I've been waiting to get to this point in the story for a while! I can't wait for her to officially start Hogwarts. This is kind of a filler chapter while also introducing some other characters. I'll let you find out who those are for yourselves.

Onto the reviews!

Axel Alex chapter 14 . Sep 2

My response with help of Google translate.

Me: Je suis content que tu apprécies mon histoire.

Axel Alex chapter 14 . Sep 2

I love the idea of your story and can't wait to read more, whether it's about what she's going to do to the Potters when she's at Hogwarts, Dumbledore and Voldemort... Are you ok make Voldemort a real bad guy or maybe save him? we know how manipulated he is by Dumbledore if we read the canon... because without the old fool he might not have turned out so badly.

And Severus? Sirius?

Anyway, can't wait for the rest of the story.

Me: I'm glad you're enjoying my story. I'm not sure I'll make Voldemort or Severus good guys. I just can't really see them as good guys in my stories. This isn't to say I don't like reading stories where they are good, just that I don't think I can write them as good instead of bad.

A Guest chapter 14 . Sep 1

Eh, I wouldn't say overpowered for Pearl and Jasper, they are as they should be. I personally think Ember is not OP either.

However what you said in the author's note made me think, that even while not taking into account magic, perhaps Ember might be a little bit OP because she seems to have some special abilities of two diamonds (or perhaps my Steven Universe knowledge is a bit rusty). Not that I really care about her being a little bit OP if she was, it's only natural after all that someone with the abilities from both worlds gains some kind of advantage and I particularly like it in this case.

Me: Honestly, I wasn't sure what abilities to give her since we never seen a Green Diamond in the show Steven Universe. So I just gave her a mix and max of some of the Diamond abilities. Mostly Yellow Diamond and Pink Diamond along with a few from Steven himself. Anyways she still has to learn how to use them and also discover different ways to use them than the normal way.

Cyan-Snake chapter 4 . Sep 5

:/ Why rush into that? Just finish reading your books, get a place to live, set yourself up so you can live comfortably, THEN make a gem, for some reason.

Me: Keep in mind, Ember was eight and eight year olds aren't normally rational. She was also excited at the idea of having someone care for her besides house elves. Another reason is because I was impatient but all turned out well. We all adore Pearl our little fashion designer.

Onto the story!

Ember stared up at Pearl and Jasper from the couch, "Okay so I'll need to learn how to use these powers, just because I have them doesn't mean I know how to use them obviously."

Pearl nodded, "That's a very good idea My Diamond. Now me and Jasper will explain the special abilities our tests said we had."

Ember sat straight up, she would finally learn what her friends could do.

"First up is Holographic Projection, I can use my gem to produce holograms, I normally only use this when I'm trying to get a peace of clothing right." Pearl's gem then lit up and shot out a beam of light that then turned into a Hologram of a very pretty dress before it disappeared into a cloud of pixels.

"That's so cool! I wish I could do that!" Ember said making Pearl beam in pride that her Diamond wished she could do something that She, a pearl, could do.

This was why she and Jasper adored their little Diamond, she was also showing praise and kindness to the two of them.

"I can also use the Holograms to make Duplicites of myself which is what Selp-Duplication is, it takes a bit of concentration and I'm still not the best at it."

Ember was awed when realizing that Pearl could copy herself, that was so cool. She couldn't wait to figure out the three last abilities her two gems had.

"Psammokinesis is where I can manipulate sand, I can't control a lot of sand at once so most Pearls just ignore this ability from what I know."

"What if the reason you can't control a lot of sand is because the Pearls you remember never practiced? I've read that Pearl's weren't allowed to fight and were mostly servents for their Diamonds in my book, what if the Sand ability was a way for a Pearl to defend herself? You might just need practice!"

Pearl stared at her Diamond in surprise, she had never thought of that before. What if the reason Pearl's Psammokinesis was so weak was that it was meant to help a Pearl defend herself and they weren't allowed to use it? She would have to Practice with it and see if she could make it grow stronger.

"While Pearl thinks on that let me explain my abilities and then she can explain her last special ability okay?."

