Chapter 2: The apartment
California had dressed herself in the vibrant, homely autumn season. The golden and somewhat rosy sun was shining brightly in the sky giving an almost false indication of the temperature. Granted, the sun did give off a nice toasty heat, but the air was still offering a slightly cool tingle, though bringing along with it, the aura of relaxation.
Autumn was the time of season that was practically made for relaxed evenings in with warm drinks, and even warmer smiles shared with loved ones.
Jason, Kimberly, Billy, Trini and Zack had passed through customs and had just retrieved their baggage from the conveyor belts in Angel Grove International Airport. They were definitely not having a relaxed evening in. Not yet anyway.
"Right, is that the last one Kim," Jason said as he heaved Kimberly's huge suitcase onto the luggage cart which was straining under a few similarly large suitcases.
Kimberly moved towards Jason and wiped away a bead of sweat on his forehead. "Yep, that's the last one," Kimberly said with a quick kiss on the cheek.
Jason smiled at Kim, perfectly aware of how flushed his face had become, and not just because of the heavy lifting. "I'm sure glad you guys are here though," Jason said as he looked to change the subject and save his own blushes, busying himself with securing the suitcase onto the cart.
Billy was stood next to a luggage cart and so we're Zack and Trini, both carts bearing items belonging to Kimberly as well as their own small bits of luggage.
"Well, moving from a state across the country is a big deal. What are friends for?" Trini stated with a kind smile.
"Precisely!" Added Billy.
"We really appreciate it guys," Kimberly said as she grabbed the luggage cart and began to help Jason push it.
"Don't thank us just yet," Zack said with a sly grin.
"Why not?" Jason asked, attempting to read the cheeky look on his best friends face. He knew Zack better than anyone except perhaps Trini. Jason thought Zack looked suspicious, he definitely had something up his sleeve
Zack Just winked at Jason and proceeded out of the airport to flag down a cab.
The group had planned to get a cab to Trini and Zack's house, unload everyone else's belongings and Zack and Billy would then drive them to Jason and Kimberly's new apartment. They had to of course get multiple cabs since they had so much of Kimberly's belongings.
The newly engaged couple didn't have a clue that their friends had set up their new apartment with so many new appliances. The apartment they chose was partially furnished. They could really customise it to their liking and therefore lower the rent for the long term. The new apartment did come with essentials like wardrobes, storage units, decent flooring and even some brand new couches.
The group knew Kim was rather particular with furniture so they left that for her to complete, they had only fitted in the bed that Kimberly had ordered. But they had practically set up the kitchen. A brand new stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and even a coffee machine, all whilst adhering to the colour scheme that they overheard Kim and Jason agreeing to. They teamed up with Mr and Mrs Scott and totally transformed the kitchen. They couldn't wait to surprise Jason and Kimberly.
Kimberly looked out of the backseat window in Billy's car and watched as the car drove over a couple of crunchy, golden leaves that had floated into their path. Jason and Kim were offered a lift from Billy when Trini and Zack unceremoniously sped off in Zack's car back at their place. Kimberly's gaze was interrupted by a sign in front of them that indicated they had entered Angel Grove.
She felt a little tug on her red polka dot dress and cocked her head slightly to her left to see her fiancé looking at the sign with an excitement she hadn't seen since they were young teenagers .
"Are you excited by any chance?" she asked him with a little giggle, nudging him in the arm.
"What gave it away?" Jason asked her. Kimberly just shrugged her shoulders and glanced a smile at him.
"Just to be coming back here, with you Kim. Not like last time, not like any other time before. But to come here with you in this way, It... It just feels like a dream." Jason said in Kimberly's ear , just loud enough so that she could hear him.
Kimberly turned away from the window and faced Jason, studying his face which had a look of fulfilment written all over his chiselled features. She smiled in response and took his hand into hers. "Well this is definitely not a dream. Shall I pinch you?"
Jason smiled broadly, "Go right ahead," He whispered.
Kimberly stared into Jason's eyes, "I've got a better idea." She slowly inched forward until she could feel her partners heat radiating off his face and onto hers. She leaned in and placed his bottom lip in her mouth and bit down.
"Ouch!" Jason cried in a combination of pain, pleasure and shock. He didn't expect her to bite him, his lip was stinging, but it felt good nonetheless.
