Vicky opened the oven and took out a sheet full of heart-shaped cookies. Nicky and Alex were seated at the kitchen table surrounded by sprinkles and other decorative candies.

"Alright, boys," said Vicky, "Are you ready to help me decorate these cookies for your Valentine's party at preschool?" she asked eagerly.

"Cookies!" twins cheered. When Vicky brought the cookies to the table, the boys immediately started to reach for them. "Whoa, boys! We have to decorate them first," Vicky explained.

"What is Valemtimes?" Nicky asked innocently. Vicky smiled sweetly at her nephew.

"It's a day where you celebrate the people that you love." Vicky explained, "It's also your Mommy and Daddy's wedding anniversary!"

"We love cookies!" Alex exclaimed, reaching once again towards the cookie sheet. Nicky followed suit, and this time they were too quick for Vicky to discourage them. Vicky sighed in defeat, and grabbed herself an undecorated cookie, laughing with the boys.

As promised, Vicky went to audition for the new show at the network and finished just in time to watch the end of that morning's taping of Wake Up, San Francisco. The guest was Dr. Joan Engel, a pediatrician and author of several successful books on parenting.

"Welcome back to Wake Up, San Francisco!" Becky chirped. "We're here with Dr. Joan Engel to discuss her new book, "Mom 24/7" in which she addresses the challenges faced by working mothers everywhere. Now Dr. Engel, as a working mother myself trying to balance my career and raising my twin boys, I just have to say that your book is a lifesaver. Lately, any time I get overwhelmed or feel like I'm not doing enough as a mother, I just think back to what you wrote about pouring from an empty glass."

"Absolutely," Dr. Engel replied cheerfully, "As mothers, it's so important that we take care of ourselves in order to be the best mothers we can. If you're feeling stressed and overworked, it's important to take a step back and reprioritize. Just because your children are your number one priority, doesn't mean they have to be the only priority."

"Such wise words from a renowned pediatrician and mother to four grown children herself. Dr. Engel, thank you so much for joining us today," Becky gushed.

"Thank you for having me," Dr. Engel replied.

"Yes, thank you for being here, Dr. Engel," Danny echoed. "Well, that's all the time we have today. Have a great day, everyone, and we'll see you tomorrow!" The Wake Up, San Francisco theme music played, and the director yelled "Cut!". As Becky continued her discussion with Dr. Engel, Danny went over to greet his wife.

"Hi, honey!" Danny exclaimed, hugging Vicky. "How did your audition go?" Vicky gave Danny a quick kiss hello before answering. "I think it went okay. I don't know why I was so nervous. I've been doing this for years!" Danny was about to reassure his wife when his boss interrupted. "Vicky!" Mr. Strowbridge exclaimed, "I just talked to the producers of the new show. They said they loved your audition and think you would be a perfect fit."

"Alright!" Danny cheered, giving his wife a congratulatory hug.

"Ah, but that's not all!" said Mr. Strowbridge. "Following the success of Dr. Engel's new book, the network has decided to redirect the focus of the show to motherhood and the issues that mothers face at each stage of the process. So, rather than having one host, the network has decided to feature a panel of women, each at different stages of their motherhood journey. And each show will feature a live studio audience filled with mothers who have questions about different aspects of parenting that the panel will weigh in on and give advice based on personal experiences."

"So, I would be part of the panel?" Vicky asked.

"That's right!" replied Mr. Strowbridge, "You'll be giving the perspective of a first-time expectant mother on all things pregnancy and childbirth." Vicky cringed a little remembering the first Wake Up, San Francisco show after she and Danny had returned from their honeymoon, in which Danny excitedly announced their happy news live to the entire Bay Area, just weeks after they had found out themselves.

Mr. Strowbridge continued, "And, to appeal to our existing viewers, the network wants none other than morning show favorite, Ms. Rebecca Donalsdson-Katsopolis to represent all the busy working mothers of young children!" Becky, who had joined the group along with Dr. Engel moments earlier, squealed with delight.

"Oh, Mr. Strowbridge, thank you! Do you really think I'd be able to do both shows?" Becky asked.

