The next day comes, the sun illuminated brightly over the domed city. Luna didn't get much sleep last night because of those same incessant nightmares that she's been living with for the past few months. It was something that she wanted to keep to herself.
The three wolves walked in sync through the city, which was crawling with humans. The humans paid no mind to them when they walked by. However, they were talking about how a wolf waltzed into town.
However, the dogs in the city were hiding behind their humans because they didn't see them as humans, they saw them as wolves walking among the humans. They see a white arctic wolf, a dun mexican wolf, and a black timber she-wolf.
Luna walked between Hige and Kiba with her hands in her pockets. She took notice that Hige had snagged something from a stand before he ran into an alleyway. Kiba and I follow him.
The dun mexican wolf sits down on some steps and pulls out three hot dogs that were in buns. He then tosses them the hotdogs. "Hehe, you didn't think I forgot about our food date, did you?" Hige said with a smile. Luna only rolled her eyes when he said that; she knew it wasn't officially a date.
"Cute. Do you want to explain what the hell this is?" Luna asked, looking down at the hot dog. She wasn't that hungry anymore. "This is the best you can get around here. If there was a deer loping by, I could catch it for you." Hige said, sounding flirtatious towards Luna again. "Psh, no need to impress me, tough guy. I can hunt for myself." Luna replied.
Kiba took a small bite of the hot dog and was subtly disgusted by the taste of it. It wasn't anything like he had eaten before. "This is awful." he says bluntly. Hige had already finished his hot dog with no issue.
Luna took a bite out of it and instantly spat it out in pure disgust. She threw it behind her. "Hey, what happened with you being hungry?" Hige asked, his eyes widening at what Luna did. "Unlike you, I'm not used to this. I'll try to find me something else." Luna replied, putting her hands in her pockets.
"Your loss then. Gotta say, you're not easy to woo, huh?" he asked her. "Does that answer your question?" she asked, referring back to the hot dog. "Guess it does." Hige responded. Luna isn't a hopeless romantic unlike Hige, who would probably hit on any female he comes across.
Then, the three wolves hear the sound of struggling happening in the distance, getting them to look in that direction. "Looks like those nobles are at it again. They seem to be picking up one idiot after another." Hige sighed, sounding like he was used to hearing all the commotion of this city.
"So you've seen all that there's to see here?" Luna asked, still looking towards the sound. "You know it. Guess you haven't stayed in a city long enough to see it for yourself?" Hige replied. She looked at him to show that it was true. Luna has been a traveler since she was a pup therefore, she didn't stay long in any city that she had come across.
"Where do the humans go when they're caught?" Kiba asked, slightly inquisitive. He looked up at the ceiling of the dome. Luna couldn't answer that herself. The humans would normally keep to themselves and not talk about the nobles but she has seen them before.
"Same place that they took you supposedly." Hige said, shrugging his shoulders. Kiba was focused on where the sound was coming from. He then cracked an idea that just might work into reaching Paradise.
"Perfect. I can blend in and sneak back inside." he said, much to the shock of the other two wolves. "Are you serious, Kiba? You're going back there? Did you forget that we fooled them to get out of there?" Luna said in disbelief. Hige was also shocked by this idea.
"She's right, Kiba. That hotdog fried your brain!" Hige retorted, leaning forward on the steps. Kiba wasn't fazed by their opposed thoughts. There was something in there that he had to check out.
"I'm going in there." Kiba bluntly says. Luna's eyebrows raised up at the white wolf's stubbornness. Nothing they were saying would get him to change his mind.
"Hold on a damn minute, I thought you were going to Paradise?" Luna questioned, turning to look at him. "Look, as far as we can tell, that scent's coming from that building. And the only way in is to get caught. The both of you know what's being concealed right? The beacon that'll open Paradise." Kiba explains. Hige leaned back on the steps and closed his eyes.
"Psh, well forget it. They'll never let you get close to Cheza." Hige huffed at Kiba. Kiba raised his eyebrow at the flower maiden's name. Sure, he'd been looking for Paradise for a while now but he never heard of Cheza before. "Cheza?" he asked in a confused tone.
