They all make it back to the sandy city that they were in before Cheza was taken. They stood on the outskirts of it, trying to figure out where they should go. Tsume and Luna both agreed that going after Cheza was suicide.

Kiba seemed to be the only one who really cared about getting Cheza back. Unlike them, they couldn't figure out why he was so attracted to that flower maiden. Luna had a bit of a soft spot for her but she didn't want to risk her skin.

Luna next to where Tsume was, who was standing at the end of the sandy pier. She crossed her arms over the wall of the sandy pier, looking ahead of her at the terrain.

"That's where that noble took Cheza, right?" Toboe wondered, facing the east, his back to them. He was standing atop the sandy pier railing. "Yeah, he did," Kiba said. "That lady said Darcia's Keep is in the West," Luna said.

That made sense. She would be there and Kiba would make sure they'd track her down. He would do what he could to take Darcia down to get Cheza back.

"So where are you guys going?" Blue asked, sitting on the bench that was towards the back of the sandy pier. "We're going to Paradise," Hige replied, sitting with her. Blue looked up in confusion at him.

She'd never heard of this place before. "Paradise?" she questioned. "Yeah, it's something every wolf has to do at least once," Hige responded.

Luna rolled her eyes at this. Tsume rolled his eyes too. Both wolves wanted to keep their distance from that place.

"Aren't you going?" Hige asked Blue, who looked down with her eyes shut. "Sounds interesting, but I can't go," she answered.

They knew she wouldn't be able to go because she's only half wolf, so her being accepted into Paradise aren't high. "Well, if you're not going, then I'm not going either," Hige replied promptly. Luna looked over her shoulder to look at the Mexican wolf.

"Hige, you can't just leave us because there's another girl here. She's more than welcome to stay as that human's pet," she said to him. Luna knew she didn't have a say in that matter, but she had to get her thoughts out.

Blue had been domesticated her entire life, so she wouldn't adjust well in the wild with full-blooded wolves. "Luna's right. It isn't too late to go back to your human," Kiba agreed with her.

Hige looked from Luna to Kiba, dumbfounded that they would even say that. "What're you guys saying?" he asked.

Luna looked back in front of her, she was only giving her opinion on Blue. Toboe turned and hopped down from the sandy pier stone railing. "We need to keep moving forward right?" Hige asked, standing up from the bench. He fistbumped the air with a clenched fist.

"I can see right through you, Porky," Tsume says with a chuckle. Toboe leaned back on the ledge, using his elbows to hold him up. "Now if only Cheza was with us," Toboe muttered.

Hige rushed over and slapped him on the back of the head hard. "Ow! Oh..." he groaned, rubbing the back of his head. "I told you not to say that!" Hige whisper yelled, glaring at the red wolf.

Luna rolled her eyes, scoffing openly. "Okay! Now that things are settled, lets get a move on!" Hige declared, pointing to the East, "Onto Paradise!" "We're going this way," Kiba said, pointing in the West.

"Huh?" Hige said, pulling back. "Paradise isn't that way," Toboe said. "But Darcia's keep is," Kiba replied, lowering his hand. Luna turned around to face him, eyebrows raised.

If they were going to get anywhere, they had to get Cheza first. "Is that where Cheza is?" Toboe asked. Kiba looked over his shoulder and gave a single nod.

His pride would be the one thing to keep him going. Nobody else knew if they'd be same. While the others started to run down the pier, Hige extended a hand to Blue, gesturing to her to come with them.

She thought about it and made the decision to go with them. She couldn't go back to hunting them down; it just didn't sit right with her. She didn't want to hunt her own kind down.

The pack of six got a move on from that city. They all ran in a mix-matched of different colored wolves; a white wolf, a grey wolf, a black she-wolf, a red wolf, a tan wolf, and a dark blue she-wolf.

They made their way to Darcia's keep, the sun warming their fur. They didn't have time for making the decision of Blue coming, they had to move on.

Time was running short for the pack. There was no doubt that they let it pass by them in the blink of an eye.

They had ran out of that desert-like landscape and entered a snowier wasteland that didn't have much of anything. There was nothing in front of them but incessant snow and ice.

When they came to a rock face, they stopped in their tracks. "Where are we?" Toboe asked, looking around, his wolf ears raised.

