I leaned down and kissed her ever so gently. My heart was beating faster than ever before, I knew this couldn't be healthy. Honestly it felt like I was about to have a heart attack. She... she loved me too. I've been wanting to tell her for awhile now, I just couldn't find the right time. But she... she brought back Hambo. Man, I do love her. Shes perfect. I swear, Bonnibel Is turning me into a sap.
"Good. But I love you more, Bonnie."
"Oh heck no. I never took you for the whole arguing who loves each other more type of girl." She giggled, wrapping her arms around my waist to give me a small squeeze.
"Maybe you made me into that kind of girl. I do love you though."
"Shh, Marcy. And as do I." She giggled. Gah, shes so cute. I'm sure at this point we both were blushing like mad. Honestly, today was the best birthday I've had since, well, ever.
Bang bang bang
"God damn, what do they want." Bonnibel pulled away and glared up at me with a disapproving look. "What?"
"You need to find nicer words, Marcy."
"Nah, I like my vocabulary choice." I kissed her forehead then turned around to head downstairs. A few more knocks were heard before I arrived at the wooden door placed in the front of my living room. I reached for the cold doorknob and turned it, opening the door. I could have only hoped it was anyone but the person actually standing behind it.
"Marcie-kins!" The man brightened up, holding out his hands for a hug.
"No." I slammed the door in his face without giving myself a second to even think about it. I spun around and pressed my back to the door, running my hand through my bangs.
"Who was that?" Bonnibel crossed her arms and looked at me, confused.
"You don't want to know."
"Oh come on, Marceline! Open the door for your old pa, would ya?" The man behind the door said, rather loudly might I add.
"Pa? Marceline, is that...?"
"Go away, Hunson." I replied to the man, ignoring my girlfriend.
"I just wanted to wish my favorite daughter a happy birthday!"
"I'm your only daughter. And if I can remember, you didn't seem to care much for me growing up, so why the hell would you now? Now, do what you're used to doing and just go away." I locked the door behind me, then stomping upstairs to my room. I don't want anything to do with him right now, I haven't heard from him in 3 damn years, let alone see him since I was ten. How dare he just show up out of no where? He had no right.

Bonnibels POV
What the heck is going on? Theres no way that could be Marcelines father. She told me he never visits?
"I'm your only daughter. And if I can remember, you didn't seem to care much for me growing up, so why the hell would you now? Now, do what you're used to doing and just go away." Marceline sounded really mad. With a click of a locked door, she ran upstairs without even looking back at me. I heard a thud on the door that sounded like this Hunson guy was hitting his head against the wood. Obviously Marceline doesn't want to see him, but I cant just let him sit out there for who knows how long. So, I did what any logical person would do and let him inside. That's logical, right?
I unlocked the door and opened it, almost making the man loose his balance from leaning against it. The man was tall and thin. He had a square jaw and was clean shaven. He had jet black hair, just like Marceline, and it was slicked back with a lot of hair gel. He was wearing what looked like a very expensive black suit and red tie. He towered over me, glaring down with a stern look. Honestly, I was a bit intimidated. The man straightened himself out and leaned his head to the side to crack it.
"And you would be?" His voice was deep. I felt my hands start to shake and my legs felt like they were getting weaker, almost as if they were jello.
"I'm uh... i'm Bonnibel, Marcelines uh..." dang it, Bonnibel. Get yourself together. He isn't going to hurt me, I hope. Yeah, i'm sure he wont.
"Ah! It's wonderful to meet one of Marcelines friends! I didn't think she had any, this is good!" The man opened his arms wide and pulled me into a very tight hug. I felt my spine crack in its place, and I probably would have suffocated if he hadn't let go sooner.
"Um, yeah... friend." I felt my heart drop at the word friend when associated with Marceline. Hunson walked passed me, inviting himself inside.
"Where has my daughter run off too? I have things to discuss with her." Hunson said in a serious tone. Almost too serious and honestly I found it somewhat intimidating.
"She uh... I'm not sure, allow me to go find her." I quickly walked passed the man in the living room and ran upstairs to find Marceline. I heard him yelling back to me about something being urgent.
I arrived to Marcelines bedroom door and knocked on it gently.
