"Annabeth, where're my sneakers?" Percy called. They were leaving for camp in less than ten minutes and his shoes were missing.

"You just had them Seaweed Brain, did you put them with the rest of the stuff?" Annabeth asked from the kitchen. Percy looked over by the door and their backpacks. No shoes in sight.

"Nope, are you sh-" Percy started, but his mom spoke up from down the hall.

"I have them, Estelle wanted to see if they'd make a good snack apparently," Sally said. She appeared from her bedroom with Estelle looking very put out and still trying to grab the shoes.

"Ga ba ga!" Estelle gabbled still reaching for the shoes. Percy laughed and went to get the shoes from his mom.

"Not for eating silly," Percy said booping his sister's nose fondly. He would miss his sister, the only regret he had about moving to New Rome for college was that he would be leaving his family in New York. Although Jason had mentioned something about flying with him whenever he wanted so that Zeus wouldn't blast him out of the sky, so maybe he'd be able to visit more often than he thought. But for now, it was still summer, and he'd be coming back every weekend until he left for California.

"You two be safe, and bring Nico and Will next weekend," Sally told him. "And don't forget about bringing the rest of your friends when you can too. I've barely seen them at all this summer." Percy nodded and hugged his mom. Estelle tried to pull his hair, but he pulled back quickly before she could and started laughing at the put out look on his little sister's face.

"No hoof marks this time, right?" Paul asked appearing from a doorway down the hall as well. He had already gotten a new car and given the Prius to Percy, but it was still a good joke.

"Not planning on it, no," Percy said with a shrug. They both chuckled a bit before Annabeth came to drag Percy out the door.

"Come on, Chiron is expecting a handful of new campers as well," Annabeth said. Percy and Annabeth grabbed their bags and after a few last goodbyes they headed downstairs to the street.

"So, any idea how many Chiron is expecting?" Percy asked as they headed towards the interstate. They had gotten so many new campers in the past year that it was getting hard to keep up, they had almost two hundred campers now. The age of new campers was also getting younger, the youngest they had right now had turned six the week after they arrived. The gods were keeping their promise and talking to their demigod children more, but an unfortunate side effect was monsters finding new demigods much earlier than before. But with Grover and the satyrs teaming up with the fauns in New Rome they were finding demigods much easier, and getting them to the camps much quicker. Annabeth's cousin and the Chase Space also helped a lot as well, it also helped that the protections that the Greeks, Romans, Norse, and Egyptians had put on the new youth shelter practically radiated safety and acted as a magnet for all sorts of demigods.

"I think that there are three more coming this week, then for now that's it. There haven't been any new demigods found for about a month, so we might get a brake now," Annabeth said leaning her seat back a bit. Percy smiled; a calm summer sounded perfect.