"See, you definitely aren't dreaming," Kimberly said, moving forward again, this time gently pecking Jason's lips with hers.
"Oh will you two get a room. As you are both well aware, the driver does look for cars in the rear view mirror you know," Billy said as he took a left and entered the road leading into Angel Grove.
"Sorry Billy," A red faced Kimberly mumbled.
Jason was too embarrassed to say anything, so he just smirked at Kimberly like a naughty child who had just been told off by his parents.
"It's fine. After all, it is very fulfilling to see two of my closest friends being so happy. However, we are literally minutes away from your apartment. So hold tight." Billy said as he entered into Angel Grove and drove down a long road on the outskirts of the city.
Jason and Kimberly looked at each other and smiled. They were so excited but also nervous. They had known each other since they were kids but this was something totally different. They were starting a brand journey together, not as friends but as partners, as a newly engaged couple. Things were very different now.
Ring ring
Billy's cell phone rang, the former blue ranger quickly glanced at his phone and slowly turned into a side street to park the car and answer his phone. Most people would have just answered it there on the road, but not Billy. He was after all the, the wisest and most responsible of the group of friends. It was a rather difficult role to gain since they were all wise and responsible people. They had to be, ever since they were plunged into the roles of power rangers when they were just kids.
"I hear you Zack," Billy said as he flipped open his cell phone. Kimberly and Jason looked around at their surroundings. Even though they were in a random side street, they could easily tell they were in Angel Grove.
Billy listened to what Zack said and replied with an okay before ending the call.
"Did he explain why he ran off so quickly?" Jason asked, peering in front of him.
"Yeah. What was the hurry?" Kimberly asked.
"I'm not sure guys. I do apologise on their behalf." Billy looked back at his friends with an apologetic smile. "Maybe they just needed to fulfil some chores or something." Billy answered.
"Mmmhmm. Or maybe go away and have some husband/wife time," Kimberly speculated.
"Eurgh gross Kim. Please, I don't wanna think about that," Jason said with a frown.
"Oh I didn't mean it like that silly. You know, just some nice quiet time together away from everyone," Kimberly replied.
"Thank god," Jason said.
"Billy, shall we get going?" Kimberly said as she turned her attention to Billy.
"Yes most certainly."
Billy drove around Angel Grove very cautiously and took a few wrong turns which was most unlike him. Billy had always planned routes ahead of time and knew exactly where he was going. It became dark outside and Billy feeling at fault, apologised profusely to his friends.
"It's okay Billy don't worry." Kimberly said as she leaned forward and patted her friends shoulder.
"It's in the same area as Costco, just go there and I'm sure you'll remember where to go," Jason smiled at his old friend. "And if you don't, I'll guide you," he added.
"Thank you Jason. I think it's the next right turn and we'll be in close proximity to Costco," Billy said as he sped up slightly.
A few minutes later, the car pulled up in to the parking lot of Jason and Kimberly's new apartment.
Jason turned to look at Kim, catching each others gaze, they gave each other excited smiles as they caught sight of their new apartment on the 3rd floor.
"Are you ready baby?" Jason asked.
"Hell yeah," She replied with a wide grin.
Jason's eyes caught his big, beautiful motorcycle parked up behind them in a bay. Locked and secured, his bike cover cloaked over it. He knew instantly it was his since his bike cover was black and gold with his initials on it. He smiled even wider when Kimberly turned her head and looked back at him, pecking his cheek.
The three friends got out of the car and grabbed a suitcase each from the trunk of Billy's car. They made their way inside, and entered the elevator, Jason and Kim holding hands as Billy texted away on his phone.
They got off on the third floor and walked over to their new apartment door. Billy heaved the suitcase he was rolling along the floor next to them. "I'll get going guys, allow you to –"
Billy was cut off by Jason "No it's cool Billy. We're family remember," he said as he turned the key in the lock which clicked, Jason and Kimberly pushed open the door.
" SURPRISE"
Kimberly and Jason were nearly blown out of their boots from the overwhelming shock that was given to them.
They looked around and saw nearly everyone they cared about, jumping up, pulling party poppers, blowing party horns and throwing vibrant confetti.
