A/N - Alright. So I know this story is all over the place. That is why I'm doing this chapter. It's a basis that explains the outline of events that occur. You don't have to read this if you don't want, as it will spoil most important events and how they will go, but again, it's up to you.

It starts on Christophsis. In his 16 year old body, Vex awakens near the opening battle of Star Wars The Clone Wars episode The Hidden Enemy. Following a feeling, cliche and typical. I will probably think of something better for his awakening and finding of the Jedi, but for now, this is all I've got. He arrives in the building that Anakin and Obi-Wan are evacuating. He steals a blaster from an armoured corpse, a faint familiarity to it, as he sneaks as much as he can, and fights periodically, until he reaches the roof. Vex either stumbles, or takes a hit, and one of the Clone Troopers bravely rescues him, losing his life mere seconds after getting him aboard the gunship. As it departs, Vex is rather solemn, not fully listening to the conversation in the background.

When they reach the base, Vex is swiftly given a bacta patch, and wrapping the wound. He then wanders around the base, stumbling into the comms room, finding Rex and Cody a little frustrated. Anakin and Obi-Wan then walk in, and the whole scene goes as it should. Vex then notices that one of the comms is active, and points it out to the four, with Anakin and Obi-Wan looking towards a shadow in the hallway. Rex and Cody give chase, and Anakin and Obi-Wan inform Vex that they are still leaving. They still needed more answers. Once they leave, Artoo bumps into Vex continuously to get his attention. He shows a graph of the outgoing communications. There's a barely visible spike over the last few days, all at the same time, and all from one area. The moment Rex and Cody return, once more frustrated, and rather hurt emotionally, Vex shows them, stating that Artoo found it while they were chasing the culprit.

The interrogation goes mostly as normal, but at the end, when Rex and Cody chase Slick, Vex stays back with the squad. Vex is pushed to the ground, a trooper using his own body to shield him when an explosion rocks the room, and several more rock the base. Vex gets up, finding a somewhat intact blaster, firing it at a wall to make sure it actually works, before scouring the base. He does find Slick, standing above both Rex and Cody. With pinpoint accuracy, he shoots Slick in the head. Rex and Cody stand shakily, and get themselves checked by the medic. Anakin and Obi-Wan return, and everyone meets up. The Jedi learn of the loss of most heavy weapons, and Vex, Rex and Cody learn of the incoming army.

Star Wars The Close Wars Movie then comes up next. Vex has taken to the front lines, saying that, while young, he can think fast on his feet and fight to hold his own. For proof, he goes through a small training session, mostly to see how he can hold his own. He proves proficient in every weapon they get him to try.

When the first attack comes, Vex takes a group of sharpshooters into the crystal skyscrapers, setting them up in different interval locations, one behind another, behind another, and so on, for all 8 of them. One on each side of a building. It should be noted, these buildings aren't directly in front or behind another. If that were the case, it would remove effectiveness. The 8 sharpshooters each have a zone they focus on, so they don't have to spread their vision and attention across too large an area that it would create more blind spots. They focus on command structure, and spotting. They are the ones who give Intel to the ground troops so they know what is coming, and shoot any high ranking officials. Whorm Loathsom was not present at the first attack, as he was instead using several tactical droids to issue his orders and plan the assault. Once the battle was over, Obi-Wan offered the idea of sending a shuttle up to the Resolute, to Admiral Yularen, for a resupply of munitions, and a few fresh troopers to bolster the diminishing ranks.

The second battle then occurs. The AV-7 Cannons are used for this one, as there are far more heavy weapons on the Separatists end. Their use would force the Seps to retreat far sooner than the previous battle, and the snipers had spotted Loathsom and informed the others. Kenobi wanted the General alive, however, so the snipers were told not to kill him. By the time the second battle ended, the shuttle returned. Rather than ammo, or troops, a young Togruta is instead brought down from the ship. The usual introductions occur. Ahsoka and Anakin make a great pair, and Vex actually admits it to Obi-Wan when the two depart. When the shield battle occurs, Vex has a heavy amount of input, and several of his plans are put into motion. When the battle is over, Vex joins them to Teth. Vex only has 2 sharpshooters from Torrent Company, so he takes as much care as he can with choosing a location to shoot from. They focus on the Spider Droids, reducing the risk of losing AT-TE's. They open fire about 5 minutes before the rest of the Company arrives at the base of the cliff. Not all spider droids are eliminated, as they move to precarious places to avoid being destroyed. In the end, two AT-TE's make it up, rather than just the one. Vex and his sharpshooters are brought to the monastery once it is taken. Vex shoots the caretaker droid on sight. He also suggests one of the walkers move into the hallway, and hold position further back for if/when the droids come for a counter attack. When the droids do come, it helps them fight for a few moments longer, but not by much, considering it was Ventress there too. Vex is knocked out, comes too during the final part of the battle, then passes out again. He will wake up later, Anakin and Ahsoka by his medical cot. They have a heartfelt moment, then the end.

