So wow, it's been awhile, huh? I do apologize. I've been super busy with school and stuff, and I have a few other reasons. Like not having motivation. I honestly didn't know where I was going with this story anymore, but a few nights ago it finally hit me. Kinda. I mean for the most part. It's definitely going somewhere I know that.
Anyways, i'm really sorry for such a long wait. here it finally is! Chapter thirteen.

"I got a call last night from the jail. He-he's dying."
I felt my heart cave into my chest. The world started dissolving around me as I heard the words ring through my ears. Dying.
"He... He's dying?" I choked, holding back my tears. "Dad, he can't be!"
"I'm sorry, sweetheart. There is nothing we can do. You may visit him, but all we can do is wait." I managed to lift myself from my position on the couch, my legs feeling like jello.
"Bullshit! I will do everything I can do! Even if it's not much. Simon is like a father to me, I won't let him die!" I cried out, grabbing my girlfriend by the hand and dragging her to the door.
"Marceline, please calm down. Where do you plan on going? Visiting hours aren't until-"
"I'm driving Bonnibel home then going to the Hospital. I don't care if I have to wait a few hours to see him. I need to." I interrupted my father, swinging open the front door of my house.
"Marceline." Bonnibel turned into a brick wall, still in her tracks. I turned around to face her, almost angry she wouldn't move. "Marceline, you shouldn't have to do this alone."
"I am not staying here. I need to see him. You don't understand." I choked, trying to hold back my tears.
"Then let me come with you then." My girlfriend spoke in a very soft, sincere voice. Her blue eyes were looking up to me, I could tell she was worried about me. She always worries about me, even when nothing is wrong.
"A-Are you sure? We might be there for awhile and I wouldn't want to make you wait in a hosp-"
"Marceline, I'm coming with you… Besides. It's about time I met him, he's very important to you, is he not?" She crossed her arms, making an almost "I'm pissed off you'd even ask me that" kind of face.
"Yes, he is, of course he is." Bonnibel nodded, uncrossing her arms and walking passed me, exiting my home.
"Then I'm coming. I would not dare to leave my girlfriend all alone in a hospital, especially not on her birthday." I couldn't help but feel the corners of my mouth curl upwards, despite the situation at hand. I was so lucky to have a girl like her in my life. I soon followed the pretty pink girl, closing the door behind me, completely forgetting my dad who was still sitting in my living room.
~ POV Change ~
Marceline has always hated hospitals. She never knew why, but she always has. Maybe it was the smell? Or just maybe the atmosphere of hurt and dying people that has always made her feel uncomfortable. When she took her first few steps into the building, her heart started racing. She hasn't seen Simon in a few years, how would she react to seeing him again? Marceline approached the front desk where a short, portly woman sat, staring at a computer screen.
"Um, excuse me, I'm here to see Simon Petrikov. I'm-"
"Are you family?" The nurse interrupted, clicking away at her keyboard.
"Yes." Marceline nodded.
"Your name, ma'am?"
"Marceline Abadeer." The nurse looked up at the tall raven head.
"Daughter of Hunson Abadeer?" she quizzed. Marceline just nodded in response. "Down the hall and to the right. Room 204B." The nurse turned her attention back to the computer, continuing to type away.
Marceline grabbed the handed of the shorter pink girl next to her and started down the hallway. When the girlfriends reached the room with a plaque that said 204B and Simons name printed on a strip of paper that had been attached, the rocker froze in her place, turning to face Bonnibel.
"Theres something I should... warn you about. Simon, he isn't really, right in the head. So just... be careful with him, and if he's well enough to speak or walk just, try and ignore him." Marceline sighed, grabbing the door knob. A warm, pink hand was placed over her own pale one as she was met with bright, blue eyes.
"Marceline, no matter what happens I'm here for you. I love you." The corner of Marcelines mouth titled upwards as she turned the door knob and pushed it in, taking her first few steps inside the dim hospital room.
"Betty? Betty is that you dear?" a deep, raspy voice came from the bed in the far corner of the room.
"No Simon, it's me, Marcy. Do you remember me Simon?" Marceline bit her lip, grabbing a hold of her girlfriends hand. The old man sat up in his bed, his grey eyes glaring at the two girls who entered the room. He had a long white beard and hair that should be trimmed up.
"Marcy you brought Betty!" The old man tried to get up from his bed, but his hand was handcuffed to the bed pole. Marceline gently pushed her girlfriend behind her, afraid he could approach them.
"No, Simon. This isn't Betty. This is Bonnibel Simon, she means a lot to me. Do you understand? That means you can't touch or hurt her, okay Simon?" At this point, Marcelines heart was pumping so loud she could hear it ring through her ears, and she was positive Bonnibel could hear it herself.