They could see Tommy and Kat, Adam, Tanya and Rocky, Jason's parents, and Billy's fiancé Marge.
Zack smiled brightly at his friend's and walked forward to grab the suitcases from their hands. "What are you waiting for, come into your new home guys, I hope you don't mind the crowd in here." He said as he and Billy rolled in the remaining luggage.
Before they could answer however, Mr and Mrs Scott ran forward and wrapped them both in a tight embrace.
"Oh my baby. I'm so happy you're home." Mrs Scott mumbled from out of the little space she could find from squeezing her son and his fiancé. "And what an amazing gift you bring with you," She added as her eyes connected with Kimberly's. The former pink ranger could feel her face becoming really hot as she smiled back at the lady who had looked after her many times over the years.
"Yeah what a surprise. Your mom nearly fainted when you called us and told us about the good news. We've missed ya kiddo." Mr Scott said as he parted from the embrace and looked at his son and his fiancé.
"Geez. Thanks pops, I missed you too," Jason said as he tried to acclimate to the shock of seeing his parents and friends, he was interrupted however.
Tommy was the next one to embrace them both in a firm, but gentle hug, followed by Katherine.
"Welcome home guys." He said simply as he took a step back after greeting his old friends.
"But how did you- You were at MIT doing your course," Kimberly asked Tommy as she just finished kissing Kat on the cheek.
Tommy smiled and shrugged his shoulders "I got some time off for Thanksgiving and thought I might as well come back home. Great timing guy, cheers."
"Looks like things worked out pretty good bro," Jason said, clasping hands with his old friend.
"It's great to see you both again. And oh my god, congratulations!" Kat added as she jumped up in excitement.
"Yeah. I can't say I'm surprised, it's about time you guys,"
Before Jason could inquire about what the original green ranger meant, he along with Kimberly were pulled into an embrace by Rocky, Adam and Tanya.
"If you two got married in Florida or anywhere else but here, and denied me some wedding food, I would've hunted you down and brought you right back to Angel Grove," Rocky said as he smiled up at his friends.
"Ummm, I really don't know what to say to that one Rocky." Kimberly said as she giggled at Rocky's strange but signature sense of humour.
"Welcome back guys. Congratulations on the engagement and your new apartment," Adam smiled warmly at Jason and Kim who returned with big smiles of their own.
"Yeah congrats guys. Ever since I saw you two together back in 97, I thought you made such a cute couple" Tanya said, nipping both their cheeks. "And your new home is gorgeous!" Tanya added.
"Thanks Tanya." Jason said, smiling and catching sight of Billy who was walking arm in arm with Marge. "Guys, I don't know if you remember but this is-"
"Marge," Jason and Kimberly said in unison.
"Yes, I'm glad you remember." Marge said.
"How could we forget, you were the smartest person at school next to Billy," Jason said.
"And now you've stolen his heart too," added Kimberly, drawing out a very shy smile from the former blue ranger.
"I must concur, though today is about you guys. Congratulations on your engagement. I always thought you two were the perfect match,"
"Wow really?" Kimberly asked.
"Why yes. Even back at school. I'm really happy for you both"
Kimberly moved forward and placed both Marge and Billy in a tight embrace, joined by Jason. They stepped back after a few seconds and looked at all their friends.
"Thank you guys, this means the world to us." Jason moved to hold Kimberly's hand, who more than eagerly gave up her hand to be squeezed.
"Yeah, thank you." She added.
"Remember what I said," Zack moved forward from the crowd and placed a hand on both Jason and Kimberly's shoulders. "Don't thank us just yet."
"What are you on about bro?" Jason asked.
"Come with us and you'll find out," Trini said as she walked up next to her husband.
They led the couple away from the living room and to the door to their new kitchen.
"Go ahead," Trini prompted.
"Guys" Kimberly was refused the chance to ask their friends what was going on as Zack nudged her forward towards the kitchen door.
Jason peered suspiciously at his friends and at his parents behind them, who just couldn't hide the excitement on their faces. He placed a hand on the door handle and waited for Kimberly to place her hand on top of his and together they pushed down and the door clicked open.
They were stunned to see their new kitchen which looking absolutely beautiful.