"She's the girl made from the Lunar Flower. Hige told me that she was made from the scientists here." Luna answered, crossing her arms. "Yeah, it's pointless to go back. I couldn't get in as far as the lab." Hige said. The people in this city were strict on who they'd let in when it comes to the lab itself.
"So again, why did you two come along?" Kiba asked, his eyes narrowing. "I just followed my nose." Luna answered, shrugging her shoulders. "I came here for a little excitement." Hige said, opening an eye.
"Don't you two believe in Paradise?" Kiba asked us. "No, I don't see the damn point." Luna replied, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, I'm not going either." Hige declined, looking away from Kiba. Kiba was appalled of the opposed responses, therefore, he just walked away from them. If they didn't want to go then it was their choice. "Fine. See you two around then." he said as he walked off.
"Hey, Kiba!" Hige called, watching as Kiba walked away. Luna shook her head and sighed. She wanted nothing to do with Paradise; not anymore. She would rather just stay under the humans shadow.
Without a word, Luna turns in the direction that they came from with her hands in her pockets. "Luna! Where're you going?" Hige called her. She stopped walking and looked back at him. "I'll see you around Hige." she vaguely says.
Luna didn't want to be in that city anymore. She didn't want to be around that stubborn white wolf for any longer. Who did he think he is in trying to convince them to go with him to this myth called Paradise? She then left Hige in that spot and disappeared out of sight.
Hige just leaned back against those steps with his hands behind his head. He didn't want to see Luna off so suddenly but he could tell that she was independent. He just decided to let them go.
(Luna and Toboe)
Luna walked down the street with her hands in her pockets. She looked through the few strands of hair that rested in front of her eyes as she walked inconspicuously. That same flowery scent was still lingering in the air. The black she-wolf smelled it, taking in a few deep inhales.
After a while of walking, she decided to find a place to take a break. She thought she could get a couple of hours of shut eye since she didn't get much sleep the previous night. She turned into another alleyway and saw that she wasn't alone.
Eating from a trash can, was another wolf. A smaller wolf. "Hello there." she said softly. The wolf looked at her, his gold-yellow wolf eyes widened a little bit. He was much smaller and slender than her. His fur was reddish brown with a sandy brown face mask and sandy brown bottom half. He also wore four bracelets on his right foreleg that made a jangling sound whenever he walked.
The red wolf saw that Luna was also a wolf, a much bigger wolf compared to him. "You're another wolf… just like me?" he asked in a timid voice. Luna walked to him and saw him stand in his human form. "Yeah. I'm a wolf too." she tells him.
He had light chestnut-red hair that came down to his neck. His eyes were a light, golden brown color. He had an effeminate face and fair caucasion skin. He wore a faded, red zipper shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, olive green cargo pants and dark green military boots.
The red wolf smiled at the black she-wolf and extended his hand for a handshake. "I'm Toboe! What's your name?" he asked in a friendly tone. "Luna. It's nice to meet you, Toboe." Luna said with a smile as she accepted the handshake.
"Why're you going through the trash?" she asked him, going back to when she saw him digging through the trash. Toboe looked a little embarrassed that she saw him doing that. "That's how I find food. There's not much here and… it's all I've got." he answered in a timid, shy voice.
"Oh… I see. Must be really hard." Luna commented, feeling sympathy for the young wolf, "I didn't expect to find such a young wolf before." "Really? I mean, you're the first wolf I've ever seen. It's awesome that there's more of our kind here." Toboe replied in an adorable way, making Luna smile.
She couldn't help but chuckle at the adorableness of this pup. It was sad to see him fighting the crows here for food just so he could make it another day. "Why don't we find ourselves some food? I'll do what I can to help you out. No wolf should go hungry." Luna offered.
"You will? Oh, that's so nice of you! C'mon, I think I know where we can get something." Toboe said, grabbing the black she-wolf by her hand. He pulled Luna behind him. "Alright, you lead the way, kid." Luna said, following him out of the alleyway.
