N did not say a word when he held Hilda in his arms, only waited for her to calm down as she cried. He tried not to pry too much on her features or allow his mind to make estimated guesses on what had happened to her. He knew she would tell him when she was ready. In waiting for that, he would hold her. He would run his hand through her rich-chocolate color hair and not speak a word till he is asked to.
The Pokémon around them had acted, with N watching as his Archeops and Zoroark collect Hilda's bag and the belt that held her Pokéballs. All five of the Pokémon were released, allowed to roam as N held their Trainer. He saw each of them were fully evolved and healthy, raised so that they were the best versions of themselves. Part of him realized he shouldn't be shocked by that considering who their trainer was. The Pokémon looked at him and were quick to approach, the Emboar being the fastest out of them and the most visibly worried.
N's Zoroark stepped in the way of it though. Words were shared. The Dark Type explained all it could that happened recently within the room. That was when Hilda's team noticed the two Legendary Pokémon. While the others were in awe at the sight, the Emboar was not pleased from what it was told. Reshiram's voice echoed through the room, speaking in a remorseful tone as it tried to explain that the girl seemed to be a threat towards N. It also tried to explain that it did so, hoping to push for Zekrom to appear by attacking her. It stopped talking when the Emboar used Ember, spitting out a wad of flame to the Legendary Dragon face. It was not very effective, yet it met its mark.
It seemed Hilda raised her Pokémon to be as rude and courageous as her. The Emboar had effectively spat in the face of a creature twice its height and had enough power to wipe out an entire region. All because Legendary pissed it off. N watched as all the other Pokémon halted their movement; they had become frightful of what the response would be from the White Dragon.
All except Zekrom, who began laughing.
While Reshiram was mostly controlled in its manners and with its speaking, Zekrom was its opposite. Static filled along with its words, the creatures voice was constantly raising and lowering pitch the more excited it became. With an electrifying voice, it mocked its other half.
Reshiram wiped the burn mark from its face as attempted to speak to Zekrom, to demand an answer on why it decided to appear now. The Black Dragon said it overslept. Reshiram continued to try and interrogate Zekrom, but each question was bushed off with a sly comment or another attempt at a joke.
N had stopped paying attention to them, returning his focus to the girl in his arms. It was uncanny to be in such a situation for them both. He had expected to give his monologue and for them to go to their final battle against each other as soon as she entered the room. While at some point he did wish for her to be in his arms, it was meant to be after the battle, if he had won. Not like this.
Eventually minutes would pass, approaching that of an hour of him and her standing together and holding each other with neither making a move to separate.
While the dragons continued to bicker, the rest of the Pokémon had found an alternative way to pass the time. Where his Zoroark found a deck of cards, N didn't know. How did all ten of the Pokémon know how to play poker, he also didn't know. What he did know was that Hilda was finally speaking again, as that was when she called out his name in a faint whisper. "Are you okay, do you need medical help?" He'd whispered back to her, not wishing to push too hard on her for an answer. She was slow in answering through speaking, instead shaking her head while her face was still pressed against his chest.
He hesitated when he was about to ask what had caused her to cry so much. It allowed an opening for someone to intervene. "Lord N, what is the meaning of this?" The King allowed himself to whisper a curse under his breath as he looked toward the Archway that led into the throne room. He saw Ghetsis standing there. A curious look was worn on the older man's face as his eye trailed over the room.
It lingered on the Pokémon, especially upon the dragons, before turning towards him and Hilda. "I had come to see what was taking so long. I see that the holder of the Dark Stone was able to summon forth Zekrom. Impressive feat, I must admit. But I had thought by now that the two of you would be battling, instead you are both just standing here?" He held out a hand towards them in a gesture, a brow raised as if that amplified his implied accusation.
There was going to be an answer, an explanation of what happened but N was stopped. Hilda's fingers dug more into him, threatening to tear through both his shirts and even his skin as her nails sunken into him. When she began to shake in his arms, he thought she was sobbing again or that she was shaking from fear. She wasn't.
He could hear it in her breathing and could feel it in how she moved in his arms. She didn't pull away enough to let go of him, but he could see her face. Her eyes stared directly to his chest, her teeth clenching tightly together. N was reminded of a Houndour he once treated long ago from it.
She was holding herself back, possibly to keep herself from doing something she'd regret. She was whispering something, so quietly he couldn't even make out fully what she said but they seemed along the lines of very distasteful words.
N could imagine several reasons why she would want to lass out at the man; after all the King himself had a few choice words to share with the Sage. But he didn't even wish to look at Ghetsis, he wanted to focus on Hilda and only on her so she could tell him if something was wrong. Leave it to his father to not take a hint.
"My Lord, look at her. Clearly the holder of the Dark Stone is in no state to stop you. This is your chance." With years of hearing the man's voice, N is able to sense the double meaning behind each carefully constructed word that was meant to push him towards the Sage's plans. Some days N would have more patience than others and let the older man speak his part on whatever he chose to lecture on about at the time. Today was not one of those days.
Feeling his fingers twitch along on Hilda's hips, N takes a long deep breath to calm himself down. Unintentionally taking in Hilda's scent due to her being so close. Of course, she smelled wonderful.
"With Reshiram, you had power before but now with Zekrom, you are practically unstoppable. We already had set up the labs, it is our chance, my Lord! We have infiltrated the Pokémon Storage System and could take from all the Trainer's in the region! We have beaten the Strongest champions that anyone could offer, and now you have two Legendary Pokémon. All that is required of us now is to be rid of this Trainer and the world we-Team Plasma have always wanted will come true. An example for thos-"
"Get out."
"Excuse me?" Ghetsis had turned his back to them in the middle of a theatrical speech. When he turned around to face N once again, he was met by the ten Pokémon and the two Legendary Dragons glaring at him. "I said, get out." N repeated himself. He didn't raise his voice; he didn't lower it. He simply spoke as clearly and directly as he could. "Leave my throne room, right now, or an example will be made of someone that opposed me right now."
It was a new sight for N, watching the man that raised him taking a step backward as the usually controlled confidence in Ghetsis had diminished significantly. "Now hold a moment, Lord N I-" Flames nearly scorched him to ash in that instant where he attempted to speak, leaving a large black soot that covered the ground by his feet.
Zekrom began to laugh again as Reshiram lowered its head and bared its teeth, flames still seeping from the white dragon's maw.
