Chapter II
Utah, Parking lot of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, 6:00p.m.
The group of young adults and caveman pulled into the parking lot of Freddy Fazbear's at 6:00p.m. They had time to see the restaurant before the mission began and to settle into their roles. Walking through the doors, they saw how cheerful it seemed to look, with children running around and eating pizza for birthdays. Yet, as they looked for Michael Afton to land jobs, they felt great unease. Especially when they looked at the performers on stage: three animatronic mascots, a purple bunny with a guitar, a chicken with a cupcake and bib, and a bear in a top hat and bow tie. From the reports, these three were Bonnie, Chica, and Freddy Fazbear respectively. They also know about a Fox dress as a pirate: Foxy.
"Those robots… guys I have a bad feeling about this." Billy quietly voiced his unease. The others nodded, not wanting to draw attention.
"Hey there! Welcome to Freddy's! I'm Michael Afton. How can I help you guys?"
"Hey, I'm Martin, and these are my friends and step sister: Java, Billy, Diana, and my girlfriend Alexandra. We're actually all here for a job."
"I see, follow me then. I'll get you guys settled in. We already have the necessary paperwork. Now we get you suited up."
The group followed Michael to a storage room. They dressed into their uniforms, Java, Diana, and Billy finished their shifts. Now it was Martin and Alex's turn.
12:00a.m.
"You ready Martin?"
"Well yeah, I mean this place can't be too bad despite the vibes. What's the worst that can happen?"
"You mean besides using up power?"
The phone rang. Once. Twice. Alex put it on speaker.
"Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact. So, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you there's nothing to worry about. Uh, you'll do fine. So, let's just focus on getting you through your first week. Okay?
Uh, let's see, first there's an introductory greeting from the company that I'm supposed to read. Uh, it's kind of a legal thing, you know. Um, "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. A magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering that damage or death has occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days, or as soon property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpets have been replaced.
Blah blah blah, now that might sound bad, I know, but there's really nothing to worry about. Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No. If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years and I never got a bath? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too. So, remember, these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children and we need to show them a little respect, right? Okay.
So, just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit. Uh, they're left in some kind of free roaming mode at night. Uh...Something about their servos locking up if they get turned off for too long. Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too. But then there was The Bite of '87. Yeah. I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?
Uh, now concerning your safety, the only real risk to you as a night watchman here, if any, is the fact that these characters, uh, if they happen to see you after hours probably won't recognize you as a person. They'll p-most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume on. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to... forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit. Um, now, that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area. So, you could imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort...and death. Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask, heh.
Y-Yeah, they don't tell you these things when you sign up. But hey, first day should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow. Uh, check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright, good night."
"Okay. Is it just me or did it just get creepier?" Alex was clearly concerned.
Martin didn't answer, watching the cameras. He checked every room, making sure all was right. "Alex, can you wait here? I'm going to check the storage room."
"Sure thing Martin." Martin got up and left the office. He found the storage room, and what immediately hit was the stench coming from the animatronic parts. Felt a Freddy head, and his hand brought something fluid up. He couldn't see, so he activated the u-watch.
U-watch activated. Alpha goggles selected.
Putting the goggles on and turning on the light, he found the Freddy head was covered in some sort of ooze emanating from the mouth.
U-watch activated. Slime scan selected.
Martin used the swab to collect a sample and was about to send an analysis to the Center when a particular set of readings caught his eye: some of these matched those of human flesh and organs. Martin felt his hands shake.
'W-w-w-what?! How is THIS possible?!'
Martin made his way back to the office. Alex immediately saw how concerned her boyfriend was.
"Martin? What happened?"
"Nothing, just creeped out by this place." Martin lied to calm her, then peaked at the camera overlooking the stage and immediately noticed Bonnie was gone. "Uh, Alex? I think we might have a problem." Flipping to the camera overlooking the dining room, they both saw Bonnie walking. They also saw the power was approaching 85% and the clock read 2:00am.
"Martin? What do we do?"
"First, we survive, next wait until the center finishes analyzing a sample I sent, then we figure out how to deal with this."
They kept an eye on Bonnie, yet also checked on Pirate Cove due to knowing about Foxy, and occasionally checked the stage. 4:00am, Chica was gone, and Bonnie was outside the office. The two had already closed the door, and sweat was pouring down.
"I hope the Center finds out what we can do Martin, something tells me we might not live long enough to see the day."
5:55am. All the animatronics were outside the doors. 5:59am, the power went out. Alex squeezed Martin's hand in fear, and vice versa. Lights blinking and a music box playing, Freddy Fazbear was outside the office, now wide open. All of a sudden, bells rang out, and the animatronics went back to their proper spaces as the two saw 6:00am hit on the clock.
"Well Alex, we survived." Martin breathed a sigh of relief he had not known he was holding, and the two hugged. They were about to kiss when a familiar voice rang out.
"Wow, the two of you look like a mess." Billy walked into the office. The two jumped apart and went scarlett. "BILLY! You really need to stop doing that."
