Nick glanced at his friends as they raced across the beach towards him.

"So, where did Leelee say the monsters where?" Vida asked.

"In a cave on the beach," Nick explained, "That one over there!"

"Is anyone else suspicious that there are no monsters in sight?" Maddy asked.

"They either got what they were looking for, or they had to regroup due to a possible barrier."

Everyone turned to Nick, who shrugged, "Masked Knights and Power Rangers have used force field barriers all the time. Only those with pure intentions can get through them."

"So what are we standing around for," Xander asked, "Let's find out what they were after."

"We need to be careful," Nick insisted, "Depending on the type of spell used, we might break it just by walking through it…"

"Which would give whoever is after whatever is in there a chance to get it," Maddy offered.

"But if we get it first we could have the upper hand," Chip pointed out.

"True," Vida agreed, "I vote that we go into the cave and find out what they were looking for?"

The others nodded their heads, rushing into the cave, and stumbled, as they got deeper into the cave.

"Everybody stop," Nick called out as it became too dark for them to see where they were going, "I can't see anything."

"Will this help?" Chip asked, holding up his magic staff like a torch.

"Chip you are a…" Maddy began before she let out a scream, flinging her arms around wildly, "Frog, get it off me, get it off me."

Vida snickered as Maddy flung around, dislodging the frog on her sleeve, before tripping over a rock and sending them all crashing into another chamber.

"I can't believe that you're afraid of a little frog," Xander crowed.

"I'm not afraid, I'm petrified," Maddy confessed, "Ugly slimy frog."

Vida, Chip, and Xander laughed at her comment.

"It's not funny," Maddy insisted.

"Hey," Nick called out, "Everyone is afraid of something," he insisted, he was probably going to get grounded for saying this, but, it was for a good cause, "At least it isn't super specific like my Dad. Greatest Power Ranger ever, Fearless, until you light a candle."

"Wait, what?" Vida asked, "The Greatest Power Ranger ever, afraid of a candle."

"Okay, so, he can handle it as long as it isn't green, a green candle," Nick laughed slightly, "My great grandmother's birthday party, when I was first adopted," he chuckled, "Dad kicked the cake onto the ceiling. Mom made him go to counseling after that."

Vida did a full on belly laugh, "That is epic," she announced, "But what's that ugly thing over there in the corner?"

"It looks like a mummy," Xander announced, as he and Chip leaned closer.

Nick pulled out his ring with the Keeper family crest on it from around his neck, "I don't know what it is, but my Keeper Protection doesn't like it."

Xander and Chip quickly backed away, going to stand behind Nick. Experience had taught them that if Nick's ring was burning something bad was about to happen.

"Hey," Vida called out, "What's that." V stepped away from the group, crouching down in the sand and pulling something out, "It's an old oil lamp," she announced, "With the Mystic Force symbol on it."

"Whoa," it looks like a genie lamp," Chip announced.

Nick looked at it, before gingerly picking it up, "It's safe, nothing bad about it."

Suddenly the ground beneath them shook hard, "Not another Earthquake," Maddy complained.

"The shield, the barrier that protected this cave, when we picked up the lamp, it broke, which must mean…" Nick jumps up into a fighting position as Necrolai stroll casually into the cave.

"Thank you, rangers," Necrolai announced, "For taking down the force field that kept me out of here. Now give me what I came for."

"No," Nick shouted, gripping the lamp tighter, "You can't have the lamp."

"I didn't come here for the lamp," Necrolai insisted, brushing past the rangers, who for some reason could not move a muscle as she picked up the old mummy that they had found. The mummy with the dark magic signature that Nick's ring had picked up.

"This is not good," Nick announced as Necrolai disappeared, "She wasn't even interested in this lamp, and there is no denying that there was something evil about that mummy. I think we better head back to Rootcore."

Maddy stared at the lamp, before glancing at Nick, "That is definitely the mystic force symbol," she agreed.

"Maybe there's more writing on it," Nick suggested, grabbing a rag to wipe off the sand.

The lamp jerked and wriggled on its own.

"Guys," Nick announced, "This might be a…"

"We found a Genie," Chip exclaimed as a puff of smoke erupted from the lamp, turning into a humanoid cat creature.

"I'm the genie Jenji, and I'm here to grant you one wish."

'Isn't a genie supposed to grant everyone three wishes," Chip asked.

"Most Genies do, I don't," Jenji announced, "Hurry up, I have other things that I need to do. Like sitting in a cave for another fifteen years."

"Are you blaming us?" Maddy asked, shaking her head, before glancing at Nick with confusion.

"Okay," Chip said jumping up, "I know what to wish for," he announced, "I wish that we all had ten wishes each."

"Granted," Jenji announced.

