Kate stared at the Grizzly chomping its teeth. She stood right in front of her boyfriend and getting into a defensive stance. Humphrey looked around as if trying to find a way to stop this before it was too late. This is the last thing they wanted to do, and they're not looking for a fight.

Humphrey just wanted to recruit him. Kate and the Bear stared daggers at each other, waiting for one of them to make a move, but neither of them didn't want to. They waited, waited, and waited until it was clear that both of the species didn't want to start a fight, allowing Humphrey to speak up as long as Kate protected him.

"Excuse me, um. We're not here to fight you or kill you. We wanted to see if you want to join us and defeat the monsters. We're not forcing you or anything. We're just asking. If you don't want to, that's fine. We'll find another person" Humphrey explained softly.

"So you're the one I've been hearing about throughout the park" he responded, making the wolves drop their guards. Humphrey was confused when he said that.

"Heh? What do you mean?" Humphrey asked the bear.

"I've heard from other animals about you and this idea to defeat the monsters. Some animals thought you were crazy. They thought it's impossible to do it. Others believed they have a chance because I believe those goose and the duck told them that you were raised by a monster and trying to help us out to stop them...correct?"

Humphrey gulped and nodded his head. The Grizzly Bear squinted his eyes at him as he looked closely at him. Finding any strange things on him that doesn't belong to the wild, but he couldn't find any of them.

"There is also a chance that you are a spy of the monsters, the poor wolf who got manipulated by them or you are just being nice and help our sorry lives out."

"Well, I do have proof that I am not manipulated, and I am helping you guys out. Not only that, I'm trying to save our home" Humphrey replied to him. The bear just stared at him, wanting to know if he should believe him or not. Also, he wasn't sure if he was lying or not either. But it seems to be the truth that this wolf was raised by the monster considering the rumors that are going on throughout the park. A rumor that is spreading like crazy between species is not a lie. "If you don't believe me or not wanting to get involved, I understand that-" Humphrey was cut off by the bear, and he was surprised to see him up close face to face within a flash.

"No, I want to get involved," said the bear quickly. "But tell me. Are you going to help us?"

"U-Uh...yes. Yes, I am" Humphrey responded, making the bear smile.

"So, where are we meeting?"

"I know this sounds crazy, but go towards that tall tree on the tip of the mountain, walk around the mountain and go straight towards the south, and you will see a human camp, but don't get scared of it. Trust me, we live kind of close to it, but the humans in that camp are very friendly. The one who raised me is in that camp" Humphrey informed.

"Are you sure?" The Bear asked him curiously, wanting to make sure if his choice is the right one he made.

"Yep, I promise you. They won't do anything as long as my dad is there to protect you guys." The bear smiled widely. He had never thought a monster or a human would protect them, but still; he wasn't sure if he should believe it or not. It's still hard to believe an apex predator would be friendly enough to protect their prey. It's just...strange to them.

"Alright, well. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then?" The bear asked, and Humphrey nodded his head. And with that, the wolves began to leave the bear alone as the bear watched them walking away. The bear was curious to see this monster or so-called human. The one who raises this strange gray wolf with blue eyes to come up with this crazy idea. He won't know for sure until he gets to see it with his own eyes.

The Grizzly Bear faced towards the river and smiled as he stared at the glittering surface of the water, remembering the recent event that he doesn't want to share out. Now, he knows that they are resting in peace after tomorrow. But the only problem he has to worry about right now remains one important big question. Will they win and save Jasper National Park?

The next morning, Humphrey was the first one who woke up this early. He was sitting at the entrance of the den, looking down at the grounds, waiting for them. Today is the day. The day where all animal species will gather up to this area. A feeling of peace will be formed between predators and preys as they face a bigger threat together. But this is also the day where Humphrey had to be careful. He wanted to prove everyone that he was raised by the human and bust the myths about the humans. If he messed up, then it's over for Jasper. This day is very important, and hopefully; Humphrey will get it done before the Blight Corps made their move. They are prepared.

While he was away with the others, Salty, Shakey, Mooch, and the others started teaching the wolves how to use the logs to their advantage. They taught them everything that they learned from Humphrey, and now they are ready to use it.

Humphrey looked back at Kate who was sleeping peacefully in the den. He had never noticed how beautiful Kate was when she was asleep. The way she had her tail underneath her head while she was sleeping is adorable as if she was using her tail as a pillow. Humphrey wished he had a camera and take a picture of her. This is one of those moments he wanted to look back. However, this could be the last moment where he gets to see her like this. Humphrey hopes this wasn't the last moment. It's a fifty-fifty chance that they will win.