The original black granite theme of the kitchen was perfectly complemented by the black and red kitchen accessories. The stove in front of them was brand new, slick black with red handles and knobs, a brand new black fridge, the granite black cupboards and kitchen counters were excellently rounded off with red tiles behind the cooker. Little red accessories such as salt and pepper mills, toaster, knife block among other items, really made them pop and go well with the dark shade of the kitchen.
Kimberly was gobsmacked that their chosen colour scheme was perfected. She leapt into Trini's arms with joy. "Wow Trini. Its beautiful. It really is a thing of beauty. Thank you." She cried as she gave her best friend a huge cuddle.
"This is definitely most impressive," Billy said as he stood next to Marge, admiring his friends new kitchen which he assisted in designing.
"Thankyou Billy. You guys. Its absolutely perfect. But you shouldn't have-"
Jason was interrupted mid sentence by Zack "There ain't no buts my man. Your mom and dad helped us to give you a jump start on your new life with your kitchen getting sorted. We would've done the whole apartment but you know. We got kinda scared" He glanced at Kimberly who waved him off.
"You did a great job," She said as she turned around and hugged Jason's mom. "Thank you Mrs Scott. It means so much to me,"
"Well you both mean a lot to us sweetie." Jason's mom replied, stepping back and placing her hands on her hips. "And stop this Mrs Scott nonsense. You are no outsider to us Kimberly darling, you know my name,"
"Thankyou Jean." Kimberly said with a sheepish smile.
"We couldn't let you two do this all by yourselves now could we," Mr Scott said, moving to his son and placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "The superintendent referred us to the landlord who was more than happy to have us work on it. Saves him a few bucks." Mr Scott said, hugging his son.
"Mom, dad, guys, seriously. Thank you!" Jason said as he returned the hug and looked at all of his friends and family piled up inside and outside of the kitchen.
"Don't worry about it bro. Come on, let's get this party started," Zack said as he grabbed a bottle of champagne from the kitchen counter and popped it open, spraying the new couple who didn't care about the mess it would make, didn't care about what time it was and how tired they were. They were ready to party with their family and friends.
Moon Palace dungeons
Aisha sat up and desperately searched around through the darkness that the moon Palace dungeons were cloaked in.
Scorpina had just locked the dungeon door at the top of a dusty, stone staircase and left Aisha locked in one of its cells. Not knowing that she was now totally conscious.
The ex ranger surveyed the surroundings which were so dark, that her eyes couldn't adjust, even though they had been mostly closed for the last half hour. She hopelessly tugged at the chain wrapped around her arm, shackling her to her prison wall.
"Man, I thought I had left all this shit behind," She whispered to herself, giving up, sitting back down and attempting to adapt to the cold, hard floor.
There she was, in her little, innocent village in Malawi, minding her own business, collecting fire wood for the families near to her home, when suddenly from out of nowhere, Scorpina had crept up behind her, knocked her out cold and the next thing she knew, she was in some sort of flying object, high up in the sky and shackled at the hands and feet. She attempted to break free, but the only thing she a achieved, was a severe beating from Scorpina who manage to once again, leave her lying unconscious with a swift punch.
Aisha used her tongue to trace over the cut on her bottom lip before she looked down at her hands and feet, still tied together but this time, chained onto a wall. The former yellow ranger had contemplated making a run for it when she had been dragged to these dungeons, but she knew that with two evil, menacing looking robots upstairs and with Scorpina, she would not be able to get free. Where would she go anyway. She knew she was at Zedd and Rita's old moon Palace, but she had no transport or means of escaping and getting back to earth.
Aisha allowed her eyes to release some pent up tears, quietly she sat there and sobbed. She couldn't think of any way out of this situation, she just hoped that Zordon could somehow manage to interpret that she was in trouble and send the power rangers to help her.
Power rangers? The guys will be in 20s now and have probably retired from power ranger duties she thought as she wiped her tear laden cheeks with her shoulder, remembering the day Zordon informed them that they would eventually put down their powers and have the chance to live a normal life.
Aisha had been given a second chance at life. A second chance to do some good in the world. She used her veterinary knowledge to help tame the local wildlife and to bring happiness to the village with the knowledge and skills she learnt as an American. The locals were shocked a girl at her age was able to do so much good, they were even more shocked when Aisha suddenly grew up overnight, not knowing that the newly reformed Zeo crystals had restored time and undone Master Vile's evil plot.
