Nova had decided that she didn't want to be on the deteriorating ship alone and wandered the halls until she ran into Shazza. By now what was left of the crew was ready to venture out and look for more survivors. So far, the survivors were Nova, Fry, Shazza, Johns, Jack, Paris, Zeke, Imam, and his three acolytes. They all decided it would be best to stick together as a group when traveling out so no one would be lost, aside from Riddick who willingly left.

"So…" Johns started, somehow having convinced Nova to help him with something. "How exactly did he get out?" He asked.

"How did who get out?" Nova asked, feigning ignorance.

"Don't play dumb with me. Riddick. Who else?" Johns said sharply, not in the mood for games.

"Oh, him. You know what, I had been in my own little corner minding my business, and when I went to check on him he had already vanished." Nova said, unwilling to cooperate anymore.

"What, you mean like some kind of damn Houdini?" Johns asked, looking at Nova in annoyed disbelief.

"Must have been." Nova said, shrugging.

"Well, that's just fan-fucking-tastic." Johns said, his day already going from horrible to more horrible.

The crew was finally ready to leave the ship and look for survivors. The whole planet was a desert, and everyone started sweating almost immediately.

"Yikes, it's bad out here." Nova said, pulling her hair into a ponytail before putting a hat on.

"Some water would be great right now" Fry said, walking alongside Nova before realizing what she was wearing. "Hey, where did you get that?" She asked, surprised.

"I was walking around and found it in one of the lockers that was flung in the crash. Does it belong to someone you know?" Nova said.

"…It's fine. You need it more right now, anyways." Fry said, awkwardly.

The crew had been walking for a bit when they came upon what looked like a group of trees. Nova started running, excited and relieved.

"Trees mean water!" Nova called out in excitement.

Imam's acolytes followed closely behind Nova. When they finally got to what they thought had been trees, it turned out to be remains of a huge creature. In fact, the whole area was a boneyard. Though they were disappointed to have not found water, she was at least glad to have found shade. While venturing further into the bones she smelled a familiar scent.

'Riddick.' Nova thought.

Nova focused her hearing and managed to hear a steady thumping.

"You come here often?" A deep voice playfully asked. Riddick had still managed to startle Nova. "Relax, girl. You managed to survive the initial crash. No reason to scare yourself to death out here." He said, coming down from his resting spot.

"I-I have to admit I don't really know how to act around you. What did you mean when you said I felt familiar?" Nova asked.

Riddick had gotten closer to Nova now, and reached out to place his hand on her head.

"I see you found some crew swag." Riddick said, ignoring the question.

Riddick trailed his hand down the back of Nova's head and brought her ponytail with it as he went to rest his hand on the left side of her neck. She was about to say something when he placed his thumb over her lips and shushed her. He leaned into her right ear before speaking.

"We have company." Riddick whispered.

This action sent a violent chill up and down Nova's spine. Her face felt hot, and a cold pool formed in her stomach. She felt dizzy with a headache coming on, and quite nauseous. She couldn't remember if anyone had ever made her feel that way off such a simple gesture, or at all. Riddick pulled away from her and got closer to the bone wall that Fry and Johns were now resting on the other side of.
