AN: Hey guys. Actually, I didn't plan to write another chapter, but someone wanted at hird part. So here it is. Hope you like it.
The two walked silently along the path, both occupied with their own thoughts. Felíx glanced at the woman walking next to him under the umbrella. He still couldn't believe it. He had actually managed to make friends with Pepa Madrigal. To be honest, he wanted more than just friendship and now that she had broken up with her boyfriend Trevor, he gratefully accepted the chance to win her over.
Although he would have liked to tell her today what he felt for her, he decided against it. She had just gone through a breakup and he definitely didn't want to take advantage of her feelings in this way. The first way to build a relationship was probably to talk to her. The two talked long after it got dark. Actually, Felíx had planned to accompany them home, but instead they took a night walk through the city to spend as much time together as possible.
It was already dark when they finally arrived at their home. As soon as Pepa reached the front door, she turned to Felíx, who was closing his umbrella and carefully stowed it away. Satisfied, she looked up at the sky. A smile crept onto her lips. It was no longer raining and there were no clouds to be seen, as the stars above her were clearly visible. A warm feeling passed through them. The whole city finally had nice weather and it was all up to him.
"Thank you again, for today I mean." She started while casting a grateful look at him. "I really needed that." Felíx couldn't help but smile softly at her words. He would do anything for her and that he had comforted her had been a matter of course for him. "You're welcome."
An unpleasant silence spread when neither of them knew what else to say. Finally, Pepa broke the silence. She didn't want to leave him and spend more time with him, but it was getting late and she could hardly keep her eyes open. "Well then, I think I will..."
"Pepa!" A voice screamed her name and pulled her into a tight embrace before Pepa could even react. "We were so worried about you. You actually know what time it is." Scolded Julieta, but she couldn't be angry with her for long and closed her into another hug. Needless to say, Julieta was really worried. Pepa's temperament had become unpredictable for several weeks, and it's been at least three hours since her mother called where she promised to come home.
"I'm Felíx." Felíx stretched out his hand to Julieta and then waved to Bruno, who had remained in the background to watch the whole thing. He immediately withdrew back into the shadows when Felíx waved at him. "Julieta and this is Bruno." Julieta pointed backwards to her brother, who had meanwhile withdrawn so much that he was hardly recognized. Felíx already knew who they were, but nodded politely so as not to make a bad first impression. He turned his attention back to Pepa, who stared at him with a slight smile. "I think I'll go home too," he began and said goodbye to Julieta and Bruno, at least he tried it with Bruno, but from him came only a short "See you then". He smiled anyway and turned his attention to Pepa one last time before finally making his way home.
Pepa watched as he withdrew further and further until he could no longer be seen. Even when he was no longer visible, Pepa continued to stare in the direction in which he had disappeared. Pepa sighed. The last few hours had been a roller coaster ride of sadness, surprise and something else that she could not assign exactly.
She was so lost in thought that she didn't even hear Julieta asking her something. She felt a gentle hand on her right shoulder, which immediately tore her out of her thoughts. Expectantly, she turned her head to her sister Julieta, whom she looked at with a worried look. Bruno slowly came out of his hiding place and joined his two sisters, who stared at each other in silence. Julieta with one worried and Pepa with one that he could not quite interpret.
"Come with us!" Julieta grabbed her sister and pulled her into the house. Pepa tried to protest, but she quickly realized that there was no point in contradicting her. Bruno quickly followed the two into the kitchen, where Julieta made something warm for them to drink. She handed each of them a cup and let herself fall next to them on the sofa.
"So, what's going on Pepa? For several weeks now, you are not doing so well. Bruno and I are starting to get really worried." Pepa sighed. She knew it had to come at some point. She had mentally adjusted to it, but now it caught her unprepared. "He... I broke up with Trevor. He has... betrayed me." Julieta froze and closed Pepa into such a tight embrace that she couldn't breathe.
"Finally, I didn't want to say anything, but I never suffered Trevor." Bruno interfered in the conversation and then took a sip of his drink. Julieta gave him a sinister look, but Bruno did not notice Julieta's gaze or Pepa's face changed. Pepa loved her brother, but sometimes he says things that you just wouldn't say in such situations. "Why didn't you tell me that before?"
Bruno winced at her tone. Oh no! He hoped he hadn't made her angry with his remark. He didn't want to upset her. When he thought about it, his remark had sounded more rude than he had intended. He sighed. That's why Julieta mostly took care of Pepa. He almost always made it worse than it already was. He took a deep breath to answer her question. "I was afraid you would judge me for it because you thought it was a terrible vision of mine."
Pepa's face changed instantly in his confession. "Oh Brunito, I could never blame you for something like this, and if you had said it earlier, I might never have met Felíx." She pulled him into a tight embrace, which he initially did not return due to his surprise. He glanced at Julieta, but she just smiled encouragingly. Somewhat awkwardly, he also wrapped his arms around Pepa and squeezed her. Slowly she released the hug again and let herself fall back on the sofa with her cup.
Pepa needed something like that more often. No work, no relationship problems and no school stress. Just her, her sister and her brother. Satisfied, she took a sip of her drink. It calmed her down. So much so that she could barely keep her eyes open and a tired yawn escaped her. She was probably supposed to go to sleep, but if she was honest with herself, it was clear that she didn't want to do that. There were far too few such moments in her life and she didn't want that moment to ever end.
But at some point everything had to end. She tried to stay awake and when she barely made it, she decided to go to her room. Tired, she let herself fall into her bed. So much had happened today. Her feelings had been a rollercoaster ride and she had yet to come to terms with today's events. A dreamy smile crept onto her facial features when she thought of Felíx.
She had never met a boy as friendly and funny as he was. She couldn't even describe the feelings that came over her when she thought of him. She had never felt this way. Sure, she was with Trevor and had a similar feeling, but it had never been so strong. It was wonderful and confused them in equal measure. She thought about her feelings for him for a while and eventually sleep overwhelmed her.
