Wolfie: I don't own anything related to Supernatural, all I own is this fan fiction plot. Now I'm probably not going to completely follow along with the season's. I may skip over certain things and not focus on certain episodes. I absolutely hate Ruby so whatever spark her and Sam had will die quickly in this book. Now please read, review, and I hope you like this book so far.

Chapter 2: Lazarus Rising pt. 2

"So, you been using your, uh, freaky E.S.P stuff?" Dean suddenly asked causing Sam to look at her in shock.

"No." Sam said, lying yet again as to not upset Dean since he knows how she feels about his psychic abilities.

"Sure about that? Ah, well, I mean, now that you got immunity- whatever the hell that is- just wondering what other kind of weirdo crap you got going on." Dean explained as she mostly kept her eyes focused on the road whilst talking to Sam but she did glance at him every now and then.

"Nothing, Dean. Look, you didn't want me to go down that road, so I didn't go down that road. It was practically your dying wish." Sam said since he wanted Dean to believe that he was doing what she wanted him to do when really he wasn't.

"Yeah, well, let's keep it that way." Dean stated as Sam went silent, arguing wouldn't help the situation.

The rest of the drive was silent for the two Winchester's as dean made sure to follow Bobby's car as closely as she possibly could. By the time they got to their destination it was day time yet again as they parked their cars and approached the home. Bobby being the one to knock on the door as the ravenette woman who answered it greeted Bobby warmly with a laugh and a hug as she said his name. She was actually able to lift him off the ground a bit as they hugged, which impressed Sam quite a bit since Bobby isn't the lightest person in the world. What Dean was surprised by was the fact that there was actually a person in bobby's life besides her and Sam that he was still on good terms with. After all it seems like almost every person Bobby encountered in life has bad blood with him but will still help him because they were once friends. However this woman, Pamela, seemed genuinely happy to see Bobby as he told her that she was a sight for sore eyes. Meaning that he was also genuinely happy to see her and that he was glad to see her for more than just information.

"So, are they the ones you told me about?" Pamela asked as she looked at Sam and dean with crossed arms.

"Sam, Dean- Pamela Barnes. Best damn psychic in the state." Bobby introduced as Sam and Dean looked at him for a moment before looking at Pamela.

"Hey." Dean said with a small smile, but part of her was curious if this woman knows that she used to be a he.

"Hi." Sam said with a smile of his own as Pamela seemed to be giving them a once over.

"Mmm, mmm, mmm." Pamela hummed as if she was liking what she saw while looking at Sam before glancing at Bobby then back at Dean. "Dean Winchester. Out of the fire and back in the frying pan, huh? In the wrong body though it seems, makes you a rare individual nonetheless." She stated whilst looking at the other girl right in the eye, showing that she does infact know that she was a he once upon a time.

"If you say so." Dean stated, clearly not agreeing with the other woman but Pamela took the obvious disagreement with a smile.

"Come on in." Pamela said, motioning for them to head inside as she stepped aside to let them go in first.

"So, you hear anything?" Bobby asked as he walked in first followed by Dean, Sam, and lastly Pamela as she shut the door behind herself as Bobby looked at her.

"Well, I ouija-ed my way through a dozen spirits. No one seems to know who broke your boy tuned girl out or why." Pamela explained as she approached the group of three as she crossed her arms.

"So what's next?" Bobby asked because there had to be some other way for them to get info if the spirits don't know what's going on.

"A séance, I think. See if we can see who did the deed." Pamela revealed as Sam nodded in agreement as that didn't really seem like a bad idea.

"You're not gonna summon the damn thing here?" Bobby asked hoping that that's not what Pamela meant when she said a séance.

"No. I just want to get a sneak peak at it, like a crystal ball without the crystal." Pamela said with a smile as she walked past Bobby into another room that was directly across from the front door.

"I'm game." Dean said with a small shrug as she followed Pamela into the room alongside Sam as Bobby sighed.