I'm Sure Zordon has a new ranger team at his disposal Aisha thought, leaning her tired, and bruised head against the hard wall she was strapped to. Clinging on to the hope that she was to be saved, totally unaware that Zordon was no more. There wasn't a ranger team in Angel Grove anymore. The only ranger team, the wildforce rangers, were secluded and at war with the orgs, they couldn't help her, they couldn't even come to know about her kidnap and imprisonment. Aisha didn't realise, the amount of peril she was in. Nobody knew or could know that the second, yellow mighty morphin power ranger was trapped in the dismal dungeons of the moon Palace. As she gladly fell asleep against the cold and unforgivable hard dungeon wall, she had no idea that, there was no hope.
Angel Grove – 11:48pm
Jason's parents has already left for home, not before inviting Jason and Kimberly over to their house tomorrow for dinner.
The others were about to leave and had just handed their gifts over to the new couple who were in the middle of opening them.
"Thank you Tommy, they're awesome bro" Jason smiled at Tommy before turning to Katherine "Kat, seriously, thanks they're beautiful," Jason said putting aside the big bottle of champagne with Jason and Kim engraved on it along with the personalised champagne flutes. A joint gift from Tommy and Kat. It wasn't their only gift however.
Kimberly was clutching two passes for a luxurious, couples spa day. "OMG Kat, I seriously can't wait for this, thank you." She squealed as she hugged her friend.
"Yeah, I've never had a massage before, this will be interesting. Thanks." Jason added.
"Oh you'll love it Jason. Trust me. And it's honestly not that much I wish I could do more," Kat replied.
"No babe. It's awesome. Thank you," Kim said before turning and accepting a gift from Adam and Tanya.
Kimberly undid the red and pink wrapping and laid her eyes on two beautiful mugs. One saying: Jason asked . The other saying: Kim said yes! Kimberly's eyes gleamed up when she saw them. "Thank you Adam and thank you Tanya. They're so cute, and the wrapping paper! Great choice of color" she quickly glanced towards Billy who was stood next to his girlfriend Marge. Kimberly just winked at Adam and Tanya who understood and replied with their own mischievous winks.
Jason opened up the second parcel which turned out to be a 3 course dinner for two at the snazziest restaurant in Angel Grove, "le Bistro".
"I just thought, with all the moving and your things all over the place, you could do with a nice dinner out," Adam said.
"That's just you in a nutshell Adam." Jason said, hugging the former green Zeo ranger.
"It so is. So thoughtful and cute," Kimberly joined in with the hug.
""Don't forget me." Rocky moved forward and dangled a big parcel in his hands.
Jason and Kimberly broke the embrace with Adam and Tanya and accepted the gift from Rocky.
"Man this one's heavy," Jason gently shook the large package with both hands, sending a curious glance towards Rocky.
"Yeah man. I just hope you guys like it,"
"I'm sure we will." Kimberly said with a smile as she eagerly watched Jason undo the wrapping, underneath of which was a big red box.
"Open the box," urged Rocky. Everyone eagerly watched the couple, waiting to see what Rocky had gifted.
Kimberly leaned in and opened the box in Jason's arms and unearthed a large red present from a mountain of packing peanuts and confetti.
"A waffle iron, I knew it would be food related." Kimberly giggled.
"Not just any waffle iron. Open it,"
Kimberly eyed the top of the bright red machine and saw the words Lovingly made waffles emblazoned on top. She opened the gadget to see it was shaped like a big love heart.
"Now you can eat hearts for breakfast," Rocky said with a little giggle.
"Well, it certainly is unique Rock-man." Jason said, moving to put the big box down, an amused look on his face.
"No no, wait. Check what else is in the box,"
Jason rummaged around in the box and pulled out two aprons. One emblazoned with Mr and the other with Mrs. " Thanks dude. They're really cute, gotta admit,"
"You guys, seriously. You shouldn't have," Kimberly said, moving Rocky's gifts next to the pile of other gifts from their friends, including little cute gifts from original five plus marge.
"Yeah, just you being here means a lot to us," Jason said, smiling at all their friends.
