Chapter 30 - Parents' Assurance

It has been a long time since Kelly saw Brandon's parents, Jim and Cindy Walsh. As a teenager and young adult, Kelly was easily adored by Jim and Cindy. They practically loved her like a daughter. That's why it was no surprised to them when Brandon and Kelly got engaged the first time. It was a wedding that Jim and Cindy would not want to miss for the world. However, after the last-minute wedding abort, Kelly eventually lost touch with The Walsh Family, especially after Brandon left for Washington.

While Brandon assured Kelly that his parents are thrilled about their current engagement, a part of Kelly still feels that Jim and Cindy are not too happy about her not going through with their first wedding and not finding the truth about Sammy until just recently. Even worse, Kelly was afraid that they will question whether or not their impending marriage is nothing but a plot for her to take advantage of Brandon.

Brandon left work early one Friday afternoon for the airport. He was thrilled to see his parents again.

He smiled as he sees his parents walk out of the terminal gate. He called out to them to get their attention. Jim and Cindy see Brandon, smile, and walk toward him with their luggage.

"My boy," smiled Cindy as he hugged Brandon.

"Hi mom; hey dad," said Brandon.

"Hey son," said Jim giving Brandon a hug.

"I hope you haven't been waiting long," said Cindy.

"No, just a few minutes. So, how was your flight?" asked Brandon.

"It was fine. Where's Kelly?" asked Cindy.

"She's at the house with Sammy and Silver making dinner," replied Brandon.

"Oh, she didn't have to through trouble for us," said Cindy.

"It's ok mom; we eat dinner every night," joked Brandon.

"Great. I'm starving," said Jim.

"Ok, then let's get a move on," said Brandon grabbing the luggage.

They walk out of the airport and into Brandon's car.

Brandon drives up to the house, parking the car in the driveway.

Brandon opens the door and they walk in.

"Something smells good," smiled Jim.

"Anybody home?" asked Brandon to give Kelly the signal that his parents are here.

Kelly comes out of the kitchen wearing an apron.

"Hi," smiled Kelly walking towards Jim and Cindy.

"Oh my god, Kelly...it's been so long," smiled Cindy was they hug.

"And you look as beautiful as ever," said Jim giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Thanks. You two look great," smiled Kelly.

"We're just glad we still got our health," joked Jim.

"Not to mention each other," smiled Kelly.

"Congratulations again," smiled Cindy.

"Thanks," smiled Kelly.

"Alright guys, why we don't continue this conversation sitting down," said Brandon.

"Good idea," said Kelly.

They sit down in the living room.

"Can I get anybody something to drink?" asked Kelly.

"How bout some water?" asked Jim.

"Sure...Cindy?" asked Kelly.

"The same," replied Cindy.

"Coming right up," smiled Kelly as she heads to the kitchen.

"I think I'll help her out," said Brandon following Kelly to the kitchen.

Kelly grabs two glasses and fills it with water. Unnoticing to Kelly, Brandon walks up to her and puts his arms around her. She is startled.

"You alright?" asked Brandon.

"Yeah, you just scared me, that's all," replied Kelly.

"Oh. Sorry about that. You look kinda tense. Are you alright?" asked Brandon.

"Yeah, it's just a little awkward having your parents here...that's all," replied Kelly.

"Why is that?" asked Brandon.

"I dunno. It's just been a long time since I've seen them," replied Kelly.

"Kel, you're not meeting them for the first time. These are the same people who watched us grow up together," said Brandon.

"I know. You're right," smiled Kelly reassuring herself that everything will be ok.

"You know I missed you today," smiled Brandon.

"I missed you too," said Kelly.

Brandon leans in and they kiss.

Unnoticing to them, Jim and Cindy walk up to them.

Brandon notices and breaks the kiss.

"Hi guys. We'll be right with you with your drinks," said Brandon.

"No, I'm sorry to interrupt you two. We were just wondering if we can help you guys with dinner," said Cindy.

"No, that won't be necessary," said Kelly.