Slowly Ghetsis bowed his head. "I forget my place, my Lord. Please forgive me. I shall let you and your opponent be and return only after the battle." He tried to hide the quake in his voice as he spoke. Tried to make it appear as if he hadn't gone pale when the flames were aimed at his direction from the sudden attack.
The King tried to think of something to say as he watched his father exit the room, that there was some poignant line to follow as a response to what the man said. When the doors to the Archway closed though, nothing came out of him. N allowed the silence to just linger as he looked back down to Hilda. The girl was staring up at him, stricken with awe.
"You really do sound like a King at times." She told him, letting out a breathless chuckle as she carefully pulled from his arms. He did the same, with both standing at an arm's length from each other as he gave a reply. "I had a lot of practice."
Panning his eyes over her body one more, he again tried to see if there was anything wrong with her but still found that physically she seemed fine. "Tell me what happened to you."
Hilda sucked in her lips and broke eye contact, obviously trying to find her own wording. From the corner of his vision, he could see their Pokémon. The Reuniclus and Cofagrigus held guilt ridden looks on their faces as they noticed them talking. "I had sent my Zoroark to keep an eye on you." N allowed a smile to show on his face, as her eyes snapped back to look at him.
"You did what?!"
"I only did it to make sure you were safe. I am aware of the things you did against Team Plasma, so I had sent my friend to protect you in case you were in real danger. I had the pleasure of learning of the Sage's attempt to be rid of you, and of my sisters grooming you for…" He trailed off, coughing into his hand trying to hold within the chuckle at how quickly her face turned a shade of crimson. "I would like to apologize about that. When I had told them what I had planned for you and me today, I suppose that they had misunderstood how I had wanted it done. I hope it was not too much for you."
She seemed to calm down with his apology, enough that her face began less flush as she spoke. "Which part was too much? The creepy talking together part, the whole sudden make-over for me, or in that they were trying to put me in a wedding dress." She didn't seem to be able to meet his eyes the more she spoke. Possibly too embarrassed about what had happened. Something he could not blame her for.
"All of those parts. They can be rather much at times. But trust me, they do mean well. If it makes you feel better, they have attempted to dress me up as well when I had told them about you."
"I think you would look nice in the dress."
"No, that wasn't what I meant-" N stopped as she was smiling while she reached for her hat that had dropped to the floor. Smiling was good, it meant progress. Meaning he could ask her the more difficult questions. Least that was what it seemed.
It almost hurt to see that smile leave Hilda's face as she spoke. "They told me a lot of stuff. About how they were raised, how you were raised as his kid." It did hurt to have those old memories brought up. N tried not to let his emotions show as she spoke out, tried to make it seem he wasn't bothered by what happened, as he was trained to. "Honestly, I don't even know what to say as they told me it all. How he tried to have them marry you." He failed. He flinched at the memory. One part of a long lists of things he would rather never remember. "They also told me about how you used to care for hurt Pokémon." Again, another part of that list.
He tried to speak to her about it, but she held a hand up over his mouth. "Please, just let me talk. Cause if you start, you're not going to end." She spoke about how she had entered his old room, and how she saw how it was. Full of old toys and scratch marks, and ghosts. "And not like my Nugget, eh...my Cofagrigus I mean, it was like something itself was wrong with the room. I've felt warmer walking through snow villages and a literal giant freezer than in that room. I was angry and confused, and I just wanted to get you more. To understand you."
Even as she pulled her hand from his face, he still didn't speak up. Waiting on her to give him permission, all he did was tilt his head. Using the gesture to question her. "Your sisters talked about some cryptic stuff, because I had a Psychic Type and a Ghost Type with me. Allowing me to experience a feeling, or something like that. I took out my Pokémon and asked them to do exactly that. To make me experience it." She closed her eyes and took a step forward, pressing her head upon his chest once more. "I felt my bones break. I felt my skin burn. I felt sicken with poison. And I died so many times."
N's hands laid upon her shoulders and pushed her back, just enough so that he could see her face. The eyes were already red from crying, wet as more tears threatened to fall from them. Hilda held them back, as she sucked in a breath to keep talking. "You were there to treat me, as best you could. And there were plenty of times you did. We played and had fun. With the train or basketball or playing tag on your little skate ramp." She spoke of things she couldn't possibly know about.
What had happened in that room was a secret only known to himself and Ghetsis, and yet Hilda said things as if she was there. Obviously, N was very doubtful his father would ever tell her of such things. He attempted to stop her by calling her name and even attempting to mimic her by covering her mouth with his hand. She tore from his touch when he did so. "You weren't always able to save me. And I die in your arms with you crying over me. Saying sorry, over and over again. Because we were friends, and you couldn't save me."
Memories ran through his head when Ghetsis would come into his room with Pokémon that have been abused by their Trainers. The cases of injury varied greatly between each of them. Currently as a man, he had learned so much that he could run a Pokémon-center if given the chance. As a boy though, he knew little. Something that would seem trivia to him now was devastating during his childhood. Not to mention the lack of proper supplies he had back then.
When the more grievously injured Pokémon were brought in, some were not able to live past a few days at most, a few hours at the least. It didn't get easier losing his friends. N remembered screaming at Ghetsis why it would happen, why he kept bringing in Pokémon that would die. His father would tell him it was part of his training, to know these Pokémon needed his help. That a strong King needed to know his subjects were in pain. And N learned much.
Which only made him wonder how Hilda learned of this pain, to know it in such detail as to speak as if she has had first-hand experience with it. What was worse was in trying to ask such a question how it was possible, he couldn't even form the words. The King was left silent, ingrained within the memories in his head and how they became twisted with Hilda's words as his overactive imagination messed with his thoughts. Picturing Hilda crippled or dying as he would attempt to treat her.
Such thoughts made him nearly heave. "I'm telling you this, so you can know that I understand you. That I can finally see why you're doing all this." Hilda's hands came upon his. "I know how you were raised, and I know what really pushes you on, Natural." N blinked his eyes, fighting through his tightening throat.
"Is this real?" He asked, as it almost seemed like a dream at that point. Truth was that he wanted Hilda to understand him for months. He wanted her to see why he was doing all he was doing so that she could join him one day. Now that it was happening, he was at a loss as it didn't at all sound like her. This tone, this gentleness.
"I don't want to battle you. I just want to be your friend." Her voice is as low as a whisper, yet she seemed happy to say the words. "I know people have been really unfair to you. That they just don't get what you are trying to say. I've been doing nothing but listening to you talk for months, for over a year even. And we've battled so many times already and where does it go? Nowhere. Nothing changed between us after each one. What is one more going to do?"