The two wolves walk together in their wolf forms to another alleyway, where another bin of food is waiting for them. Luna didn't feel so comfortable in being in her wolf form while in the city since she was used to hiding what she really was in the cities. The hot sun beat down on Luna, making her feel hot due to her heavy, black fur.
The pavement was very warm against her wolf paws but it wasn't unbearable. There were a bunch of crows surrounding the food, cawing quietly as they started to pick at the food. Luna wasn't focused on the trash bins, she was focused on the crows. They'd make an easy meal for her.
"Watch this." Toboe said, slowly walking up to the birds. Luna watched with her wolf ears raised up all the way as the red wolf charged at the birds. He growled with his wolf jaws open to chase the birds away. The birds ended up violently pecking him on his muzzle making him whine from the pain.
He tried backing away from the birds but he bumped into a cat, which hissed at him. He darted towards a box and hid behind it with his wolf tail between his hindlegs. Luna bared her wolf fangs at the birds for hurting the pup.
The black she-wolf runs at the birds, who scattered at the sight of her. She jumped up in the air with her jaws open and her sharp wolf fangs bared. She caught one of the birds in her jaws, feeling it crunch in her jaws.
However, her reward wasn't easy to take as the other crows started to peck at Luna's muzzle, causing her to drop the bird. One bird pecked her hard in the eye, causing her to yelp in pain. She pawed at her eyes and whimpered. She subtly felt embarrassed at herself because she never lost to a bird before.
"Are you okay, Luna?" Toboe asked, looking at her from behind that box. "They got me in my eyes. Damn it hurts." Luna replied, shaking her wolf head. Luna walked up to where Toboe was and growled at the birds. She decided to not mess around with them again.
Toboe's wolf ears suddenly raise up as if he hears something and he looks off to the right. Luna looked in his direction also. The two wolves see a teenage girl walking by them with her father in front of her. She carried a brown sack of groceries.
As she walks by, a potato falls out of her bag and it rolls down a set of stairs. Toboe walked out of his hiding spot and walked to it. Luna watched him sniff it from afar; staying in the same spot.
As the red wolf was about to take it, the girl noticed that the potato was missing. Toboe whimpered and ran back behind the crate. The girl then notices the two wolves and looks at them with a calm expression.
Luna was surprised that this girl wasn't afraid of them. She hadn't shown her wolf form in front of humans before and when she does, they're not afraid. Luna didn't show any signs of aggression towards the girl. Normally, the black she-wolf doesn't trust humans no matter how friendly they seem but, this human was different. She'd keep her guard up though.
The girl smiled at the two wolves and she pulled out some linked sausages. "Here. Try some of these. They taste better." she says to them, holding them out to them. Luna sat down, her wolf ears lowering a bit. She showed no interest in eating those despite how hungry she was feeling.
Toboe was still frightened and tried to hide more. "C'mon, you're hungry aren't you?" the girl asked. Toboe looked at Luna, his wolf ears lowered a little. "C'mon. It's okay." the girl encouraged them.
Luna couldn't understand why this human wasn't afraid of her because she knew that humans were scared of wolves. It didn't make any sense to her. The girl takes out another link of sausages to entice the black she-wolf.
Luna carefully walked up to her and sniffed the sausages with Toboe beside her. The girl wasn't fazed by Luna's enormous size compared to Toboe. Luna sniffed them and felt her stomach growl again.
She then took them from the girl's hand and backed up a few feet. Luna quickly ate them up. Toboe had also eaten those sausages and let the girl pet him. As the girl started to walk away from the red wolf to rejoin her father, Toboe started to follow her. Luna stayed where she was.
"No stay. Sorry boy but even if you followed me home, I couldn't keep you. Stay here with your friend." she tells him. Toboe had sat down on the ground and tilted his wolf head at the girl. The girl was surprised that Toboe listened to her. Then, she took off back to rejoin her father.
Luna walked up to the red wolf and looked at him with her wolf head tilted slightly. "You seem to like humans, huh?" she asked him. "Yeah. They're aren't that bad." the red wolf answered.