Then together Pamela and Bobby began to set up the room so that they could perform the séance correctly and not have anything backfire. And as Pamela crouched down to get something from a cabinet drawer her tank top road up. Revealing a tramp stamp that Dean spotted immediately as she brought Sam's attention to it as well as it read "Jesse Forever" in fancy cursive writing. When she asked Pamela who Jesse was the only answer she got was a laugh and a it wasn't forever. Dean ended up commenting about how it was that Jesse guy's loss as Pamela stood up with beige-ish white candles in her hand. Said woman simply walking past her and Sam to put the candles in the places that she needs them to be in. Once everything was set up and the candles were lit Pamela, Bobby, Sam, and Dean all sat at the table. Pamela soon instructing them to take each other's hands as they did so, but she didn't take Dean's free hand. Stating that she needed to touch something that the thing that had dragged her out of hell had touched.

So with some reluctance Dean let go of Sam's hand in order to slip off her flannel button up and roll up the sleeve of her shirt, revealing the burn handprint on her left shoulder. Sam looking on in shock as he saw the angry red swollen skin that looked like a human hand print. And surprisingly he also felt mad that something had actually hurt Dean like that just to get her out of Hell. Pamela was indifferent to the handprint though as she placed her hand on it whilst Dean took hold of Sam's hand again. Her free hand holding onto Bobby's and Pamela's joined hands as said woman started the séance. Repeating "I invoke, conjure, and command you- appear unto me before this circle" over and over as they all clothes their eyes. However Dean opened her eyes to watch and see what happens, getting a sense of deja vu when the TV turned on to static. The same noise she heard before soon happening again as Pamela cut herself off in order to ask the creatures name in question, Castiel. By the sounds of what she said next it seemed like this Castiel thing was trying to scare her.

"Castiel?" Dean asked, curious as to if that was its name or the creature that it is.

"Its name. It's whispering to me, warning me to turn back." Pamela explained as she slightly turned her head towards Dean, her eyes still closed. "I conjure and command you- show me your face." She said, now repeating that as Dean looked to Bobby and Sam as they still had their eyes closed.

However as Pamela continued to repeat that the table and soon other things in the house began to shake as if there was an earthquake happening. This cased Sam and Bobby to open their eyes as well as Bobby suggested that maybe they should stop. Pamela wouldn't though, insisting that she's almost got it before outright commanding Castiel to show her its face. The flames from the candles getting extremely taller than they were before as Pamela screams in agony at what she saw. Her eyes wide as they burst into flames right inside of her skull as trails of blood came from her eyes. Then she closed her eyelids, extinguishing the flames as she collapsed and fell out of her chair as the candle flames went back to normal. Bobby practically ordering them to call 911 as Sam rushed off to do so as Bobby and Dean went to check on Pamela. Bobby cradling her in his arms as she panted and opened her burnt lids, revealing her burnt and destroyed eyes as she sobbed. Crying out that she can't see as Bobby and Dean shared a look as they heard Sam finishing up the call in the other room. Dean feeling like it was her fault that this happened, Pamela was just trying to help her get answers and she got hurt because of it. Later on that day at Johnny Mac's Diner Dean was sitting at a table telling her order to a waitress as Sam was on the phone. The waitress leaving to put in her order as said male got off the phone and sat down across from Dean.

"What'd Bobby say?" Dean asked, honestly looking drained of energy but was trying to stay strong nonetheless.

"Uh, Pam's stable and out of ICU." Sam explained as he puts his phone in his pocket after he sat down.

"And blind cause of m- us?" Dean asked, cutting herself off and changing it to us when she tried to say me.

"And we still have no clue what we're dealing with." Sam added since the séance Pamela did had basically failed.

"That's not entirely true." Dean corrected as she didn't feel like they didn't have a clue.

"No?" Sam asked, not seeing why Dean thought differently than he did.

"We got a name- Castiel or whatever. With the right mumbo jumbo, we could summon him, bring him right to us." Dean explained, talking about this like it was going to be easy and have no consequences whatsoever.

"You're crazy. Absolutely not." Sam said, immediately not wanting to mess with something like this.

"We'll work him over. I mean, after what he did?" Dean said as there was no way she was going to let this Castiel guy get away with blinding Pamela.

