(Luna, Tsume, Kiba, Hige, Toboe)

It had been three days since the pack left that village. As they ran through the blizzard in their wolf forms, no one spoke a single word to one another because of what had gone down in that village. Luna was still having a bit of more trouble keeping up.

They decided to take a rest stop in a barren cave to let her rest for a little bit. It was big enough for the five of them to fit into. They all sat in human form.

Luna sat on the right side of Toboe with one leg stretched out in front of her and the other pulled up to her chest. Her arm was laying across her lap as she let her head rest against the rock wall.

Kiba was standing at the mouth of the cave. Tsume sat on a small rock ledge that was in the cave. He was sitting next to Luna. Hige was sitting on Toboe's left.

"Oh man… I sure am hungry." Toboe sighed, his legs pulled up to his chest. "Yeah, you're not kidding." Hige agreed in a lazy tone. Luna opened her eyes and looked at them. She saw that they were just as tired as she was. She was also hungry, having not eaten anything for at least six days.

"How long has it been since we ate last?" Toboe asked. "I don't know. I guess it's been about three days." Hige answered. "You're lucky you even got to eat, Hige. I am starving." Luna said, feeling her own stomach whine in protest.

"Would you three stop with the whining already? It's only been three stupid days." Tsume grumbled, not liking our petty bickering. "Yeah, but we would've found food if we hadn't left that village. Not to mention, Luna needs it because she's hurt."Toboe said, looking at the cranky grey wolf.

"We can survive a lot longer if we bask in the moonlight." Kiba piped in, making the other four wolves to look up. They were all flustered at what Kiba said because they don't know how a wolf can survive for days on end with only the moonlight.

"I traveled a full month that way. And when I did that…" Kiba says. "Did you say a month?!" Hige exclaimed, jumping up a bit. Luna felt her stomach quietly growl again and she sighed in defeat. She did need to eat something in order to get her strength back and without it, it'd make her weaker physically. "It should stop snowing anytime now. Once it does and the night draws closer, the moon will be out." Kiba continued.

"Well, if worse comes to worse, we can always eat each other." Tsume says with a smirk. The others glance over at him. "You can't be serious." Luna scoffed. She found it ridiculous that Tsume's suggesting cannibalism just to survive.

"Sure I am. We can start off with the runt since he's the weakest one. And of course there's always porky over there?" Tsume continued, purposefully leaving Kiba and Luna out of the question. "Wait a minute, why aren't Kiba and Luna on the menu?" Toboe asked, sounding a bit irritated. Tsume leaned forward and looked from Luna to Kiba.

"Because the guy's totally full of it and she was dumb enough to get herself shot by those humans." Tsume replied coldly. Luna scoffed at him. "Go on. Call me dumb again. I dare you." Luna said, having enough of Tsume's attitude.

Toboe, seeing that fighting wouldn't get them anywhere, stood up and tried to break up the fight. "Guys, come on. Don't fight. You guys are only hungry; you don't mean it!" the red wolf says. The last thing that they needed to be doing was fighting.

Hige had been sitting back and listened to the petty argument, a look of boredom on his face. All he wanted was to find food. He seemed to get his wish because a delicious scent hit him in the face, causing him to perk up. The dun mexican wolf stands up in his wolf form and takes off running into the snow, leaving the others dumbfounded.

The others soon followed him and they came across a deer carcass that was no more than 5 miles away. Everyone but Tsume stood in their wolf forms. Luna stared down at the deer carcass, her stomach growling even more, her notched wolf ears raised in interest.

"I wonder where it came from. It's all alone out here." Toboe said quietly, his wolf ears lowered some. Hige lowers his wolf head down to the carcass and sniffs it. "You going to eat that?" Tsume questioned, disgusted.

"Yeah, aren't you?" Hige answered, taking a bite of the meat. Soon, they start to devour the carcass ravenously. Luna got a little bit more than the others because she needed it. Besides, it would be the best thing she's eaten in a while. The wolves ate the carcass until there was almost nothing left of it, it's rib cage was exposed and the inside of it was hollow.

"You know what? This actually tastes pretty good. It's just a little bit tougher than hamburger." Toboe said, panting with his wolf tongue hanging out. He looks back at Tsume with slightly widened eyes and says, "Hey, c'mon have some Tsume. We still have a long way we have to go."

