Sally was just putting Estelle down for a nap when there was a knock at the door. She set Estelle down hoping that she'd stay asleep for at least a few more minutes. When she got to the door Paul was already there frowning at two people in casual clothes.

"Hi, you must be Ms. Jackson, we're friends of Percy's. Can we come in?" a woman with red hair asked. Sally narrowed her eyes slightly at them, she knew all of Percy's friends and these two were not on that list.

"Oh? Where'd you meet him? I love meeting all of Percy's friends," Sally asked faking polite curiosity, but not letting them in quite yet.

"We met in Atlanta, he helped us with a dead car battery. We gave him and his friends' lunch as a thank you, Percy said that if we ever came to New York he'd show us around," the redhead said with a sweet smile. Sally slowly reached for the hidden bronze dagger that was taped underneath the small side table, Percy had told her about the Atlanta incident. She did not want two vengeful gods in her apartment.

"Get out," Sally said with a glare. "Percy's not here, so get out before you regret it." The two people frowned as the door was slammed in their face, but Sally didn't care. She knew that making two possible gods mad wasn't a good idea, but Percy got his rebellious streak from both his mortal and godly parentage. Then there was another knock at the door, Sally turned and looked out the peephole, the two people were still there, but they didn't look mad.

"Ms. Jackson we only want to ask you a few questions," the blond man said calmly. Sally knew that if they were gods they would have already left or blasted her down already, and her sight was still good enough that she would have at least gotten a feeling if they were monsters. They must be mortal, but why would they want to ask her questions? Sally opened the door slightly and stared long and hard at both of them.

"Who are you? Because I know you're not Percy's friends," Sally said cutting right to the chase. The blond man seemed on edge now, but the redhead seemed perfectly calm.

"My name is Zara Patterson, this is my partner Victor Cole. We're agents with the FBI and would like to ask you a few questions," Natasha said pulling out her shield badge, pressing a secret button to change it to match her story. Clint did the same with his. "If now isn't a good time we can always come back later." Sally gave a resigned sigh and opened the door to let them in. She led them to the living room and they sat down. Paul had gone to check on Estelle, and Sally was left to get rid of two federal agents.

"Was there any specific reason Percy was kidnapped when he was twelve?" Clint asked. Sally frowned and shook her head.

"No idea, the kidnapper escaped, and Percy said that the guy wasn't the most talkative," Sally told them confused. Why were they asking about an incident that had happened over 6 years ago and had already been reported and investigated?

"What about the past few summers? He has been seen all over the world without a travel record or a passport," Clint pressed. Sally frowned even more, the mist should have covered that up, and with all the other things happening in the world with the Avengers why would they be interested in Percy? "Did you know that your son has been at the scene of multiple crimes and never been questioned?" Sally was now worried; the mist should have kept everything hidden but now Percy was being watched by the government. Sally hadn't thought up any super detailed stories to explain Percy's quests, now she was wishing that she had.

"What crime scenes? I was told by the police that everything was accidents," Sally said trying to act as the oblivious and worried mother, she couldn't let these mortals find out any more than they already had.

"Most were, we just want to ask Percy for his side of the story," Natasha said with a sweet smile. Sally knew what question was coming next, and she didn't know how she was going to answer it. "Is he home? It would be nice if we could talk to him." Sally knew that she couldn't keep up the act much longer, she needed to get rid of these mortals before they got even more suspicious.

"Unfortunately not. He's at camp and he doesn't have access to his phone while he's there. But I promise anything you think Percy may have been involved in isn't true," Sally said politely. She snapped her fingers and focused on the basic things Poseidon had taught her many years ago, and hoped that the mist would cover the rest. Even if she wasn't a demigod, having clear sight and a godly lover gave her a few tricks to use in situations like this. "Have a nice day." She got up and lead them to the door. They looked confused but didn't say anything, so Sally hoped that the mist was doing its thing.

"Are they gone?" Paul asked quietly from the hallway. Sally nodded and took a deep breath, she needed to tell Percy that the mist wasn't covering as much as it should.

Authors note: Hope you guys liked the two chapter update ;). And yes, I know that in canon Sally never had any special powers, but idc so don't me! But anyway, I'll be back next Saturday with more content. It's about to get really interesting...
