As one of Naruto's clones was about to hit its objective, something slashed through it and the others closer to it. The original Uzumaki immediately stopped to look for the source of the attack as his clones exploded into small clouds of smoke. His blue eyes were snapped open by the presence of a tall, pale man, who held a long sword on his left hand. Behind him, a younger boy wearing blue clothes slowly approached the scene, his head looking down and his hands inside the pockets of his white shorts.

Shikamaru immediately got into his fighting stance, taking out a kunai to complement it. He stared coldly at the Uchiha's face, now being completely sure of his betrayal, and knowing well the treatment he was taught to give to his kind.

"Sasuke?!" Naruto raised an eyebrow at the presence of his teammate. "Why... I'm glad you are okay!"

"Hmph, of course I am, idiot!" Replied Sasuke, revealing his activated Sharingan.

"I always give a very humane treatment to the kids who purposefully join my village." Explained Orochimaru with a wide grin on his face.

Gohan was disgusted at the Sannin's face, how grotesque it was. However, he still hadn't raised his guard, his body standing in a relaxed stance. This annoyed the Sannin more than he would like to admit, but he guessed the boy was just being cocky, given his age.

"You must be the kid everyone is talking about," Orochimaru pointed at the saiyan, "you've triggered some alarms around the world. Congrats! It has been a while since someone young has scared the most powerful Kage, and that's probably only happened a handful of times."

The saiyan remained silent, wiping the sweat from his dirty face.

"I am afraid, though, that you are the first to be unlucky enough to be faced with someone of my level." He licked his lips. "You see, I'm above the level of any Kage that is currently alive."

Naruto was paralyzed at such a statement being pronounced, believing previously the Kage were the strongest shinobi in the world. Shikamaru, who tried to take some steps backwards, found himself in a similar situation, though the only move his legs could produce was shaking. Neji's eyes snapped open, while his hands started trembling.

Tayuya herself wasn't aware of such information, demonstrating it by turning to face her overlord, filled with fear. However, the white-haired boy grabbed her by the shoulder and beckoned her to leave, even pushing her back to snap her out of the trance she was in. The girl hesitated for a couple of seconds, but in the end she nodded and started running on the opposite direction.

Orochimaru noticed it, but he didn't mind it. He had something more important to do before dealing with rebels: destroying the last wall between him and the Sharingan.

Shikamaru and Naruto noticed the girl fleeing, but they were still immobilized by the fear. The saiyan was well aware of the state of his friends, so he started walking towards the Sannin.

"You killed the man that gave me the chance to live like any other citizen would, the chance to eat, the chance to have a good house. I'm grateful for that. Not only that, but you kidnapped a friend of ours, you destroyed their village, and many more crimes I don't know of." Gohan said as he approached the tall man. "I'm sure you are evil, and I'm gonna end you."

Orochimaru giggled. "I like you."

"Shikamaru, go for the girl. Naruto, take care of Sasuke." Ordered Gohan, getting a nod from both.

"Oh, so one of you is that Shikamaru?" Asked the Sannin with genuine interest, causing confusion among the leaf-nin as he seemed to know the name.

"I am." Coldly replied the member of the Nara clan.

Orochimaru turned serious for a moment, before finally letting out a big smile. "A friend of yours said that name with his last breath."

Shikamaru's heart stopped as everything around him seemed to disappear. Gohan's eyes widened, filled with horror.

"As I'm a merciful and generous person, I'll let you know his last words: 'Shikamaru, I just want some chips'. Such poetic words to utter while running out of blood in the floor, right?" Orochimaru giggled after speaking.

Nara's knees finally succumbed to the situation. Tears started streaming out of his eyes, as he grabbed his head and pulled his hair. Next to him, Naruto could only clench his fists and grit his teeth.

Sasuke lowered his head as he remembered the scene. Someone he had grown up and gone to academy with, killed by his new master in a brutal and cold way. This was the way he had to travel to become stronger.

"What did you say?" Asked the saiyan, not wanting to believe what he had been told.

"The last words of your friend. He had brown hair I think, but his clothes were already covered in blood." His lack of emotion while explaining the situation caused pure disgust in the saiyan, whose veins started to pop up on his forehead.

Shikamaru screamed and punched the floor. Then again, and again. He punched it until his fists started to bleed. Sasuke struggled to, but kept watching as that's what his new master instructed. This was the way he had to travel to defeat Itachi, he repeated to himself.

Around his body, a blue aura erupted, as his face succumbed into pure anger. Orochimaru's giggles transformed into cackles as the aura grew larger and more intense. Gohan finally let out a scream.

"N-NO! There's no way, no way!" Gohan fell on his knees and immediately punched the floor, creating a small crater around him. This shocked the sound-nin and their leader. "You... You will pay for this." His voice toned down, while tears still fell down his face.

Flashes of his previous fights started appearing in his mind. Piccolo's sacrifice to save him against Nappa, the many namekians he didn't save because of his cowardice. His heart racing, his vision blurry, breathing heavily as if he was struggling to. The androids, the massacres, his uselessness even after Cell appeared. He punched the floor again. It was happening again. This time, the destroyed white arena, surrounded with desert and nothingness. In a hill nearby, his friends staring in horror. Him, having given up, laying on the floor. His father, standing in between him and the monster, the bio-android. The man's hand placed on the creature's inflated abdomen, as both his own and the android's auras raged with intense golden light.

"It happened again..." He finally muttered, helplessly, giving place to the ever growing sparks to finally become a huge explosion of sheer power and pure energy. "Why am I so useless?!"