"Go? Go where exactly? To that Paradise place? Off in the direction you smelled the flower." Tsume coldly says. Luna glanced at the grey wolf, her yellow wolf eyes locked onto his. She still had a piece of meat in her jaws when he said that. She swallowed it and licked her chomps.

Kiba, Hige, Luna, and Toboe all sit in their human forms. "Tsume." Toboe says, looking at the grey wolf with a slightly saddened look. Kiba was kneeled behind the deer, keeping his mouth closed as he didn't have anything to say.

Luna didn't believe in Paradise either; she gave up on it a long time ago. Unlike Tsume, she wasn't making it known to everyone within earshot of her. Nobody knows if the place is even real or has any proof of its existence. For all they knew, they'd be chasing their tails and go absolutely nowhere.

"Kiba, what's Paradise even like?" Toboe asked the white wolf, looking at him with an inquisitive look in his eyes. "It's an amazing place! The flowers are always in bloom and the food is everywhere! Oh and there's beautiful babes all over the place." Hige said, having a dreamy look on his face. He even made a flirtatious glance over at Luna, who only stared at him with an opposed look.

"You mean it?!" Toboe said, jumping up with a smile on his face. Hige saw the look on Luna's face and immediately got the hint. "Oh… I hope so at least." he said, chuckling nervously. Toboe's excitement immediately depleted. "You don't know…" Toboe whined.

"Paradise is just a totally unfounded fairytale. If not, then it's some idiot's dream." Tsume scoffed. "So why the hell'd you come with us then? You didn't have to, y'know." Luna asked him. Toboe gets to his knees and faces the disgruntled grey wolf.

"We'll never know unless we look for it." Toboe said to him. The answer from the red wolf didn't sit too well with Tsume and his glare towards the pack increased. "How far are you three going to let this guy string you along? How far are you going to follow him in pursuit of a place that doesn't even exist to begin with?" Tsume spat, the tone in his voice becoming more agitated.

Kiba didn't say anything to Tsume, only stared at him. When nobody answered his question, he growled at them with disgust, "That's it, I can't put up with you losers anymore." He then turns away from the other four wolves and starts to walk away from them.

"Tsume!" Toboe exclaimed, standing up. "Where are you going by yourself?" Hige called, raising up a bit from the deer. "To look for hell, I guess." Tsume coldly replied. Kiba didn't want to put up with the stubborn grey wolf either but he didn't let his rage overtake him.

"Suit yourself." the white wolf says, finally speaking. Tsume stopped walking and looked back at Kiba with a cold glare in his golden greenish eyes. Tsume didn't want to hear what Kiba had to say about this new world; it wasn't his place to tell him.

"Kiba." Toboe said, turning to look at Kiba. "Remember, those rules that you had back in the city, don't apply way out here." Kiba continued. "It really pisses me off when a smug kid like you has that know it all look on their face but they're actually clueless." Tsume spat back at Kiba. Kiba only narrowed his blue eyes at the grey wolf.

Tsume then scoffed angrily at them before walking ahead of them. "Tsume! Come on, don't leave now! We finally made some friends!" Toboe called out to him. Tsume only kept on walking away from the small group. "Play with your buddies without me. I'm out of here." Tsume spat, his image getting smaller the more he walked on.

Luna sighed and shook her head in disbelief. "If you ask me, he's acting more like a pup than us." Hige sighed, opposed to how Tsume's attitude was thrown at them. "Don't say that. I like Tsume. He's nice." Toboe said, looking ahead.

"Nice isn't the word I'd use." Luna said, seeing through Tsume. Toboe looked down at the black she-wolf with a slight angered look. "Let's go after him, Luna." he suggested. Luna's eyes widened slightly.

She believed that Tsume was done with Paradise as well as being with them. She didn't want to go with him to change Tsume's mind however, she wasn't as cold hearted as the grey wolf. With a sigh, she pushed herself up to her feet.

"Fine. Let's go." Luna said, walking around Hige to stand beside Toboe. "Are you sure you can run?" Toboe asked, checking on her arm. "I'm fine, Toboe. Don't worry about me." she said, finding the throbbing in her arm to have ceased.