"Toboe, she might be nice now. But she's going to figure out that we're wolves. It's not going to last forever." Luna tells him, knowing it from experience. "You don't know that." Toboe said, doubting her. "I do, Toboe. Just take my word for it." Luna tells him.
Toboe stood back up and shook his red fur. "I don't know, Luna. We should at least thank her for them." Toboe suggested. Luna wasn't sure that that would work because she didn't want that human to know that they're wolves.
"Okay. Let's go." Luna sighs, starting to walk ahead of the red wolf. She didn't want to bother with it but she didn't want to upset this pup so she just played along with it.
After a few hours, the two wolves walked back into town in their human forms. Toboe, unlike Luna, was eager to see that girl again. Luna kept her hands in her pockets, not wanting to give the girl her thanks for giving her food because she didn't see any point in it. She didn't understand why Toboe was so fond of humans when he's also a wolf.
They came to another part of town and the same girl was walking by herself with another sack of food in her arms. "Hey, there she is." Toboe said, running ahead of Luna. "Hey! Toboe, wait." Luna called, running after him.
They catch up with the girl, who was shocked to see them. "Hey, my friend and I want to thank you. For before." Toboe said, walking next to her. "Huh?" the girl asked in confusion. "Those sausages." Luna finished, her voice deadpanned. The girl looked at the pair as if they were crazy.
"Oh remember back there in the alley? Well, those were our dogs you gave those sausages too. The black one is hers." Toboe said, pointing to Luna. Hearing that made Luna cringe. She hated being called that.
The girl was surprised to hear Toboe say that. She looked at the pair with a smile on her face. "Those beautiful dogs belong to you guys?" she asked them. Luna's eyes widen at the word beautiful. No human had ever called her that before so it stunned her.
"Yeah, yeah they're ours!" Toboe said with a bright, wide smile on his face. "But how'd you know about them?" the girl asked. Luna had to think of a believable lie with that response. "Um… some lady at the store told us about them." she tells the girl.
"What're their names?" the girl asked. Toboe chuckles, putting his hands behind his head. "The red one is Toboe and the black one is Luna." the red wolf replies, his eyes closed. "Wow. Weird names." the girl said. Luna cringed again at that comment but she knew she had to play along. "Yeah. I guess they are." she said.
The girl looks at Luna with a warm smile. "My name's Leara. What about you guys?" she asked them. Luna felt a lump form in her throat. Toboe noticed the nervous look on Luna's face and he cleared his throat.
"It's Luna and Toboe. We just said that." Toboe replies without a problem. Leara was confused yet again. "Aren't those your dogs' names?" Leara asked, raising an eyebrow. Luna felt a nerve strike in her cheeks, causing them to turn red.
"Well, we're all alike so we both decided to name them after ourselves." Toboe says, referring to the both of us. Luna smiled a little at this, finding it somewhat amusing. "You two are weird." Leara said with a chuckle. Toboe giggled at this lightly.
(Tsume)
Tsume, having left that gang of thieves he was roped in, was walking through an alleyway with his shades over his eyes. That gang decided that they didn't want to work with him anymore after what happened to that boy he tried to save. He now just wanted to be alone.
He came to the end of the alleyway but quickly hid after seeing the soldiers starting to load people up into the back of a truck. One of them stuck out, it was Kiba, his hands behind his head. The grey wolf scoffed at seeing him because he didn't want anything to do with the white wolf after their violent encounter last time.
(Luna, Toboe, and Tsume)
Luna and Toboe had made their way off of the streets. Toboe was skipping ahead of Luna with his hands behind his head, laughing joyfully. Luna walked behind him with her hands in her jacket pockets.
It amused her to see him be this joyful despite them only knowing each other for a few hours. Toboe could see the good in humans unlike Luna. She wanted to get out of sight of the humans who were crowding the streets with those cars.
The pair turn a corner and suddenly run into Tsume. Toboe gasped the second he laid eyes on the grey wolf. Luna was flustered for a moment at the appearance of this wolf. "You're another one… Just like us." Toboe said, cowering down a bit.