While Ahsoka and Anakin search for Plo Koon, Vex is aboard the Resolute, and trains alongside some of the 501st. Now, a note for the side, the war lasts 6 years, and both Vex and Ahsoka start at the age of 16, so their bodies are a bit more durable than if they were both 14. So Vex is training with Rex and the remnants of Torrent Company, the survivors of Teth, having formed a bond with them. Rex would get a comm call from Yularen informing him of Anakin's return, and he brings Vex along. They meet up, with Plo Koon and Vex introduced to each other, and then they go to the Council briefing, which, of course, won't be written.

The following plan comes with the surprise of Vex saying he can fly. A vision, or memory fragment, gave him the knowledge. Obviously, however, he isn't set to fly, but instead be a gunner. Plo Koon decides to join in a Y-Wing of his own, taking Vex as his gunner. Beyond the usual banter, things go normally.

When Nute Gunray is captured, Vex and Ahsoka are sent to transport him alongside Jedi Master Luminara Unduli. Anakin mentions to both Vex and Ahsoka, saying he has a bad feeling, thus he sent Vex, who, by now, had been a proven soldier through all the training, and of course the events on Christophsis and Teth, sending him as an added guard.

Vex is immediately cautious when the Senate Commando's are shown in the transmission, mentioning quietly to Ahsoka that he doesn't trust them. His reasoning is mostly from the result of Slick. Vex doesn't trust non-clones as much, because they are even more likely to do what Slick did, betray the Republic, and not for what Slick had wanted, but for money.

When Ventress arrives with the droids, and one of the troopers call a warning, though incomplete, Vex unholsters his weapons, informing the others of a coming fight. Only Ahsoka moves to grab her weapon, however, none of the commandos doing anything to start. Now, before this, Ahsoka and Vex had been training together for working together against a human/humanoid foe that could fight Jedi. As Ahsoka focuses on keeping Ventress on her toes saber wise, Vex would attack with martial arts, redirecting her attacks and landing quick, precise palm and fist strikes. Luminara would then arrive, three troopers, Gree included, alongside her. She would speak her usual spiel, demanding Ventress surrenders. She severely damages one of the reactors, before fleeing through an elevator shaft. Vex stops Ahsoka before she can try to follow, the elevator zooming down. Vex turns, and finds the other Senate Commandos dead, Argyus and Gunray gone, the cell door deactivated.

Gree would report the ship crippled, and Luminara would give orders. Vex would interrupt her, giving reasons for Ahsoka to go with her to confront Ventress. She declines, still, being a stubborn shit, and Vex and Gree both tell Ahsoka to follow her. Gree gathers the survivors, and they go hunt Argyus. They manage to stop them at the docking bay, a firefight standstill keeping them stationary. When Ventress arrives to escape, she barrels through the group, killing a couple of troopers who can't move out of the way fast enough. Vex and Gree recover first, and manage to shoot Argyus as he tries to flee. While Gunray gets away, Argyus doesn't. In the end, after contacting General Fisto, then Anakin, Ahsoka and Vex leave for the Resolute.

For the Campaign of Ryloth, it's gonna stay mostly the same as it is. The difference will be, of course, rather than 'knowing' about the U.S.S Valkyrie and the speech, Vex will just hear it in the background of the scene. Also, he will take Ima Gun Die's saber crystal, letting Anakin hand the Saber hilt to the Jedi. He would create a special Plasma rifle for himself, which utilized the kyber crystal as a way to create bolts of plasma, more powerful than the normal blaster. He would be tinkering with the finished product at the end of the chapter.