Luna looked down at Hige and Kiba for a minute. "We'll be back soon." she tells them both. Luna and Toboe take off in the direction Tsume went down in their wolf forms. Luna had no trouble with running.

(Luna, Tsume, Toboe)

The two wolves end up finding Tsume just a few miles ahead. He walked in his human form with his hands on his hips. He was speed walking this time.

"Hey! Tsume!" Toboe called, running to catch up with him. They catch up with him and walk behind him. "What're you so mad for? Come back, would you?" Toboe said persistently. Tsume bared his teeth a little at the red wolf.

"Shut the hell up!" Tsume yelled, not looking back at them. "Hey, we come out here to get you and you want to play the pissy lone wolf?" Luna spat, looking directly at the grey wolf, "Besides, you're going to get yourself killed out here!"

"You don't know shit! We're always alone so what difference does it make! So you shut the hell up too!" Tsume shouted at Luna, becoming more and more pissed by the second. Toboe tried to reach for his arm but Tsume turned and pushed the red wolf back, making him fall to the ground. "Stop following me!" he shouted at them.

Luna immediately got down to Toboe's side to make sure he was alright. She then looked up at the grey wolf with a look of anger. Tsume, for a moment, looked remorseful at doing what he just did.

"Both of you don't follow me." he said before he runs off in his wolf form down the mountain, leaving Luna and Toboe behind. Luna sighs and gets to Toboe's eye level. The red wolf was holding himself up with his hands.

"You okay, Toboe?" Luna asked, her eyes softening to a caring gaze. Toboe looked back at Luna and smiled a little bit. "Yeah. I'm fine." he replied to her. Luna stood back up and extended her hand down to him to help him up to his feet.

He accepts the gesture and takes Luna's hand. She pulls him up to his feet. "C'mon. That idiot is going to get himself killed out there. Let's go after him." Luna suggested, having an uncomfortable feeling about this place.

Tsume had seemed to spend most of his time in the city so he didn't understand the dangers of being out in the open where anything could happen. Luna had survived in the vast and open world all her life, she knew what it's like out there and always kept her guard up.

A few hours go by the two wolves. The sun started to set while they were searching for Tsume. The area that they were in was another abandoned city that was sunken into the ground thanks to years of neglect. Time had also eaten away at it. There was also no snow on the ground whatsoever, just dirt and sand.

Luna could tell by the scent that it wasn't a nice place to be. "Tsume! Tsume!" Toboe called, cupping his hands around his mouth to call for Tsume. There was no response. "C'mon, he might be in the town here." Luna said, walking ahead towards the town.

"Okay." Toboe said, following after her. The two wolves suddenly hear a sharp click underneath Toboe's boot. "Huh?" Luna said, turning in the direction of the sound. Toboe lifted his boot to see what was causing the sound. Toboe had stepped on something metal that was buried underneath the ground.

They thought nothing of it and continued to walk towards the town in their wolf forms. They were going to find Tsume whether he liked it or not. Toboe trotted ahead of the black she-wolf, who kept a walking pace with her wolf ears lowered a little bit.

Meanwhile with Tsume, he hid in one of the buildings to get away from any signs of life. He kicked a stray, empty can that laid in front of him. "Aaaarrroooo!" the sound of Toboe's howl caught his attention. When he walked over to a window, he saw none other than Luna and Toboe standing on debris that was from an aged buildings in their human forms.

"Tsume! Stop being dumb! Quit hiding!" Luna called, catching a whiff of his scent. Tsume saw them calling for him however, he wanted nothing to do with them.

From outside of that city, something was happening with that piece of metal that Toboe had stepped on. Turns out, there was some old military robot buried underneath the ground and what Toboe had stepped on seemed to trigger it. As it broke through the sandy ground, a large puff of smoke rose to the sky.

Luna and Toboe looked in that direction and saw the smoke first hand. Toboe sighed and said, "Wonder what that's about." Luna turned around to walk down the debris. "I don't know, Toboe." she replied, seeming to give up on finding Tsume.

Tsume had turned around to walk away from the two other wolves. That was until a shine of light brought him back. He looked out of the window and narrowed his eyes to get a better look at what was causing it.