"Pam took a peek at him and her eyes burned out of her skull. And you want to have a face to face?" Sam asked as that just seemed like an idea that would not end well for Dean if she attempts it.

"You got a better idea?" Dean questioned since Sam is acting like he knows what is the right way and the wrong way in this situation.

"Yeah, as a matter of fact, I do. I followed some demons to town, right?" Sam said as that was the reason he came to this town, and totally not because of Ruby.

"Okay?" Dean asked wondering where Sam was going with this conversation.

"So we go find them. Someone's got to know something about something." Sam said just as the waitress from before came back with the food that Dean had ordered. "Thanks." He said as the waitress put the plates down but instead of leaving she pulled up a chair and sat down at the table with them.

"You angling for a tip?" Dean asked when she noticed that the waitress hadn't left or asked if they needed anything else.

"I'm sorry. I thought you were looking for us." The waitress said as her eyes turned pitch black as a man in a trucker cap, who's eyes were also black, got up and locked the diner's door. Standing guard at it as Sam and Dean immediately went on edge whilst the waitress's eyes went back to normal. "Dean... To hell and back. Aren't you a lucky duck?" She asked sarcastically as Dean looked at her in shock at the fact that this demon knew her name.

"How do you know it's me in this body?" Dean asked, her shoulder's tensing and her lips set in a frown as she looked at the possessed waitress.

"Even though you're out, and in a different body, your soul reeks of hell. Mmm, I can smell it." The waitress said as she even leaned closer to Dean and sniffed at her as said girl silently gagged at that as she moved her chair just the tiniest bit closer to Sam.

"Dumbass, that still doesn't explain how you know it's me." Dean said out of irritation as she came here to eat, not to get sniffed at by a demon.

"Hell is all a buzz about you, and this scrumptious looking body of yours is the only one to come back alive since you got out. So we put two and two together." The waitress said as she gave Dean the once over whilst licking her lips as Dean moved a bit closer to Sam again, feeling alot safer next to him for some reason. "So, you get to just stroll out the pit, huh? Tell me, what makes you so special?" She asked, not liking the fact that Dean got out when her and many others were stuck there till they became demon's.

"I like to think it's because of my perky nipples." Dean said jokingly but the possessed waitress obviously didn't find her joke very funny. "I don't know. It wasn't my doing. I don't know who pulled me out." She said honestly as there was no reason to lie about something like this, even if she is talking to a demon.

"Right. You don't." The waitress said, clearly not believing that Dean was actually telling the truth.

"No, I don't." Dean repeated, once again telling the truth because she is just as in the dark about this as the demon's are.

"Lying's a sin, you know." The waitress stated, still believing that Dean was lying to her.

"I'm not lying. But I'd like to find out. So if you wouldn't mind enlightening me, Flo." Dean said, nicknaming the waitress Flo because she's acting like a total PMSing bitch.

"Mind your tone with me, girl. I'll drag you back to hell myself." The waitress threatened as Sam scooted his chair back a bit as if to go and attack the waitress but Dean held up her hand to stop him.

"No, you won't." Dean argued as she sounded so certain of that assumption she just made.

"No?" The waitress asked as if she found the fact that Dean said that laughable.

"No. Cause if you were, you'd have done it already. The fact is, you don't know who cut me loose. And you're just as spooked as we are. And you're looking for answers. Well, maybe it was some turbocharged spirit, hmm? Or, uh, Godzilla. Or some big, bad boss demon. But I'm guessing at your pay grade that they don't tell you squat. Cause whoever it was, they want me out... and they're a lot stronger than you." Dean said and with every word she said the waitress seemed like she was struggling not to do anything to prove that what she said was true. "So, go ahead. Send me back. But don't come crawling to me when they show up at your front doorstep with some vaseline and a fire hose." She said, her tone just practically screaming that she dares the waitress to go through with her threat.

"I'm gonna reach down your throat and rip out your lungs." The waitress threatened yet again but it just seemed like another empty threat.