"Okay Jasper!"

Jasper chuckled, who knew that all it took to make their Diamond act her age was telling her about the special abilities that each gem has?

"With Comet Charge I can charge at my enemies with alarming speed and power, I can use it to break through several layers of hard rock. Whenever I use this move I get a fiery aura around me."

"Spin Dash is where I can turn myself into a spinning ball, I roll around in a ball shape and attack enemies kind of like comet charge. Other gems have this attack too but they don't normally have Comet Charge."

"Whoa, those sound super strong!" Jasper laughed as she nodded. Pearl finally snapped out of her shock and explained her final power, "Interdimensional Storage is kind of like Gem Storage but I can actually store people inside my gem, there are different copies of me in there that help me sort everything."

"Whoa, so I could go in your gem?"

"Well I mean yes you could, but it's not ideal."

Ember nodded in understanding, it would probably be super weird but it was good to know.

"Now how about you open up the gift the goblins at Gringots gave you."

Ember lit up and grabbed the present, ripping the wrapping paper off it before lifting the lid up, she breathed out in awe. "Whoa."

"What is it My Diamond?" Pearl walked over and peeked in, eyes widening as she covered her mouth with a gasp. "Oh my!"

"What is it?" Jasper asked, wondering what could be so surprising. Ember reached into the box and slowly lifted up the object that was inside.

It was a silver tiara, it looked like it was made of white gold. It had a Heart shaped, green diamond in the middle, with several tiny white diamonds surrounding it. The sides and back of the crown had small tiny gems going down it, some green, some white, and some were even a very pretty teal color.

Jasper stared at the tiara that the Goblins gave her Diamond shocked, they must truly like her a lot. After all, they had just handed her a small fortune in that crown.

Ember noticed a small note still in the box and carefully set the tiara down on the pillow cousin beside her before she reached in and grabbed it.

Dear Princess Ember

We here at Gringotts know that you do not yet have a crown to signify your importance. We could not let this continue considering how important you are so we gathered up our best metal worksmen, jewelry makers, and enchanters to create this Tiara.

The tiara is charmed to never dull and to never lose any of the gems currently situated on it. It is also charmed to keep you protected, each and every gem has been charmed to store magic and then use that magic to create a shield whenever you are in danger. This should keep you safe from most spells.

It is also charmed to turn invisible to those you do not want to see it. It can be seen by everyone, no one, or a few select people of your choosing. This is so you will be able to wear the Tiara at all times.

It's also charmed so no one but you will be able to take the Tiara off of your head once you put it on.

May your kingdom grow and your family thrive,

King Ragnok.

Ember was shocked, the king of the entire goblin race had made her a priceless Tiara. The tiara was worth millions, maybe even a billion gallons and yet they gave it to her for free, for her birthday.

She lifted it up and stared into the shiny green diamond. If she put this on it would mean she was accepting that she was a princess. It would mean more responsibility. But would it really be all that different from what she did now? She made sure Pearl, Jasper, and all her house elves and employees were well taken care of.

She made sure to employ magicals that otherwise couldn't find jobs and made sure they had enough money for food and a place to stay.

She made sure to keep good relations with Gringotts while also making investments for her future. She made sure Pearl and Jasper were taken care of and always treated her house-elves like family.

Ember took a deep breath before she put the tiara on, it flashed as its magic recognized her as its intended owner before settling down back into the tiara.

TimeSkip to September first

Ember stared at the shiny red train with wide eyes, it was beautiful. She understood why the children of the magical world didn't take portkeys or the floo to Hogwarts now. It wasn't just because the Muggleborns couldn't use portkeys or the floor from their homes, the purebloods would have been quick to have their children be allowed to use magical transport if that was the case.

No, it was because the train was beautiful, it was also a way for the kids to meet others their own age and make friends before school started.

Ember turned to Pearl and Jasper, "I'm going to miss you two so much!" Pearl hugged her before handing her to Jasper, "Oh, we'll miss you too Ember, remember to write everyday okay?" Ember laughed, "Maybe not everyday but I'll write often promise!" She then rushed onto the train and found an empty compartment.

