Maddy pulled the blindfold tightly around her head, "Okay," she announced nervously, "I think I'm ready."

"Perfect," Udonna announced, "Now everyone gather around Maddy, and when Maddy falls, catch her."

Maddy leaned forward, feeling hands grab her and pull her back up, before leaning back…

"Everyone come quick, the egg is hatching!" Clare's voice rang out through the room. Maddy went backward, further and further until she hit the ground.

Maddy ripped the blindfold off her head, glaring at her friends who were all gathered around the dragon's egg with Clare.

"Are you alright Maddy?" Udonna asked, offering her a hand up.

"Yeah," Maddy insisted, accepting the offered help.

"Look at him," Nick exclaimed, "He's so cute!"

"You act as if you have never seen a baby before," Vida stated.

"Actually I have four younger siblings," Nick offered, "Ruby, Grace, Troy, and Sky."

"Wow," Xander muttered, "You're house must never have been quiet growing up."

"Nope," Nick said, "I have two older sisters as well, and they were constantly fighting. Dad finally had enough fighting and added bedrooms to the attic."

"Wow," Maddy said, nudging into the circle, "Look at him, he's the most adorable thing ever."

A loud sound filled the air, as the rangers forced their attention away from the tiny baby dragon, "The crystal ball is picking up dark magic in the forest," Udonna announced, "You should go."

Nick did not trust Calindor, not one bit. For one thing his ring was burning like crazy when he appeared, for another thing, he never tried to stop them when they attacked, and just because he was an old friend of Udonna's didn't mean anything. In fighting killed more Keepers than any other manifestation of the Keeper's curse. He should know his grandpa was killed by his brother.

Of course the Keeper's Curse kept him from warning Udonna about this, as no sooner had she insisted that Calindor was an old friend of hers did they receive word that there was a monster attack downtown. Calindor was certainly laying on the 'I'm the good guy' act, shouting after them, "Fight with Honor." which was an odd thing to say.

The monster was attacking a parking garage, causing all sorts of trouble.

"The bad guys are always so easy to spot," Vida announced, grabbing her Magi staff and aiming it at the monster, before jumping into the air, aiming a kick straight at him, only for it to disappear into the pavement.

"What," Vida asked, "where'd he go?"

The others rushed to her side, staring at the spot where the monster had been only seconds earlier.

"You hoo," a voice called out behind them, "Looks like the jokes on you."

They turned around sharply, surprised to see the monster behind them.

"Oh no," Maddy suddenly called out, "Those people are going to fall."

Nick whipped around, looking at the people dangling from the top of the parking garage before turning his attention back to the monster, Maddy had that under control. But how did one fight a monster that they couldn't touch?

Maddy took off, jumping into the air and running on top of the cars towards the roof as the two dangling lost their grips and started to fall. Maddy jumped up, grabbing them, and gently placing them down on the ground.

"You spoiled my fun," the monster cried, turning around.

"You sound like my baby sister," Nick called out as the monster disappeared.

"That was the worst comeback I've ever heard," Chip announced.

"I know, it sounds like something my mom would say," Nick said with a groan, "Come on, we need to find him, he couldn't have gone far."

Nick rushed forward, glancing at the Jokester wondering what exactly he was up to, before summoning his mystic fighters and jumping him. Only for him to disappear through the pavement again.

"I hate when he does that," Nick cried out, "Where'd he go?"

Suddenly there was a heavy weight on top of him as his ring burned hot against his skin, "Get off," he ordered, throwing the monster off.

The flipped in the air and did a move he had seen his mother use multiple times before, knocking him straight in the chest before he could remember what the block for it was. Nick went flying in the air.

"That was a good one," the Jokester announced, waving enthusiastically at the rangers before announcing, "Bye bye," Diving once more into the pavement, "Coming through," he announced, popping his head out through the pavement and knocking over the other power rangers.

"This guy is looney," Xander announced, as the Jokester appeared once more, hammer in hand, pounding them down once more.

"You can't stop me, I'm Mister the Pester."

Nick pulled Maddy up giving the Jokester a dirty look.

"I'll love to stay and chat," Jokester insisted, "But I'll catch you on the flip side."

"That's my mom's saying!" Nick exclaimed as Jokester disappeared once more.

"Seriously?" Chip asked.

"Nick, are you okay?" Maddy asked.

"I'm fine," Nick insisted, looking around, before gasping, "Hey, look, he drew something over there. It looks familiar."

Unfortunately for them, it was around that time that they realized that they needed to make an appearance at work or they would get fired. The five of them stood around the circular display case in the middle of the store.

"We need to stop that circus clown," Nick said.