Kiba sniffed the air, raising his wolf head up. "Nothing here. We must've gotten turned around," Kiba said, "Hige, can you get anything?"

Hige puts his wolf nose to the ground and sniffed around. "Aw, man! There's not a damn thing here," the Mexican wolf grumbled. Tsume growled, stepping forward to the white wolf.

"I should've known you'd get us turned around!" he snarled, baring his wolf fangs at him. Kiba snarled back, his hackles raised up. Luna shook her wolf head, knowing that fighting wouldn't lead to anywhere.

Luna got in between the two male wolves, raising her wolf tail to show her dominance. "Knock it off, you two! Fighting isn't going to help us. Let's figure out what direction we need to go," she barked, baring her wolf fangs at them.

Normally, she wouldn't get involved in an argument, but this was an exception. Toboe walked up to them, the bracelets on his right fore leg jingling. "She's right guys. We don't need to fight," he said, dropping his wolf ears.

Knowing Toboe, he wasn't one to fight and didn't like it when his pack mates fought. Tsume and Kiba huffed at each other before turning away from each other.

"Now that's settled, how do we get over this?" Hige asked, tilting his head to the right. "There's not a chance in hell that we can climb over that," Tsume added.

"Are you saying that we should go back the way we came? If that's it, I swear I'll kill you," Luna said, giving Tsume a sideway's glance. She was half joking and half serious.

"I'm serious, Luna. If we climb over it, there's a chance an avalanche will start," Tsume replied, training his yellow-green eyes on her. "Well, it's too steep to climb over. Either that avalanche starts and we suffocate, or we fall to our deaths," Hige said.

Kiba looked around the area and thought of an idea. "We need to split up. We'll cover more ground that way," he said, looking back at the others. "What do you mean?" Blue said, her blue eyes filled with confusion.

"We have to get to Darcia's keep unscathed. This mountain is too steep for us to climb over. We'll go in pairs. Luna, you and Tsume take the east. Toboe, you and Blue the lower region. Hige and I will take the west," Kiba said, using his head for once.

"Aw, c'mon, Kiba! I wanna be with Blue," Hige whined. "That's fine with me," Blue said, agreeing with the arrangements.

Blue was happy that she didn't have to be paired with Hige. Luna couldn't blame her because she understands how Blue feels about being hit on. Hige's done it with her, Cole, now Blue.

"The decision is made. Let's go. Howl if you find anything," Kiba said, showing that it was final. And with that, the six wolves went their separate ways.

Luna and Tsume headed out in the East in their wolf forms. There wasn't much of anything except snow and ice with a few trees here and there. The two wolves spent the last ten minutes walking into nothing.

"There isn't a damn thing out here. Kiba's got us in a wild goose chase," Tsume huffed, dropping his wolf ears. Luna turned her wolf head to look at him, raising her wolf ears.

"Would you calm down? You're not giving this a chance," she said. "I don't have to, Luna. I know that coming out here was pointless," Tsume replied, turning his wolf head away.

"Looks like being around those humans screwed your nose up," Luna said. Tsume looked back at her quickly, trying to not get offended by what she said. For some reason, he couldn't get angry with her.

"What the hell makes you think that?" he said, keeping a cool tone. "Because I smell a dog, two horses and a few humans a few miles away from here," Luna said, sniffing the ground. Tsume's wolf eyes widened at Luna's acute nose.

She had been on her own for the longest time, she never spent too much time in any city around the humans. She had inherited her father's good, tracking nose and her mother's caring nature.

Tsume could see that she wasn't like any other she-wolf he's ever met, even in his own pack. "Alright, you caught me. Maybe this isn't pointless after all," Tsume said, raising his wolf ears.

The two wolves followed the scent and they came across an icy rock face. The scent was getting stronger.

Luna and Tsume stood in their human forms when they came across a small human settlement. As expected, Luna's nose had been right. There were two humans with their horses. Not to mention, they had a dog with them.

The two wolves hid behind the trees to stay out of their view. "Maybe they can give us directions to Darcia's keep," Luna whispered, peeking around the tree. Tsume was about to respond until the dog those humans were with noticed them and they started to bark ferociously at them.

The three men turned their heads at the sound of their dog barking. The humans raise their guns in their direction. "Come on out! We know you two are there!" the older human called out.