If there is a chance that they will fight them near the mountains or near it, they will definitely win with the logs and their allies without a doubt. He hopes that they will win. If not, then they can retreat as fast as they can and lose the war. Saving and defending lives is more important than winning a battle.

Humphrey sighed and laid down at the front entrance. He began to wonder if his dad will ever get involved in the fight, but right now that's not important. What's more important is when will they attack? When will they make their first move? And where? Humphrey looked down and began drawing the ground with the tip of his claw. He was curious to see if those animals would ever come and find this place. The Grizzly Bear was right. There may be animals who have a hard time believing in him, but that won't stop them from coming here. They wanted to defend their home, just like everyone.

Humphrey continues doodling as he let out another sigh until he heard wings flapping above him.

Humphrey looked up, and it was Marcel and Paddy, preparing for landing.

"Marcel, Paddy" Humphrey greeted them as they landed.

"Good god, that was a terrible flight," said Marcel.

"Wait what?"

"Well, Humphrey. We have some bad news" Paddy stated while fidgeting his wings nervously.

"Yes, yes. It appears the Blight Corps are making their move right now" Marcel added.

"Where," Humphrey asked loudly as he got up right in front of his face. "Where are they going?"

"They're coming from Northwest of Jasper, and it looks like they're heading southeast, but a little bit more towards the south," he said, making Humphrey widened his eyes and stopping his breath. He just realized something. When they first encounter the Blight Corps, it was in the Western Pack territory. When they encounter the second time, it was in the Northern Pack territory. To put this all together, this means that their camp is somewhere in the Northwest of Jasper. Not only that, they're heading towards the Western Pack territory. Humphrey began to reflect on the terrain in the Western Pack territory. There were mountains around their feeding, hunting, and the main ground except for the Western side of it where it's filled with trees. If they have a chance to lure them into that area, they will have the advantage. If they arrived there, then they don't have to lure them in. They can just ambush them.

"Good. That's all I need to know" Humphrey stated before smiling. This is good news for him. Humphrey will have a few worries about the battle. All that's left is their technologies and intelligence, which are their biggest strengths. No matter how strong or how fast you are, they always have the upper hand.

"I got to say. Your girlfriend looks quite pretty when she sleeps" Paddy stated as he looked over his shoulder.

"I know right" Humphrey replied, smiling as he stared at Kate. "Anyways, let me know if the animals we gather are here."

"Well, Humphrey. They're getting close to this area" Marcel responded.

"That is right. I think it will take several minutes for them to arrive, so be prepared" Paddy added on.

"I will." And with that, the goose and the yellow duck flew off into the sky, leaving Humphrey sitting at the entrance. Humphrey needs to get the pack ready for their arrival. He wanted to make sure they don't attack them as long as they understood what's going on. He was about to leave the den until someone spoke up.

"Humphrey...you're up early," she said behind him. Humphrey turned his attention to find Kate yawning and rubbing her eyes with her paws.

"Morning Kate," he said, walking towards her and gave her a morning kiss. When he kissed her, he felt something strange when he locked his lips with hers. It's very familiar. He had this kind of kiss before, but when though? Little did Humphrey know that this kiss has immense lust and love. Humphrey broke the kiss and looked into Kate's eyes. They were fogged up for some reason, and he could've sworn he saw her pupils turned into a heart-shaped one. Humphrey blinked his eyes, knowing that he must be imagining stuff.

"Morning Hummykin" she greeted him with a nickname that he hasn't heard for days.

"Hummykin. It's been a long time since I've heard that nickname" he stated, making Kate smiled.

"I know. We've been through a lot recently" she said before they both stare at the sunrise. "Hey, Humphrey..." Humphrey turned his gaze at his girlfriend, and she was blushing as she laid her head on his shoulder. "Do you think if we can make-" Then, Kate stopped talking. She stood up and began sniffing the air. Humphrey was about to ask her what's wrong until he smells the same scent that Kate was smelling. It was just not one scent. It's more than one scent, which means they are here and Humphrey didn't get the chance to get the pack ready.

"Let's go," he said, leaving the den. Kate nodded her head and began following him. She then finds herself staring at Humphrey's ass. She began to smile seductively as she glanced down at his jewels until she came to a realization. Kate blushed hard and shook her head rapidly before stopping herself while holding her head. What was she thinking?