As the saiyan yelled, Shikamaru started to try and stand up. His knuckles were covered in blood, and tears still escaped his eyes, but he realized the danger staying there would mean. Neji noticed this too and prepared a retreat. Nara nodded as he was told about the plan through gestures. Then, Neji grabbed Naruto by the shoulder, who shook his head in denial. Hyuga was done with losses, so he tried to pull the blond boy by the arm, but Uzumaki resisted.

"If you want to go, then go, but I won't." He said, his confidence being translated into his serious tone. "We can't let them get away with this. As the future Hokage, I can't fail in this mission. I will defeat Sasuke and bring him back to the village."

"You've always been an idiot," Shikamaru replied, annoyed. He sighed, and then nodded, still wiping his tears. "But that's your decision, just promise you two will come back, we can't afford any more losses."

"Not two, three will go back to the village." Naruto turned around and gave his fellow genin a thumbs up, accompanied by a wide confident smile.

Nara nodded and then started running away from the confrontation, Neji next to him. They were going to look for the rest, as they were worried that they too could be in mortal danger.

"One of them as a prisoner." Said Neji, while running next to Shikamaru. Both were aware of the destiny that awaited Sasuke as a traitor.

She landed her blade on the armor that covered one of his arms, but it immediately broke. The sound-nin moved his other arm and pointed his open palm at her face, which revealed to her than on his palm there was a small hole. From it, a powerful wind current was released along with powerful sound waves that damaged her ears.

As she was pushed back, she began to hear a beeping sound inside her ear. Tenten wasn't sure what had just happened, but assumed it had been whatever she was shot with.

Next to her, Kiba and Akamaru charged against the remaining opponent. Akamaru attacked from the floor, while Kiba jumped on the last minute. Sakon kicked the small dog away, while grabbing the genin's fist and then throwing him onto the floor.

Inuzuka yelled as he felt something in his back snap. The dog quickly stood up to check on his friend, but the latter was unable to move without hurting. Tenten noticed this and gritted her teeth.

"Was that it?" Asked the two-headed shinobi. "Ha! I knew you were pathetic, but this is impressive."

Tenten sighed and grabbed one of her scrolls, putting it on the floor as she kneeled. She glanced at the dog. "Take him to a safe place, I'll take care of this."

Akamaru barked twice, before grabbing Kiba by the arm with his mouth. Inuzuka started crawling as his dog pulled him.

"I'm tempted to end him, but that would be cowardly." Said the boy of the happuri. "I hope you give us a good fight!"

A small cloud of smoke exploded above the scroll as the girl summoned a new weapon. This time, a chain scythe was held by the girl. "I'm going to kill you both."

She ran towards her enemies and threw the scythe at one of them. Sakon wasn't able to dodge so he put his arm between the rest of his body and the weapon. The result was a lost hand, and lots of blood.

The sound-nin of the happuri jumped on the girl and put his two hands on each of her ears.

"Say goodbye!" He yelled.

Tenten tried to take the hands off, but his grip was too strong. She heard the condensed air flowing through the metal conducts inside her opponent's arm, but still was unable to move them away, as if his arms were as heavy as a big rock.

While the saiyan's aura exploded into a golden light, the white-haired boy observed calmly. He smirked, and moved his sight towards the moon, which shone intensely over the desert.

"The boy who fell from the skies..." He said, calmly. He had walked away from the scene, knowing an unprecedented demonstration of power would soon happen. "I wonder why you didn't lose your body."

After whispering those last words, he blinked, revealing purple eyes with black rings over them. He sighed one last time and then started coughing. Blood came out as he coughed harder every time. He fell down to his knees. As he blinked again, his eyes went back to their previous form, and he fell unconscious to the floor.

And we get closer to chapter 50! Can't believe I've gone so far!

I'd like to thank all of the followers. Also I wanted to thank the recent reviewers, and maybe even reply to them :)

I see where you're coming from, and I'm doing something similar to what you're saying of fusing chakra with ki, but without making ki useless. Honestly, I think if I did make it useless, it would be an even harder nerf and I'd have gotten a lot more hate than I got lmao. But tbf, I expected it from the start, but I still believe nerfing him is needed for a more interesting story. I also didn't go the easy route and made him genin level altogether even in SSJ, I kept him very high in the power scale. However, the scale will keep rising and rising, and at one point, Gohan's current power might not be enough...

Thank you so much for staying so consistent! I really appreciate your reviews, at this point I really enjoy reading them, and I always check for them. I've even gone back to read your previous ones lol. But anyways. Gohan didn't literally forget, I wrote it more in the sense of in the moment he got distracted and forgot that detail. Like when you're focused on many things at the same time, and maybe you forget something that in normal conditions would be an easy solution for the problem. I hope i'm explaining myself correctly lol. Basically he forgot about it in the moment, not completely. It also isn't meant to take it seriously or as anything big, just a detail I decided to write in to show he has a bit of Goku in him still.

I'm glad you have enjoyed the story! That's its main purpose, in the end. Regarding Itachi and genjutsu, I'm glad you liked that. While planning that arc I was looking for ways of beating Gohan in the Shinobi World without just being stronger in terms of raw power, and genjutsu was really the first idea to come out. I've found other ways, but for now I'll keep them to myself. Also, what Kisame meant with the tired part was that Gohan didn't seem to tired when he fell on the genjutsu, so like, breathing heavily or sweating a lot.
Regarding the Orochimaru part, he probably would be directly unable to use Ki as he wouldn't even comprehend it. Or at least take him years to, as its a far more different energy. The reason Sasuke has made some progress there is because Gohan was there to explain stuff to him, and teach him how Ki works, and Sasuke is only able to emulate it, not use real Ki. But anyways, I'll keep the lore explanation there for now hehe.
About the last part, you'll get an answer soon.
And about a certain green android... You might want to stay tuned for just a bit longer to get a more direct answer on that.