Then, a gun appeared from underneath the debris. It aimed directly at Luna and Toboe. Tsume's eyes widened in horror. He subtly didn't want them to get hurt therefore, he jumped out of the building and started to sprint in their direction.

Luna and Toboe stand on the debris in their wolf forms, unaware of the danger that was below them. Tsume ran behind them in his wolf form just before they were shot at again. Tsume ended up saving Luna and Toboe yet again.

(Cher and Hubb)

Back in Freeze City, Cher had gotten out of the hospital a few days prior. She and Hubb were out to dinner in a fancy restaurant. Hubb went on about how Quent almost shot down a human but wasn't convinced Quent had almost shot another one of those wolves.

"He almost shot the guy in front of me. What an annoying guy." Hubb said, picking up a wine glass that was half way filled with red wine, "He keeps on rambling about how those boys and that girl are wolves and is too stubborn to listen to what I say."

Cher looked down at the glass of red wine that sat in front of her. "Hubb, there's a favor I need to ask you." she said, pulling out a key that was to her office. She places it in his hand. "Water my plants inside the room for me while I'm gone. I'm taking a vacation." she tells him.

"Why at a time like this? Is your body alright now?" Hubb asked. "That's why I'm taking it while I can." Cher said. "But what about the girl? She made you give up on your social life." Hubb replied as a reminder.

"They can manage without me." Cher said, running her index finger on the top of the wine glass, "The lab… or this world. I wonder if there really is a meaning to what I'm doing from the start. Everything just seems like an illusion. Is it really the truth? It's difficult to talk about it, I guess." She looked up at Hubb with a smile.

"Wolves may actually exist." Hubb says, catching Cher by surprise. "Hubb…" she starts. "Cher, that dog we saw was…" Hubb said. Cher only looked away from her ex-husband. "Just hear me out. There may even be others." Hubb says, thinking of what Quent said to him.

"Just stop it." Cher spat, not wanting to hear anymore about this, "I don't want to hear it anymore." She stands up from the table and walks over to Hubb's side. She leans down and kisses him for a second and thanked him for the meal. Afterwards, she walked out of the building, purse in hand.

Hubb went after her however, she had already left in a car. He could only watch as she rode away in the car.

(Luna, Tsume, Toboe)

Back with the wolves, night had fallen upon them as they moved through the gritty, modern slum that was once a city. The moon was full and it's light illuminated everything in its path. They had no idea where Kiba and Hige were at during this time because they weren't going to wait for them by that deer.

Tsume had been shot by that robot, grazing his leg bad enough to where blood dripped onto the pavement below them. He was limping badly on it and grunted from the stinging pain. Toboe caught up with him and looked up at him with concern.

"Are you okay?" he asked, only to get pushed back behind Tsume. "Stay away!" he growled. Luna walked on Tsume's left but not far enough to bother him. They came to a dead end and looked down. It was a long drop, like an incessant pit.

Luna felt a shiver run up her spine. Her instincts told her to look behind her and she did so. Sure enough, she could hear something metallic coming after them.

"There's something coming." she tells the grey wolf and the red wolf. Before they could look, the robot had appeared. It saw the three wolves standing at the ledge in their wolf forms. It immediately shot at them without a second thought.

They all jumped down to another level to evade the airborne bullets and they hid behind some debris so the robot couldn't see them. Luna looked around the broken wall debris and saw what was chasing them. The robot was much bigger than they had thought. It had a large gun attached to the front of it. Tsume and Toboe were also shocked by the size of the military robot.

"What the heck is that thing?!" Toboe exclaimed, keeping his voice low. "A military robot… We can't let it see us." Luna answered, feeling her heart hammer in her chest. Tsume felt the pain in his leg shoot up again, causing him to grunt with his teeth clenched.

Luna and Toboe glanced down at the injury Tsume had. "Damn it… the stench of this place is starting to make me sick." he growled, trying to cover up his pain.

The grey wolf only pushes himself up to his feet with a pained grunt. He starts to limp away in his wolf form with Luna and Toboe following him in their wolf forms as well. Tsume had to keep his wolf hind leg up a little because it hurt to put weight on it. Luna also had to partly hold up her wolf foreleg since she was still recovering from being shot.