N could see the pleading in Hilda's eyes at this point, that she truly meant what she said. "We can talk about this. Your sisters tell me that even you don't believe some of the Team Plasma Tauroshit. I am a Trainer, someone that brings harm to Pokémon for my personal gain or whatever it is Team Plasma spews out on a daily basis, and I should be one of the people you hate most of all and you don't! I know you don't, and I don't hate you either. I want to stop you, Natural. Not because I think you're wrong for trying all this, but because I know you'll regret it!"
Placing his hands upon her shoulders, he glances behind her, towards their Pokémon. Her Team looked worried and full of dread for their Trainer's well-being. His Team looked confused on what was to happen, waiting on his next orders. Reshiram was looking down at them, and slowly nodded its head. Its blue eyes had turned soft, and it lowered its head. A sign that it will do whatever he told it.
Zekrom gave a tilt of its head with a curious grin. Electricity sparking from its form with each breath it took, showed that it was itching for a call to action. N found it fitting for the Hero it chose as he was aware of Hilda's love of winning Battles. Yet that made everything so unreal. Hearing Hilda not wanting to fight and giving him the choice of not needing to see his friends be hurt was a dream come true. He wanted to agree with her, he was ready to make the compromises with her if he won after all. But…
This was not a victory. This was not a defeat. This was nothing at all what he worked for, what Team Plasma's goal was for. Every battle he faced, every friend he led to getting hurt, every Gym Badge he earned, every friend he said goodbye to; would it all just amount to him stopping and turning to a different path at the last moment?
What would the others think? Ghetsis alone was a headache, the Sages he couldn't care less about, but of the people that work under them? The grunts that made up most of Team Plasma's workflow.
How many would just see him lacking faith and leave or even rebel? How much influence would he lose across the region if he just stepped down from his plans? Taking a different path could lead to the same goal but it would just take too much time for him to regain all the political power he gained. As a champion he would be harder to ignore, compared to just some spokesman, and he was already deep in the process of it.
All the time it would take for him to go down this new path…
N also knew the number of Pokémon suffering will only increase during that time. He had learned much on his journey when it comes to Pokémon cruelty. Chemical testing, enforcement of performances, slaughterhouses, hunting for commercial value, hardcore 'nuzlocke' battles. Just the thought of it had N tightly closing his eyes in horror. How much more time would awful people have to do such things?
He was so close to his goal. Just a single battle. He'll be damned if at least he didn't say he tried. Not while there was still so much for him to do.
"No."
She was shocked, her eyes had widened to show it. How he enjoyed staring at those blue marbles. "No. There is not going to be anymore talking. We came here, both of us to do this, for one last battle for the fate of Pokémon in all the region."
"What are you talking about? You hate battling! We don't need to do it anymore; we can just talk and figure this all out." The hurt in her eyes only grew as she tried to step closer to him, and he moved backwards in response.
He didn't want to hurt her. He didn't want to hurt anyone. But as a King he had to make tough choices. "Whether I want it or not is irrelevant. You think I will regret what will happen if I win, but you don't know that. I don't even know that. I worked too hard for this. We've worked too hard for this." He gestured to himself and her to illustrate his point. "What I will regret is if I turn away now! If I just leave it right now when I am so close to finally getting what I always dream of. I need to fight for it."
"Helix damn it, Natural. Why are you always so stubborn!?" She shouted as the hurt in her eyes faded and was replaced by rage. "So, we're just going to battle? Our fucking eyes lock and we just going to do this, huh!? I already beat you four times in a row, last I checked. Why even bother with a fifth!?"
That much was a fact. He always did lose to her skill as a Trainer. "Each time we battled, you won fair and square. Between the two of us, obviously you are better at it. But it is not about winning at this point." She stomped forward this time and threw an arm up towards him. It wasn't for a hug that time.
N was grabbed by the collar of his shirt and forced to hunch down so that his face was at Hilda's level. It was an interesting experience being so close to her face, feeling her breathing, being able to stare into her eyes, seeing her lips move as she snarled at him. "Then what is the fucking point of it than!?" He had to blink his eyes, resisting some primal urge in him to react to her being so close.
Truly, he had found his queen.
"Hilda, I have to try. If I lose, then I lose. But if I win, then I can do so much. But I can't just take it. I must earn it. Please. If you really want to be my friend, then please do me this one favor." Their faces were but centimeters apart, and he could see the wide range of emotions run through her as she was trying to figure what to do. Anger, regret, sorrow, fear, affection, and anger again.
She shoved hard and it was so sudden N was nearly knocked off his feet, but he was quick to catch himself. When he looked back, he saw she was walking towards her team of Pokémon. "My dad was a champion of a Pokémon League once." She spoke out while she looked over each of her team, checking a final time if they were battle ready.
When his own team moved to his side, he responded to her sudden change of topic. "I did not know that. The Shadow Triad told me things about you and your mother but had nothing to offer about your father." Her Emboar was trying to comfort her, holding one of its claws to her shoulder. She gently shook her head as she pushed its touch away.
"It was a long time ago, not even in this Region. It was before I was even born. He was 11 years old when he started his journey. Three years younger than me." Hilda paused as she fixed the hat on her head, trying to hide the shame she was showing. Of what it was, N couldn't tell. Would it be of who her father was, or her measuring herself to him, he didn't know. "My dad wanted to be the best. Like no one ever was."
"The old Trainer motto."
"Believe it or not, I think he started it." She scoffed at saying those words, while slowly turning to face him. Her eyes had a look of disbelief in them he couldn't describe. "It took him sixteen days, nine hours, fifty-five minutes, and four seconds. Had put a timer and everything when he left his home. In less than a fucking month he traveled his whole region and beaten so many people." Holding her hand to her face, she started to chuckle. "Ever heard of Team Rocket?"
N said the first words that came to his mind, as what he knew of the old organization. "A crime organization that focused on Pokémon in the name of profit. With ties in both stealing and the illegal genetic manipulation of Pokémon." Something Ghetsis wanted him to learn during his early years as the man considered them to be a threat. More than 15 years ago though it was disbanded as the leader went into hiding. Hilda continued to chuckle when he told her this. "Dad made them his bitch before his balls even dropped. And Pokémon-" She rolled her eyes in an exaggerated fashion. "-they were as odd as his names for them. His Venemoth was named ATV of all things."
"Like a mountain bike?"