"Get out of my way. Both of you." Tsume snarled, looking down at the pair with a cold expression. Tsume looked passed the two. Luna and Toboe carefully looked behind them to look at what Tsume was looking at.
Luna felt her stomach drop when she saw it was that bluish-black hunting dog that she saw before coming into the city a day ago. The dog stared down at the three wolves with an ice-piercing, hateful stare. Luna reciprocated that same glare.
Toboe saw the dog too and he froze in place. As expected, the dog's master came around the corner with an empty bottle in his hand. The wolves smelled the alcohol lingering off of the old man. The old man was staggering around, indicating that he was tipsy from the alcohol.
"Hmm? You find something?" he said, looking at the wolves with a drunken gaze. Tsume made an escape by leaping out of the alleyway, leaving Luna and Toboe there. Luna stands in front of Toboe in a protective manner, because Tsume wasn't going to help them.
Luna held her ground and showed no fear towards this human and his pet. "Girl… boy… No… you two aren't a boy and a girl…" the old man said, walking towards the two while cocking his rifle. Through his drunken haze, he tried to focus his vision.
As he focused his vision, the boy and girl started to give off the appearance as wolves, the one thing he despised more than anything. He saw a red wolf and a black wolf in front of him. These kids were indeed wolves; his eyes bulged wide.
He lifted his gun up and aimed it at the two wolves. "Shit…" Luna swore through her gritted teeth. She started to shake softly.
Suddenly, Tsume did an aerial attack on the human by dropping down onto him. His gun clattered to the ground. The bluish-black dog tried to bite Tsume's ankle but he dodged it.
Luna and Toboe were shocked that Tsume came back down to save the two other wolves. "Jump! Hurry!" he shouted, still looking at the old human. Luna leaped from wall to wall in order to make it to the roof. Tsume and Toboe followed after her as quickly as they could.
The three wolves ran to another part of town. Tsume was walking as if nothing had happened back there. He didn't want to acknowledge that he just saved two strangers just then. Luna and Toboe walk behind him but he keeps his back turned towards them.
"Who the heck was that? What's up with his dog?" Toboe asked, looking behind them with a slight worried expression. "Don't know. Don't care." Tsume said coldly. Luna rolled her eyes at the grey wolf's attitude. She was technically the same way but at least she's got a caring side.
"Hey, you're Tsume, right? It's amazing that she's the only other wolf I've seen in this city." Toboe said in a bubbly tone. Tsume glanced back at the silent she-wolf, who has yet to speak. He then looked back ahead of him with a scoff, as if he approved nothing of what he saw.
"The crows said you befriend and run wild with the humans!" Toboe said. "You heard wrong? I don't have any friends." Tsume replied distantly. "Ain't that sad for you." Luna commented in a smartass way.
Tsume looked back at the black she-wolf in disgust. Even though she was irritated by this wolf, she was also amused by the scowl look on his face. "I'm Toboe and this is Luna." Toboe introduced, using his thumb to point at her.
"Yeah, um… thanks for saving our asses back there." Luna tells Tsume, even though she feels that he doesn't deserve her thanks. "Get lost, both of you." Tsume growled. He looked back at the two wolves with a cold look on his face.
"I'm getting pissed off. And it only happens when I'm around idiots." Tsume spat at them, making it obvious that he didn't want anything to do with them. "But… can we come with you?" Toboe asked, feeling hurt at what Tsume said. "No. You two can't." Tsume replied, walking away from them. "Psh, fine. I didn't want to go anyway." Luna said, turning away and jumping down from the ledge.
Luna hadn't noticed that she was separated from Toboe. She was too irritated to actually notice. Toboe had no choice but to leave without Luna beside him and he didn't want to bother her about it.
Luna couldn't believe she let that fear overwhelm her to the point of freezing up, something that has never happened before. That would've been the second time she was almost shot by that same hunter.
(Kiba, Hige)
Kiba was now in the prison after getting himself caught by the humans. He did this in hopes of getting closer to the beacon of Paradise. He would do anything to reach Paradise and he wouldn't let Luna and Hige stop him from doing so.