"Nah bro, you two deserve so much more." Zack said as he and Trini moved closer to the rest of the group.
"Yeah I agree dude." Tommy said, entwining hands with Katherine.
"Are you kidding? You guys have literally done our kitchen for us, and it ain't even our place." Jason moved closer to Kimberly, who nestled her head into his side. "We will never forget this. Thanks guys,"
"For everything" Kimberly said, clutching Jason's hand and giving her friends a very appreciative smile.
"From helping us make the move from Florida, to helping us to turn this apartment into a home. The lovely gifts you all gave, it's going to really help us. Thank you." Kimberly finished, moving to all her friends giving them all a hug, shortly followed by her fiancé.
"Well. I guess it's time we left you two lovebirds alone. It's been a hectic few days and I'm sure you need a rest." Said Zack following a big clasp of hands with his best friend, brother and former leader of the power rangers.
"Yeah. I'm beat. But being here with you guys has been awesome." Kimberly said.
"We shall see each other all the time now Kimberly. Have no worry," Billy said.
"Yeah, I'll be here for a week or two, and after my education I'll be coming right back." Tommy said with a shrug of the shoulders and a smile.
"You ain't getting rid of us," Rocky added.
Everyone followed win a chorus of approvals.
Jason and Kimberly couldn't believe the amount of love and solidarity they had seen and received tonight. It reaffirmed their decision of moving back to Angel Grove.
"Thanks a lot bro" Jason hugged Zack and closed the door behind the last of the group.
He felt Kimberly snuggle up behind him, pulling her arms around his waist and resting her forehead gently on his back.
"You ready for bed baby?" He asked, succumbing to the calming feeling that was taking over his body.
"Kinda. I really need a shower first." She replied.
Jason turned around and faced Kimberly, gently leaning against the door behind him. "Well you go first then, I'll get the room ready, it'll be in a right state."
Kimberly looked up into the eyes she loved so much, "How about we have it together and then christen the place. If you're not too tired of course," she winked at him, curling her lips into a cheeky smile.
"Oh that's naughty." Jason slid his hands down to cup his partners buttocks and gave them a squeeze. "Trust me, I'm not too tired for that." Jason raised his eyebrows and read the face of the woman in front of him, the woman he had always loved. Still adjusting, but thoroughly enjoying a side to her he never imagined possible.
"Where is the bathroom again?" Kim asked, giving him a wink and briefly brushing her body up against his torso.
"The second door on the left here" Jason pointed to the bathroom door.
Kimberly grabbed his hand and briskly led him away to begin their night.
Moon Palace – Throne room.
The moon Palace looked much better now that it had been inhabited by two very powerful beings. The candles were now lit again, magic candles of course, the rubble had been disintegrated and moonlight was now seeping through the veils from the exit and entrance balconies.
"Where is that giant silver baboon," the robotic voice of Prince Gasket boomed out from behind the throne.
"Calm down my love. Scorpina told us they won't be long now, and turn around and face me will you." Princess Archerina pleaded.
Prince gasket spun around in the throne and looked deep into his wife's metallic eyes.
"I apologise for my harshness my dear wife." Prince Gasket said as his wife moved closer to him.
"It's perfectly okay my prince. I feel the pressure too. But we must be patient," Princess Archerina said.
"I know darling, I know,"
"Maybe I could ask my dad to let me borrow some cogs," Archerina said, moving closer to her husband.
"I'm sorry dear, but your father would rather watch me be torn to pieces and my parts melted away into oblivion than assist me in taking over a planet" Gasket replied.
"You know dear, he is slowly beginning to accept you as a part of our empire," Archerina countered, moving to sit down onto Gasket's knee, causing their metal to clunk together.
"No he is not, he is only showing me a bit of respect due to the fact that we have master on our side,"
"Yes maybe, but he is still coming to accept our love. And the fact that our love will never fade-"
"We shall see. As of now, I have no intention of asking King Aradon for anyth-"
Prince Gasket's sentence was cut short due to a snap of shiny grey energy, adding further illumination to the moonlit room.
"Aaaah," Gasket let out a happy cry as his wife slid off his knee and stood next to him by the throne.