(Hige, Kiba)

With Kiba and Hige, they had made it to the remains of a rundown building. The full moon overlooked the remains of that city. The two of them laid down on the roof in their human forms with their arms behind their heads as they stargazed.

They start to relax idyllically thanks to the moonlight. Hige glanced over at Kiba, who had a look of relaxation on his face. "You know, I was thinking, maybe we should just ditch that guy. It's not like he had to come with us." Hige says, beginning the stimulating conversation between the three of them.

"Good point." Kiba replies, still gazing up at the stars. "I don't know. That guy has always been giving me a bad vibe from the start unlike Luna has." Hige remarks. "He's just different that's all. I don't think Luna's anything like Tsume in terms of having someone else to blame. That's pretty darn lucky if you ask me. Give him a break, he'll come around." Kiba retorted.

Hige sits up and glances down at the white wolf with a furrowed eyebrow. "Okay, so what the hell is up with you anyway? You talk like you got an answer for just about everything. What happened to you before all of this went down?" Hige asked him. Kiba's soft grin faded away at that question.

"Nothing much. Nothing much at all." Kiba says, seeing his own past in his mind. He was reminded of when he was living with a shaman that had found him as a pup. They were sitting by a fire with the red moon above them. The shaman would play some etheral music in the background.

(Tsume, Luna, Toboe)

The three wolves were fast walking away as fast as they could. Luna often looked behind them to see where the robot was. Sure enough, it was in the distance.

While walking, Luna didn't expect for Tsume to save them yet again from being shot down. She thought that he didn't want anything to do with them. So the fact that he saved them surprised her.

After a bit, the robot was still after them; this time at top speed. They couldn't keep running from it. They'd have to find cover.

They made it to another steep cliff and the robot caught up with them instantly. The robot fired a missile at the three wolves, causing the ground below them to crumble into a thousand pieces. The three of them ended up falling down the incessant hole below them. Luna and Toboe yelled out on the way down.

(Kiba, Hige)

They had stopped stargazing after about an hour of doing so. Tsume, Luna, and Toboe had been gone for a great amount of time. They had no indication of where they were.

The wind blew gently passed the two wolves. It caused their scents to become airborne. Hige catches it instantly and he sniffs the air. Kiba had tuned out what Hige said and started to have flashbacks of his past again.

He takes a step forward and hears something crunch under his shoe. When he lifted his shoe to see what it was, he saw that he stepped on something metal along with an old warning sign that read, "Danger! Keep out!"

Both Kiba and Hige kneel down for a moment to inspect it. "Hm. must've been a military base around here." Hige said, taking a logical guess. Kiba could feel his instincts telling him to leave that area.

If there was a warning, that meant that something was after them. He then turns around to head in the direction of where the scent was coming from. "Hey! Wait up! Ugh, what a drag." Hige sighed as he started to run after Kiba.

(Tsume, Luna, Toboe)

Luna didn't realize that the fall had rendered her unconscious like Tsume. When she woke up, her vision was blurry but she could make out that she was in a cave. "Agh… wha… what the hell?" she groaned, forcing herself to sit up. With her head throbbing, she had to hold it with her hand.

She glanced over to her right and saw Toboe licking Tsume's lick wound with care. She became wide awake at that point. "Toboe? What're you doing?" she asked him. "Taking care of his wound." he replied before going back to what he was doing.

Luna could only look at him with slight confusion because she didn't know if Tsume would even like him doing that. Not a couple of minutes later, Tsume started to stir. Luna jumped back a little bit to avoid getting the end of Tsume's wrath.

When the grey wolf woke up, he saw that Toboe was licking his wound. "Stop that!" he shouted, pushing the pup away from him, "Don't ever touch me." Luna looked at the mouth of the cave, sitting in the fetal position. Toboe looked down in embarrassment.

"What's it doing?" Tsume asked, unsure of the robot's position. "It's not after us. Looks like we gave it the slip." Toboe replied, also looking outside. Luna didn't move from her spot and sighed.

Tsume laid back down on his back with his eyes closed; his leg throbbing a little bit. Luna had pushed the loose bangs behind her ear, revealing the notch in her ears. She hated having them; it only reminded her of the sin she committed.

