Nick glanced up at the sky, grimacing at the gray clouds moving fast across the horizon, the storm was scheduled to arrive later that night. He didn't know why, but he always had weird dreams on nights with thunderstorms, dreams about being abandoned in a forest, a forest suspiciously like the Enchanted one he now defends. He shook his head, as he approached the Rock Porium, a delivery truck parked out front. Great, that meant that meant that sales would be booming.

He opened the door to the shop to discover that there were boxes already inside.

"Uhuh," Chip suddenly shouted, jumping out from behind the boxes, a paper bag that looked like it came from a nearby fast food restaurant perched comically on his head as he waved a plunger around in the air, "You have stepped into my moat and will likely be devoured by Crocodiles at any minute now."

Nick rolled his eyes, he was the youngest on the team by a whole year, yet Chip was the most childish, "Are they Freshwater, or Saltwater?"

"What?" Chip asked.

"Are they fresh water or Salt water Crocs?"

"Freshwater?" Chip suggested.

"Well, in that case, I'll be fine, Freshwater Crocs aren't nearly as dangerous as Saltwater, no need to send out a distress call, I'll just swim through," Nick announced, patting Chip on the shoulder as he walked pass.

"Hey Nick," Maddy called out, waving to him from where she and V were at the DJ table, V was dancing around with a pair of headphones on, "You have got to listen to this CD, It 'Bumps' apparently."

"Sure why not," Nick said, shrugging as he headed that way, pausing to pick up an envelope that Xander had dropped, $1,000 written across the front, "Hey, Xander you dropped the bank deposit," he announced, "Man I could use that type of money, I need a part for my bike," Nick confessed, handing him the money.

"I think we all have something we can use a thousand dollars for," Xander pointed out as he took the envelope.

Nick shook his head, before finally making it over to the girls and accepting the headphones from V. He bobbed his head to the music, it had a good beat, good rhythm, it was different from what his Aunt Tanya and his older sister did, but it was something that might get played at a school dance, or something.

"You aren't wanted here," a low voice hissed into his ears. Nick ripped off the headphones, glaring at V.

"If this is some sort of prank, it isn't funny," Nick growled, turning around before storming outside to finish unloading the deliveries.

Nick straightened up after putting a box on top of the pile on the hand dolly. He glanced into the truck, about two more loads, he figured before glancing up at the sky, which had turned ominously gray while he had been working, it could start raining at any second, he thought as a lightning bolt flashed across the sky.

Suddenly his head exploded as sharp quills were shoved into his brain, he stumbled backwards, grabbing the van to keep himself up right.

"You aren't wanted here," the voice from the CD called out, "You aren't wanted anywhere. You own parents didn't want you."

Nick groaned, holding his head with one hand while he looked around with the other, no one was anywhere around him. He lifted his head up, the pain suddenly gone as fast as it had appeared. No one was around him, but that meant…

He whipped out his phone and pressed a number, after ringing for a couple of times it went to voicemail, "Hey you reached Star, I'm off saving the world, so please feel free to leave a message."

Nick glanced around, to make sure that he was still alone "Hey Aunt Star, I think I might be being attacked Telepathically, I keep hearing someone, and I'm experiencing random headaches as well, if you get a chance call me back. Or find me in Briarwood, I have a job at the Rock Porium."

"Who you talking to?" a new voice asked, causing Nick to jump as Leelee, the girl who had insisted that he help her his first day in Briarwood, stepped out from behind the van.

"How much of that did you hear?" he demanded as the first crash of thunder could be heard, the storm was still a ways away then.

"Something about Headaches?"

Nick sighed, at least she hadn't heard the first part, "Yeah, just my Aunt, I'm having her bring me something for my headache," he quickly lied, "She lives close by."

"You know what, you're just working too hard," Leelee insisted, "What you need is to take a break. I know you can take me on a ride on your bike! My new leather jacket would look great on the back of your bike."

Nick sighed, he had picked up on Leelee's obvious crush on him the first time they talked but this was another thing, "I can't," he admitted, "Toby wants me to finish unloading the deliveries before it starts raining, besides my bike needs a part, I'm waiting for my Dad to wire the money to me to fix… it?" the last word came out as a question as he noticed that Leelee had already left.

Leelee entered the store with a huff, so Nick was too busy working to take her out, well then she would just have to help him lose his job. Xander was working the cash register, a large box labeled Bank Deposit next to him. This was going to be way too easy, the money was just sitting there, just begging to be stolen.

Xander finished helping the customer, and turned to Leelee, "What can I help you with?" he asked.

"She was kind of cute, wasn't she?" Leelee asked, "At least tell me you got her number?" The plan worked, Xander quickly raced outside to catch up with the girl that had just left.

Leelee glanced around to make sure no one was paying attention before pulling the money out of the box and hiding it behind the counter, that should do it.

"Didn't get her number," Xander exclaimed, "She had a boyfriend, anyway what can I help you with?"

"I was wondering if you heard about the thief of a music store over in Reefside," she had heard somewhere that Nick was from Reefside, "someone stole their bank deposit, they said it was an inside job, isn't that were Nick said he was from?"

"Reefside's a big city," Xander pointed out, before he double checked the box of money only to discover that it was missing.

"Well, I hope you find your thief in the Nick of time," Leelee insisted stepping outside to watch the drama unfold.

Xander pressed his hand to his forehead, they had looked everywhere and they still couldn't find the missing money.

"It really is starting to look like someone took the money," Maddy announced, folding her arms.