"Absolutely!" Mr. Strowbridge reassured her. "This is an afternoon show. You'll have plenty of time to shoot both shows, with a wardrobe change and makeup touch-ups in between. What do you say, ladies?" Mr. Strowbridge asked enthusiastically.

"Well, I'm in!" Becky responded quickly. "What do you say, Vicky?" Becky, Danny, and Mr. Strowbridge all looked at Vicky expectantly.

"Alright, I'll do it!" Vicky grinned and Becky hugged her in celebration.

"Marvelous!" Mr. Strowbridge exclaimed, "And rounding out our panel of mothers will be none other than Dr. Joan Engel herself in our newest show, named after her book! Ladies, welcome to Mom 24/7!" Mr. Strowbridge congratulated them and walked away. Becky squealed again, fangirling over the idea of cohosting a show with one of her biggest parenting role models. "Oh, Dr. Engel!" Becky exclaimed, "I have admired your work for years. It will be an honor hosting this show with you."

"The pleasure is all mine!" Dr. Engel replied. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a few more interviews today so I'd better get going." Dr. Engel shook hands with everyone in the group and left.

"Oh, Vicky, this is great!" Danny exclaimed. "I'm so proud of you," he said, giving her a kiss.

"Thank you, Sweetheart!" replied Vicky, "I can't believe I'm going to be cohosting my own show again. It's like everything has come full circle! Except now I have you," she told Danny. Danny smiled and pulled her in for another kiss.

"Hey, Steph, can you move that side of the banner a little to the left?" Joey asked. Stephanie obliged, but Joey quickly corrected himself. "No, sorry, my left!" Stephanie did as he asked, and Joey gave her an approving thumbs up.

"Thanks, Steph." Joey and Stephanie each climbed down from their respective sides of the banner to admire their work. The banner, which read, "The Smash Club's First Annual Valentine's Bash" was just one of the many decorations that the Tanner family had helped out with that week as the club was now covered in heart-shaped balloons and red and white streamers.

"The banner looks great, Joey!" Stephanie exclaimed. "I'm so excited that the Smash Club is hosting a Valentine's Day dance! I just wish Uncle Jesse could be here to see how well it all came together." Stephanie hung her head sadly for a moment as she thought of her Uncle Jesse who was in Greece attending Papouli's funeral.

"Aww, Steph. Come here," said Joey as he pulled Stephanie in for a hug. "Your Uncle Jesse will be very proud of how well we pulled this party together for him while he's gone. And, you know, having a good time at the dance would be a great way to honor your Papouli's memory," Joey pointed out.

Stephanie's face lit up. "Hey, you're right! Maybe we can teach everyone Papouli's dance!"

"Now, that's the spirit!" Joey exclaimed. "So, Steph, are you bringing anyone special to the dance?" he asked.

Stephanie shrugged. "I don't know. I'm sure whoever Gia's bringing will have a friend for me." Stephanie picked up her ladder and moved it in front of the stage to hang the next banner. "So, are you going to bring Roxy to the dance?" Stephanie asked.

"I sure am! In fact, we're opening for the band as a duo comedy act that we like to call "My Funny Valentines"! We've being together on our impressions for weeks!" Joey then proceeded to demonstrate by doing the voices of several male halves of cartoon couples, including Fred Flintstone, Homer Simpson, and, of course, Popeye. "Roxy does a great Olive Oyl. Her Marge Simpson is still a little rough, but we'll get it right before the show," Joey promised.

Stephanie laughed, then paused. "Hey, wait a minute. Uncle Jesse's out of town, so who's going to play at the party" she asked.

"Oh, don't worry, Steph. I talked to him on the phone last night. He says he's got it all figured out."

Meanwhile, Dannay, Vicky, and Becky were behind the counter washing dishes and cleaning up for the dance. "Oh, this is so exciting!" Becky exclaimed, "This'll be your first Valentine's Day as a married couple. How romantic!" she gushed.

"That's right!" Vicky replied, "and with my work schedule, we've never actually gotten to see each other on Valentine's Day, so it'll be nice to finally celebrate on the actual day."

"So do you have anything special planned?" Becky asked. Both women looked at Danny expectantly.

"I may or may not have a few tricks up my sleeve," Danny remarked slyly. "So, Becky, how are you holding up? I know Jesse always has something super romantic planned for this time of year," he said sympathetically.