Geonosis is going to be where Vex gets to use his specialized weapon for the first time. The start would actually give a basic explanation of the weapon's functions. Again, things will go pretty much the same as I have them now, with just some aesthetic changes. The Null will certainly help to save Ahsoka, but most of it will be Vex's Reaper powers, and his Dragon heritage. I do also need to work on his actual birth story for a later date. The whole conversation between him and Anakin will be a bit different as well, going more along the lines of 'I don't think I'm human', rather than 'I did what was natural'. The Brain Worm part is going to be almost the same.

ARC Troopers, and how the battle of Kamino goes, is going to be almost exactly as it goes in the current chapter. However, with Vex being without a lightsaber, he won't engage Grievous close range. He will throw things at him, push him around, and generally just keep him as far from the troopers in the hangers as much as possible. Grievous would still manage to scamper away from Vex, who returns to the hanger in time to help the survivors fall back, leading them to the barracks, meeting Rex, Cody, 99 and the young-ling clones and joining forces. The ending with Shaak Ti, is about the Togruta species, and learning it from a Togruta. Shaak Ti is just a bit of a teaser to Vex about the possibly growing crush he has on Ahsoka.

Mortis Arc. This will mark the halfway point of the war. Most of it is going to stay similar to how it is already written, but with changes to how the backstory of Vex has changed. He will actually get distraught at seeing Ahsoka die, and will unleash a mass of power, and brutally murder the Son, the Sacrificial Dagger emerging from the Null to properly kill the Son. The Lothwolf is still important, as it is a guide for when he visits Lothal later. Vex will still hear the faint calls of Luke and Vader in the far future, but he won't understand who they are until he meets Luke years later.

The Citadel. Now, this one was difficult. Before season 7 was released, and before I knew of the unfinished reels, Echo was going to be saved. After the reels, I decided to make it that he still loses some limbs, but survives, and now… well… I want to let his story run as is. He will 'die' like normal. Vex is now more easily frustrated. He finds that many people want this war to just end, and they no longer think as well as they used to. Obi-Wan was having a few 'bad plan' moments, and Vex would snap pretty quick. The council, however, was the worst of them. Vex would snap at them rather frequently. The change in how Anakin and Obi-Wan work on this mission is also rather apparent, and Vex will make note of that, though it will merely frustrate him more. Once it reaches their rescue, because everything else seems to go normally, he tortures Sobeck with lava. Totally natural. Getting shot by an inter-dimensional bullet will still happen. But it's actually the recreation of a previous Vex's wound. A side effect of the Null. At least, it doesn't allow something lethal to travel through him. He's got just enough plot armour to dodge those.

Umbara. This arc is frustrating. By this point, it's halfway through the 4th year of the war, and Vex holds the rank of Captain. He basically holds rank as Rex's second, but when the Jedi are gone, he actually outranks Rex, and this is something that Rex, Anakin and Ahsoka all agreed on. So anyway, the biggest thing to change with Umbara, is removing Murat. He isn't exactly needed, or even necessary for the story anymore. Just a side character of a past Null Life. When Rex calls the first retreat, and fights Krell back with words, Vex warns him that Krell is playing them, mentioning that of all the Jedi he's met in the Temple and on other missions, are nothing like Krell. Vex speaking up and saying that he will be there up front to help, and how there is nothing they can do to stop Krell's reckless strategies still happens. The second battle, the one with the centipedes and tanks will go as usual. Vex will call upon the Null to injure Krell, however. He will still be placed in prison, and then be released when Krell is to be brought in. For the battle between them, however, it is going to be more focused on his Reaper powers, because if you remember, there is no lightsaber yet.

After Umbara, and the loss of his limb, Vex is taken the the Jedi Temple for healing and a replacement limb. For the 6 months he is stuck in the Temple, Vex trains in the ways of fighting with a lightsaber, memories of his life as Ven Zallow speeding up his growth. Then, the bombing on the temple happens within the final month of his break. This time, the Jedi Council gets on his nerves more than before. Especially with how they treat Ahsoka. As he helps with the investigation, by ignoring the orders given to him, he feels the emotions of Barriss as she passes him in the halls. He begins a side investigation, or at least tries to, into her actions recently. With that failing, and Ahsoka being found, he goes and risks it. He visits Barriss, and does the thing Anakin does normally. He takes her blue saber, and purposely tries to kill her, forcing her to take Ventress' sabers to defend, then attack, expecting him to be an easy kill. Vex then pulls her along through the Temple, in control of the fight the whole time. She does then jump through the glass, and will get pinned to the tree. Anakin will then arrive, mention something about stealing his thunder, with Vex just saying to take her to the courts before Ahsoka is executed.

