy and Marcel agreed to it, and start sharing their plan with other birds and herbivores to make it easier for them to approach and join along with them. Like Humphrey said before, it would be harder to approach their prey and convince them to join their side. They will run away, and they would be wasting time before they know they would be done for.

Right now, Humphrey and his group were on their way to find some Grizzly bears and see if they can join them. They're probably one of the most important animals they need to gather due to their size and are the third-largest land mammal in North America.

Bears are also solitary animals, but Humphrey wanted to know why those cougars are gathering up earlier. Could they have the same idea as him? If so, then it could apply to bears, right? Humphrey shook his head no. There's no way bears would've done the same thing. After all, there is a reason why they need to be solitary. It's because the father will kill their cubs due to severe hunger.

Humphrey felt bad that they didn't get the chance to meet their father. That is also another reason why he hates finding food in the wild. It will drive you insane.

They make their way through the forest since Grizzly Bears are roaming around everywhere in Jasper Park. They are hard to find because they don't have territory. They love to travel everywhere, but they have to make sure they do not want to take them down. That's the last thing they wanted to do.

Humphrey was happy that his plan is working so far. He knew nobody would ever decline his request. Everybody has the same thoughts in their mind, and he had heard stories from the canines when he met them. The stories they have told were about the Blight Corps. Some of the stories are far worse than his imagination. They were involved in tragedy where they had to watch their family members getting killed right in front of them. And then, there is one story about the Silver Giant and the Jasper Devil.

He heard the Silver Giant destroyed their hope, and heard the Jasper Devil tortured one of the foxes. Humphrey didn't get the details out of his mind. It's...very not pleasant to hear it. It's...It's one of the worst things humans have ever done. This Jasper Devil tortured that fox by ripping her fur, cutting her tail and her ears, and play with her feelings by scaring her, killing one of her family members, and not letting her sleep until she was saved by another foxes from the Devil. To be honest, Humphrey wanted to have a piece of him.

He's done enough, but that's not all. He wanted to kill their leader before he will go after him.

As they walked through the forest, they began to smell a Grizzly nearby. They followed its scent and saw the Grizzly Bear sitting at the bank of the river. He wasn't hunting or anything. He was just sitting down and staring at his reflection, minding his own business.

Humphrey looked at the others and Kate before stepping forward. Kate stopped him from doing so by putting her paw on his chest until Humphrey put his paw on top of hers.

He then looked at her with a smile plastered on his face.

"Don't worry, Kate. I will be fine, and I'm not going that far" he said to her.

"Then, I'm coming with you" Kate replied, keeping her promise again. Humphrey nodded his head, agreeing with her. Kate smiled as they both stepped forward and look at the bear. Humphrey wasn't sure where to start. He didn't want to scare him or anything, but the question is how to get his attention without scaring him. Humphrey let out a quiet sigh before turning his attention to him and he spoke.

"Uhh-" The Grizzly whipped his head around and began glaring down into Humphrey's soul. Humphrey's breath paused when he saw the menacing glare. There was a fire in his eyes, and not only that. His body was facing him. Humphrey looked at the others, and they were standing up, getting ready to jump in.

Humphrey turned his eyes on him, and the Grizzly started chomping. He can hear how powerful his bite force is, but it was a sign. A sign that Humphrey didn't want him to do.

The reason why the Grizzly started chomping his teeth is that it's a warning, letting them know that...he's getting ready to charge at them.

Wow, I'm surprised the fact that I was able to write almost 4k words for a chapter in just one week. Which is good because we have one more chapter to go until Chapter 39. That is where I am looking forward to because it's going to be epic. Also, I fixed Chapter 5 in the beginning. Just not much, but I screwed up the plot without realizing it lol, BUT NO WORRIES. YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CHAPTER 5. All I have to do is to delete the beginning of the chapter. That's it lol. Anyways, what did you guys think? What will happen next? I'm TheRavenMocker. Be a raven, mock the ravens. We'll see you guys on the next flight.