"You sure? We can prepare dinner while you two can be together," asked Cindy.

"Mom, would you stop it? Dinner is almost done. Why don't we just sit on the couch and catch up?" asked Brandon.

"Good idea. I want to hear everything," smiled Jim.

Jim and Cindy go back to the living room.

"You ok?" asked Brandon.

"Yeah, I'm just a little embarrassed," replied Kelly.

"Kel, relax. They're your family too. And they love you," said Brandon.

"I hope so," said Kelly giving Brandon a small smile.

"I know so," said Brandon who gives Kelly a quick kiss on the cheek.

Brandon and Kelly join Jim and Cindy on the couch.

"Kelly, I love what you've done with the house. Did you do this all by yourself?" asked Cindy.

"Pretty much but it's not nothing really," replied Kelly.

"Well, I just love the arrangements and the color. It's really beautiful," smiled Cindy.

"Thanks," smiled Kelly who feels a little relaxed after getting a compliment from Cindy.

"So when do we get to meet Sammy?" asked Jim.

"Oh, Silver and Sammy should be back from the store any minute now," replied Kelly.

"How is Erin...I mean Silver? We've haven't seen her in so long." asked Cindy.

"She's doing great. In fact, she's going to be my maid of honor," replied Kelly.

"Oh, that's wonderful," smiled Cindy.

"Have you picked your best man yet?" asked Jim to Brandon.

"Not yet, dad," replied Brandon.

"Can I audition?" joked Jim.

"Hahaha...sure dad," laughed Brandon.

Just at the moment, Silver and Sammy walk in. Sammy walks in first and feels scared as everyone looks at him.

Silver has her back turn and doesn't notice Jim and Cindy.

"Hey, sorry it took so long but you wouldn't believe the line," said Silver as she walks in with Sammy.

She turns around and sees Jim and Cindy smiling at her.

"Oh sorry. Hi," said Silver.

"Hi...you must be Silver," said Cindy.

"I must be. It's been so long. I wish I have a better memory," smiled Silver.

"Silver, you remember Brandon's parents, Jim and Cindy," said Kelly.

"It's ok. It must be over ten years since we last seen each other," said Cindy.

"But you certainly grew up into a very beautiful young woman," added Cindy.

"Thank you," said Silver.

Kelly notices that Sammy is silent and scared. She goes to him.

"And this little guy here is Sammy," said Kelly who bends down to face Sammy.

"Honey, it's ok. Don't be scared. These are your grandparents; grandma and grandpa," smiled Kelly.

"Wanna say hi?" asked Kelly.

"Hi," said Sammy softly.

"Hi Sammy," said Jim and Cindy.

"Sammy, I have a present for you. Wanna see what it is?" asked Cindy smiling.

Sammy looks at Kelly.

"It's ok, honey," nod Kelly.

Sammy goes to Jim and Cindy.

"Brandon, could you get the present out of the big suitcase?" asked Jim.

"Sure," said Brandon.

Brandon pulls out a gift wrapped medium sized box.

"This one?" asked Brandon.

"That's the one," replied Jim.

Brandon hands Jim the present.

"Here you go. Go ahead. Open it," said Jim.

Sammy smiles and opens it, revealing a skyscraper building kit.

"Do you like it?" asked Cindy.

Sammy nods his head in approval.

"Sammy, what do you say?" asked Kelly.

"Thank you grandma," said Sammy giving Cindy a hug.

"Awww...you're welcome," smiled Cindy.

"Thank you grandpa," said Sammy giving Jim a hug.

"You're welcome, Sammy," said Jim.

"Sammy, you wanna test it out in your room?" asked Brandon.

"Yes," replied Sammy.

"Ok," said Brandon.

"Why don't you take grandpa with you," smiled Cindy.

"Sure, I would love to see your room. Is that ok with you?" asked Jim to Sammy.

"Yeah," said Sammy.

"Ok, let's go," smiled Jim.

Jim and Sammy go to Sammy's room.