She took a glance behind herself towards Zekrom with the Legendary Pokémon looking down at her with a smile on its face and lighting sparking off its body. "You remind me of one of them." She told it while giving her own smile, before turning back towards N. "My dad is clinically insane and is in a mental hospital back in Kanto." The way she spoke the words so casually and with a shrug of her shoulders bewildered N so much that he leaned back from the shock. "Yeah, that's usually the reaction when people find out. Well, usually I tell them he's dead or went out to marry a Gardevoir or whatever. Not stuck in a padded room dealing with voices in his head."
"Why are you telling me this? At least, why are you telling me this now?" N asked as he tried to figure Hilda's angle by revealing this personal information to him, which seemingly came right out of nowhere.
"Because look at this. I mean my dad was some kid trying to be the champion, yet he caught a legendary and disrupted an entire organization bent on stealing Pokémon. And my mom just happened to have a thing for stubborn, hat-wearing morons with odd names. I really am my parents' kid."
N raised an eyebrow at her second sentence. "What does that second part have to do with anything?" His head snapped forward, as a pain flared in the back of his skull. Glaring behind him at the cause, he saw his Zoroark holding its paw up. A showing that it had slapped him upside his head with it. The hit was so sudden and quick, that it had caused N's cap to be pushed forward, causing the front to fall more into his vision and be more noticeable. The realization dawned on him rather quickly after that.
He turned back to her and opened his mouth to speak, but the words died in his throat as Zekrom had stepped forward and let out a low growl. One that spoke of challenge, that a battle was to be done. He hesitated at first, looking past the Dragon towards Hilda. She was staring back at him. There was a level of intensity in her eyes, showing that she wanted the battle done as quickly as possible. That she was furious at all it was to happen.
Reshiram didn't need to be ordered to step forward towards its other half. It just did what it felt right to do as flames started to form from its body, radiating with power like the Black Dragon's lighting. Though N knew it must be done, he didn't enjoy it. Still, he always had a habit of getting the last word in. "Then now, I will create the future I desire! I shall sweep you before me!" He shouted out, readying himself to battle. He tried to focus on all the things he wanted. A world of free Pokémon, where they never need to fear being enslaved. A world that he is able to control and regulate, teaching those that battle was not needed. A world where he will take Hilda's hand in marriage.
The young Trainer's voice had cut through such thoughts.
"Once upon a time, the Helix roamed. His champion was a force of might. He walked the Victory Road; thought he was the best. More challenges came, but he never was impressed. Still more roads to walk, he said, always one more test. A silver mountain was climbed as he waited and time passed by till a child came, having followed his path. Facing the march of time, the champion asked the boy, can you be the one? The one who'll make my work undone? But the silence was gold and there was no more prattle. A proving of strength was done. The champion had lost." She spoke very unlike herself, as if reciting a tale that was told to her. "Years passed and the roles have changed. Now the Helix no longer roams, and a girl follows a champion's path. She walked the Victory Road; thought she was the best. More challenges came, but she never was impressed. Still more roads to walk, she said, always one more test. A gold palace was climbed as she stood before a King. Facing the march of time, the King asked the girl, can you be the one? The one who'll make my work undone? But silence is gold and there was no more prattle. To prove her strength to him, Trainer Hilda wants to Battle."
It stunned him for a moment upon hearing those words. He even saw several of her Pokémon giving her odd looks at such a thing she said, except Zekrom who was chuckling at the tale. "You're not the only one that can say cryptic shit before a battle! Zekrom, Thunder Fang!" The legendary Black Dragon's chuckle turned to a full-blown laughter as it rushed forward with a surprising burst of speed for a creature it's size.
Reshiram was taken by surprise at the sudden attack, it couldn't react in time as Zekrom's maw had opened wide and blue electricity sparking from its fangs. Reshiram's throat was chomped onto and was hit with enough of a high current to power an entire city coursing through its body. The white Dragon's roar of pain was cut short as it was dragged downward. Its head met the stone flooring of the room. Already the battle had begun, and N's lead Pokémon was on the floor, part of him realized he shouldn't be that shocked. It served as a reminder of who he was fighting.
"Reshiram, Extrasensory!" N quickly called out, and the White Dragon listened. With a glow of its eyes in a bright blue, pure psychic unseeable power was unleashed with the force so strong that it forced Zekrom's to lose the grip as it was thrown upward into the air. The throne room itself shook as the dragon's body collided with the ceiling though it caught itself in mid-air, using its massive wings to stay airborne. A joy of excitement was in its eyes as it looked down to its other half. With it continuing to laugh as Reshiram picked itself back up to its feet.
"Do you really think you can stop us with that?" N asked Hilda, already he can see her trying to work out a plan. Trying to know how to use her Pokémon's strengths versus his own. By now, he could tell her plans consist only of one thing. "Nope. But I'll just keep hitting it till I can find out what can! Fusion Bolt!" She screamed out her command of an attack, and he did the same. "Fusion Flare!"
The room erupts into an explosion of power, of blue electricity and red flames, A matching of powers that seemingly caused the entire castle to shake. Blow met blow; power met power. It was nearly enough to send the two Trainer's nearly flying off their feet if not their other Pokémon around to help them stand their ground. Nearly had shattered their eardrums and boiled them alive as the use of Protect been made by each team. Such a battle was being made with that of Pokémon that could wipe entire regions from the map. And it was only the start of it.
"My Sisters told him my throne room needed more light. That the way it had looked was too gloom for the type of personality and image that I wanted to have for himself. They even suggested that I should possibly make a skylight." N commented as he surveyed the room around them. Or rather what was left of it.
There practically was no room anymore. What walls covered it were all but destroyed, even the ceiling was gone. It almost looked as if a massive sized creature had taken a bite from the castle itself. "Well, you're welcome. Now you have more than enough light coming in." Hilda said, as she had picked herself up from the floor. While the room was in shambles, the two Trainers within were not much better. Being so close to a Pokémon Battle, especially in an enclosed room, tends to make a mess of a person. Their clothing had been scuffed up with the blasts of Pokémon's abilities and with them having to rush around to give proper orders. Still, they were both still standing and only looked a little wary at most, the same could not be said for their Pokémon though.
The two Legendary Dragons, Reshiram and Zekrom, were both unconscious on either side of the room. Having rendered each other in such a state through their battle against each other that had lasted up to a full hour. Sometimes following their Trainer's orders, other times allowing their instinct to take over. It was them that were the most responsible for the disrepair of the room, with the two Dragon's power just being too much to be contained in one location.