She had already sent Hedwig off ahead so she wouldn't be stuck in a cage the entire ride. She quickly enlarged her trunk and grabbed a book on potions out before she shrunk it and put the trunk back in her pocket.

She sat down, feeling the weight of the Tiara on the top of her head as she started reading.

She had used the feature to hide it from those she didn't want to see it. Only the Goblins at the bank, her house-elves, Pearl, and Jasper could see it so far.

Soon enough the train started moving as Ember got sucked into her potions book, trying to memorize everything since she heard the Potions Professor was an ass to kids not in Slytherin. He had better start to shape up or else as owner of the castle she would kick him out.

She was startled when the door to her compartment was yanked open. "Have you seen a toad, someone named Neville has lost his-Oh what book is that? I haven't seen that one before. Can I borrow it?" The girl had bushy brown hair, bucked teeth, and a few freckles scattered about her face. She reached to grab Ember's book before she snapped out of her shock and pulled it to her chest.

"One, no I have not seen a toad around here. Have you ever thought of knocking by the way? What if I had been changing into my hogwarts robes? That was very rude. Also no you may not borrow my book, I do not know you and the fact that you started reaching for the book, as if to grab it out of my hands is very concerning to me."

The girl huffed, "You're the one being rude, just let me borrow the book."

"I do not know you, I do not know your name, please leave you will not be getting my book." The bushy-haired girl glared at her before storming off, slamming the door behind her.

Ember got up and quickly started changing into her Hogwarts robes but as she was pulling her shirt on the door was slammed open again and she looked up with wide eyes. "GET OUT YOU PERVERT!" She recognized the two as Ron Weasley and her stupid brother.

She quickly pulled her shirt all the way down before turning around and running out of the compartment. She grabbed a prefect, Percy Weasley, and told them that his brother and Damien Potter just barged in on her changing without knocking and asked him if he would lock the compartment for her.

He was so shocked he agreed and followed her back to her compartment, giving his brother a small disappointed look. Both boys were blushing up a storm and avoiding looking at Ember. Percy locked the door for her, making sure she knew how to unlock it before he dragged the two boys away.

Ember spent the rest of the train ride in silence, reading her book. She put it back in her trunk when the train stopped before putting the trunk in her pocket again. She refused to let anyone handle her trunk but her, Pearl, Jasper, or her house elves.

She knew if she left the trunk on the train then Hogwarts house elves would take it inside but she also knew they listened to the headmaster. He would probably try to break into her trunk to place charms on her things if she left her trunk with the house elves here.

It didn't matter that he couldn't get in it since she had the Goblins upgrade her security on it for a price of one hundred gallons. Expensive but so worth it.

She followed the other children out of the train and down to a giant man who kept shouting for the first years. She recognized him as Hagrid, the keeper of the keys for Hogwarts. He was also the gamekeeper, in charge of making sure the grounds were healthy and clear.

He led the kids down a dirt trail to the lake with these old wooden boats. Ember scrunched up her nose at how they looked. They looked ancient, there was a high chance that they could sink at any point but she got in one anyways when told to.

She was sitting with a girl with long blond hair held back in a french braid, Saphfire eyes that glittered in the starlight, who introduced herself as Daphnee Greengrass. The other girl had shoulder-length black hair with brown caramel eyes, she said her name was Tracy Davis.

They asked her for her name and she said her name was Ember, she didn't mention her last name which was something the girls noticed. When asked what house she wanted to be in, she said Ravenclaw. She explained that it was either Ravenclaw or Slytherin.

"And what's so wrong with being a Slytherin?" Daphne asked with a raised eyebrow.

Ember smiled an innocent smile, "What true Slytherin goes into that house? That's just telling the world that they need to keep a close eye on what I do, what with all the rumors on how bad Slytherin's are these days."

The two girls gained slightly thoughtful looks as they listened to her explanation.

"My last name might also have something to do with it though, you'll find out later I assume." Ember climbed out of the boat, offering a hand to both girls to help them climb out, and looked up at the castle.

Time to get sorted