Dean simply leaned towards the possessed waitress a bit, the corners of her lips slightly curled into a smile. Her mouth then opened a bit as if to say something, but instead she just bitch slapped the waitress across the face. And when nothing happened aside from the waitress looking back at Dean she bitch slapped her yet again. More than proving her point when yet again nothing happened aside from the waitress looking back at her. The other diner workers and patrons didn't even try to stop the slaps from happening either, meaning their all demons. It also means that they are too fearful about what may happen if they hurt Dean to actually do anything about it. After basically saying "I told you so" to the waitress she decided it was time for her and Sam to leave, getting up from the table without eating any of their food. The last thing Dean did before leaving the diner with Sam was pull out a wad of cash, taking a 10 dollar bill and placing it on the table. Saying that it was for the piece of pie that she had ordered, feeling that the diner shouldn't lose money because it's full of demon's. Walking out of the diner a few steps behind Sam as she looked over her shoulder to make sure the demon's weren't trying to stab her in the back.

"Holy crap, that was close." Dean said as she took a few long steps in order to be able to walk next to Sam.

"We're not just gonna leave them in there, are we, Dean?" Sam asked, not liking the fact that they left a diner infested with demons.

"Well, yeah. There's three of them, probably more. We only got one knife between us." Dean explained, plus there was the fact that the body she's in has probably never been hunting so she needs to be careful. "Plus this body doesn't have an anti-possession tattoo, Sam. I can't go up against a demon without it, unless you want me to end up being possessed." She said as that would surely be the end result of fighting the demon's now without the anti-possession tattoo.

"No I don't want that to happen, Dean. But I've been killing alot more demons than that lately." Sam explained feeling like they could still take on the demons and win regardless of the current situation.

"Not anymore. Now that I'm back we need to be smart about what we do." Dean said as she wasn't about to let Sam go off half-cocked trying to pick fights he can't win.

"Dean, we got to take them. They are dangerous." Sam said, hoping to reason with Dean and get her on board with going back and fighting the demons.

"They're scared, okay? Scared of whatever had the juice to yank me out. We're dealing with a bad mofo here. One job at a time." Dean said as that was the end of the discussion for her since she wasn't changing her mind. "Now lets get me that tattoo, and then I'm taking this thing off. How women can wear these torture devices and not feel like they're being crushed is astonishing." She added as she adjusted her bra strap as Sam gave her a "too much information" look as they got in the car.

Before they headed back to the hotel astoria that Sam was staying at Dean had them stop at a nearby tattoo parlor first like she said they would. With the fact that there are demons crawling around this town she would feel alot safer if she had one again. It was a bit difficult to get the guy to agree to tattoo her, seeing as the body she's in is supposed to be dead and she has no ID to confirm her age. Thankfully Sam had decided to come in with her so he was able to clear things up and paid for the tattoo as well. Which led to Dean sittin in a tattoo chair getting the anti-possession symbol tattooed just below her collar bone. She wanted it to be in the same area and on the same side of her body as it had been on her original body. Cause to her it felt weird to even consider having the symbol tattooed on any other part of her body. The tattoo artist was indifferent to the placement of the tattoo alongside the fact that Dean had to only be in her bra to give him room to work. However Sam was a bit embarrassed as he tried not to look at Dean's bare skin as it was just common decency, a small blush on his face. Dean couldn't help but quietly chuckle when she saw his blush, finding it oddly cute for reasons that she cannot explain.

Then with the tattoo finished and everything concerning it in order Dean put her shirts back on and her and Sam left the tattoo parlor side by side. Heading back to the car and driving the rest of the way back to the hotel astoria and up to Sam's room after grabbing one of her phone's from the Impala's glove box. Where after a while of being back Dean fell asleep on the room's couch bed whilst reading a book. Whilst she was asleep Sam opened the door as quietly as he could, glancing back to make sure she was still asleep before he left and quietly shut the door behind himself. Leaving in the Impala and not long after he left that same high pitched noise from before started as the TV turned on and became static. Then the radio turned on and began tuning as all of this woke up Dean as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. Getting another sense of deja vu as she looked around at what was happening as she shut the book that was in her lap. Scrambling to grab the gun hidden next to the bed as she got out of it, looking for whatever was making the sound as it steadily gets louder. Immediately noticing the empty bed that Sam had been occupying when she fell asleep, aiming the two barrel small shot gun at the door with both hands.

