Ch 20 Battles Red Glare

About a couple of quick months between the pack being in that indian village and now had passed. The pack found many places to stay between that time during Luna's pregnancy. But despite that, she wasn't letting it slow them down.

The next morning, they would get a move on because Jaguara's troops are moving closer to them. The kicking in Luna's belly had become more frequent, worrying the pack. They all knew that the pup wouldn't be inside of Luna forever.

Tsume and Luna had a discussion on what to name their daughter. They would name her Sky because that was Tsume's mother's name, so they thought it'd be nice to name their daughter after her.

After a while, the pack took off in the east, sprinting though a snowy hill. The sky was dark and muggy, like a snow storm was going to brew.

As they sprinted through the snowy hill, a flash of light litup the sky for a couple of seconds before vanishing. Toboe looked up at the sky. "Did you guys see that light just now?" he asked.

Another flash of light appeared in the sky, getting all the wolves to look up. "There it is again!" Toboe shouted. "There's no way that it was the sky doing that!" Luna panted.

"It's gotta be reflecting off the ground!" Tsume said. "Whatever it is, it's burning!" Hige shouted over the blowing wind. That scent belonged to noble soldiers attacking another city, no surprise there.

They stop sprinting when they make it to a slope that overlooked the city. That city was being attacked by those noble soldiers, black smoke rose from what was destroyed. Noble ships hovered over it. "The stench of battle. The nobles glory," Kiba said, glaring at the sight below.

The wolves charge down at the city in their wolf forms, ready to fight the nobles. Luna jumped from one of the soldiers' cars and sank her fangs into his throat, blood shooting out. Tsume slashed a soldier with his knife, letting Kiba take the final blow with his wolf fangs.

Luna killed about two or three more as a wolf before stopping on a car with her mate. Toboe did distract a couple as Hige took them out.

Kiba stood on top of a car with a soldier underneath his right foot, back facing the commander of the soldiers. The commander aimed his gun at him. "Don't move!" he commanded.

However, Kiba turns to look at the commander in his wolf form. The others drop their human forms too. The commander gasped and jumped back at this reveal. He couldn't believe that he was looking at real wolves.

"Who the hell are you five? And what makes you think that you can save our skins," he asked. Kiba glanced down at the man with a cool and calm stare. "We don't know, it's just instinct," Kiba said calmly.

Tsume, Luna, Hige, and Toboe jump down to where they surrounded him. Hige doesn't waste a second to sniff the commander. "Hey, this guy's one of the humans that chased us back where we found Cheza," he said.

Kiba's blue eyes became big and he jumped down. "You know about Cheza?!" he exclaimed. The commander looked flustered at the name. "What're you talking about?" he asked.

"Are all you humans the same? She's the girl with pink hair and red eyes. The flower maiden," Luna said. The commander realized what she was talking about after a few minutes. "You five are the ones from Darcia's city," he exclaimed.

Kiba stepped forward and asked, "Do you have any idea where they took her?" The man shook his head in defeat. "No. Wasn't she with you?" he asked.

"She was taken by the same soldiers that wore this exact armor," Tsume said, kicking the armor a bit. "You mean Jaguara's people?" the commander asked.

The pack nods as a response. "It makes sense now. I understand why she'd want to attack us. She already killed Orkham, now she's after us. They'd risk everything to get their hands on her," the man said, deep in thought.

Hige scoffs at this, clearly getting bored of this serious talk. "Look, we don't give a damn about what those nobles are doing. We just wanna know if you've seen Cheza or not?" he said.

Luna then felt a dull pain in her stomach, getting her to breath a bit more heavily. Tsume noticed this and held her hand. "Luna, you okay?" he asked.

The black she-wolf glanced up at her mate just as the pain went away. "Yeah, I'm okay. It's nothing," she said, having a feeling that she would be going into labor sooner than expected.

"No, I haven't. But if she's in Jagura's keep, *points towards the north* you'll find it by heading north towards the frozen sea," he said.

The pack started to head out before the commander stopped them. "Wait, are you really gonna fight Jagura alone?" he asked.

The pack looked back at him. "Whether I'm alone or not, I'll always fight to protect the ones who need me. No matter the cost," Kiba said, giving the commander a determined tone.

The pack then takes off in the direction of the frozen sea.

After about an hour of running, Kiba stops and looks up at the sky, as if he sensed something. The others stop behind him. They saw a noble ship flying in the sky, the ship that Cheza is in. She happened to be looking out of the window of the ship.

"They're at it again," Hige groaned, rollingh is eyes at the ship. "What do we do, guys? We can't keep playing this same game," Luna asked, glancing up at the sky.

Kiba kept looking at the sky, knowing what to do. "No doubt about it," he said finally. He looked at the pack and said, "It's time we head for Jagura's keep. No more distracts. Let's go!" he said.

The pack ran in their wolf forms through the snow covered tundra, ready to take down Jagura. However, there would