"When Brenda told us how much Sammy loved Legos, we knew he would love that," said Cindy.

"You spoke to Brenda?" asked Brandon.

"Yeah, just briefly. She called to assure us that she's fine," replied Cindy.

"Did she say anything else?" asked Brandon.

"No, only that she'll be sure to visit you two very soon," replied Cindy.

"Wow, it's really like family reunion," smiled Brandon.

"Well, if you would excuse me, I still have some updating to do on my blog," smiled Silver who starts to get up from the couch.

"Not so fast young lady," said Cindy.

"Why, what did I do?" asked Silver who is surprised.

"You can't go before I give you your present," smiled Cindy.

"You got something for me?" asked Silver surprised.

"Jim and I didn't really know what to get you but ever since Brandon told me how much you like to go online, we thought this would be ideal," replied Cindy.

"Brandon, would you mind getting up again and getting her gift?" asked Cindy.

"Sure. That's what I'm here for," replied Brandon being sarcastic.

Brandon gets the gift out and hands it to Cindy. Cindy hands it to Silver. Silver opens it, revealing a brand new laptop computer.

"Oh my god. I love it. Thank you," said Silver hugging Cindy.

"Cindy, you really shouldn't have," said Kelly.

"Oh, don't be silly. We have some catching up to do with our gift-giving," smiled Cindy.

"I hope this will help you with your blog," said Cindy.

"It sure can. Thanks again" smiled Silver hugging Cindy.

"Ok. I'm gonna test this thing out right now," said Silver going to her room.

"Have fun," said Cindy.

Silver rushes to her room with her new toy.

"Oh, she's great. She kinda reminds me of you when you were a teenager," said Cindy to Kelly.

"Oh, the good ol times," smiled Kelly.

"We sure went through a lot with you kids. I just can't believe how much time has passed by," said Cindy.

"It only seems like yesterday, you two were just friends. The next thing you know you're dating and now you're getting married," smiled Cindy.

"Thanks Cindy," smiled Kelly.

"Mom, if you're tired; you can rest up in the guest room before dinner," said Brandon.

"Oh, I'm fine. I may be old but I'm still a tough old bird," joked Cindy.

"Oh Cindy; you're not old," said Kelly.

"That's sweet of you to say but I'm having more and more trouble getting up in the morning...and so is your father," said Cindy.

"So that now you have so much free time, what do you guys do all day?" asked Kelly.

"To tell you the truth, not much out of the ordinary. But we do talk, go out to dinner, share a little of romance...and sometimes when we're really bored, we just lie around and be grateful that we still have each other," smiled Cindy.

Brandon looks at Kelly.

"Sounds like a great life," said Kelly.

"It is and I wish you both the same," said Cindy.

"Thanks," said Brandon and Kelly.

"Enough about me. I want to hear everything. How did it happen?" asked Cindy smiling.

Kelly and Brandon smile at each other.

"Well, Brandon picked me up from work one day for a late lunch...," said Kelly.

"I wanted to propose at the restaurant...," said Brandon.

"But since things kept getting in the way, we ended up spending the rest of the day at the park...," said Kelly.

"The car broke down and while we wait for the mechanic to arrive, I looked into her eyes, told her I love her, and I asked her to marry me," smiled Brandon.

"Awww...so romantic," smiled Cindy.

"Yes, it was," smiled Kelly as she leans in and kisses Brandon.

Kelly placed her hand on Brandon's cheek revealing her engagement ring.

"Is that your ring?" asked Cindy.

"Yes it is," replied Kelly showing Cindy.

"Oh, it's so beautiful," said Cindy.

"Thanks, I always thought so," said Kelly.

"What do you mean?" asked Cindy.

"This is actually the same ring that Brandon used when he proposed to me the first time," replied Kelly.

"You mean in back in college? This is the same ring?" asked Cindy.

"Yes, it is," replied Brandon.

"Awww...sounds like fate brought you two back together," said Cindy.

"I think so too," smiled Kelly.