Tsume and Luna did so, holding up their hands. "Who are you two? Where did you come from?!" another human hissed, keeping his gun trained on them. "We don't mean any harm. We're just looking for Darcia's keep. We're just lost, that's all," Luna said, keeping her hands up.

"Lost, huh? Why are you two going to Darcia's Keep?" one of the other men asked. Tsume and Luna glance at each other, before Tsume said, "One of our friends has been taken there. We were hoping to get them back,"

"Really, huh? Well, we can tell you both that you're going the wrong way. It's off to the west," the man said, lowering his gun. For a brief moment, both wolves were relieved that they found some answers.

"Thank you so much. We'll be on our way," Luna said, keeping her eyes on the dog, who was still growling at them. This dog could see what they really were, which wasn't good.

To get away from the scene after getting information they needed, the two wolves walk away. However, the dog started to go crazy and got loose from his master's grip.

He charged at the two wolves and sank his teeth in Luna's leg, causing her to grit her teeth in pain, her eyes became wide.

The bite caused her to drop her human form and stand in her wolf form. "What the hell?!" one of the humans cried out in shock after witnessing Luna turn to her wolf form.

Luna turned around and stared down the humans, who held up their guns at the black she-wolf. "Don't move, you vile beast!" the human shouted, ready to shoot her. However, Tsume didn't want the humans to shoot Luna so he jumped in front of her, baring his wolf fangs at the humans.

"What is happening?! Those beasts cast a spell on us!" the lead human, the owner of the dog, exclaimed, thinking that he was going crazy. "Kill them! We don't know what they are!" the guy shouted.

Luna, didn't want to be shot by those humans, nor show cowardice to them. She walked around Tsume with her wolf fangs bared. Tsume glanced at her, seeing how fierce she was.

Her fangs were bared, her hackles were raised, her tail was raised up all the way, showing the signs an alpha would show. "Grrr..." she snarled, standing in a fighting stance.

The man ordered his dog to attack and he charged at her. Luna lunged at the dog, opening her jaws all the way. She began fighting with the dog, giving the human a chance to shoot her.

Tsume jumped at the human, who sank his wolf fangs in the guys throat. The man dropped his gun. Luna had pinned the dog down beneath her and she snarled at it, threatening to kill it.

"You better run, puppy. I won't hesitate to rip your throat out," she growled. The dog was now scared and quickly ran off from the group.

Luna let out a howl, calling the rest of the pack. It was a howl to let the others know that she and Tsume were in trouble. As she howled, another human took aim and shot the black she-wolf in the right shoulder.

She let out a yelp of pain, making her fall over onto her side. "Luna!" Tsume shouted, seeing the blood ooze out of her wound. Tsume jumped at the human who shot her, catching the man's gun in his jaws.

Luna struggled to stand up, holding her right shoulder, feeling nothing more than a graze. She snarled at the third human, who watched in terror at the sight of his friend being attacked by the large grey wolf.

She started limping to the third man, keeping her fangs bared. "No! Don't even try!" the human shouted, trying to hold his gun up. But it was shaking in his hands.

The black she-wolf lunged at him and bit his shoulder, only for her to be thrown off. She yelped when she hit the ground. She wasn't able to get back up for a moment.

She sat up, holding her bleeding arm. She saw the rest of the pack come to their aid, baring their fangs, ready to attack. Toboe ran over to her, his wolf ears dropped in concern. "Luna, are you okay?" he asked.

"Yeah, that human shot me in the arm. It's just a graze though," Luna answered, breathing through the sharp pain. Toboe walked over close to her and started to lick the wound from the blood.

After those humans were killed, the rest of the pack came back over to her. "Are you okay, Luna?" Tsume asked, helping her stand up. "Yeah, just a bit sore," Luna said.

"We took care of those losers," Hige said. "Thank god, that was insane. On the bright side, we did get directions. Apparently, we were going in the wrong direction. The keep is out to the west. We have to go that way," Luna said.

Kiba nodded and said, Will you be okay to travel?" "I've survived worse than this. I'll be fine," she said. Kiba nodded and the pack moved out towards the West in their wolf forms in the mix-match of colored wolves, white, grey, black, tan, red, and dark blue. They knew where to go now.