"Great," Xander exclaimed, "I wish for one hundred diamonds," he announced, holding out his hands.

"Geesh," Jenji said, glancing at them in annoyance, "You really should wash your hands."

"What about my diamonds," Xander asked.

"Well, you see, Chip already used your wish."

"But he wished for more wishes," Xander pointed out.

"But not that I'll grant them," Jenji pointed out, "That's the thing with wishes, you have to be really specific. It's in the genie contract."

They all groaned and turned to Nick, who shrugged, "Don't look at me, pretty sure this situation hasn't come up with any other power ranger team before, or if it has, it never got to be a problem big enough to involve my parents."

"Well that's reassuring," Vida announced, as Clare walked by with the dragon egg.

Jenji immediately got a look in his eyes that Nick normally saw in his Uncle Rocky's when someone walked by with a plate of food, "Oh, is that a Dragon's egg, because I'm hungry."

"Yes it is," Clare announced, smiling at the cat genie.

"Can someone say omelet?" Jenji asked.

"Does you-know-who knows that you brought home a stray cat?" Clare asked, glancing at her friends.

"Don't worry," NIck said, glancing at the genie, "I don't think we're going to keep him."

"It's about to hatch, someone needs to keep it warm, someone sit on it. It's uncomfortable but it's the only way."

Clare sighed, knowing perfectly well that she was the only one who was able to sit on the egg, as the others needed to be able to go at a moment's notice no matter what, "Oh boy," she sighed.

Clare shifted uncomfortably on the egg, "How long do I have to sit up here?" she asked.

"Until it hatches," Jenji announced, "Could be a few minutes, a couple of hours, weeks, anything up to thirty to forty years."

"What," Clare demanded as the rangers laughed.

However they're merriment ended suddenly at the chiming of the crystal ball, "Looks like we're needed," Nick announced, "Come on guys."

"Great, bye, I'll be gone before you get back I'm sure," Jenji insisted.

"Actually," Nick said, picking up the lamp, "You still owe us a wish, Chip's wish was invalid, therefore you didn't actually grant it, so you're coming with us," Nick pulled the lid off the lamp trapping the genie inside.

"Wait," Jenji called out, "I've lost my keys, I'll sit on the egg, I'll do anything, just don't take me out there."

In Town there was a dark thundercloud whirling around in circles above them.

"This is new," Nick announced as the mummy stepped out of the center of the storm.

"Allow me to introduce myself, I am Imperious, dark wizard of the underworld."

"Don't call yourself a wizard," Nick called out, "Wizards use their powers to help people."

"Your witch Udonna has misled you…"

"I am of the house of Keeper of the Story Keeper family, all I know I learned at the knee of my father!" Nick announced, stepping closer, "We of the Keeper household were given our powers to protect those who could not protect themselves."

"Ugg, you sound like Leanbow," Imperious groaned, "Magic is for fulfilling all your own desires. Come to my world and see what will power is."

"Yeah," Nick said, "Going to have to go with a hard pass on that one. If I willingly go over to your side, then Dad will get involved, and if Dad gets involved, Mom gets involved, and nobody wants Mom to get involved. Don't believe me, ask Goldar. Oh, right, you can't Mom and Dad destroyed him."

"Great, now you got Nick bragging about his parents," Vida muttered.

"Wait, You're of the house of Keeper?" Jenji asked.

"Yes, and I wish that you will help us," NIck insisted.

"Sorry," Jenji announced, "I just granted my own wish, to leave."

Nick watched in annoyance as the lamp floated away, "Well, let's try not to get my parents involved please."

"You're the one who keeps bringing them up," Chip muttered.

"Yeah, I don't even know where the whole 'knee of my father' came from."

"Let's focus on the fight please."

Right, the fight with Imperious, who had grown to a size that made their megazord form look puny.

"How are we going to fight that?" Maddy asked.

Nick shrugged, "Power Rangers don't give up," he insisted, "We give it our best shot."

It was only ten minutes later when Chip asked, "So do we give up now?"

"No," Nick insisted, "We go full power," he instructed, powering up the zord.

They rose up into the sky, only for something large to raise up behind them in the sky as well, towering over them.

"Jenji," NIck gasped as Jenji gently caught the megazord in his hands.

"What's in my hands," Jenji asked proudly.

"Foolish cat," Imperious snarled.

"Wrong," Jenji announced, "It's the power rangers," his hands opened and the megazord flew straight at Imperious, striking him.

"My magic is still weak," Imperious announced, "But I will be back to finish this."

Nick grinned at the others as Imperious fled, "That was a little hairy there for a moment," he confessed, as he turned to Jenji in his lamp, "Thanks for helping us, now there's just one thing for us to do."

"What?" Vida asked.

"We have to ask Udonna if we can keep Jenji."