Toboe saw the scars on the older wolves and his eyes widened in amazement. "Whoa… you guys are covered in scars." he says, "The ones on your ears, Luna, they look really cool like yours Tsume!" Toboe says with a smile. Luna covered her ears back up and looked away from the pup with her eyes shut from anger.

Tsume turned to his side so that he was facing away from the pup. Both Luna and Tsume have something in common but neither of them spoke up about it. Luna's green eyes open and she looks back outside of the cave.

Outside of the cave was nothing more than an icy wasteland that no human could ever live in. Luna wondered how many lives were taken in this land. "I wonder what happened to Kiba and Hige. They gotta be worried about us by now." Toboe said, looking back outside.

"I don't trust anyone." Tsume said, making Luna look back at him in silence, "And with that, no one has to trust me. That way it keeps things nice and simple." "You and me both… it's hard to find people you can fully trust. They only stab you in the back." Luna said, not opposed to Tsume's remark.

Luna's comment made it clear that she also had trust issues when it comes to other individuals. She trusted her instincts to not befriend Leara back in that city because she knows exactly how humans are towards wolves when they see them first hand. They see them as bloodthirsty monsters that kill anything in their way; which is not true in the slightest.

"I don't care. I still like you guys." Toboe said to the two older wolves. Luna looked down and sighed, trying to clear her head. Tsume kept staring at the wall in front of him with a blank, aloof look on his face.

Then, the distant sound of heavy, metallic footsteps descending down the icy mountain slope entered their ears. Luna gasped and jumped up along with Tsume and Toboe, who looked out of the cave mouth.

The robot had found the three wolves. It climbed down the mountain and pointed it's gun towards the cave they were in.

"Ah damn!" Tsume growled, trying to stand up. However, Luna and Toboe held him back as he was still bleeding from his leg. "No, Tsume! You'll get yourself shot and killed!" Luna scolded, holding Tsume by the shoulders.

"Well, at least you two will have something to eat." Tsume replied, smirking a bit. "Tsume, no! You're being ridiculous!" Toboe spat, standing up to his feet. He faces the older wolves, his fists clenched together.

"Wait, Toboe! What the hell are you doing?" Luna exclaimed. "I'll act as a decoy and distract him while you two get away!" the red wolf answered. He then turned around to run outside, ready to defend Luna and Tsume.

"Don't do it!" Tsume shouted, his eyes widening. Toboe stops at the entrance of the cave and looks back at the two older wolves with a soft yet reassuring smile. Luna felt scared for the kid because he could get shot by that robot whilst distracting it.

"You guys can trust me. It's okay." he says to them. Toboe then runs outside and the robot immediately spots him. It starts to shoot at him as he runs by it, each bullet missing him.

Luna helped Tsume out of the cave with his arm draped over her shoulders. Hadn't that robot found them, he wouldn't have wanted her help but because of the adrenaline, he allowed it. The robot turned it's metal head to look at the older wolves.

They gasped as they realized that they were caught. They ran in the opposite direction from Toboe and they limped away from the robot as it started to shoot at them with it's never ending supply of bullets.

They ran inside a narrow cavern in their wolf forms. The robot hadn't stopped following them; it was only about 8 feet from behind them. When it spotted them, it shot down the ice wall that they were hiding behind. "Run! Go, now!" Tsume shouted, hearing the robot getting closer to them.

The robot had finally shot another missile towards the wolves direction. The force of the missile was so strong that they were blown away a few feet in their human forms. Luna landed on her stomach, on her sore arm, making her shout from the pain.

Tsume had landed on his right side with a pained grunt. For a moment, he didn't get up. When they heard the sound of the robot's large gun being cocked back, they quickly sat up. It towered above Tsume as he held his profusely bleeding leg.

Luna then felt something inside of her take over; the protective instincts that remained dormant inside of her for the longest time. She jumped up with a grunt and jumped in front of Tsume in her wolf form, snarling at the robot with her wolf fangs bared.

She stood in a fighting stance, her wolf legs spread apart and her wolf tail sticking straight up. "Luna! What're you doing?! You're going to get yourself killed!" Tsume shouted, seeing the she-wolf's courageous actions. Luna ignored the grey wolf's scolding and continued to growl at the robot, ready to take the bullet for him.