"That someone being Nick," Xander suggested, "Come on guys, none of us know him that well, besides, we know that he is a run away. Who knows what type of trouble he caused in Reefside before he came here?"

"I don't know, he was pretty friendly to TJ Johnson," Chip pointed out.

"Yeah, but TJ's one of us, and a friend of his parents," V added.

"Still doesn't change the fact that he's a police officer now," Maddy insisted, "Face it if he was a trouble maker, TJ Johnson wouldn't have allowed him to stay on as the red ranger."

"Could he have stopped him?" Xander asked.

Maddy nodded, "I've talked to Nick a bit, and it is possible to transfer powers, it just is kind of difficult so it doesn't happen very often."

"Talking about him isn't going to help us find the money," V insisted, "Now where did Nick go anyway?"

"He clocked out about a half hour ago," Chip announced.

Nick almost had his bike up and going again when he looked up to see his friends standing over him. They don't trust you. Nick shook his head, trying to block out the voice, wishing that his Aunt Star would call him back.

"What's up," he said out loud, not wanting them to know what is going on. The other four looked at each other, shifting uncomfortably.

"A thousand dollars are missing from the store," Maddy announced, watching Nick for a reaction.

"I get it," Nick said putting down his tool, "I'm the new kid, a run away foster kid, money missing so it has to be me, right?"

"That's pretty much what we're thinking, yes," Chip confessed.

"I thought you guys were my friends," Nick muttered, "Teammates share a special bond, look at Kira and her teammates they couldn't stand each other and now she's dating Conner," he up at his friends, "Look, there's a code of conduct that power rangers much obey, stealing goes against that code, so," He pulled himself, up, swinging onto his bike, "It wasn't me."

"Then were did you get the money to fix your bike," Xander asked, you didn't have it earlier."

"Borrowed from my dad," Nick insisted.

"Really?"

Nick snorted, Xander really didn't believe him, fine, You don't need these guys, you don't belong here, you don't belong anywhere, your parents didn't even want you. Nick grabbed his head, shaking it to try to dislodge whoever was attacking him, before putting on his helmet, turning the engine over and driving off.

Stupid teammates, why would they think he stole the money, he never touched it, Xander probably misplaced it is all. Suddenly there was another blinding headache, this time accompanied by images of a young baby, wrapped in a red blanket, screaming out into the night, alone, in the middle of the forest.

Your parents didn't want you, why should your so call friends want you. How can you expect to lead them, how are they suppose to trust you when you don't even know where you come from?

The blinding headache finally lifted, along with the images of the crying baby, for Nick to discover that he was laying spread eagle on the edge of the road, his bike laying a little way farther away. Thank the morphin' grid for power protection, if he wasn't a power ranger right now that would have really hurt him.

A noise filtered through his mind, his phone was ringing, finally, he tugged off his helmet and answered it with a quick, "Aunt Star?"

"The one and only," Star announced, "I got your message."

"And?"

"Are you wearing Keeper Protection?"

Nick glanced down to the chain that was tucked into his shirt, the ring with the Keeper family crest that was infused with a protection spell, hanging from it, "Yeah, I hardly take it off."

"This is bad then, really bad," Star announced, "Either your Keeper Protection isn't working or..."

"Or What?"

"Or whoever is attacking you is a Keeper themselves. This is serious, head to Rootcore. I'll try to get a hold of your parents. I don't like the fact that a Keeper is targeting you."

Nick gripped his head as another headache squeezed it tightly, biting his lips to prevent himself from screaming out loud, if you want to find out who I am meet me at the beach in five minutes.

"I wouldn't listen to him," Star announced, no doubt eavesdropping on the conversation, "Just head to Rootcore, I'll be there soon."

Maddy let out a sigh, as they walked back into the store, they had no choice but to tell Toby about Nick and the stolen money.

"You look like you're about to tell me something that I won't like," Toby announced as they all stood in front of me, "Like how you lost the Bank Deposit," he added, holding up an envelope, "I found this behind the counter. Why didn't you tell me you lost it?"

"We thought Nick took it," Xander explained turning to look at Leelee, why would she had hinted that he was the thief in the first place.

"Don't look at me," she insisted, "I wasn't the one who accused my friend."

"Nick," Toby explained, "That's kid's as trust worthy as they come. Sure he's a little secretive about his family, but that's because he's parents are actually really rich and he doesn't like it when people befriend him just for the money."

Xander groaned, "So he really did borrow money from his father."

"We better go find him and apologize," Maddy insisted, turning to Toby, "If that's okay with you, that is."

"Go, go," Toby insisted, "I can manage here."

Maddy wasn't sure what she was expecting when they entered Rootcore, certain that they could use the crystal ball to see where he had run off to, but Nick Screaming in pain, with his hands clapped over his head wasn't it.

A woman in a purple tunic shook her head as she shook brown hair out of her eyes, "This isn't good, the attacks are getting stronger, if we don't stop them soon, he..."

"I know, Storykeeper," Udonna said softly, placing a hand on the younger woman's shoulder, "Trust me I know."

"I've contacted his parents," Storykeeper insisted, "They'll be here as soon as they can get a babysitter, unfortunately, with Nick here and his older sisters moved out, they don't have live in babysitters.

Maddy stepped forward, "Is Nick okay?"

The two women looked up, surprise to see the other rangers, "No," the stranger stated, "He's not, someone is attacking him Telepathically, and we need to stop it."