Becky nodded and smiled sadly. "It is sad that he's not here for our anniversary this year, but he's exactly where he needs to be right now, and he promised to make up for it when he gets back. But, honestly, between taking care of the boys and getting the Smash Club ready for the Valentine's Bash, I haven't had much time to think about him being gone!"

"Well, at least while Jesse's gone you have the two cutest boys in town to escort you to the Valentine's Bash!" Vicky gushed, looking over at Nicky and Alex, who were happily working on some Valentine's crafts in a nearby booth.

"Oh, I know!" Becky replied, "I found the only two men that Jesse won't be jealous of!" All three adults laughed.

The next day at school, Stephanie was walking down the hallway with Gia and a few other friends when she noticed something taped to her locker. Upon closer inspection, she realized it was a pink envelope with her name written on it, with a little heart over the I where the dot should be.

"Oooh!" her friends all gushed in unison.

"Looks like Tanner's got a secret admirer!" Gia teased. "What's in the envelope?"

Stephanie opened the envelope and read the note inside aloud for her friends. "Roses are red. It was love at first glance. Until we meet again. I'll see you at the dance. I'll be the one with the roses. Love, your secret admirer. P.S. Wear the red dress with sparkles. It brings out your eyes." Stephanie's friends all gasped.

"Wow, Steph, someone's got the hots for you!" Gia exclaimed.

"Well, yeah, but who?" Stephanie wondered aloud.

Later on, in geography class, Stephanie, Gia, and their friend Ashley sat in the back of the classroom observing all the boys in their class and trying to figure out who could have left Stephanie that note.

"I bet it was Matt Hurley," Ashley hypothesized. "He really liked that joke you told during lunch last week."

"But Jennifer B told me that Matt asked her to the dance last week!" Stephanie countered. She crossed Matt's name of the list she had written in her notebook. "Who's next?"

"What about Jake Adams?" Gia suggested, pointing at a skinny boy with dirty blonde hair a few rows in front of them.

"Jake's a maybe," Stephanie said, jotting something down in her notebook, "he and Brittany broke up last week, so he's definitely available." The girls observed Jake for a moment, but their theory was quickly squashed when Rachel Buchman sat down next to Jake, and he put his arm around her.

"Boy, did he move on fast!" Ashley remarked. The three girls laughed.

Stephanie crossed yet another name off her list and sighed in frustration. "This is crazy! Who would send me a note like that?" she wondered.

"Well, you'll find out soon enough," Ashley assured her. "And at least you know you've got a date for Valentine's Day!" Stephanie nodded in agreement. The mystery of who her secret Valentine was could wait until the Valentine's Bash. For now, all she had to worry about was betting with her friends on whether or not Jake and Rachel's relationship would even last until the dance.

Joey was relaxing on the couch watching cartoons when Danny rushed in from the kitchen somewhat frantically. "Joey, you gotta help me!" Danny exclaimed. "This Valentine's Day is the first one that Vicky and I actually get to spend together, and I want to do something really special for her, but I have no idea what! Usually Jesse helps me out with these kinds of things, since he's Mr. Romance and all, but he's in Greece, so I figure you're the next best thing," Danny said jokingly.

"Well. Gee, Danny, thanks for the vote of confidence," Joey replied sarcastically. "Yeah, I'm sure I can help you come up with something."

So what are you getting for Roxy?" Danny asked.

Joey smiled proudly. "Well, let me tell you. I got her a box of chocolates from her favorite candy store, a charm bracelet with all of the Looney Tunes characters on it, AND I got the two of us a set of His and Hers Fred and Wilma Flintstone coffee mugs!"

Danny stared at his pal blankly. "How romantic," he deadpanned.

"Well, Danny, you just need to think of how you made all of the other holidays with Vicky special. What did you get her for Christmas, or for her last birthday?" Joey inquired.

"Well, for Christmas Jesse helped me make her a mixtape of all of our special songs, then I took her on a horse-drawn carriage ride around the city. And for her birthday last year, I took her out to dinner and then on a moonlight cruise around the bay. Oh, and at dinner I got the string quartet in the restaurant to play one of Vicky's favorite songs, "Dream a Little Dream of Me", and we danced around the restaurant patio with the sun setting behind us. Man, that was a great night!"