"You have to tell your father this story," smiled Cindy.

"Jim," said Cindy loudly so that Jim can hear.

"Mom, it's ok," said Brandon who looks embarrassed.

"No, this is a great love story. It shows how strong your love for each other is," said Cindy who is getting excited.

Jim comes out of Sammy's room with Sammy on his back.

"What's going on?" asked Jim.

"Brandon and Kelly want to tell you how they got engaged," replied Cindy.

"Oh great. C'mon Sammy," said Jim.

"Giddy up, grandpa," laughed Sammy.

They sit on the couch next to Cindy.

"Cindy, maybe Brandon's right. We kind of would like to keep these things to ourselves," said Kelly.

"That's right. You see?"' asked Brandon standing up to Cindy.

"Alright. I guess you don't want to hear about how much Brandon was in love with you when he was in Washington," said Cindy to Kelly.

"Really?" asked Kelly who suddenly looks interested.

Jim and Cindy nod their head.

"Mom, please. No more stories. Why don't we finish dinner?" asked Brandon.

"No no no; dinner's ready. I want to hear this story," replied Kelly smiling.

"I'll tell it only if it's ok with you, Brandon," said Cindy.

"Please?" asked Kelly smiling at Brandon.

"Looks like I don't have a choice," said Brandon giving up.

"Oh, don't worry. I won't make you look bad. It's actually really sweet," smiled Cindy.

As Cindy starts to tell the story, we see Kelly starts to smile.

During dinner, everyone continues to discuss about Brandon and Kelly's wedding.

"So have you two started preparing for the wedding?" asked Cindy.

Brandon and Kelly look at each other again.

"Well, not exactly. Kelly and I thought it would be best to take things slow," said Brandon.

"Yeah, we're in no rush," said Kelly.

"That's good. Enjoy your engagement. Then you might want to start with deciding on the month," said Cindy.

"Uh...yeah…sure...We were shooting for some time in the summer when we're both free," said Brandon lying.

"Uh...the summer might not be good since I might have to be there for summer school," said Kelly.

"Ok then. How bout the fall?" asked Brandon.

"That's the busiest time of the year," replied Kelly.

"So the Spring, then?" asked Brandon.

"Well, that's when the spring semester starts," replied Kelly.

"That leaves Winter," said Brandon.

"Yeah; I think winter will work," said Kelly.

"Great. You see mom, we made a decision. You can stop worrying now," said Brandon smiling.

"Oh but it could get pretty cold. I'm not sure if that's good," said Kelly.

"Kel, it's Southern California. How cold can it get?" asked Brandon.

"Well, you would know if you were here for the past few years. It could get pretty cold," replied Kelly.

Jim and Cindy look at Brandon and Kelly going back and forth.

"Sounds like you two have a lot to discuss," said Jim.

"Don't worry; we'll have plenty of time for the wedding and the honeymoon," said Brandon.

"Yes," smiled Kelly.

They kiss and everyone looks at them.

"Looks like the honeymoon's already started," joked Silver.

They break.

"So Silver, how was your day?" asked Brandon trying to change the subject.

Silver looks at Brandon with a smile.

Everyone woke up the next morning and headed off to breakfast at the Peach Pit. We see Nat joining them in reminiscing about old times and memories.

After lunch, Brandon took Jim to see his office at the Chronicle and Kelly and Cindy took Sammy to the park.

Cindy and Kelly are sitting on a bench at a nearby park watching Sammy playing in the playground.

"I can't believe he's already five," said Cindy.

"Yeah, neither can I," said Kelly.

"Time does fly by quick," said Cindy.

"Too quick. I still see him as my baby," said Kelly.

"I know this sounds weird but I still look at Brandon and Brenda the same way," said Cindy.

"Why is that?" asked Kelly.

"Because we're their mothers," replied Cindy.

"My kids may be all grown up but I'll always have the urge to protect them and keep them from getting hurt," added Cindy looking at Kelly.