At the end of this one, Vex also leaves the Jedi, stating that while he will help the war effort, he feels disgusted by their actions.

Vex would travel to Lothal, parting ways with Ahsoka momentarily, following a vision. He finds the Temple, and goes inside, through one of the many doorways in the mountain. He finds a Null Holocron, made by another version of himself. It explains that he is but a portion of the original, given a chance to live a normal, as in, non repeating life. He won't get any flashbacks of past lives, but he will be able to cultivate powers that his original can use, alongside his Reaper powers that are somewhat dormant or passive. He learns of his matter manipulation, and Energy manipulation, his two main powers. For matter manipulation to work in the way of cloning an existing item, he must first know how and why the item works the way it does, what each and every single component can and cant do. This would later be what helps him build his fleet during the Rebellion.

His energy manipulation is about manipulating the surrounding energies. Whether those are the energies in a person, or the energies surrounding the universe, it doesn't fully matter, as he can use them. He mostly uses energy manipulation to enhance himself, or his lightsaber, with the blade being made of pure energy. Speaking of his lightsaber, he finds one waiting for him along with the Holocron. It is a double ended one, but he would only use the second side if he wanted to end a fight quickly. While on Lothal, both Fives and Rex would contact him, mentioning Tup and what happened. He would rush over, just in time to find Fives, barely hear his final spiel before Commander Fox guns him down. Vex would rush to his side, but energy and matter manipulation can't stop someone from dying. He wold hold Fives in his arms as he gives his dying words. After this, Vex, telling Rex to wait for his word, would search for details himself, revolving around these chips, saying he would not let Fives' death be in vain. He would uncover the truth of the chips, and tell Rex, asking him to de-chip a select company, one that would later form as Ahsoka's 332nd. These men are loyal to Rex, Anakin, Ahsoka and Vex. Men who have survived these six years of war alongside them together. When Rex mentions about bringing the truth to Anakin, Vex says no. He explains, that because Fives said the chancellor is involved, Anakin can't be involved, his connection to the chancellor to great for it not to slip that something had been done. Vex does, however, inform Plo-Koon, who de-chips the Wolf Pack. Shaak Ti is informed as well, but as she has no Battalion of her own, she tries to watch things from on Kamino. She is unable to de-chip anyone, however. Obi-Wan is informed, but he doesn't believe them, saying even if the chips are there, that the troops won't betray them. That they've been through too much. He has full faith in his soldiers. Vex would then return to Ahsoka's side.

The Siege of Mandalore. This one would be tough to explain. It would mostly go as normal, but the Death Watch under Maul would take heavier casualties earlier. Vex would be heavily involved in the planning, his methods being rather brutal against the enemy. He would also incorporate specialised slug throwers that could do better work piercing the Beskar armour.

Maul would be left to Ahsoka, as usual. Vaughn, will still pass away. This time, however, Maul will be freed by Vex when Order 66 occurs. He mentions that the former Sith would have something planned, and would likely still manage to throw a few kinks in the Empire, thus letting him free and even giving him a shuttle. The troopers would have to fight their brothers, and with the Shock Troopers being impervious to stun shots, they would be forced to kill them. The Tranquility would become the first ship of Vex's fleet, staying in service even at the Battle of Endor. Will be explained more later.

In between the end of the Republic and the beginning of the Rebellion, several things will happen. Ferus Olin, and his story, will still occur. But rather than Obi-Wan saving him, it will be Vex. Vex will then ask him to watch over Leia, and his story will follow the books.

Galen Marek will exist. Vex will run into him in the time he hunts for Rahm Kota, joining him and teaching him a few tricks along the way. He will be by his side until his death. The Rebellion will then be founded, once again, under his family crest. Mon Mothma is still the one to supply the people, and her rallying speech in Rebels is how she gathers a majority of them. Iblis gives his Corellian Corvettes, letting them be 'stolen', as Alderran would do with her own. Alderran will still fund them, even beyond it's destruction, as Leia would still have the funding to give.