She has done this before and she isn't scared to defend her own kind; especially the wolves in her pack. Then, Luna and Tsume hear the sound of Kiba's howl. It echoed through the icy walls that surrounded them.

Kiba bolts towards the robot and jumps on it with a loud snarl. He latched onto the computer screen and hangs on. The robot swung the white wolf off.

When Kiba landed, he bared his wolf fangs at it for a moment before turning around to run. The robot watched as the white wolf ran up the mountain face. It then started to go after him, leaving the black she-wolf and the grey wolf alone.

Luna and Tsume watch in shock that Kiba has come to save them. They look at each other for a brief moment. Tsume was a bit irritated that Luna would put herself at risk to save him like that but that mattered little at this time.

"Tsume! Luna! This way!" Hige called from above. They looked up at the tan mexican wolf, who was standing on an icy ledge in his human form. They followed the tan mexican wolf up the steep icy wall.

(Kiba)

While Luna and Tsume made a run for it, Kiba was still running up the mountain in his wolf form. He was leaping from wall to wall while being shot at. As he made it to another ledge, the robot shoots another missile at him, causing the ledge to be obliterated.

However, it didn't stop the white wolf. Kiba had leapt out of the smoke with a large ice cycle in his wolf jaws. The robot had shot him in his leg.

Kiba lands on the robot and drives the large ice cycle into the robot, causing it to spark up from the damage. After that, Kiba had leapt off of the robot and onto another ledge. He watched as the robot fell from the icy cliff and onto a bottom level.

Despite the fall and the ice cycle being stabbed into it, the robot had gotten back up and started to shoot more bullets at him with a gun in the neck area. Kiba immediately jumped off of the ledge and started to run up the steep mountain face with the bright moonlight shining beside him.

The bullets had damaged the ice mountain so badly that it actually caused water to flood the area the robot was in, taking it away under it's icy depths.

By the time morning arrived, the sun was already starting to come into the light blue and yellowish green sky. The robot, being badly damaged due to the flood, had bursted out of the fresh snow and ice. It's vision was very glitchy but it had become clear enough to see the white wolf standing aways from it.

As hard as the robot was concentrating on the white wolf, it was weakened. Soon enough, it's power gets completely shut off, no longer able to work again. The sun lit behind the robot, giving it an eerie glow to it. It was a sign that the robot would have to stay there forever, to be one with the rest of the dying world.

(Luna, Tsume, Kiba, Hige, Toboe)

While all that was going on, the rest of the pack was waiting for Kiba to return while he dealt with the robot. Luna had her back facing the others, looking at the rising sun. She closed her eyes and breathed in the cold, frosty air.

Kiba then limps his way over to where they were at in his human form, catching all of their attention. "Hey, you okay?" Hige asked him. "It's just a scratch." Kiba answered vaguely, stopping next to Hige.

Luna turned around with her back facing the sun. "Psh, yeah right. There has been nothing but trouble with you ever since Luna and I had met you." Hige scoffed. "I knew it. Well, I wasn't sure but… I had a feeling that you guys might've come back for us." Toboe said, looking at the ground.

"Yeah, well, don't get used to it." Hige says. "Why'd you do that?" Tsume asked. He was the only one sitting on the ground with his back facing them. The four of them look at the grey wolf.

"Why did you two risk your own asses to save me? Luna, you should've ran like I told you to. And do go off and say it's because we're friends." Tsume grumbles, still acknowledging what Luna and Kiba did.

"Tsume, it was my primal instinct to protect you from an unfair death." Luna said, not regretting standing between Tsume and that robot. "Like Luna, it was just instinct." Kiba said, agreeing with Luna.

Tsume scowled at them and tried to stand up. But when he tried taking a step, he was about to fall. Toboe quickly rushed over to his aid and draped the grey wolf's arm over his shoulders to help him walk. Tsume didn't oppose Toboe's kind gesture.

Tsume looked back at Kiba and Luna for a moment before he and Toboe walked on. Luna then waits a minute before she starts walking behind them. Kiba and Hige follow suit.

The five wolves walk through the snowy plain in their wolf forms. They didn't say a word to one another while moving out. Luna was still limping a bit on her wolf foreleg but she was able to keep up with them.

If that encounter said anything, it said that anything could happen to this pack of misfits while they were on their journey.
