Author's note: Finally! My first review! I will be doing review responses at the beginning of every chapter that I get reviews.

DBZfan45: Yes. Things kind of suck for David right now.

Elfangor isn't younger than in the original Animorphs universe, his timeline has just been modified. You might want to read my other story, the Rise of Crayak, which explains how and why this universe was created.

Now onto the story

Chapter 3

"So here I am, just minding my own business at two P.M in the afternoon," Nate said, "I am perfectly normal. That thing with the Andalite or whatever was some screwed up dream concocted by my brain. Then this dude who looks like a mixture of James and I just barges into the house, saying we all need to meet up, and then morphs into the Andalite from my nightmare."

[I apologize for entering your house unannounced. I did not realize that you have to hit the door with one of your knuckles until the human inside comes to open it. If anything, it seems less polite to do that than to just walk in.] Elfangor said.

"It wasn't a dream." Tracy said. We were all meeting up in Tracy's basement, the one where her family keeps storage and stuff.

"Yeah? Well, it should be." Nate said.

"We can't just pretend this never happened. We have to fight the Yeerks. We have to defend our planet." Tracy said.

"We have to free my parents." I said. I hadn't said much since we met up.

"Okay. Have fun." Nate said. "Well I'm out."

[How dare you!] Elfangor said. [Hundreds of my fellow Andalite warriors gave their lives to save this planet! And you are too cowardly to fight so they did not give their lives for nothing? I broke Seerow's Kindness so you could have the power to fight. Do you realize what the Andalite High Command will do to me once they see me again? I will have my hair and my tail blade cut off, and I will be sent into exile on some distant planet. And you dare to take our sacrifices for granted? You are pathetic.]

"And you're a complete jerk that wants to control my time and involuntarily make me into a child soldier. I haven't exactly lived a happy life either. You know what I've been through? My older brother died a year ago, my parents have become distant and depressed, and if something happened to me it would kill them. Now what do you say about fighting a war?"

Elfangor had nothing to say to that.

Nate stormed out of the room, and we heard him leave the house.

[I did not realize that Nate has suffered such a traumatic experience.] Elfangor said. [It was very unkind of me to act that way towards him.]

"It's all right. There was no way you could have known." james spoke up.

"So is he just gone?" I asked.

"I'll try and talk to him." James said.

James left, leaving Tracy, Elfangor, and I.

"I think I'm going to spy on my parents." I said. "I mean, this whole Sharing thing might be a coincidence. I heard that Visser is actually a real last name. It could be german or something. Maybe it's just a perfectly innocent club run by some german guy."

[Or it could be a front for the Yeerks.] Elfangor said.

"Yeah. It could be. But I don't want to think of alien slugs living with me. My parents are not trying to take over the planet."

"No." Tracy said. "But the Yeerks in their heads might be."

"We need to morph and spy on them." I said. "Tracy, what morphs do you have?"

"I only have my Elfangor morph."

"You morphed Elfangor?" I asked.

"Yeah." Tracy said, looking embarrassed.

I decided to go to the Sharing meeting. I would morph my cat and sneak into the full members meeting. Nobody would notice a stray cat, I thought. But if my parents saw me, they might think I was Megadeth, which could get complicated.

We got into the meeting and I morphed.

My cat morph went unnoticed, and I was easily able to sneak into the meeting.

I saw Mr. Chapman, the school assistant principal. I saw my parents. I also saw another, older kid who used to be on the basketball team. His name was Tom Berenson.

"Item one," Chapman said, "We need to find the Andalite pilot who crashed in the construction site. There was no evidence of him being dead. We didn't find any body parts in the remains of his ship. Visser Three wants him found."

My father spoke up, and all doubt that had previously been in my mind evaporated. "I suspect my host's son may have been in contact with the Andalite. We will have to make him one of us or kill him by the end of this day."