"Marceline, are you in there..?" I asked in a soft tone, trying not to anger her. I didn't hear a response so I slowly opened to door. As I walked inside I noticed Marceline sitting on her bed, with her knees up to her face and her head resting in her hands. I made my way over to her, taking a seat in front of my girlfriend. "Marcy..." She lifted her head to look at me. I first noted her eyes and how red they were, as if she was on the verge of crying, or had been already.
"I'm sorry, I kinda hoped you'd never have to see me like this..." She sighed, rubbing her left eye with her thumb.
"What, and realize my bad ass punk of a girlfriend Is just one big softie?"
"Shut up." She laughed. "And yes, exactly. I have a reputation to keep. Cant have my girlfriend thinking i'm a softie."
"I think its adorable." I leaned in and kissed her forehead right between her eyes. "But hey... I talked to your dad and-"
"Wait. What? Why would you talk to him? I thought I told him to go away." She spat, grunting as she laid back in her bed.
"After you came up here I opened to door to apologize, then he just kinda invited himself in and mentioned that he was urgent things to tell you. He seemed.. pretty serious. Just go talk to him, please?"
"Urgent? He never has anything urgent to tell me, he usually just sends me a letter... It must be pretty important." I noticed the color in her skin flush away so she looked even paler than she already was. She got up from the bed and looked at me with those big sad eyes of hers. "I should probably go talk to him, as much as I don't want to."
"Should I stay up here?" I asked. I didn't want to intrude on a family moment.
"No. Bonnibel, I think its time I introduce you to my parents. Well, parent." She smiled, taking my hand in hers and walking to the stairs. I suddenly because very nervous, what if her dad didn't accept me, or this, our relationship together?
We came downstairs to Hunson sitting on the red couch located in the living room. He quickly stood up when he noticed us make an entrance and held his hands behind his back like a typical business man.
"Marci-kins I-"
"Don't call me that, father. What is it that you needed to tell me, I don't have time for this reunion crap." Marceline spat at her father.
"I understand. Although I would prefer to discuss the matter alone." Hunsons eyes trailed over to me and stared me down. I felt as if just by staring at me he was sucking my soul right out of me.
"No." Marceline replied.
"No? Marceline-"
"No, father. Bonnibel is my girlfriend, so whatever you have to say, you say it to the both of us."
"Girlfriend?" Hunson question. He then noticed our hands linked together and relaxed his body a little bit. "I see. I'm pleased to hear you are no longer with that Ash boy, I never liked him."
"Maybe you would know these things if you didn't forget I existed for three years. Last time I remember even hearing from you was a month before him and I broke up."
"Bonnibel, since you are dating my daughter I must ask you this. Do you ever plan to leave her or hurt her in any way at all?" Hunson turned to me, completely ignoring his daughter.
"No sir, I wouldn't dream of it." Oh glob, I never thought i'd be the one being questioned by an over protective dad. I felt my hands get clammy and my body start to shake. Why did he have to sound so intimidating? Before I could even think he wrapped his arms around me into another tight hug, giving me one squeeze before letting go.
"Welcome to the family then!" He smlied, losing his business-like attitude. I was to stunned to even move at this point, not realizing what was going on anymore.
"Um, thank you Mr. Abadeer."
"Oh please, just call me dad!"
"Father!" Marceline groaned. "That is way to soon for that, please!"
"Fine fine, Hunson is just good for now." He smiled again. "Anyways, to a more serious matter. I'm sure Bonnibel already knows about Simon, just to make sure so this will be less confusing for her."
"Yeah, she knows, why? Whats wrong with Simon?"
"You might want to sit down. Come on, lets take a seat." We all moved over to Marcelines couch and sat down. I could tell Marceline was getting really nervous really fast. I already knew that Simon meant a lot to her and had been there for her since she was little when her dad wasn't.
"Dad, whats wrong with Simon?" Marceline choked out.
"I got a call last night from the jail. He-he's dying."

Ah shiz, i'm a terrible person. I know I know.
Okay so, as most of you know I am in the middle of writing another Bubbline AU, which is going fantastic by the way, but i said updates for this story would be delayed. I had no intentions for it to be this long, but a lot of things got in the way. First, school started, and being a senior in highschool just means a butt load of work and no time to do other things. Like writing fanfiction. Theeeeeeen my stupid computer decided to quit on me, so if i wanted to write i had to use my moms. So I rarely get time to. Anyways, I dont know when the next update will be, i cant promise it will be soon but i'll try!