One hand coming up to cup her ear as the sounds still got louder, looking up at the mirrored ceiling when she hears a crack and saw the cracks in the mirror. Dropping the gun in order to cover her other ear, yelling in pain as the ringing was starting to become too much for her. The pain bringing her to her knees as the windows behind her were the first things to shatter, raining shards of glass on her. Then the section of mirror behind her broke and shards came crashing down on the floor as she looked at the section of mirror above her as it cracked more. Falling out of the way as the mirror shards began to fall, landing in glass and cutting up her arm and hand in the process. Continuing to yell in agony as Bobby burst through the rooms door as mirror shards and glass fell all around them. Him calling out her name was what snapped her out of her yelling fit as he helped her up, out of the wrecked room, and down to his car. Getting the still recovering Dean buckled up in the passenger seat where she shakily tended to her cuts as she recovered from what happened as Bobby drives the car.

"How you doing, kid?" Bobby asked as he glanced at Dean for a moment as she finished cleaning up her own blood off her skin.

"Aside from the church bells ringing in my head... peachy." Dean said sarcastically as she picked up her phone, pressing it to her ear after dialing Sam's number.

"Hey." Sam said after answering the phone call almost immediately.

"What are you doing?" Dean asked, not even bothering to return the greeting that Sam had given her.

"Couldn't sleep. Went to get a burger." Sam lied as he sat in the parked Impala outside of Johnny Mac's Diner.

"In my car?" Dean asked as that sounded extremely suspicious to her.

"Force of habit, sorry. What are you doing up?" Sam asked since when he left she was passed out on the couch bed in the hotel room.

"Well, uh, Bobby's back. We're going to grab a beer." Dean lied as Bobby looked to her in shock since he knew she was lying to Sam.

"All right. Well, uh, spill some for me, huh?" Sam asked since that was the usual custom when someone has a drink and someone's not there to drink with them.

"Done. Yeah, I'll catch you later." Dean said before she shut the flip phone, effectively hanging up on Sam.

"Why the hell didn't you tell him?" Bobby asked, shocked that Dean didn't let Sam know about what happened at the hotel room.

"Cause he'd just try to stop us." Dean stated simply as she sorta just help her closed phone for a moment.

"From what?" Bobby asked, not knowing what Dean was talking about when she said that.

"Summoning this thing." Dean revealed as Bobby looked to her in shock yet again. "It's time we face it head on." She said as she really wasn't going to let Castiel get away with what he did to Pamela.

"You can't be serious." Bobby uttered, not wanting to believe that Dean wants to pick a fight so soon after getting out of hell.

"As a heart attack. It's high noon, baby." Dean with a smile as it was time for a metaphorical showdown at the o-k corral.

"We don't know what it is. I-It could be a demon. It could be anything." Bobby said as they didn't know what they were up against, only what they do when someone sees them when they don't want to be seen.

"That's why we got to be ready for anything." Dean said before pulling out the demon killing knife that she had taken back from Sam when he wasn't looking. "We got the big-time magic knife. You got an arsenal in the trunk." She explained feeling like they could do this with these things on their side.

"This is a bad idea." Bobby said as he had a bad feeling about what will happen if they go through with this.

"I couldn't agree more, but what other choice do we have?" Dean asked, after all they were coming up with no answers on their own.

"We could chose life." Bobby stated as this sounded like nothing more than a suicide mission.

"Bobby, whatever this is, whatever it wants, it's after me- that much we know, right?" Dean asked since so far this Castiel guy has followed her almost everywhere she's went since she came back from hell. "Well, I got no place to hide. I can either get caught with my pants down again, or we can make our stand." She said as it was high time she made this guy come to her when she's ready for it.

"Dean, we could use Sam for this." Bobby said in an attempt to reason with Dean, three heads were better than two in this situation.

"Nah, he's better off where he is." Dean said, effectively shooting down the idea of going to Sam for help with this.

