Rootcore shook as thunder crashed over head, "Well this weather isn't helping," a purple clad woman announced shaking her head as she glanced at Nick, who was still thrashing around.
"Exactly who are you?" Maddy asked, stepping forward.
"StoryKeeper, or Star, which ever you want," the woman said, checking on Nick, shaking her head, "Keeper Protection is working and there isn't a flare up of the Keeper's curse, so that means..."
"Whoever is attacking Nick is a Keeper," Claire shouted, before glancing at Udonna, "Right?"
"Yes Dear, that's right," Udonna said as a loud cry sounded overhead. The teens all glanced up as there was a bright flash of color as a white falcon and a pink crane appeared out of thin air and landed next to Nick.
"Oh," Star exclaimed, rushing over to the birds, "Good you made it."
There was a flash of light that was too bright for any of them to see the color and there where the birds had been stood a man and woman.
"Hey," Xander said, stepping forward, "I'm Xander, you must be Nick's sister."
The caramel hair girl glanced at him, before rolling her eyes, "Green Rangers."
"What's wrong with green rangers?" the man next to her asked, "I was a green ranger."
"They have a tendency to flirt with me," the woman explained, "But don't worry I only flirt back with one."
"I get it," Star snapped, "My brother was a green ranger, the two of you are madly in love. You're the Power Couple for crying out loud, I don't think Nick's teammates need to watch you flirt," She turned to Xander, "Did you honestly had to try to flirt with Kimberly? In front of my brother? Wow I guess they were right about how green and black's are."
Udonna chuckled at the exasperated sound of Star's voice, "You must be Nick's parents."
"Yes I'm Tommy," the man said, running a hand through his short brown hair, "And this is my wife Kimberly, sorry it took us so long to get here, but we can't live the kids with just any babysitter."
"Yes, I know how that goes," Star insisted with a chuckle.
"Well, what's wrong with my son," Kimberly asked, crossing her arms in front of her, "Please tell me you know."
"He appears to be under some form of telepathic attack," Udonna announced.
"And he's wearing Keeper Protection, which isn't malfunctioning and there isn't a flare up of the Keeper's curse, at least, no one else seems to be experiencing bad luck around here," Star said, "That means that whoever is attacking him is one of us."
"Wait," Chip called out, "someone in this room is attacking Nick?"
"No Chip." Udonna insisted, "But someone in the Keeper family, a blood relative of Nick's."
"What do you mean a Blood relative of Nick's?" Tommy asked, "He's adopted, he gets his Keeper heritage from me. He isn't blood related to any Keeper."
"As far as we know," Kim pointed out, "Out of all of our children Nick is our most mysterious, he was found abandoned as an infant outside of the woods… here in Briarwoods," she paused, looking at her son, "He could be from one of the other Keeper houses, I have no idea."
"Yeah, well, we don't need to know how the guy is related to Nick, all we need to know is who the guy is, and Nick told me that he wanted to meet him at the beach, so whoever is on the beach right now is probably the culprit."
Udonna moved toward the crystal ball, activating it, sure enough there was Koragg on the beach calling out to Nick, taunting him and calling him a coward.
"Wait, Koragg's related to Nick?" Chip asked, confused.
"Koragg's a Keeper?" Clare asked.
Udonna frowned, "There isn't much known about Koragg." she admitted, "The only thing I know for sure is that he tamed Catastros, something several people have failed to do before hand."
"So what do we do about Koragg, we can't let Nick face him," Maddy said, "He doesn't look like he can handle a fight at the moment."
"Do we go out to fight?" V asked.
"I think that is the best decision, considering the circumstances," Udonna announced, "I will help Storykeeper and Nick's parents adjust the magic on his protection spell to prevent this from happening again."
…
Nick was riding along the road when suddenly everything changed, he was in the forest and his bike was now a strong powerful horse. He looked down in surprise he didn't even know how to ride what was he even doing? There was nowhere to hang on to and Catastros reared up sending him flying through the air.
Nick sat up with a gasp and looked around he was at Rootcore and his parents were hovering over him, "What's going on?" he asked groggily.
"You were mentally attacked by Koragg," a voice behind him replied, "We had to send your teammates to teach him to keep his powers to himself."
"Great," Nick said, pulling himself up, "Aunt Star's still here."
"You're the one who called me," Star exclaimed, rolling her eyes, "Besides, you were attacked by a Keeper, that's my turf, so despite the fact that technically this is a power ranger affair, I'm involved, and since one of your enemies is now classified as my enemy, my team is now at your disposal," with that she opened a pink portal and disappeared.
"I better go, help my teammates," Nick said, "You sticking around? Or headed back to Angel Grove?"
"We left Cassidy in charge, by now she's probably lost Sky, Ruby, and Grace," Tommy announced.
"I'm surprised Ruby hasn't shown up here yet," Kim added, "You know how she is."
Nick nodded, "Well if I see any red headed girls roaming around here, I'll give you a call," he insisted, grabbing his broom.
…
Nick arrived at the beach just in time to see Koragg about to leave, he jumped up trying to catch him, only for Catastros to jump up out of the seal, land on top of him, and pull him down through another portal.
"Man," Chip exclaimed, "Nick is just not having a good day."
…
Nick landed on his back in the sand, groaning as he demorphed, this had to be the worst day ever, none of his other siblings had to deal with this much craziness in one day, "Keeper's curse, why do you hate me so much," he muttered, rolling onto his feet, "Where am I anyway?" he asked, looking around, "Who am I even talking to?" he demanded when he noticed that he was all alone.
He pulled out his morpher, trying to get in touch with his teammates but nothing happened. He took a deep breath, okay, so he had to be in an alternate dimension, he heard his father talk about them enough times to know what to expect. He couldn't contact his teammates, and he probably couldn't morph either.
There was a thudding noise, coming from his left, getting louder, what was going on, "This is Crazy," he finally admitted out loud, when he heard something big behind him, "Please let that be an over size pelican," he muttered before turning around to stare straight into Catastros's eyes.
…
Chip, V, Maddy, and Xander rushed into Rootcore to find Udonna alone, Nick's parents must have decided to head home once Nick woke up.
"Nick's gone," Chip announced.
"We tried to contact him on his morpher," V added, grabbing hold of Chip's arm, "but he didn't answer."
"We were battling Koragg, and then poof, Nick gets sucked into a seal," Xander explained, "with Catastros."
"Nick must have disrupted an evil spell," Udonna stated, "And warped the dark seal, since we don't know what dimension Nick's in, I can't transport you there."
"We have to do something," Chip insisted, leading the way to the crystal ball.
"Even the crystal ball can't find him," Maddy announced, as the crystal ball remained clear.
"This is bad, this is really bad," Vida announced.