She was about to repeat herself about another promise she made until she understood what's going on, which made her blushed even harder than before. Kate shook her head and decided to ignore that before continuing to follow Humphrey. Humphrey was in a hurry. He wanted to get to the pack as soon as possible before they start making trouble. While he was on his way, he spotted Winston who was limping his way back to the main den.

"Sir" he called out, catching Winston's attention. "We gotta inform the packs that the animals we gather are coming to this area, and are you okay by the way?"

"Y-Yeah," he said with blushing cheeks. "I'm fine. By the way, you don't have to be so formal with me. Just call me Winston, and you don't have to worry about that. I already inform the packs that they're coming." Humphrey let out a sigh of relief as he sat down. He stood back up and follow the scent to greet their arrival with Kate following him behind.

Humphrey looked around and saw the wolves from the group Winston formed earlier were going in different directions, which means they are going to greet them as he was heading towards North along with Kate.

When he got there, he saw Leon and the cougars, the Grizzly Bear, foxes, deer, porcupines, etc. Unfortunately, there's not much, but still a lot of them here. However, the prey was on the edge of their life as they stared at their predator. They were extremely scared of them and thought that they came to the place at the wrong time. Even the preys who possessed defensive abilities have their guard up with their eyes locked onto them. However, the predators have no interest in attacking or eating them. They are more worried about humans than their stomachs.

"So, are you the wolf who planned this crazy idea," said the female porcupine. Humphrey nodded his head as he stared at both sides, worrying about the predators attacking one of them.

"Are you sure the predators are not going to do anything? Especially you wolves" the big male caribou stated.

"Yes, I promise the predators are not going to do anything. We're here to work together to save our home" Humphrey responded.

"And when did you call Jasper home since you are raised by the monster," said the black bear. Humphrey was about to respond to that question until he realized something when he said that. Is he calling Jasper home considering that he called Idaho his home because that's where he was raised at? Humphrey was starting to get scared.

He is basically leaving the home that protects him at any cost, and leaving his human dad he loves so much behind. It almost brought tears to Humphrey's eyes. The fear of leaving his dad behind scares him more than the Blight Corps. Humphrey tries to toughen it out, but he couldn't. It's too much for him until Kate wrapped her tail around his.

"You don't need to worry about that" Kate stated as she stared down at the black bear. "All you need to worry about is the Blight Corps, and we are wasting our time here if we continue asking questions." Humphrey smiled to hear Kate's voice. He breathes in and out before speaking up as he gripped Kate's tail tightly with his.

"She is right. We don't have time to answer questions. From what I heard, the Blight Corps are on their way right now. So, I need to prove that I was raised by the creature you guys feared the most" said Humphrey. Everyone was shocked when they heard they were coming. Some of the animals are attempting to run away from this area or maybe Jasper park. "But that's why we are here. We are here to defend our home. As for me, the wolf who was raised by the monster, I want to help you guys. These monsters are called humans. That's their real name." And with that, Humphrey started to explain the capabilities they possessed and how is it going to help them.

The other wolves Humphrey saw earlier started to bring the rest to the area. Just in time for him to explain some stuff. So far, the predators are not attacking their prey for a long long time, which is what Humphrey wanted. Humphrey turned his attention towards the sun and saw that it's already morning. He was about to turn his gaze to the crowd until he saw something in the sky. A moon. Today...is the day of the solar eclipse. Humphrey sighed and turned his gaze towards the crowd.

He looked at every single one of them before he told them to follow him and lead them to the human camp. He looked back to make sure none of them would run away from any human signs they see or sense. From the looks of it, they feel uncomfortable because of the human sense. It's so strong within the area that they even looked around, waiting for one of them to pop out of the bushes and hear the signature sounds of their attacks.

"You guys are more welcome to leave and go back to your home if you want" Humphrey stated as he looked back at them. They did not want to go back despite their body is yelling at them to run away from the danger. Humphrey sighed as he looked ahead and saw the campers. He stopped walking before looking back at the others. "This is as far as you guys can go. You guys stay here" he said and began facing towards the human camp. Everyone hold their breath each time Humphrey took a step towards the human camp.

They stared at him fearfully, knowing that he will get jumped soon if he gets spotted. Some of them even looked away, not wanting to see his death and the monsters.

Humphrey looked ahead and saw his dad's camper truck. He turned his gaze at the window, and it was glowing brightly on the inside. Humphrey wonders what his dad was doing, so he began walking towards his dad's camper. As he was getting closer and closer to the camper, every animal closed their eyes and ears. They can't watch him die like this until they heard the door open up and they brace for it. They waited, and waited until they heard the monster spoke up.