A beastly creature stepped out of the grey energy. He appeared to be a gigantic amalgamation of a monkey and a mythological manticore monster. His body was encapsulated in brilliant silver armour, showing only his huge and muscular bluey grey forearms, his dark grey face with crimson eyes, and his jet black thick and shaggy hair escaping from his silver helmet.
Stood next to him, was Scorpina, looking menacing in her shiny gold armour, contrasting well next to the silver of her partner in evil.
This giant beast walked over to Prince Gasket who was sat on the throne, tapping away on his leg with melodious clangs.
"Aaaah you have returned Silverback. What have you found,"
"Prince Gasket, I have found the power rangers," The giant Silverback spoke for the first time. His voice was a guttural growl, but with a loud and powerful bass that rang around the entire throne room. Knocking away some of the dust gathered on the walls.
"Excellent. Is that arrogant bastard Tommy still their leader or is it that gold buffoon," Gasket turned his head to look at the golden Scorpina stood just behind Silver back. "Sorry, no insult to you scorpina, or is that buffoon Jason now leading the team?" Gasket asked.
"I did not find those of which you speak. I found a team called the Wildforce power rangers." Silverback replied, causing what would be defined as a look of confusion on gaskets ugly, robotic face.
"Their leader is called Cole, their guide is called Princess Shayla. They live in between a town called Turtle Cove and an island floating around in another dimension in the sky. They are already being targeted and threatened by Master org."
"Oh that miserable, annoying little cockroach. What is his plan?" Gasket questioned.
"He is after one thing only. That little floating island."
"So you mean, the earth is there for the taking?" Gasket inquired.
Silverback nodded his big, ugly head in confirmation.
"Excellent. Have you located Tommy and the rest of the old ranger punks? "
"No Prince Gasket, we have not." Scorpina stepped forward next to Silverback and answered. "We haven't interpreted any signals or felt any power surges. It seems like they have retired from their power danger duties and began their miserable lives as normal, insignificant humans."
"Find them," Gasket said, everyone noticing the venom in his voice. "Find them and tell me where they are. We have a score to settle."
"But Gasket-" Silverback started but was interrupted by the robot, fire and anger in his voice.
"Call me PRINCE GASKET,"
"Prince of what exactly, Gasket? I follow the orders of the master. I am simply doing what he asks of me." Silverback snapped back.
"Who did he put in charge of this operation you big flying monkey." Gasket retorted, Princess Archerina noticing his temper, gently placed her hand onto his cold shoulder in order to calm him down.
"Don't you dare insult me. If I wanted to, I could snap you in half and trade your parts for what's left of Edenoi. But as it is, Master did put you in charge of this operation. I will not disobey him." Silverback explained.
"Good, we have an understanding." Gasket said.
"We do. As long as you show me some respect"
"I shall show you some respect, but I should also inform you, if you attempt to threaten me again, it is you who will be cut in half and sold for space dust,"
Scorpina placed a hand on Silverbacks pulsating forearm in an attempt to calm him down.
Princess Archerina realising that cooler heads were needed, spoke up for the first time in a while. "Silverback, Scorpina, would you please locate those ex power ranger punks and kindly inform us of their whereabouts. Thank you,"
Scorpina and Silverback both nodded in agreement.
"What about the one in the dungeons? Scorpina asked.
"We shall leave her there for now." Archerina answered.
"Yes, we still need her as a bargaining chip. Have you brought some earth food with you to feed the bitch? We need to keep her alive Scorpina." Gasket inquired.
"Yes Prince Gasket. I will feed her before we go look for Tommy, Jason and the rest of the little power punks."
"Excellent," Gasket leaned back into the throne, his inhuman face contorting into a smile. "Whether they are power rangers or not. They will pay for what they did to me, to my darling wife and my deceased family." Gaskets eyes leaked a bit of oil as his face filled with anger, but also with sadness.
"Poor little fat Sprocket, my idiot Father and my poor, innocent mother. They are not here anymore and it's because of those pesky rangers! They are powerless to put up a fight. I will destroy them before I take that little planet they call home. And I will rule over it and rebuild the machine empire. With Master by my side, we will be unstoppable."
I know it's not the best chapter, but everything needs a foundation to build upon. The next chapter shall be with you much quicker.