He was lost in thought, trying to not to pay attention to the humans in the cell with him. The white wolf was brought out of his thoughts when the cell door reopens with a loud sound. Kiba looked up and saw Hige walk in, a grin on his face, his hands in his pockets.
"Yo." Hige greeted. "Hige, what in the world are you doing here?" Kiba asked, watching Hige as he sat down next to him. "C'mon, we're friends aren't we? Plus, I was kinda hoping Luna would be here." Hige replied, having one eye shut.
"Coming from you, that sounds kinda fishy. And I didn't see her in here." Kiba says, looking at the dun mexican wolf. It seemed weird to Kiba because he doesn't really know him all that well.
(Luna, Toboe, Tsume)
The sun was starting to set, meaning that Luna would have to find a place to settle down for the evening. She ended up finding herself in a garden that was the backyard of a residence. Luna, not finding this a suitable place to sleep, was about to leave until she saw Toboe standing behind a tree, watching something from afar.
Luna then looked up to the sky and saw a falcon flying in the sky, causing her stomach to growl. Toboe started to go after it. The bird had caught a field mouse that was roaming in the yard and started to eat it.
Toboe leaped at the bird with his wolf jaws open. The bird tried to fly away before the wolf could catch him but Toboe grabbed it by the wing to pull it down. The bird screeched loudly as Toboe started to maul the bird.
Luna's eyes widened as she ran up to the red wolf. "Toboe, what are you doing?" Luna asked, seeing the limp bird on the ground. Toboe looked up at the black she-wolf with a grin on his face, not realizing that he had just killed the bird.
"It's Leara's bird. I'm gonna return it to her." Toboe said bubbly. Luna looked at the bird, she knew that it was dead. There was no sugar coating it. "Toboe… Toboe its-" Luna started, feeling her heart sinking to her stomach.
Footsteps started to make their way towards them. Toboe looked behind him and ran towards her. "Leara!" he said, picking the bird up with both hands. Leara had heard her bird's distressed screeches and came to it's aid.
Toboe ran to her and handed her the dead bird. "Here, it's your bird." he says. Luna walked up to him and she saw the stunned look on the girls face. She saw that her bird had been killed.
When he saw the bird dormant in the girl's arms, the smile on his face faded. He touched it and shook it a little bit. "Hey, wake up." he said, gasping softly. The red wolf soon realized that he had killed the bird by accident. "Toboe?" Luna quietly says, feeling just as guilty even though she hadn't done anything.
"He's dead. My bird's dead." Leara said, not looking up from the bird. "I… I didn't mean to kill him, I swear." Toboe said somberly. He was on the verge of tears when Leara took a step back from the two.
Toboe's legs felt like jelly as the guilt weighed him down. He dropped to his knees, tears falling down his cheeks. "I saw it was yours and… I didn't think it would die." Toboe cried softly, looking up at her while sobbing.
The guilt had caused him to slowly reveal his wolf form to the girl, getting her eyes to widen as big as saucers. Luna had unintentionally revealed her wolf form to the girl. "Aaaarrrroooooo!" Toboe howled, throwing his wolf head back up all the way.
Luna didn't howl though, she only let her wolf head drop with her wolf ears lowered down all the way. The girl couldn't move at all after what she had just witnessed. The two kids she had met were wolves.
From above, Tsume had seen the two wolves again and gasped at what was happening below. He rushed down there in a sprint and grabbed the two wolves by their neck hide, causing them to whimper as he pulled them away. The girl was left there, confused, and stunned.
It was now night time. Tsume had drug the two wolves into his hideout to keep out of sight of the humans. For a while, no one said a word. What could they say?
Luna stayed adjacent from the other two wolves, her back to them. She felt guilty for what had happened with Leara. She knew that trying to befriend a human was a bad idea. She would see them as monsters, but truthfully, they aren't monsters at all.
"I never meant to kill anything…" Toboe quietly said. Luna turned her head slightly to look at him. "Granny she… I was at the entrance to the dome. She was always so nice to me. She had told me that when I was very little, my eyes were barely open. She gave these bracelets to me and I've been with her ever since." Toboe said, holding out his wrist to better showcase the bracelets he was wearing.