'We should be lucky that they didn't destroy the whole castle.' Hilda had said once they had checked the two creatures would recover with no serious injury. N had chuckled with her, and it made the girl's heart swell at such a thing. Too bad he still managed to infuriate her with his stubbornness. Even when he joked back, saying he had thought she would have been the lucky one as she had wanted to destroy the castle herself. She laughed; it was the brief moment for the tension to die down before they continued her battle.
With the two Dragons having knocked each other out, that had left five Pokémon for each of them to use. It was not easy, like with each of their battles before. Both of their strengths showed brighter than ever before. N's constant changing of tactics met with Hilda's headstrong will. Yet there was a certain calmness to the battling. While the pressure ranged on, with each Pokémon defeated, neither was quick to end the entire battle as soon as possible. During it, they would be quick to command their Pokémon for a victory; sure, but once the exact battle was done a short pause would be made for the Pokémon themselves.
In most, close to any other Pokémon battle done by rival Trainers, it would continue on till the creatures would either faint from the conflict or they would emerge as the winner through some ruling. This battle was different, something N had learned when Hilda allowed him to call back his Carracosta after it was badly hurt by her Ferrothorn.
Aside from Reshiram and Zekrom, none of their Pokémon had really fainted. Harmed with needing of nursing for some harsh injuries, yes. But if asked, they would push on for one final battle if needed too. They were hurt, but not fainted.
As of now, both trainers were both down to their final Pokémon. N's Zoroark against Hilda's Emboar.
"Last chance to call it quits now, Natural." She told him as plainly as possible as her Emboar gave a snort, having just beaten the Klinklang that N was helping move back towards the other hurt Pokémon. N spoke a few whispered words to his Zoroark, of what she couldn't tell but it did place her on edge. While she had the advantage with the typing of her Team, N's clever tactics had really placed her on the backfoot and had almost caused her to second guess herself at times. She gives a wary eye towards her own team on her belt her, knowing each of them were hurt in different ways due to those tactics.
Her Emboar was a little ragged from its battle, with it having just faced the Klinklang but it still would be more durable than N's Zoroark. Yet she was smart enough to know that shouldn't be what she relied on. When it comes to speed the Dark-Type clearly has the upper hand. Matching that advantage with N's wit, placed her in serious trouble. "Porkchop, try to keep your eyes on it! Zoroark's are known for being tricky!" She called out to her Emboar, with it nodding its head in acknowledgement.
"My last friend...Please share your courage with me!" At the call the Zoroark creeped forward and stood before it's Trainer. Hilda and her Emboar ready themselves, seeing the mischievous glint in the illusion Pokémon blue eyes as it begins to smile at them. Remembering each of her Emboar's moves, Hilda tried to take initiative.
"Flame Charge!" She calls out.
With a command for it to follow, Emboar used Flame Charge. It attempted to close the distance between itself and the Zoroark as soon as possible. With Hilda's idea being that as the Emboar had cloaked itself with flames, it would provide the Pokémon with some level of protection. However, to her annoyance the Zoroark's speed easily played to affect, with it able to dodge the flaming pig. Hila immediately tries to use a different strategy but falls short as Zoroark uses Taunt.
A trick her Emboar fell for, with it repeatedly trying to ram into the elusive fox Pokémon with Flame Charge again and again, with each attempt ending with the Zoroark easily dodging the Emboar sluggish attacks. "Oh, come on, with this Tauros-shit!" Hilda snarled out in anger. "Go for Arm Thrust!" Seeing as widen reaching attacks weren't working, Hilda attempted to go for more precise ones that would help.
The command seemed to snap the Emboar from the Taunt's effects, as it tried to let loose a flurry of open-palm arm thrusts towards Zoroark, but like with the Flame Charges, each attack was met with more of the Dark-Type dodging. "Ugh, Bianca really was right about fucking dodging." Hilda tried to see a pattern, to follow the Zoroark's quick movements so that she would command her Pokémon for a direct strike; but the more she looked, the more there appeared that there was something she was missing, as she watched the Zoroark's movements. While the Pokémon was fast, it was almost too fast, and N was not giving out any commands for it to do anything. Very unlike him.
Instead, she would see the King silently watching the Battle, without a hint of worry on his face. Just pure resolve as he seemed steadfast for the battle. Her eyes trailed for a moment as she tried to see what he could be thinking, that was when she noticed from the corner of her vision, a hole in the ground. A result from one of the previous Pokémon they had battled with as her Seismitoad had used Dig to gain a victory. The hole was wide enough, enough so that another sneakier Pokémon could even crawl within it to take advantage of-
"That's it!" Snapping her eyes towards the Zoroark, Hilda tries to scan it for something, for any kind of sign. Such as the fact it had lacked a shadow under its feet. She is not able to react fast enough though. "Emboar, use Earthq-"
"Dig!" Just as Hilda's Emboar finally managed to strike the Zoroark, the Fire-Fighting Type's eyes widened as its palm flew through the illusion. As that happened, the real Zoroark burst from the ground and struck the Emboar directly into the stomach with its claws. The blow was heavy, and the Emboar nearly had fallen off its feet. Were it not for its training under Hilda, all the wind would have been knocked from the pig's lungs and it would have fallen to its knees.
Still the Emboar stood as it held an arm over its injured stomach, giving a glare at the smirking Zoroark. "That was a damn dirty trick!" Hilda quickly looked over her Emboar silently being thankful for all those endurance tests she had put it under.
"You need to be more observant if you want to win this. I am not proud of using these methods of victory, but if a King must dirty his hands for his people, he will do so." N had said back with no hesitation. "Zoroark, remember what we spoke of! Keep on the attack, prepare yourself."
The Zoroark nodded, and Hilda could see it taking a deep breath. Emboar pulled its head back in confusion as its opponent had sat itself cross legged on the floor with eyes closed. It moved to attempt to attack, but Hilda commanded it to stop. "No, Porkchop, you need to wait!" She called, already knowing that the Zoroark was using the move, Calm Mind, readying itself to perform more tricks and attacks. But meeting it head-on, wasn't working for her. She was playing to Zoroark's strengths by doing that. "Rushing in is a no-go, Bulk Up! Then use Rock Tomb!"
At the command the Emboar glared at the Zoroark, seeing that it was still sitting and seeming meditating. The pig Pokémon slapped its claws together and moved itself to a wide squat. Following that of Hoenn famous fighting styles, the Emboar raised one of its legs high into the air just to slam it back down to the floor. Enough to make the already busted and broken up platform they were on shudder, loosening up the stone floor even more for what it was going to do next.