"How do we fight something we can't touch?" Vida asked, "Come on, you saw that thing, we couldn't land a punch."

"There has to be a way," Nick muttered, "That spinning kick, it's similar to a move that Mom uses all the time, if only I could remember how to block it."

Maddy frowned looking at Nick, the sixteen year old had certainly been mentioning his family a lot today.

"That symbol he drew on the ground," Vida spoke up, "I know that I've seen it around before, but where?"

"Maybe a dark seal," Maddy offered as Xander moved closer to her shoulder, breathing down her neck, "Xander what are you doing?" she demanded.

"It seems your prince has arrived," Xander announced, pointing at the little green frog that was on Maddy's shoulder.

Maddy shrieked, flinging the frog off her shoulder as she tried to move away from it.

"You still don't like frogs sis?" Vida asked.

"Not since the time you put one down my dress when we were kids no," Maddy insisted, screaming again as she jumped away from the frog.

"That was a long time ago," Vida insisted with a chuckle as Maddy tried to climb on top of Nick to get away from the frog.

"Get the frog," Nick shouted, dropping Maddy so that he could point out the frog.

Chaos ensued. The frog was fast, and any time they found it, it would just hop away before they could catch it. It also had a strange interest in Maddy, as if it took joy in making the girl scream in fright.

Suddenly there was another scream, coming from outside.

"That is never a good sound," Nick announced, "Come on, we better check outside."

The Jokester was back, causing havoc before scooping down and drawing a symbol on the ground, "This is great, now the seal is complete."

"Hold it right there Jokester," Maddy cried out, using her magi staff to wash away the symbol, "I know what you are trying to do, you're trying to create a dark seal like the one Koragg used. But it's not going to happen."

"When the seal is complete all the humans would be gone, and try to stop me," Jokester insisted, attacking them.

Maddy jumped up, meeting him halfway, only to get thrown through the air so hard that when she landed she was forced out of morph.

Nick grimaced, that had to have hurt and to make matters worse, the Jokester was about to deliver a final blow. Great, just great, his Dad was always complaining that the fatality rate for power rangers was too high already, with one death. A death that wasn't even permanent. Until now.

"Yuck a frog," Jokester exclaimed, jumping up while trying to dislodge the creature.

Maddy quickly scrambled to her feet, taking the opportunity to get away from the monster. The frog flew off the monster landing on the pavement with a flash of magic that caught everybody's attention.

"That frog's under a spell," NIck shouted, attacking the monster, "I don't know how to break it though."

"Maybe all you need to do is give him a great big kiss," Xander offered.

"Now's not the time to joke around," Maddy insisted.

"Actually, some spells are simple enough that a simple kiss will break it," Nick announced, "Heck some spells are simple enough that just thinking about a loved one will break it, but that might just be my parents."

Maddy scooped up the frog, "You saved me," she announced, "Thank you," she leaned forward and pressed her lips against the frog's skin.

Bright light erupted out of the frog who turned into a man. A man holding a morpher. The man slowly turned towards the monster, before helping Maddy up.

"My lady, thanks, you broke the curse," he announced.

"I did?" Maddy asked, shocked.

The man nodded as the other rangers rushed over.

"Hodiacs," Jokester called out, summoning the foot soldiers to him. Maddy rushed over with the others, ready to morph again when there was a hand on her shoulder.

"Allow me," the mysterious man insisted, stepping forward.

"Solar Cell Morpher," he called out, "Magical Source, Mystic Force!"

The others looked at each other, they had found another power ranger.

"Solaris Knight, I'm back in action," the man announced, before frowning, "Where's Jenji?"

Jenji suddenly appeared in his hand, "Sorry I was reading, where have you been, you look great."

"Sorry Jenji," he said, nodding towards the monsters.

"Right, we'll talk later," Jenji agreed, dunking his head back into his lamp.

Nick was impressed, and considering how often he watched his parents train, that meant something. He made it look easy. It took him only five minutes to totally destroy the monster.

"That was amazing," Chip exclaimed.

"Who are you?" Nick asked.

"Questions can wait until later, Udonna's in trouble."

"Keeper's Curse," Nick exclaimed, "I knew that Calindor was bad news, come on," he led the way to the tree.

Udonna and Clare were trapped in a force field when they arrived and Imperious was about to steal the Xenotome.

"Daggeron!" Udonna exclaimed, hugging the man.

"I'm sorry," Nick replied, "I should have warned you that I didn't trust Calindor, my Keeper protection was acting up around him. I'm surprised yours didn't."

"Sometimes the Keeper's Curse just needs to strike, with or without protection."

"Okay, so, can someone tell me who Daggeron is and why he was following my sister around as a frog?"