"Oh hey Humphrey," said a male voice, and Humphrey barked at him softly. Everyone opened their eyes, and the first thing they saw shocked the world right in front of them. A human petting a wolf, and Humphrey had a huge smile plastered on his face with his eyes closed tightly and a speedy wagging tail. The human was rubbing his head side to side as Humphrey let out a happy howl. "Haven't seen you for quite a while" he stated. Kate smiled when she saw the human who saved her life. He was wearing that same clothing he wore when he fought the hunters, but Kate couldn't care less about that. She was too busy admiring at the sight of them reuniting again.

Humphrey dug his head deep into his petting, wanting more. Kate watched Humphrey's dad smiled as he continues petting him until she saw his head move and gaze deep into the forest. Most of the animals hid in the bushes, not making a sound until Humphrey's dad stop staring into the forest as he turned his gaze at Humphrey. He squats down to his level and looked at his face while he kept his hand on top of his head.

"Alright, buddy. I gotta do something important before I can play with you. Okay," he said rubbing his head. Humphrey panted happily in response and continue digging his head into his hand before his dad stood up and walked back to the camper. He looked back at Humphrey one last time with a smile on his face, and Humphrey smiled back at him widely with his tail wagging. He watched him closing the door and began doing his things, knowing that this might be the last sight of him. Humphrey pinned his ears against his head as he looked down.

He wished he could tell him with words that the Blight Corps are coming. Humphrey sighed before he walked back. He looked at the camper one last time and smiled. He was glad that he met him as a puppy and receive a lot of petting from him. He then turned his attention to the crowd to see them dropping their jaws when they saw his reunion.

"So..." Humphrey started as he began to smile cheekily. "Does that prove anything?" They didn't say anything because they were utterly shocked by the human's action. He was telling the truth, and there's no denying that it's a dream or a wish. As soon as he gets close to the crowd, everybody started ganging up on him, pushing Kate away from her Humphrey. Humphrey was unpleased as he was getting push back and forth by the crowds who constantly asking questions about what's it like to be a pet, etc. All those simple questions they are curious about, which Humphrey gets a lot from the pack.

"Alright alright alright" Humphrey repeated himself loudly, trying to escape from the crowd but he couldn't. He opened one eye and growled as he try to move from his spot. "We need to get ready for the Blight Corps before its too late!" When he said that, they immediately let go of him, and Humphrey smoothen out his fur before walking towards Kate.

"Let's get the packs ready, and we'll go to the Western Pack's territory and see if they are there" he said.

"Alright, hopefully the packs are not busy" she stated.

"If they are, we can just leave them be. I think we have enough to take some of them out."

"I hope so." And with that, they started heading back to the main ground and began gathering everyone up. They gather most of the wolves who are ready to face their nemesis while others stay behind due to their conditions that no one wants to know about. They also gather the logs like Humphrey planned at the start.

While they were on their way back to the Western Pack territory, Humphrey and Kate had learned a lot of things as they chat among the animals. Leon and the cougars are the cubs from that story of their mother getting killed right in front of them. The others began telling them how sorry they felt for them. A lot of animals who volunteer are involved with freedom. They wanted to be free and fight for their home.

Humphrey looked back at the crowd to make sure no carnivores attack the herbivores. He always wanted to make sure things go through smoothly as possible.

He was glad that none of them didn't start asking questions about the human world. It would be rough for him to explain things that they don't understand.

Kate walked up to him and began nuzzling his side. She looked at the ground and frowned because she thought that this could be their last time together, and Humphrey was thinking the same thing.

They are walking to their death, trying to regain the freedom the animals deserve and save their home. Humphrey took several deep breaths, trying to have faith in himself and the others. hoping that they would survive.

When they got there, the wolves from the Western Pack frowned at their deceased home. The main ground was burnt, the log bridge was not even there, the tree stump on top of someone's den is gone, everything is gone. It's just a no man's land. Everything that Kate grew up with is gone. Humphrey watched the wolves from the Western pack began inspecting the area of their home. Humphrey put his paw on Kate's shoulder before wrapping his tail around hers.

"Don't worry, your home will be as good as new once everything grows back" he said, making Kate smiled and she licked his right cheek.

"Thank you Humphrey" she replied.