Kelly looked down after feeling that Cindy's remark was towards her.

"Like from me?" asked Kelly.

"What?" asked Cindy surprised.

"Cindy, I'm sorry...," said Kelly putting her hands on her head trying to come up with the right words to say.

"Sorry about what?" asked Cindy confused.

"For not realizing that Brandon was the father; for wasting everyone's time...," replied Kelly.

"You're not. Why would you think that?" asked Cindy.

"I dunno. I felt like I've been apologizing to everyone lately about this. I just want to be forgiven," said Kelly.

"Kelly, I think the only person who you should forgive is you," said Cindy.

Kelly looks up at Cindy.

"So you and Jim are not mad?" asked Kelly.

Cindy pauses and looks at Kelly. Kelly looks back.

"No, at first we were a little surprised about the news...we weren't sure what was going to happen. We were so worried about Brandon and Brenda growing old and lonely," replied Cindy.

"But we're so happy that you and Brandon worked things out," added Cindy.

"Thank you," said Kelly.

Kelly leans in and gives Cindy a hug.

"Well, I'm just thankful that you're making Brandon happy," said Cindy.

"I'm trying my best to," said Kelly.

"I know you are," said Cindy.

"I'm glad that Brandon and I are in a good place right now. I know we lost so much time when we were apart that I was afraid that it'll be hard to get back what we used to have," said Kelly.

"But it turns out that loving Brandon comes very naturally to me," added Kelly.

"Is that why he's been smiling all the time?" joked Cindy.

"It might be," replied Kelly smiling.

They paused for a second.

"Kelly, I know that the past few years haven't been easy for you. I heard about Dylan and Jackie. I'm really sorry," said Cindy.

"Thank you. With Dylan, it always complicated. We were trying to make it work but in our hearts, we knew we both wanted different things. I refused to believe it when my mom told me that he would never change," said Kelly.

"I just hated to admit that she was right," added Kelly.

"I'm sorry," said Cindy.

"Thank you. Jackie's death was especially hard on Silver," said Kelly.

Cindy looks at Kelly.

"And what about you?" asked Cindy.

"I tried to be strong for Silver but a part of me regrets not forgiving Jackie sooner. I just kept thinking that there would still be time to make things right," replied Kelly.

"She was reaching out to me and I waited till the last minute to reach back," added Kelly.

"The important thing is that you made things right before it was too late," said Cindy.

"I lost count of how many times I wanted to reconcile things with her but every time we would talk, we would get into an argument," said Kelly.

"About what?" asked Cindy.

"We argued about a lot of things but mostly about Mel and Dylan," replied Kelly.

"I was defending Dylan, trying to hope that he'll come back and be a father when all along my mother was right. I guess I just didn't want to believe that," added Kelly.

"What if Dylan had been the man you wanted him to be? Would you rather be with him?" asked Cindy.

"I don't know. I think I've been disappointed too many times to believe that there was anything left," replied Kelly.

"And how's that different from your relationship with Brandon?" asked Cindy.

"Well aside from being attracted to one another, we both want the same thing," replied Kelly.

"Which is?" asked Cindy.

"Each other and a family to love and care for," replied Kelly.

"And how does that make you feel?" asked Cindy.

"Like I'm the luckiest woman in the world," replied Kelly.

Kelly sees Sammy run to her and starts to smile.

"Hi honey; what do you have there?" asked Kelly.

"Here mommy; I got this for you," replied Sammy holding a daisy flower.

Sammy hands the flower to Kelly.

"Awww...thank you, honey," said Kelly giving Sammy a kiss.

Sammy starts to run back to the playground.

"Hey, where are you going?" asked Kelly.

"I have to get something for grandma," replied Sammy.

Cindy smiles.

"Ok. Don't be too long. We have to go back soon," said Kelly.

"Ok," said Sammy.

"Well, you must've done something right. Because Sammy is one terrific kid," said Cindy.

"Thanks. Yeah, I turn to him whenever I need someone to cheer me up. I forget all my worries. Nothing else matters," said Kelly.