"Ok, so it sounds like you're looking for something that's both musical and sentimental," Joey pondered for a moment. As he did so, DJ, Kimmy, and Steve walked in. "Hey, Mr. Tanner. Joey. What's going on?" Steve asked.

"I'm trying to help Danny come up with the perfect Valentine's Day gift for Vicky," Joey explained.

"Well, you could always do what my dad does for my mom every year," said Kimmy.

"I'm afraid to ask," Danny responded warily.

"He makes her a coupon book!" Kimmy exclaimed, "Foot rubs. Backrubs. Waxes. You name it! My mom's favorite is the one for a free pedicure. She hates clipping her own toenails." Steve gagged and put down the bowl of ice cream he was eating.

"Don't worry, Dad. I'm sure Vicky is going to love whatever you get her," DJ assured her father, "And if you still need help, you can always ask Steve. He always comes up with the most thoughtful gifts for me!" DJ gushed. She made googly eyes at Steve, and he kissed her.

"Well, the thing with Vicky is that since she used to move around so much for work, she prefers experiences more than tangible gifts, but since we're busy with the dance at the Smash Club, we can't actually do anything on Valentine's Day," Danny explained.

"Well, who says you can't do something for her at The Smash Club?" Joey asked.

"Like what?" Danny asked. Joey leaned over and whispered something in Danny's ear as Danny listened intently. "Wow, Joey, that's actually a great idea!" Danny said finally.

"Who's Mr. Romance now?" Joey bragged, "C'mon, we better go get to work!" Danny and Joey went upstairs.

Shortly after they left, Stephanie and Gia came in through the front door. "Hey, Steph! How was school?" DJ asked.

"Oh my Gosh, DJ, you're not gonna believe this! Look at this note that somebody taped to my locker today!" Stephanie handed her sister the note eagerly.

"Wow, Steph!" DJ exclaimed as she read. "Who do you think it might be from?"

"I have no idea," Stephanie admitted, "But it's definitely somebody that I know, since he said, "Until we meet again". "

"How do you know it's a "he"?" Kimmy asked.

Stephanie glared at Kimmy for a moment then quickly recovered. "You know, Kimmy, you're right. It might be an "it" just like you!" Stephanie laughed and clapped her hands together, pleased with herself. "Anyway, whoever it is, it's someone who knows me, and who's seen me in my favorite red dress. Which reminds me, I'd better go try it on to make sure it still fits!" Stephanie hurried upstairs to her room.

On the night of the Valentine's Bash, DJ and Vicky helped Stephanie get ready in DJ's room. As her secret admirer requested, she wore her sleeveless red dress which sparkled all over, just like Dorothy's ruby slippers in her favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz.

"So, Steph, do you have any idea who your mystery Valentine might be?" Vicky asked. Stephanie shrugged. "Not a clue," she replied, "But he better be really cute for the amount of effort I'm putting in to look good for him!" she exclaimed. Vicky and DJ laughed. "Thanks for letting me borrow some of your makeup, Vicky!" Stephanie said as she put on some shiny red lipstick which perfectly matched her dress.

"No problem!" Vicky responded, "Oh, this brings back lots of memories from when my mom would help me get ready for school dances. I'm so glad I have the chance to do it with you girls!" she gushed.

"Did you always want kids, Vicky?" Stephanie asked.

"Well," Vicky started, "I think I just always assumed that I would get married and have kids eventually, but my career kind of got away from me so I stopped thinking about it for a while. Then when your dad and I first got engaged, we talked about it, and we agreed that we would be busy enough with work and the three of you girls that we didn't need to add another baby to the mix. But I'm glad things worked out the way that they did!" Vicky exclaimed.

"We are too!" DJ responded sincerely. Vicky smiled at her oldest stepdaughter.

"Ok, Steph, I think you're ready!" Vicky proclaimed a moment later while putting the finishing touches on Stephanie's hair. Stephanie got up and walked over to admire herself in DJ's full-length mirror.

"Wow! I am stunning!" Stephanie exclaimed. "Thanks, Vicky!" Stephanie said, giving her a hug.