"yeah yeah yeah, don't touch the pretty princess, got it." The old man waved it off, lying back down in his bed before Marceline could turn to face Bonnibel.
"He's a bit delusional, you can wait outside if you want, I really don't want to make you uncomfortable." the taller woman whispered.
"Marceline, hush. I'll be fine." Bonnibel stood up on her toes and kissed her girlfriends cheek.
The hospital door squeaked open as a doctor entered, taking a few steps in and past the two girls.
"You must me Marceline. I was told Simon had a visitor. I'm Simons assigned Doctor, Dr. Eis. It's a pleasure. Now, I'm sure you are here to find out exactly what's wrong with your uncle?" Marceline studied the doctor up and down. She was tall, even taller than Marceline. Her hair was cut short and swirled up in the front and she had bright, pale blue eyes. She was young, probably the youngest doctor she has ever seen.
"I came here to see him, but knowing what is wrong... would be nice." Dr. Eis looked back at Simon laying in his bed, then looked at the clipboard that was in her possession. With a gentle sigh, she looked back up at the two girls.
"I wish I could tell you, but we... aren't really sure what is wrong with him. It's something we have never seen before. He was originally checked in here a few days ago from a heart attack and I was able to convince the jail to let him be, without any creepy guards keeping an eye on him all the time. But anyways, we did some checks and realized, his body temperature, it is low. He should be dead, but he's not. Some of us think its an extreme case of hypothermia, but the symptoms aren't the same. I wish I could tell you what exactly it is, but I'm afraid I can't."
"That... didn't help at all." Marceline sighed, taking her girlfriends hand in hers once again. "Do you know if he will... live or not?" As soon as the words spilled from her mouth, Marceline knew she regretted even asking.
"I'm afraid not. We don't even know how long he would have. Like I said before, this is new." Marcelines eyes fell to the floor, holding back the tears that want to escape.
"Yeah... sorry for asking. Bonnibel, let's go." Without another word Marceline left with a confused Bonnibel trailing behind her. In the lobby, Bonnibel could finally catch up to her girlfriend, grabbing her hand so she would stop. She quickly pulled the taller girl closer to her, hugging her tightly. Her hand rubbed Marcelines back, nudging her face into the pale girls neck. Marceline finally let loose, allowing the tears pour from her eyes.
"He's gonna die, Bonnibel. He-he.."
"Hey, hey. Shhh... Whatever happens to him, I will stick by your side, Marceline. I will be here to comfort you or celebrate with you. Whatever happens, I will be here." Marceline wrapped her arms tightly around the shorter girl, holding onto her tightly. A few minutes pass before Marceline is able to calm down and stop sobbing. She lets go of Bonnibel, rubbing her eyes with her sleeve.
"I'm sorry i'm such a mess, Bon."
"You are a beautiful mess, dork. Now come on, lets go home and watch some movies and stuff our face with candy." Bonnibel gave Marceline another one of her cute, reassuring smiles.
"Yeah, I'd like that. I get the red ones though."
"Oh, of course. You wouldn't be Marceline if you didn't steal all the red gummy bears out of the bag." Bonnibel giggled, taking her girlfreinds hand in hers, intertwining their fingers together.
"Oh, how cute." An annoying, unwanted voice gibed. "The two lesbians are having a moment. It'd be a shame if someone interrupted." Marceline looked up to see who it was, and Bonnibel swore she could see fire flash in those hazel eyes of hers.
"Out of all the times too see your stupid face, it had to be now?" Marceline growled as she gritted her teeth together.
"Oh, sweetheart. These are the best moments to be seen. When you're at your weakest. I see you have your little play toy with you. I'm surprised she hasn't left you yet. How cute."
"Go away, Ash." Marceline hissed, clenching her fists and holding back every bit of herself from decking Ash in the face.
"I was on my way out before I had the delightful sight of you two getting it on out in public. Being gay is a sin, you know, Mar Mar."
"Your face is a sin, ass wipe, but you don't see me protesting it." Marceline cursed, listening to Bonnibel giggle at her insult.
"Whatever." Ash walked passed the two girls, pausing at the door to turn his head to look at them. "I'll be seeing you, Mar Mar."
"That fucker needs to-"
"Marceline."
"What?"
"Your language. As much as a butt he is, you need a nicer vocabulary." Bonnibel giggled, kissing her girlfriends cheek."
"Ugh. Whatever, can we go watch those movies now? I need Bonnie time." Marceline blushed, walking out to her Motorcycle, pulling the pink girl behind her.
If some of you want, I recently wrote a bubbline oneshot, and you should check it out. It's called "Thank you, neighbor."
It's kinda short, buuuuut, what can you do.
OH AND SORRY IF THERE ARE ANY ERRORS. I rushed to get this chapter out and only proof read it once before posting it.