It made sense to Luna why Toboe was so friendly with that girl. She only sighed and looked at the wall again. "You mean she raised you as a pet? You were tamed by that human to be her little lap dog. I guarantee that you were also a human's pet, Luna." Tsume said, scowling at the two of them.
"Shut the hell up. I was nobody's pet." Luna spat at him, glaring at him for a second. "I wasn't either! I just… wanted to protect her but…" Toboe said, his voice breaking. "She threw you out because she found out you were a wolf." Tsume said, looking out a window that he was perched on.
"She died…" Toboe replied, "She died…" Toboe started to cry with his knees pulled up to his chest, his face buried into them. "I… made her die." Toboe said, his voice cracking. Luna closed her eyes and laid down on her side, her back still facing them. It hurt her to hear him say that but she didn't need to pry into his business.
(Kiba, Hige)
A few hours went by. Kiba and Hige had nothing else to do other than get some sleep. The floor which they slept on was cold underneath them but the cell didn't have any beds that either of them could sleep on. The only thing they had was maroon colored blankets.
A shrill, ear piercing sound had woken up Kiba. He felt a sudden shift in the air. "Hige, do you feel that?" he whispered. "Feel what?" Hige replied groggily. "There's something happening." Kiba said, feeling whatever it was getting stronger. "So, do you wanna bail?" Hige asked.
"Yeah." Kiba agreed. Both of them jumped up from the floor and went to the cage door. Kiba was about to bend the bars like last time however Hige tapped him on the shoulder. Kiba looked up at Hige and watched as he pulled a key from his jacket.
After the cage door was unlocked, both wolves ran down the hallway. They came across an unopened vent, which Kiba opened without an issue. "Let's go." he said, crawling through the vent. Hige followed after him.
(Darcia, Cher)
In the lab, something had gone awry. The siren was blaring loudly, indicating that something was wrong. It grabbed the attention of Cher, the scientist that Luna and Hige had seen earlier, and a few other scientists that worked with her.
Cher bolted into the room where Cheza was being held in. To her relief, Cheza was exactly how she was. "Don't worry, the light system here is separate from the other facilities." Cher said, smiling a little.
"I know…" a deep, menacing voice said from behind the blonde haired woman. Shivers were sent up her spine. She turns around to the source of the voice. Two of the scientists she worked with had fallen to the ground.
There, behind Cher, stood a tall man that wore a dark purple gown with trousers, long sleeved shirt, black boots, and a whit mask with his left eye covered with a black eye-patch. His blue-grey hair was wild, giving it a spiky, punk look. Just his presence was menacing enough.
"You have no need for Cheza, do you?" the man said, walking towards her. "Who are you?" Cher asked nervously. "Everyone's resting now. You should rest for a while…" he said as if he didn't hear what she asked. The man slowly took off his mask and opened his left eye. It was a wolf's eye.
Cher immediately fainted at the sight of the man's wolf eye. He puts the mask back on and walks towards the flower maiden. "It's been a long time, Cheza." the man said. Cheza was the flower maiden with light skin, which made her look so delicate as any flower would. Her hair was short and light pink. Her eyes were red/pink. She wore a blue-purple bodysuit with her shoulders, knees, center of chest, and her abdomen exposed in diamond shapes.
"Can you sense my presence? Though your eyes cannot see me." the man said, draining the orb she was in. "You have nothing to fear now, you're awake now." he says, catching the flower maiden in his arms. He wanted her so he could find his way into Paradise.
(Kiba, Hige)
When they reached the other side of the vent, Kiba kicked it open. It had led them to a ravine outside. The two wolves jump down from the vent and start to run down the ravine.
Soon enough, they came to a large bridge like structure that was accompanied by a large, bright light. However, the two stopped running abruptly when they spotted someone walking across that bridge.
They see that same tall masked man that was carrying Cheza in his arms bridal style. The two wolves stared at the figure in bewilderment and the figure looked back down at them menacingly. They had no clue of what to do here.