Not wanting to continue the conversation Dean went silent as she looked out the window as Bobby went silent as well. Parking his car next to an empty warehouse/barn as they both gout out and went inside. Getting to work as the walls and floors were painted with every talisman and trap from every known faith on the globe courtesy of Bobby. Meanwhile Dean had set up two long tables and crammed them full of all the weapon's they could possibly hold that may work against what they're about to face. And at the end of the second table was a bowl full of ingredients for a summoning spell that was just waiting to be completed. Bobby, after painting the last symbol on the ground in white spray paint, stood up. He then walked over to Dean as she just finished putting the last weapon on the table. Checking in to see how she was doing. He still didn't seem all that relieved when she said that they were ready to catch and kill everything she's ever heard of. Continuing to say that this is a bad idea, which is something that Dean is frustrated with after hearing him say it more than 10 times.

"What do you say we ring the dinner bell?" Dean asked whilst motioning towards the bowl of ingredients with her head as Bobby walked over to it.

"Amate spiritus obscure..." Bobby said after taking a pinch of the final ingredient and sprinkling it into the bowl.

Now it was just a waiting game as Bobby sat atop one of the tables, shotgun in hand, whistling as he lightly kicked his legs back and forth. Dean sitting on the table opposite him slightly messing with the demon killing knife out of boredom. The first thing she asked when nothing still happened was if Bobby was sure that he had dont the ritual correctly. All she gained was what was one question away from being a dirty look as she simply mumbled an apology. Before much else could be said though the wind started to howl, as if there was suddenly a storm raging outside. Then there was a rumbling that was akin to the sound of something heavy hitting the roof of the building. Causing Bobby and Dean to go on edge as they stood up, guns in hand as they looked to the ceiling. Silently wondering if whatever they had summoned was trying to get in through the ceiling instead of through the door. But it was just the metal panelling used for the roof moving up and down rapidly as if it was being blown by the wind. And it was just wishful thinking for Dean to think that it was indeed just the wind that was doing that to the ceiling.

However she was proven wrong when the lightbulb above them suddenly exploded, as did all the other ones as the doors opened on their own. Allowing a man in a trench coat to walk in, undeterred by the talismans, traps, or the exploding lights. Both Bobby's and dean's first thoughts were to aim their gun's at the steadily approaching man. Thinking that they would shoot first and ask questions later, but when they shot him he did not bleed. Nor did he fall down, he didn't even stumble back or flinch and scream from the pain of being shot. Bobby and Dean just kept shooting at him though, thinking that sooner or later the shots being fired at him will make him stop or even bleed. Though when it still obviously didn't work Dean gave up the gun in favor of the demon killing knife. Picking it up just in time to walk in a circle alongside the man, as if they were enemy animals stalking one another.

"Who are you?" Dean asked as she stopped walking but kept her eyes glued to the man, Castiel.

"I'm the one who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition." Castiel explained as if that was going to help with the current situation.

"Yeah. Thanks for that." Dean said sarcastically as Castiel smiled, thinking that was her actually thanking him.

Only to have Dean stab him in the chest with the demon killing knife. Said girl backing off and looking on in shock as the blade had no effect on him what so ever. Castiel simply glancing down at the knife handle now sticking out of his chest, his facial expression unchanged. Then whilst maintaining eye contact with Dean, he grabbed the knife's handle and pulled it free from his chest and dropped it. The blade coated in blood yet he physically did not bleed a drop as Dean was wide eyed with shock. Then she glanced to Bobby who immediately took a swing at Castiel with and iron rod but Castiel held out his hand and stopped the attack as it hit his palm. Pressing two fingers to the bearded hunter's forehead, causing him to crumple to the ground unconscious. Dean watching in shock yet again as one of the most capable hunter's she's ever known was taken down by a guy in a trench coat. Some guy who can apparently withstand gun shots, being stabbed in the chest, and take down a hunter with two fingers.

"We need to talk, Dean." Castiel said as he turned towards Dean who was watching him with wide eyes, mouth agape in shock. "Alone." He added as he watched her glance at Bobby for a second before looking back at him.