"Kinda like whenever I'm with Brandon," added Kelly.

"I'm glad," said Cindy.

"If you don't mind me asking; how is Brandon as a father?" asked Cindy curiously.

"He's great. But I always get the feeling like they're having too much fun and I have to step in and be the parent," replied Kelly.

"I used to feel the same way with Brandon and Jim," said Cindy.

Cindy and Kelly both stare at each other smiling.

"Like father like son," said both Cindy and Kelly together.

They started to laugh.

"Like the other day when they were playing almost till midnight. I walk in and they gave me this sad-puppy dog look. It was so cute," smiled Kelly.

Cindy laughs.

"So I assumed that Sammy is thrilled about the wedding," said Cindy.

"Yeah, we promised him that he can be the ring bearer," said Kelly.

"He's gonna look so cute in a tux," smiled Cindy.

Kelly smiles.

"Cindy, can I tell you something?" asked Kelly.

"Of course, dear," replied Cindy.

"I know that Brandon and I said we would take our time with the wedding, I can't help but be so excited. I have so many ideas for the wedding and I just can't wait to use them," said Kelly.

"Does he know that?" asked Cindy.

"No. I don't want to rush things like we did the first time. I just want things to go as smoothly as possible," replied Kelly.

"Me too. I know it's not in my place to intrude but I still think that you should tell him," said Cindy.

"I want to but I'm afraid I might scare him off. Do you think so?" asked Kelly.

"Kelly, I have not seen Brandon this happy in years. I'm sure he's just as excited as you are," replied Cindy.

Kelly smiles.

Meanwhile at the Chronicle, Brandon is showing Jim around the office.

"So, what do you think, dad?" asked Brandon.

"Very impressive. I always knew you would make it big," replied Jim.

"Dad, this isn't as big as it seems. Most of the time, I just trying my best to keep this place from going under," explained Brandon.

"Still, this is what you always wanted," said Jim.

"Well, second to what I always wanted," smiled Brandon correcting Jim.

"So how are things with Kelly?" asked Jim.

"Better than I thought it would. I'm glad I made the right decision of moving back here," replied Brandon.

"You know, I'm really proud of you for turning your life around," said Jim.

"Dad, please, not that again," said Brandon.

"No, this is a good thing," said Jim.

"Dad, you say this to me every time we see each other. I think I deserve some credit," said Brandon.

"And you do. But until recently, your mother and I were just worried about you," said Jim.

"Then when we heard that you were seeing Kelly again, we just knew that you were in good hands," added Jim.

"Well, if you look at it that way," said Brandon sarcastically.

"Brandon, your mother and I are so proud of all your accomplishments at work. But we were just worried when every time we saw you, you seemed lonely and unhappy," said Jim.

"Was it that obvious? Besides there was nothing wrong with me being alone. I was busy with my work and traveling to date," said Brandon.

"If you were so happy; then why did you give it all up?" asked Jim.

"I see it as trading in for something better," replied Brandon smiling.

Jim pauses for a second.

"Good answer," said Jim.

"You know I don't hear you giving Brenda the third degree," said Brandon.

"She's in a different situation," said Jim.

"How so?" asked Brandon.

"Well Brenda's no longer alone," said Jim.

"Who's Brenda seeing? Do I know him?" asked Brandon.

"No, it's not like that," replied Jim.

"Is it Dylan?" asked Brandon.

"No," replied Jim.

"Then who is it?" asked Brandon.

"I don't know," replied Jim.

"What?" asked Brandon.

"All she said was that she's with someone and she's happy," replied Jim.

Brandon gives Jim a weird and confused look.

"Don't give me that look. I'm just as clueless as you are," said Jim.

Brandon gives Jim another weird look.

"C'mon dad. Maybe a couple of drinks will get you to tell me," joked Brandon.

Jim laughs and they leave the office.

That evening we see Brandon and Kelly holding each other on the porch bench.