"Anytime, Steph," Vicky replied, "Now let's go find out who this mystery man is!"

Over at the Smash Club, the First Annual Valentine's Bash was in full swing. DJ and Steve were sharing a booth with Kimmy and her date while Michelle and her friends were in a booth right behind them. Stephanie and Gia meanwhile were right up in front of the stage enjoying the music of Human Pudding and wondering if one of the band members could be Stephanie's secret admirer.

"Don't forget, the drummer's mine!" Gia reminded her. The girls laughed. After a moment, Gia glanced behind her and happened to see the back of a boy in a beige suit carrying a bouquet of roses. "Steph, I think that's him!" Gia pointed the boy out to Stephanie.

"All right. Here goes nothing!" Stephanie left Gia by the stage and walked over to the mystery boy. When she got close enough to see his profile, her heart skipped a beat. He definitely was Valentine-worthy, at least in the looks department. But when Stephanie got close enough to really see him, her jaw dropped.

"RUSTY?!" she shrieked, half in shock, half in disgust. "What are YOU doing here?" Rusty chuckled.

"If you fell for it, you deserved it!" he smirked. "Happy Valentine's Day, Stephanie." He handed her the bouquet of roses, and Stephanie took them, albeit reluctantly.

"Rusty, if this is one of your pranks, I swear – " Stephanie threatened. Rusty put his hands up in defense.

"Stephanie, I promise this is not a prank. I don't do that stuff anymore. I've grown up a lot in the past couple of years," he assured her.

"Well, thanks, I guess. But what are you even doing here? I thought you moved to Sacramento?"

"We moved back a few months ago," Rusty explained. "My mom got remarried last year and my stepdad has family here, so we came back to be closer to them. He's a great guy. He's taught me a lot." Rusty smiled. Stephanie studied his face for a moment. Rusty definitely had grown up a lot in the past two years, and Stephanie had to admit that he was pretty cute.

"That's cool, I guess. But what about the note?" Stephanie asked.

"Okay, so maybe the 'love at first sight" part was a bit of an exaggeration, but I came here with some friends a few weeks ago and saw you, and well, you're really pretty now," Rusty admitted bashfully. Stephanie could feel that she was blushing, but part of her was disgusted at the thought. This was still Rusty, after all.

"Wait. How did you put the note on my locker? Aren't you in high school now?" Stephanie asked.

"Oh, that part was easy. My little stepbrother is in your class," Rusty explained. Stephanie nodded, then they were quiet for a moment. "You know, Stephanie," Rusty said, breaking the silence, "You were my first kiss, and I gotta say, you were pretty darn good at it!" they both laughed, remembering that New Year's kiss on the Tanner couch a little over two years ago.

"You know, Rusty, you weren't bad yourself!" Stephanie replied. She leaned in closer to him, and he took the hint, going for a gentle peck. When they pulled back, Stephanie smiled. Maybe he really had changed.

Their moment was interrupted when the song ended and Danny, acting as the MC for the evening, took over the microphone.

"Hello again, and welcome to the First Annual Smash Club Valentine's Bash!" the crowd cheered. "Now, let's give it up for the bizarrely named Human Pudding!" Danny encouraged, and the crowd obliged. "Now, this next performance isn't part of tonight's scheduled programming, but it's a little something that I put together for my Valentine. Happy Valentine's Day, Vicky."

Danny cued Joey to start the music and proceeded to serenade his wife with a very sweet rendition of Paul Anka's "You're Having My Baby". Vicky's eye welled up as she watched from behind the counter. She wasn't normally a crier, but at least she had pregnancy hormones to blame. Danny finished to uproarious applause, and took a bow before announcing to the crowd, "And we have one more Valentine's surprise for the evening! Let's give it up for Jesse and the Rippers!" Danny exclaimed, pulling back a curtain to reveal Jesse and the band, who immediately broke into "Forever". Becky squealed with delight and surprise as she rushed towards the stage with the twins. At the back of the club, Rusty asked Stephanie to dance, and she agreed, following him up towards the stage where Gia was dancing with her coveted drummer. All of the other couples got up to dance together as well, bringing the Tanners' Valentine's Day to a happy ending.