Vex would be alongside the entire Rebels team, once Ezra joins. He helps to teach the boy how to fight, but leaves the Jedi work to Kanan, who he also explains the Bad Batch to, about how they didn't all execute the order, and helped him by pretending he died. He would meet back up with Ahsoka during this, and would be shown the World Between Worlds, which he would mention is the biggest problem in the Galaxy, for the reason that Palpatine could control everything if he has access. He would also part ways with them on occasion, returning to Lothal. He begins to call it his home. He would commune with the spirits of the planet often in the early days. In the end, when Ahsoka goes to search for Thrawn and Ezra, Vex will offer his support, but mention that he was needed by another Skywalker. Ahsoka would understand, and let him go for a while.

In the middle of all this, Vex would also begin to build a state of the art fleet for the Rebel Alliance. These frigates and cruisers will be based off those from the game Galaxy On Fire 2. He will also retrofit R22 Spearheads and Y-Wings to be more powerful for the entire alliance. They will still strip the normal R22 and make the A-Wing, but the R22's will still be heavily favoured, with Vex's upgrades. The T-65's will still be the superior fighter, but Vex got the R22's pretty damn close to matching them.

Scariff is the next big event for Vex. He participates, bringing his still building fleet to help get the Death Star Plans. He also manages to save a decent amount of Blue Squadron, when he manages to pierce through the shield with a full squadron of 14 fighters. He is unable to save the ground team, however. He then returns to Yavin, when not too many days later, another Skywalker arrives. Unfortunately, they don't get much time to talk, as the fighters are scrambled to attack the Death Star. Blue Squadron, Red Squadron, Green Squadron, Gold Squadron and three of Vex's Squadrons, attack the Death Star. Red and Gold Squadron are the ones to run through the trench, while the others hold off the fighters. Things there go as normal.

When everyone returns, and after the celebration, Vex will find Luke and converse with him, mentioning that he hasn't seen such good shooting since he flew with his father. Vex would mention all the good things about his father, saying that he is a good man. Luke will catch that, and ask why he says is, rather than was. Vex would mention that, while he wasn't ready to know what and where his father was, that he was still alive and kicking. He would then train Luke how to fight with a lightsaber, though he would say he needed to find the other Jedi things himself.

During the Battle of Hoth, Vex isn't there, but instead is helping Ahsoka hunt down one of Thrawn's followers outposts. When he returns to the fleet, he finds Luke with a new hand, and the truth out in the open. Luke will ask about why he kept the truth of his Father being evil, and Vex would say he isn't evil. He would explain how Anakin is depressed. He went to try and save his wife, betraying everything he knew, and when he failed, he felt his current situation was a fitting punishment for himself. He did loathe the Jedi still. But he would also mention, that Luke is the first glimmer of hope and light Anakin will have seen, as everyone from his past, even if they wanted to help him, only brought painful thoughts. To Vex, Anakin was simply being chained, he would mention so to Luke, who would say it sounded like slavery, and Vex would agree.

Luke would grow over the next 3 years to be a good man, just like his father, and Vex would say how proud he is, and how proud Anakin would be. Vex would then say, however, that his fight would be his own, mentioning again, that he would only bring pain, so he would stay away, and fight with the others. During the Battle of Endor, Vex would have his fleet, and even the still kicking troopers of the 501st and 332nd onboard the upgraded Tranquility. They provide a heavy amount of cover for the fleet, alongside Vex's other ships, with bulkier shields, Hull and more firepower, being the Vanguard and Shield for the Rebel Alliance, much as they never wanted, but desperately needed.

Now, I haven't read much of the post Endor stuff, but most of it will occur. And no, I don't mean the Sequel bullshit, but the Legends stuff. The most I can answer and explain, is that Vex and Ahsoka will die fighting in the Vong War, though Vex's fleet will continue on long after Star Wars time ends. Vex and Ahsoka's spirits wil also be there to watch over the future of the Skywalkers, and the Galaxy as a whole. Vex would be contactable from Lothal, the Lothwolves being a key to speaking with him. Ahsoka will be there in your time of need, guiding you through the right path, no matter if light or dark. They will always be there, just as the Force will be.

So, this is the story basis. Believe me, this is meant to be a long ass story. It's meant to give Vex a new life, one where he could live as he wished, without being shackled as a supernatural being as his original life did. He gets to find love, gets to enjoy moments of life. This Vex does not continue after death. He will be a one and only, a one timer. There will be no memories of his time here, only that of his life as Ven Zallow, in the other story offshoots. I will mention that this is a heavily watered down basis, mostly because things are still to be decided in the finer details, such as whether he will actually have a family or not, but that will be a spur of the moment thing I suppose. Let me know what you think.
