Author's note: Hey Guys! Here is the second part of my story "Love at first sight."

It was raining quite heavily, but Félix didn't care, when he was on his way home. He loved the rain. The air just smelled much fresher and had a calming effect on him. He also had an umbrella with him. He was walking past the local park when he saw a young girl with red hair sitting on a bench completely soaked. Immediately he realized who the girl was. Pepa Madrigal.

There she was. Right in front of him. It hurt to see her so broken. He wanted to comfort her and help her, but for some strange reason, he couldn't get his legs moving. So he just stood there and probably looked like a fool. Félix sighed. He had a crush on Pepa since he first saw her. He tried to get into a conversation with her when they first met, but at that moment Trevor came. Her "perfect" boyfriend. He hated that guy. He dragged her with him and Félix stood there and didn't even have the opportunity to ask her for her name. That was the only meeting of the two and that was about 3 months ago. The next day, Trevor had threatened him and advised him to stay away from Pepa. Well, most would now think that Félix is a socially akward, clumsy and shy boy, but you couldn't be further from that. In fact, he was even quite optimistic, funny and extroverted. The only problem why he hadn't approached Pepa yet, Pepa had a boyfriend. And he didn't have a chance against Trevor.

So he stood with an umbrella at the other side of the playground hidden behind a tree, where he had a good view of Pepa. When he saw her so desperately, he was torn back and forth. On the one hand, she looked quite sad and he really wanted to help her. On the other hand, if her boyfriend found out, not only he, but also she could have serious problems with him. The last thing he wanted was for Pepa to get into trouble with her boyfriend because of him. So he stood there for a while and waited. Finally, he could no longer stand to see her so hurt and began to approach her.

With every step he took, Félix could feel his heart beat until he finally stepped next to her. "Hello!", his hand rose to a wave. Pepa just turned her head away and let out a sob. She knew it came across as extremely rude, but she just wanted to be alone at that moment. Félix' hand slowly lowered and he looked up into the rain. He stood next to Pepa and said nothing for a second.

"I love the sound of rain. It's always had a calming effect on me." he said as he sat down on the bench next to her. This was the completely opposite gesture that Pepa would have expected from him after she had been so unfriendly and ignored him. She wasn't even sure if he meant it or not, so she just turned away from him again.

Suddenly, she no longer felt the rain that had run over her face just a few seconds ago. Confused, she looked up only to see a yellow umbrella above her. "Are you okay, Pepa?" he asked cautiously. Surprised, she turned to him. He had positioned the umbrella to protect them both from the rain. She decided that it was impossible for her to continue ignoring him after this gesture and so she thought it was fair that she at least answered his question. "I'm fine." she replies hesitantly. They stared at each other for a few seconds and it was not to be overlooked that he didn't believe her. However, he did not elaborate further on what Pepa was extremely grateful for when she turned her head away from him again.

Felix didn't know exactly what to do. It was quite obvious that she was not doing well. Heaven alone confirmed that she was not telling the truth, but to be honest, he had never comforted a girl. He feverishly thought about how he would normally comfort his friends or how his mother would comfort him. Slowly and carefully, he put an arm around her shoulder and pulled her into a hesitant hug. He didn't know if that was okay for her, but he thought that was the best thing he could do right now. And so they sat in pleasant silence for a while until Pepa straightened up again. "Thank you," it came cautiously from her as she wiped the last tears from her face and smiled slightly, but immediately her face darkened again.

Felix pov:

"What's going on?" I asked anxiously as she changed her expression. "Trevor. He... he...", she did not get any further when a new wave of sadness came over her and she began to sob again. My feelings got out of control. She drove me crazy with all the Trevor stuff. He doesn't even like her. I already felt that when we first met. "He... he...", she tried again. Did Trevor hurt her? Have they broken up? "What did he do?" I tried to sound as reassuring as possible, but that probably won't change anything. "He broke up with me." I see the tears in their eyes. She sighs. "Oh Pepa," I said apologetically as I pulled her back into a hug, which she gratefully accepted.

"Anyone who is stupid enough to break up with you has missed the chance of a lifetime. Trevor never deserved you. Any man would be happy to have you in his life." I look down at her and see her looking at me with a confused face." Are you serious?" she asked me and I noticed her lip twitching as if she was afraid of my answer. I started smiling. "Of course." My face brightened up with my answer. I met her green eyes, which seemed to captivate me. At that moment, their tears stopped, as did the rain over us, which turned into a slight drizzle. Her eyes had the most beautiful green color I had ever seen. I just couldn't look away and was hypnotized. I leaned a little closer and she seemed to do it too. Our faces were only a few inches apart when suddenly Pepa's phone started ringing.

(no Pov)

Surprised, Pepa flew out of Félix's arms, her face flaming red and her eyes wide open. What did they just want to do?! "I-uh... should take off. Yes!" then she quickly took out her mobile phone and left the bank briefly.

Félix sat there stunned, because there was no way he had just been about to kiss Pepa. He moaned and rubbed his hair. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. He should have pushed her away. They were friends. Just friends, if at all. Félix was so lost in thoughts because of the almost kiss that he didn't even notice Pepa. He didn't notice her until she sat down next to him and waved a hand in front of his face. Surprised, he winced. How long had he been in his thoughts? He looked at her questioningly.

"That was my mother. I should come home." she said dejectedly.

Félix stood up from the bench and Pepa watched as he turned around and held out the umbrella to her with a smile. Pepa had big eyes and saw from the umbrella to Félix to see if he was serious, but Félix' friendly look was firm and determined. "Here you can have it." "No, you don't have to go home without it in this weather. Besides, you've already done so much for me." she said when she thankfully refused the umbrella. "No problem. I insist on it," Félix said as he continued to offer her the umbrella. When Pepa realized that none of them would give in, another thought came to her mind that would solve her little problem.

"I have a better idea," Pepa said with a smile. "If you don't mind, I would be very grateful if you would accompany me home... ehm. I'm sorry, I never got your name," she began. She was kind of embarrassed. He had comforted her, listened to her and she hadn't even asked for his name. Félix giggled a bit. "Félix.", he introduced himself with an exaggerated bow. Pepa couldn't help but laugh. "Alright then, If you'll allow," he said, offering her a hand. Pepa took his hand with a smile and let him pull her up.

Under a large yellow umbrella, they walked hand in hand towards Casita, the house of the Madrigal family.