Before N would even think of a command, the Emboar threw an arm forward to the ground with so much force that it had caused an explosive effect. Sending out large boulder size chunks of stone out towards the Zoroark.
They hit a body double, breaking it apart into bits of dirt and mud that seemingly held together to form the shape of the Pokémon. "It used Substitute!" Hilda yelled out in warning as the Emboar looked around for its opponent, failing to notice it had already leaped in the air. Least it was till N had commanded it. "Use Swift!" Star-shaped rays are thrown by the air-born Dark type, with the Emboar attempting to block them with its arms, with each inescapable blow causing it to growl in pain. The attack allowed the Zoroark to land back on the ground, keeping its distance from the Pig Pokémon still. Hilda was getting frustrated, knowing what N was doing, trying to beat down her Emboar by playing to her Pokémon's weaknesses.
"My friend, we are close, her Emboar is having issues standing." N spoke as he could see what she could. Her Emboar was very close to its last leg and while it tried to play off the injuries, there were clear signs of damage on its fur and it was swaying a little as it stood. She tried to think up if there was any trick she could do at this point, as she was backed against a wall. This was much worse than the Gym Battles, even the Elite Four didn't pose as much an issue. This was actually difficult for her.
For a moment she remembered how her father did it. How he was even able to defeat a Dragonite with a Venomoth. And suddenly it just made her laugh, as the answer just came to her, remembering the stories told to her as a child.
When in doubt, always pick Anarchy.
She could see N giving her a confused look before he recomposes himself.
"Hilda, it is time we end this-"
"Rest!"
He is stopped as Hilda throws her hand forward and yells out her command first, and her faithful Emboar follows it. Closing its eyes, and immediately falling to sleep on the spot while still standing it's two legs. "You cannot be serious. You made your friend a helpless target." N begrudgingly said, with disappointment obviously showing on his face. "Zoroark, Extrasensory! End this!" With the command, the Dark-Type Pokémon's eyes glowed a bright blue and pure psychic unseeable power was unleashed towards the now sleeping Emboar, resulting in nothing happening. "You missed?! How do you miss?" N questions as a shocked look shows on the Zoroark's face. "Again!"
The Zoroark's eyes glowed again as it attempted to use the Psychic move, but in its attempt to concentrate it was then met with a large cloud of purple smoke that erupted from the sleeping Emboar's mouth. "Smog! Get away from there!" N commanded with the Zoroark leaping to the side in response, coughing as it had breathed in some of the smog. "I see you taught him Sleep Talk. But that means not even you know what it will do." He tried to chastise her in her choices, but Hilda only offered him a shrug.
She could see N was now the one being placed on the backfoot, as her Emboar was resting it was healing, meaning his chances had very much lowered from winning. "Once more again, and please do not miss this time!" Zoroark's eyes glowed for the third time in the row, and this time the Psychic move seemed to connect with the Emboar, causing it to snap its head back as an invisible strike had harmed it. Though it was not ready for the retaliation to come, when suddenly Emboar threw its head back forward, spewing out boiling hot water shoots out of its mouth.
"Whoa, I forgot I even taught him that one." The Zoroark couldn't dodge in time, with it getting hit full force by the Water move. The boiling water went through fur, going directly for the skin that caused the Dark-Type to be burned. Hilda was in sheer amazement of what was even happening, while N grew worried at seeing his friend harmed and rushing to its side.
"Can you still fight?" He asked while crouching down to its side. Though hesitant, the fox Pokémon did give a nod. It was very easy to see though that it was very much harmed when the Scald had burned it. Zoroark's were known for being glass cannons after all. Able to deal damage, but not able to take it. "There is one more idea we can use. I need you to think about the others. About what we worked on together. Our friends, the truth and ideals that we had worked on. Please, for this one last time, I need you to fight." N spoke to his Zoroark, softly and with encouragement. Seeing it, had ruined what little enthusiasm that Hilda had.
The Emboar still stood its ground with eyes closed, still seemingly asleep on its feet. "Maybe you should just stop. You're Zoroark is hurt, and this is not needed. I won." She tried to tell him, almost forgetting that this wasn't like the other battles for a moment. That she was trying to make a friend. N didn't reply to her, he only stood up and gave one more command. "Giga Impact!"
With blinding speed, the Zoroark charged at the Emboar. Using every bit of its power, it strikes its arm directly into the Pig Pokémon's gut. The shockwave of the hit was enough to crack the flooring. To almost be enough to knock out most other Pokémon then and there. Hilda could imagine it, that it would be the winning blow. That N's goal could be realized, and he would have been able to do what he dreamed.
A heavy dose of reality came as the Emboar's arm moved upward and grabbed a hold of the Zoroark by its shoulder. "I'm sorry, Natural. Head Smash." The Emboar's eyes opened, and it smiled at its shocked opponent. She turned her head away as the hazardous, full-power headbutt came down. Trying to ignore the audible hit of skull meeting skull, of the sound the body made as it hit the ground.
She only turned back forward as she heard N speak. "Everything's ruined. The truth I held...The dreams Pokémon shared…" She saw the Zoroark on the floor and her Emboar standing tall and imposing over the defeated Pokémon. N was upon his friend quickly, checking it for injuries. With the others of his team soon joining as they crowd around the King. She could almost imagine what words they were saying to their Trainer. How sorry they were for losing. "It's okay. You did your best. All of you. We all did our best." N was clearly trying to stay strong, but she was able to see the shift in his shoulders. The shame in his voice.
Her Emboar looked back to her, and she nodded her head. A way to show that it did a good job as she returned it to its pokéball. "I guess that is it, huh?" She asked out towards the man. Trying to probe what his reaction would be. While he looked saddened by his loss, and even ashamed, he also appeared to be relieved.
N gave his Zoroark a berry for its burn states before he stood up to look around the room they were in once more. The first thing his eyes fell upon was the Legendary Pokémon he commanded. Seeing the regal looking creature smashed against some rock and unconscious was not a sight he expected to see at any time. Such a state was enough to make him shake his head in disbelief. "Reshiram and I were beaten. Your ideals...Your feelings...They were stronger than mine, it seems…" He allowed an exhausted sigh to leave his lips as he removed his hat from his head and ran a hand through his hair. A clear sign he was as tired as he let on.
"You didn't exactly make things easy for me. Fuck, even still this doesn't seem like a victory for me." She glazed down at her belt that held her team in their pokéballs, mentally thanking them each with a promise to take them immediately to a center when she could.