"No problem-" Then, the same traumatizing scent occurs within the area. Everyone quickly looked deep into the forest. The scent was coming from there, back where the Raven Mocker came from. Humphrey and the others are not going to run away from it. They're going straight towards the scent. And with that, they began heading towards it. Humphrey remembers where this is going. It's heading towards a very special place for wolves from all four packs. The Moonlight Howl.

When they arrived, they saw no humans nearby the area, but the scent was still there. Humphrey looked at the Moonlight Howl. It's a perfect place to lure them in and use the logs to slide down the path that leads up from the top. He looked at Salty and gave them a signal to set up the logs. Salty and the others nodded their head, and they began working on setting up the logs.

Everyone was about to hide and ambush them until they smell the human scent right behind them. Everyone whipped their heads around, expecting that there was a human behind them this whole time, but it wasn't. It was the dogs, making Humphrey smiled when he recognized them.

"Guys," he said happily as he walked through the crowds.

"Humphrey, where are you going," Jade asked curiously, making him stop his tracks.

"Oh, uhhh, well...we heard the Blight Corps are coming-"

"AND YOU'RE PLANNING TO STOP THEM" Jade screamed, making Humphrey flinch and nodded his head. Jade dropped her jaws and was about to pass out until Kiana held onto her.

"You know that's a very dangerous thing to do, right Humphrey," she said.

"I know, but how are we going to get our parents involved with this situation? They can't understand us, so what other choice do we have? Run and wait for the Prime Minister from Canada and the President to make their move? It will be too late for them to do it."

"Well, we've done it before. Remember Storm brought your dad to save you and Kate from the hunters? We can do it again" Jade stated.

"Yeah, he's the boss of Idaho's Wilderness Sanctuary. He understood animal behavior" Titan added.

"But he's not prepared. Your parents are not prepared. If we bring them here, they'll just get themselves killed because they have nothing with them to protect."

"Speaking of that, they did come back to the camp with a lot of stuff from the gun store back in Idaho when we were all at Kiana's dad's RV," said Ace. Then, everyone widened their eyes. They have a chance at winning.

"We should go get my dad," said Humphrey.

"I'll go get him" Storm volunteered. "I've done it before, and it will happen again." Humphrey and his friends smiled as they looked at each other before looking back at him.

"Do it" said Humphrey. Storm then turned her attention back to where she came from. She was about to walk back to the camp until there was a loud bang, almost hitting Storm, but it frightened her. Everyone turned their attention to a shadowy tall figure deep in the forest. Before Humphrey could react, Lightning zoomed towards him and jumped. He then smacked him in the face and let out a war cry as he tries to dig his claws into his face until he saw that scar on his cheek. Lightning widened his eyes and ran back to Storm, checking on her to see if she's okay.

"Lightning, why did you back off," Humphrey asked him while the others glared at their nemesis.

"It's because he's one of those six humans you guys gave a nickname to them" he replied, making him and Kate widened their eyes as they looked back at the human. He was right. It is him. The Thunder King.

He wiped his cheek and smiled at them as he stood up with a rifle in his hand.

"Get ready to attack him. Make sure to move like a snake to dodge his attack-" Humphrey stopped talking after smelling hundred of scents right behind him along with immense presence. Everyone turned their gaze deep into the forest behind the Moonlight Howl as the moon began covering the sun, revealing the main army of the Blight Corps. Their eyes glow red from the reflected sunlight as they appeared through the tree lines. Humphrey counted at least less than fifty or forty people in that force, but still, they are going to need more than three to take one down.

Humphrey glared at the Raven Mocker who was standing in front of his army. He watched him grabbed something underneath his trench coat, and it was that same canister. He pulled the pin and looked at his target.

The Raven Mocker then throws the canister at outstanding speed due to their unique body structure, giving them small arms and long legs to give them a possession to throw projectiles at high speed and accuracy.

"LOOK OUT!" Hummer screamed, but the canister landed behind the Thunder King, exploding into flames.

"Did he miss?" Kate asked, looking back at the fire.

"No" Humphrey stated, catching her attention. "It was a good aim. He wanted to trap us here, but we'll give him everything we got" he said, glaring down at the one who killed Sargent as his archenemy's eyes glow bright bloody red. "THIS IS FOR JASPER PARK!"

And the war arc begins. Woooo I am so excited for the next four chapters. It's going to be intense and I'm loving it! I think the next four chapters would be around 2 or 3k words, but after the next four chapters. I will be updating Five Alphas, One Omega because I will definitely need a break from this story. Anyways, what did you guys think? What will happen next? I'm TheRavenMocker. Be a raven, mock the ravens. We'll see you guys at the next flight.
