For Vex, visions are so much more than warnings. They are stories of others like him, but also different. Those a part of the Null, a part of Purgatory. Unlike most people who have visions, however, Vex could be injured, if the main person of these visions is injured. The bullet wound during the Citadel Rescue was proof of this.

As the train passed through the tunnel, something odd occurred. On the chair across from me, as the weak lights flashed every now and then, a figure would appear and disappear, along with a box that would do the same on the small table. As the train exits the tunnel, the light of the sun blinds me for a moment.

As my eyes adjust, the box that would shimmer in and out of reality stood alone on the table. Without thought, I place my hand on the box, and in response, it opened, revealing a small prism and an mp3 player, along with a note.

'All of us need something to keep us busy in this place. My first gift to you, lost soul, is a device that holds all the music of your past, along with a few recordings for advice that you may one day need. You will understand later, as of the one who recorded these.

My second gift is a key. A piece of the Null Element, which is what cages us in this eternal prison. Though, i probably should not call this a prison. It is more of a home, than anything. We are all here for each other, brothers not by blood, but by experience. The Null shard should help you use your powers more efficiently, if what I was told is correct. God be with you.'

- Murat The Bear

"Vex?" Captain Rex calls, and Vex opens his eyes, Rex's figure sitting across from him at the table, where the player and prism now lay. "What... just happened?" He looks at him with confusion, his eyes darting between the items on the table and Vex, who blinks a few times as the rest of the mess hall returns to his vision, along with everyone else also in sight.

"I'm not entirely certain." Vex answers gently. His visions, and the Voices, were occurring more often. But he still didn't understand why. Vex takes the Prism and MP3 Player, placing the Prism on his lap while he scrolls through the songs at random.

"What's that?" Ahsoka's voice brings Vex out of his trance, as he looks to her. She's eyeing the Prism in curiosity. She looks to him in askance, and his nod is all she needs before she takes the Prism and inspects it. "It looks similar to a Sith Holocron." Unknown to anyone around, tendrils of null energy arc from the Prism into Ahsoka, infecting her, so to speak, and bringing her into the Null's embrace

"I don't think it is anything made by Jedi or Sith." Vex admits. "What can you sense of it?" Ahsoka takes a seat, placing the Prism on the table, and closes her eyes, reaching out with the Force.

"It reminds me of you." She answers. "It feels... loss. As though it has watched planets rise and fall, live and die. But, it's warm. It wants to care for and protect. To... I suppose be a parent almost. To care for those it is linked to." She opens her eyes, looking to Vex. "The warmth, it reminds me of you. You only show care for people unless given reason otherwise." Vex smiles in thanks.

"That means a lot." Vex states softly. He then looks to Rex, glancing between the two. "I'm gonna go to my quarters. I think there's more to this than what it is willing to show in public."

"I'll check up on you in the next rotation. To make sure you don't end up breaking anything or injuring yourself again." Rex warns, before taking his leave. Ahsoka turns to Vex.

"Could I come?" She asks.

"Sure. I'm just not sure you will see anything. This is Null focused, not the Force." Vex allows, as they make their way to his quarters. Along the way, Vex feels a pull towards a particular song, and leaves it on pause, waiting until they entered the room, the door closed behind them, before letting it play.

Sen gülünce güller açar gülpembe (When you smiled, roses bloomed, Rosepink)

"What language is that?" Ahsoka wonders aloud.

Bülbüller seni söyler (Nightingales sang your name)

"If I remember, this is from my realm. The language is Turkish, if I am remembering correctly." Vex answers, a little surprised.

Biz dinlerdik gülpembe (We used to listen to them, Rosepink)

"I see you found my song." A gentle, yet deep voice calls. A man in military uniform, kit and all, walks to Vex, the room around them fading, but leaving Ahsoka to see, her confusion, and awe palpable. In the distance, a man almost identical to the one before them, is stumbling up a mountain, shot in the same place Vex was after the vision during the Citadel Rescue.

"Murat the Bear." Vex states, unconsciously speaking the name he somehow knew belonged to the soldier before him. He smiles gently, as they seem to follow the other person, as he sets a trap, and continues to the top of the mountain, collapsing to the ground and activating the radio.

Sen gelince bahar gelir gülpembe (As spring came, so did you, Rosepink)

Dereler seni çağlar (Creeks said your name)

Sevinirdik gülpembe (We used to be happy, Rosepink)

"34-50, Murat, are you there?" A feminine voice calls from the radio, concern evident in her words. The other 'Murat', as is revealed, laughs in relief, rolling himself over a little bit.

"What's your name?" 'Murat' asks through the radio. Vex watches on, Ahsoka by his side, as they both look to Murat, the one beside them, as he shifts uneasily.

"Name?" The voice asks in confusion.

"Yes, your name." 'Murat' confirms before sighing. "Forgive me, I'm curious."

"Gökçe. My name is Gökçe." She answers softly. "Never mind that. How badly are you hurt?"

Gündüz yağmurlarıyla (With daylight rains)

Bir gün göçtün gittin (You left and went one day)

İnanamadık gülpembe (We couldn't believe it, Rosepink)

Bizim iller sessiz (Our village was empty)

Bizim iller sensiz (Our village couldn't be)

Olamadı gülpembe(Without you, Rosepink)

"The bullet drilled my spleen." 'Murat' explains with pain, and vex places a hand over the same area he was wounded, on his own body, a faint grimace at the memory.

"Stay with me. I can get you help." Gökçe assures, only for 'Murat' to stop her.

"No. I've lost too much blood. Even with the fastest transport, no one would reach me in time." He states. "I'll give you the coordinates, but I don't have much time, Gökçe."

Dudağında son bir türkü gülpembe(The last song from your lips, Rosepink)

Hala hep seni söyler(Still sings about you)

Seni çağırır gülpembe(Still calls you, Rosepink)

"I promised Murat no bombs. But I didn't think he'd mind if I gave some 20mm support" The burst of heavy gunfire echoes in the mindscape, as enemy soldiers are mowed down by the Jet Fighter, the other troopers crying out in victory and thanks.

"I've got another set of coordinates for you. You can drop some bombs there." 'Murat' explains, his voice quiet as he slowly dies. "400214103-05179962."

"Your location." Gökçe notes, her breath hitching. Moments later, the hill detonates, killing everyone on the hill, Vex notices as the surroundings return to his room, Ahsoka still by his side, and Murat standing before them.

"You look just like him." Murat states almost silently, but enough for Vex and Ahsoka to hear, though they stay quiet. "You may have all you need in this room, but if you call for me, or anyone else, know that we will answer and lend a hand."

"How would I call for you?" Vex questions in curiosity.

"The song. I was given the nickname of 'Rosepink' in my time, because the song seemed to give me strength when things went wrong." Murat chuckles. "If you say 'Rosepink' in any way, I'll lend you a hand. It may not be me physically, but you will gain some help, something, or someone from my time."

"Alright. I assume answers for everything aren't quite allowed." Vex states.

"You're already getting the hang of things." Murat laughs, as his form begins to fade. "Just believe in yourself. you should be fine." once he was gone, Ahsoka finally speaks up.

"What... was that?" She is mostly speechless, shocked at what she just witnessed.

"I'm honestly amazed you were able to see that. Normally, you wouldn't have seen anything at all. You would be left in the room, and I would seem almost intangible, from what Rex tells me." Vex admits.

"Does it always feel so... welcoming?" She questions.

"For me, yeah. I'm not sure about others though. This has never occurred." Vex answers, finding the song had paused, he plays the rest of it, as both him and Ahsoka listen to the final verses.
