I'm still struggling to find inspiration for this story but FINALLY here is the next chapter.
Chapter Six
"Her being half dark Fae really doesn't matter to me. What does is that she's the leader of a small group of dark Fae who use black magic and practice human sacrifices and blood rituals. I've learned that they believe that if they cut out my still beating heart on the night of my twenty-fifth birthday and eat it that they will gain immense magical powers and crap like that." I told Bella who blinked several times before looking at me in disbelief.
"Say what?" Bella said and I nodded,
"Yeah, I know it sounds like the plot of a terrible cliche novella but it's sadly true. Remember when I had been kidnapped for those two years? Well actually my grandmother on my mom's side had me taken to her so she could teach me to use my magic. She had me taken deep under the earth to the City of Magic so I would be immersed in the culture and magic of my ancestors. I wish I could take you there Bella, you would love it, dinosaurs still live down there and there's a miniature sun down there and everything! Not to mention-" I exclaimed, getting lost in my memories before Bella pulled me out of them as she cut me off.
"Wait! We just left my mother there with yours? We have to go back!" Bella cried out standing up.
"Don't worry about your mom, I made sure she was protected from magic and intangible to any who wish her harm so she's safe." I told Bella standing up.
"Are you sure about that?" Bella demanded and I nodded,
"Yes, protection magic was the first thing Grandma taught me and it's the thing I'm strongest in. I promise." I replied wanting her to know I was serious.
"Okay so you knew about being a Fae did you know about being a werewolf? Or do you call it shape-shifting?" Bella asked, choosing to sit on the ground across from me so she could see my face as I shifted from my wolf form back to my human form and got dressed.
"I guess it would be called shape-shifting since I wasn't bitten and I don't need the full moon to transform but regardless, I only found out about it when I was attacked by a vampire in Egypt and literally just exploded into my wolf form. That's when two of the people I thought were my friends revealed themselves to be spies sent by my mother and I realized that you were in more danger then I thought possible which is why I sent you that letter. It was written with special ink on a special type of magic paper that when burnt released a protection against magic into the air and would last for five days."
"Wow. So- I mean…wow." Bella said, shaking her head as she tried to take it all in.
"Yeah, I try not to dwell on the fact that my mother is a magical nut-case and instead embrace the awesome things about the world around me. For instance, did you know that aliens are real? Like they are living among us right now, although I guess the term 'aliens' is a bit rude but anyway, they are actually the reason behind all those ancient myths and legends about strange creatures and happenings. I'm not one hundred percent but I think that the so-called 'Jack the Ripper' was actually an alien. Although he could have been a Fae or any manner of other magical creature or even a normal human but when you think about the mutilation that was done to the woman and- sorry.. sorry you're still processing and I'm rambling. It's just so freeing to finally be able to talk to someone I trust and not have to hold back truths." I said trying to calm myself down by sitting down having jumped up and begun to pace as I had gotten more excited.
"It's…fine I'm just everything. I mean first magic exists, magical beings exist, now you're telling me that aliens actually exist as well? It's like my whole world was just an illusion that has been shattered and I'm left trying to fit the fragmented pieces back together." Bella said, rubbing the bridge of her nose like she was trying to stave off a headache.
"Everything's better with a bottle of Everclear and some chocolate. Why don't we go get some." I said realizing how hard it must be for her to just get blind-sided by everything at once. I hadn't even told her about her real dad being a so called alien yet but I was pretty sure I should wait to drop that bombshell on her.
"Yeah lets go do that." Bella agreed, pulling me out of my thoughts again and I smiled helping her stand up as we both walked over to my bike and climbed onto it.
"Hold on tight." I told her as I revved the engine, feeling her fingers dig into my sides just before I hit the gas and we began once again flying down the road.