Kelly is trying to enjoy the quietness with Brandon but all he could do is complain about Brenda.

"I don't know what's up with Bren lately. She didn't use to be so distant with me. We used to share everything," said Brandon.

"You're still close. It's just that you both live very separate lives now," said Kelly.

"It's just that before you came back into my life, she was practically all I had to talk to," said Brandon.

Kelly smiles, leans in, and kisses Brandon.

"That's sweet...but give your sister some credit. If it's something important, she'll tell you when she's ready," said Kelly smiling.

"Ok...so what's with you?" asked Brandon.

"What?" asked Kelly smiling.

"Why are you smiling?" asked Brandon smiling too.

"Why? Can't a girl be happy because she has everything she could ever want in this world?" asked Kelly still smiling.

"I dunno. It's just you were still tense with my parents being here and now you're all giddy," replied Brandon.

"I was but after having a very thorough talk with your mom, I feel much better," said Kelly.

"Well, that's great, babe," said Brandon giving Kelly a quick kiss on the cheek.

"She also told me to be honest about the wedding," said Kelly looking at Brandon.

Brandon gives Kelly a confused look.

"Why? Were you not being honest with me before?" asked Brandon.

"No, it's not that," replied Kelly.

"Then, what is it?" asked Brandon.

"I know that we agreed to take our time with planning the wedding. But I have a lot of ideas that I want to run by you," replied Kelly.

"Such as?" asked Brandon.

"Well for starters, I know a church close by here that would be perfect for the wedding. And there's a great ballroom right next door for the reception," replied Kelly.

Brandon smiles as he listens to Kelly continue to talk about the wedding.

"And we could have lilies everywhere and...," said Kelly.

"What?" asked Kelly who noticed Brandon is smiling at her.

"Nothing, it's just that hearing you go on and on about the wedding really shows me that you want this as much as I do," said Brandon still smiling.

"Well I do. What? You didn't think I want to get married?" asked Kelly.

"No, that's not it. I just wanted to make sure that we're in the same place," replied Brandon.

"Uh huh...I can't believe how little faith you have in me," said Kelly sarcastically as she moves away from Brandon.

"Well, I guess I was wrong. Forgive me?" asked Brandon.

"No," replied Kelly playing along.

Brandon moves closer to Kelly again and starts to kiss her on her neck.

"That's not fair. You know I can't resist that," smiled Kelly.

"That's why I doing it," said Brandon going for Kelly's lips.

Kelly smiles and they kiss.

As Brandon pulls Kelly closer, they hear steps walking up to the house.

Brandon and Kelly break the kiss and sees Jim and Cindy.

"Hey guys," smiled Brandon.

"Hi; please don't mind us. Forget that we were ever here," said Cindy as they start to turn the other way.

"It's ok. We really weren't doing anything," said Kelly.

"We'll be in the house," said Jim.

"Guys, it's ok," said Brandon.

"So how was your evening?" asked Kelly to Jim and Cindy.

"Nice. We saw some of our old friends again," said Cindy.

"How are they?" asked Brandon.

"Nothing's changed," joked Cindy.

"We're actually getting pretty tired so we'll see you guys in the morning," said Jim.

"And leave you two alone," added Cindy.

"Thanks mom," said Brandon.

"Good night," said Kelly.

"Good night," said Jim and Cindy.

"Good night," said Brandon.

Jim and Cindy walk inside the house.

"Now, where were we?" asked Kelly.

"I believe my lips were here...am I right?" asked Brandon kissing Kelly's lips again.

"I stand corrected," said Kelly.

Coming Next - Donna Martin shows up unexpectedly and assumes that she has a vital role in Brandon and Kelly's wedding.

Author's Note - Even though it may not look that way at first but I do remember that this was the most difficult chapter for me to write. Most of which was because I had trouble coming up with dialogue for Jim and Cindy. My original idea was to have them loathe Kelly but knowing them, I knew they would never do that. For what it's worth, they love Kelly and supported the fact that she made Brandon happy.
