I think we've heard enough from Golden Boy, let's see how the other MCs are dealing with this.

Amity stared at the bottle of abomination slime she'd gotten from home. She wondered if anything would have been different if she'd had it. Probably not. The Emperor's guards would have probably just taken it from her whenever they'd been snatched up.

She drew a spell circle and the slime slid out of the bottle and formed a small abomination. Then she adjusted the circle and the abomination's entire body was immediately covered in spikes. She made its arm come off and hollowed it out before slipping onto her hand like a gauntlet.

Then she lunged off the couch and punched the abomination as hard as she could. Its head shot back a little and was caved in.

Amity pulled her hand back and stared at her damaged creation.

"Amity?"

Amity looked at Luz who walked out of the kitchen looking worried. "Oh Luz," she said, faking a smile. "How's it going?"

Luz touched her hand awkwardly. "Well Eda's… Eda's… I've never seen her that furious."

"I can imagine." Amity said. "I think Edric and Emira were planning to murder Belos when we left."

"Yeah…" Luz said sitting on the couch. "Sorry about that. But this place has a much better history of repelling attacks than your manor."

Amity sat next to her. "I know." She leaned so that her head was resting on Luz's shoulder. "So, I guess we're just hiding from everyone. Belos, my parents, Hunter." She trailed off.

There was an obvious elephant in the room to address, but Luz didn't have it in her. "So… why don't you want to tell your parents?"

Amity thought about it. "Because… I don't know how they'd react."

"What do you mean?" Luz asked. "I mean, surely they'll want to do something. They can't ignore you being…" Luz trailed off.

"I know that that's what parents are supposed to do." Amity said. "But there are so many things parents are supposed to do that they don't do, and I'm scared that if they react the wrong way… it'll be the end. I won't have it in me to forgive them."

"I mean… they have to be upset though? Right?"

"Why would they?" Amity asked, "their Omega daughter is mated with the head of the most powerful Coven on the boiling Isle. The right hand of the Emperor. I'm scared they'll celebrate even if it was…" Amity trailed off.

Luz wanted to say something but didn't quite know what to say. She didn't know Amity's parents that well. But she just couldn't understand any parent being accepting of those circumstances.

"What about your mom?" Amity asked.

Luz sighed. "My mom will probably call the police. There are laws against forced mating on earth."

"We have those laws too." Amity said. "But I don't think they apply to Belos."

"That's unfortunate. There are some real child endangerment and labor charges I'd love to throw at him."

Both girls chuckled at the idea before quieting down.

"We have to talk about Hunter." Luz said.

Amity didn't respond.

"I mean… we know he's innocent. Right?"

"Ed and Em didn't seem convinced." Amity said.

"But you defended him." Luz said. "I kinda didn't expect it. I thought I'd have to do it."

Amity remembered the sight of a rabid blonde above her in the cold forest as her mind slowly faded into a lusty haze and she begged him to let her go. And he did. "Yeah. He resisted his body for two hours. A day after snapping out of a rutting rage. He might have made it the whole way if…" Amity didn't say anything.

"Right." Luz said. "I shouldn't have touched him."

Amity blinked before leaning back so she could look at her girlfriend. "No, Luz, it's not your fault."

"But it is." Luz said. "I couldn't resist it. I had to touch him. I knew what could happen. I had to know." She stared at the ground. "Maybe I wanted it to happen? I mean, I do find guys attractive. Is it my fault? Did I want…"

Amity grabbed Luz's hand. "Listen to me Noceda. It was just the pheromones. They clouded your judgement. What happened in that room was definitely not your fault."

"So what?" Luz asked. "The bad guy is the way we were born?"

"No." Amity said, squeezing her girlfriend's hand. "The bad guy is the person who put three teenagers in a situation where they'd fail."

"Belos." Luz said, surprising Amity, not with her answer, but with her tone. Amity had never heard such… hate in her girlfriend's voice. "He did this to us. Why?"

"Hunter's children apparently." Amity replied.

Both girls froze before glancing at each other.

"I completely forgot about that." Luz said. "You don't think that we're…"

Amity blinked. "I mean… I don't know. We… might not be but… Alpha's pheromones can trigger an Omega's reproductive organs. And we sat in his for a long time."

Luz put her hand over her stomach. Then she buried her face in her hands. This was… this was too much. How was she meant to deal with this? Just that morning she was a 17-year-old navigating the beginning of her first relationship, and now there was every chance she was about to become a teen mom.

Amity was snapped out of her own stupor by the sounds of her girlfriend sobbing and threw her arms around her. "It's okay." She said, not sure if she was trying to convince Luz or herself. "We can handle this together. I'm here. I've got you."

Luz blinked and quickly hugged her back. "Kids," she said with a chuckle. "It feels like just last week Hooty kidnapped you and dropped you in the tunnel of love."

"It was last week."

"Oh." A thought occurred to Luz. 'So what does this make us? Sister wives?"

Amity rolled her eyes. "Maybe if you dropped the sister."

As soon as the words left her mouth, both girls separated and stared at each other, turning red as they did.

"I mean…" Amity said, "I mean like, we uh…" She sighed, "I've got nothing."

Luz laughed. "You're adorable," she said.

Amity laughed before tackling her girlfriend back so that she was lying on top of her. "I'm your girlfriend." Amity said. "And Hunter is… a side-effect of our biology. He'll just have to deal with that."

Luz frowned. "Let's not call our friend a side-effect."

"Fine." Amity said. "An unfortunate, undesired attachment."

Luz laughed. "That's just saying side effect with more syllables."

Amity rolled her eyes before diving in for a kiss.

Both girls couldn't help but compare it to the only other person they'd kissed. And while the hazy kisses with the Alpha had been full of passion and long, this shorter kiss had something the others didn't. They meant it. It was something they wanted both consciously and unconsciously. Mere instinct, while it could compel them, could never make them enjoy something as much. What they had with each other was real.

Amity pulled back with a smile. "See."

Luz nodded.

Amity got off her girlfriend and leaned back against the couch. "I think we'll be fine."

"That's great." King said, drawing their attention to King, Hooty and Eda waiting at the kitchen entrance.

"How long were you guys there?" Luz asked.

"You're pregnant?" Hooty screamed.

"Right." Luz said.

"Of course you realize that if you are pregnant, the Golden Asshole better be ready to take responsibility."

There was a knock on the door and Eda walked up to it. "I know you insist that he's not at fault, and Belos must be watching him like a hawk, but he better not think he can get away with being an absentee father. If you two have to deal with the consequences, then so does he."

She opened the door.

The world practically screeched to a halt as everyone stared at Hunter, standing at the door. The light of the sunrise behind him made him seem unreal. "I'm here." He said resolutely.

"I still don't like him." Eda said, more to herself than anyone else.

A chapter dedicated to Lumity and their thoughts on the matter.

I have some ideas of where to take the story, but I don't want it to get too… exploitative. I'm dealing with a lot of LGBT elements I don't have that much confidence in my ability to write and the non-con elements are treated with a lot more seriousness than I usually write it in my other stories. It's a recipe for potential disaster.

Next chapter, the reunion and the new normal.