"Victory." N chuckled to himself at the word. Finding it almost silly to even think about it now. "To be honest, I don't even feel like I lost. I just feel more confused than anything." He helps his Zoroark back to its feet, where the other Pokémon were quick to support its movement.
The King looked at each of friends as they asked him what they were supposed to do now, and he wondered the exact same thing. Commanding them to just stand down and rest, he turns to face Hilda. "Confused about what?" She asked.
"Too many things. Though I suppose that is just the way it is with both of us being chosen by Legendary Dragons of this region. We are both heroes, and yet we are so different." He turns his head to look towards the two unconscious dragons. "One pursues ideals, and one pursues truth. But honestly, which is which at this point..."
He raised a hand up to point at Hilda's dragon. "Mythology says that Zekrom will assist those who want to build an ideal world. Then again, the same mythology also tells that if people lose the righteousness in their hearts, their kingdoms will be razed by Zekrom's lightning."
Hilda rolls her eyes as she lets out a poof of air from her lips, looking at the state of the room they were in. "Looks pretty razed to me. But it seems a little too big of a brain idea for me to follow to be honest." Looking back at her, N sees the young Trainer shrugging her shoulders. "I mean, I kinda started all this just because my dad did and because I liked winning; then you came along and…" She threw her hands up and gestured an explosion, including making the sound with her mouth. He failed to hide his chuckle at that.
"This whole adventure is just intense. I don't even care about being champion anymore. Right now, if anything I just want to take a nap." She leans herself forward and presses her face into his chest.
"I can honestly share that sentiment." As the day had felt too dragged far too long, and it wasn't even 5 o'clock. "To face the Elite four, the Sages, myself. I can't imagine where you got the energy for it all." She pretends to be limp, so he has to help her. With the two sitting on the floor at the edge of the platform, watching the horizon together. "I'm very thankful for this though."
He feels her laughing against him. "For wrecking your castle? I mean I can gladly keep doing it if you want." He had to resist the urge to roll his eyes at her childishness.
"I meant with you being my opponent, for being someone that actually spoke to me, and tried to help me sort my feelings. You seemingly opened my eyes to some things about quite a few things. I wanted to change the world with my ideas to cause a massive reaction to follow what I had given. But I suppose it is not by rejecting different ideas, but by accepting different ideas that the world creates a chemical reaction. It's funny that now I see that. A formula for changing the world."
"Okay, now you sound like an essay I would Tauros-shit up at the last second, back when I went to school. Do you do this on the fly, or do you follow a script?" Hilda pulls away and playfully shoves at his shoulder. The two soon share a laugh, at themselves, at their lives, at seemingly everything around them. As if they both realize the amount of melodrama that allowed them around. "I'm just happy it can finally be ove-"
A familiar spoke out from behind them. "After all of that, do you think you're still worthy of sharing the name Harmonia with me? You good-for-nothing boy!"
Hilda draws her head back and lets out a distressful groan. "Oh, for Bird Jesus's sake…You're still here, didn't N tell you to fuck off!" She was the first to turn herself around and stood up back to her feet with N doing the same as the two gave a glare towards the Sage.
"I did not order for you to return to this room, Ghetsis."
"Oh, please. Stop embarrassing us both for thinking you dare have any authority over me, boy! After all I have done, this is what it comes down to!"
"What are you even going on about?"
Ghetsis gives out a scoff of disgust, not even flinching as N's Pokémon move before him, each simply threatening him as they move to their attack positions. Clearly seeing the older man as a threat. "To start with, I spurred N into pursuing the ridiculous false truths and ideals. The reason we reawakened the Legendary Pokémon now was to give MY Team Plasma more power! Power to control the fearful masses! That at least was well done."
His single eye doesn't even look at the growling Pokémon, instead it only focuses on N directly. Glaring at his supposed son with nothing sort of absolute contempt as he accosts towards the two Trainers. The Pokémon seemed as if they were going to attack, but were halted as N stepped forward, the King standing face-to-face with his Sage. "After saying you had to put your beliefs on the line and battle to see which one chosen by the legendary Pokémon was the true hero...You lost to an ordinary Trainer!" Ghetsis throws his arm forward and grabs at the front of N's shirt, pulling the young King closer to shout at his face with full blown fury. "There is such a thing as being too stupid! Add it up, and you are nothing more than a warped, defective boy who knows nothing but Pokémon!"
"Let go, right now." N's reply was simple, keeping his voice even as he didn't show a hint of being intimidated by his own father's wrath. It was clearly not the reaction that Ghetsis wanted, he was pressing his teeth together, seemingly going further enraged. Only releasing his hold as suddenly Hilda dashes forward, tackling the man with her body weight and sending him flubbing backward.
The moment he caught himself, he turned his full attention to the young Trainer that had ruined his plans time and again. "Hilda! I never would have thought the legendary Pokémon would choose a Trainer like you! It caught me completely off guard, I am more than willing to admit. Though with that little stunt on the bridge showed you were anything but truly ordinary!"
"Hope you paid your dentist extra, asshole."
"This doesn't change my goal. My plans have not been disturbed! In order to rule this world utterly, in order to manipulate the hearts of people who know nothing, I had N be the king of Team Plasma. But clearly it seems I was mistaken! All that work and time wasted!" He shouts more, his voice vibrating as he raises his hand to his own temple claws at it with his fingers in frustration. "Years! Decades! All wasted!"
Hilda gives out her own scoff. "Clearly someone snapped." Hilda raised her fists as she saw Ghetsis about to step toward her, only to be stopped as N stood in his way.
"Enough of this, Ghetsis! I've had it with your childish ranting and these claims. Do you even know what you're saying? Rule the world? I can stomach a lot of what you did or attempted to do, especially when it was behind my back, but this talk…" The utter disgust in N's voice was quite clear, as he stepped toward Ghetsis and thrust's his hand into the older man's chest, causing the Sage to fumble backward again. "Wasn't it our goal as Team Plasma to liberate Pokémon? You've told me nothing but that, for years! Since I could even speak human! You had done terrible things, and had allowed such things to happen, but you did it for the sake of the dream, for the freedom of Pokémon!"
"That was just a convenient lie that I needed to create Team Plasma. Use your head. What's to be gained from letting go of useful things like Pokémon? Certainly, manipulating Pokémon helps people expand their possibilities. That much, I can agree with. So, it naturally follows that only I should be able to use Pokémon!"
A range of emotions curl through N's face, as he loses his composure at hearing the man that had taught him so much say such exact words to his face. The kind of words that he was raised to stop from behind said. He feels anger, actual anger through him as he tightly closes his hands to fists and glares back at the man with the same level of hate being shared between them. "Say that again…" He warns only once, as the Pokémon that surrounded the two all began to growl once more.
"Hard at hearing boy? Perhaps if you had listened more often, you would have actually been somewhat intelligent by now!" Ghetsis face pulls back to form a grin. Pleased with actual upsetting N now. "All this was nothing more than an attempt for me to gain what was mine! Team Plasma, you, those horrid sisters, The Legendary dragons…I suppose that maybe I should just take them."
"Like hell you're doing anything like that!" Hilda shouted as she stomped forward to join N's side. "You and what army asshole? Last I checked you're the one surrounded-" She flinches backward as N throws his arm forward.
Warm blood splashes on her face at that moment.
"Damn it." A low hiss of pain escapes N as he holds the right forearm, as it was covered in several thin cuts that had torn at his skin. He knew from witnessing the attack many times in the past, that the wound was caused by blades formed by psychic power. Done so by Pawniards that have been bred to know Psycho Cut. The Shadow Triad's favorite weapon.
Though the pain was intense, he knew that had he not reacted just then Hilda would have been…
He didn't' want to think on that. Instead, he focused on the now, as he was about to order his Pokémon to act, only for Hilda to beat him to the punch. "Hammer arm!" Her Pokéball is thrown to the ground, right as she gave the order. Her Emboar, loyal and without question, does as she commands. Striking at the first thing it sees as it swings it's strong and heavy fist towards Ghetsis's grinning face. The blow is stopped by a barrier, casted by a Protect. "What the fuck are you doing!?" She shouts at Ghetsis, commanding her Emboar for another attack.
"All my plans are ruined, but they can simply be redone. But, for that to work, you- since you know the truth- both must be eliminated!" Ghetsis throws himself backward, just in time to move out of a way of N's Zoroark that attempts to tackle him. The usual quick and nimble Pokémon rendered sluggish from the intense battle it just went through. "Such vile and useless creatures." The Sage spat out, and just as the other Pokémon of N's team were to make a move of their own, only stopped as suddenly each was met with a Pawniard and a Shadow Triad member.
"Fucking ninjas." Hilda growled, her mind in a quick paced as she counted only five in total of the Shadow Triad. With her own Pokémon still being somewhat capable of a fight, this can be a win for them. "I don't care how many of your fucking babysitters you're gonna call! I'm gonna do worse than knock out your fucking teeth, you piece of shit!" Reach for her other Pokéballs, she stops as this time she moves herself out of the way of an attack.
She feels something just move past her ear; another Psycho Cut being launched at her. Her eyes widened as she turned around and saw five more Pawniards behind them. Oh course, the Shadow Triad would be the ones to have multiple of the same Pokémon. "Where are Squirtles with colorful bandanas when you fucking need them." She turns her attention to the group behind her, with her Emboar being quick to join her side while N focuses on his father.
"You can't possibly believe you can have Reshiram or Zekrom listen to you. We were the ones chosen, not you." N spoke, as he continued to grip his injured arm. Anger and adrenaline helped him to counteract the pain as he forced himself to stand straight and present himself as a King should.
Ghetsis just continued to smile, no doubt enjoying the fact he had them on the backfoot. Much as he or Hilda didn't want to say it, both of their Pokémon teams were already beaten badly in the previous fight. And with each Shadow Triad having two Pawniard to command, it was clear that they were not to win this easily. "You can say whatever you want. A Pokémon, even if it's revered as a deity, is still just a Pokémon." Ghetsis's voice was as pleasant to hear as a new-born Seel getting its skull caved in by a bat. "Perhaps your sisters could be of use, there is a chance you actually manage to teach them how you made Pokémon more cooperative?"
Rage causes something to snap in N. "If you fucking touch them…" Stomping forward, he is stopped as his Zoroark holds him back. Not liking that it had to do such a thing twice this day.
Ghetsis gives a dismissive gesture with his hand at the threat. "You'll do what, lecture me? That all it seems you are good for. Have no worry, I will do more than touch them if I must. I spared them the rod and looked at what happened. I seem to neglect my fatherly duty and made you three spoiled. You all…" He commands, looking towards the closets of the Shadow Triad. "Find my daughters and take them to our second location. I don't care if you have to carve off their arms and legs to do so. Just make sure they are alive and able to speak." He holds a pokéball in his hand and tosses it to the ground. Allowing his own Cofagrigus to be freed as it immediately locks eyes for a battle.
At the order all of the Shadow Triad suddenly vanish from sight, leaving Ghetsis alone with his one Ghost type Pokémon out. N was tempted, he was truly ready to order all his Pokémon at that moment with a single command to slaughter. His mind was clouded with rage, and he was half a second away from doing so. "Go after them, you fucking know this castle better than I do!" Hilda's voice cuts through those clouded thoughts. He sees her having turned to face Ghetsis with him, her Emboar baring its teeth in a growl. "I really…really want to break this asshole's face." She matches her Pokémon's tone.
N hated himself for hesitating, for daring to do so for even half-a second. But he knew exactly the type of people the Shadow Triad were. And he had to hurry. There was not enough time to even think of it all, the betrayal, the horror of the situation, he was barely even able to recognize that he lost in a battle with Hilda a few moments ago, let alone all that has happened since.
So, he ran out of the room with five of his Pokémon following. Leaving behind the still unconscious white dragon, as he promised to return for it when he can after he saved his sisters.
As the King fled from his throne room, Ghetsis just laughed at the situation. As he was left alone truly with the one person that ruined two decades worth of planning and work. A simple foul-mouth teenage girl that dresses as a whore. While he would admit she was clearly a good trainer, how could he possibly lose when her team was already beaten down from the battle with N.
All that was left was to make her an example now, as he claims his right as the ruler of Unova. "Hilda, so what if the dragon chose you! That doesn't mean you're a threat. Come on! Now you'll face ME in battle! I can't wait to see the look on your face when you've lost all hope!"
"And I can't wait to see the look on your face, when I take that bathrobe and make you fucking eat it!"
One final Chapter I swear. Sorry for taking so long for this, but college life decided to take what writing time I could. Please, I am kinda desperate for more reviews on here to tell me if I am making something people like or not. The next chapter will be the last for the story, with a fight between Hilda and Ghetsis. Thank you for reading this far, and I hoped that you enjoy this story.
