Chapter 45 - The Truth About Love

It's morning and we see Brandon and Kelly in bed sleeping. Kelly is resting her head on Brandon's chest. Brandon has an arm around Kelly. He wakes up first, smiles as he sees Kelly. He slowly lifts the sheets off Kelly's body. As he starts to slowly stroke Kelly's back, she starts to wake up. She wakes up and sees Brandon looking at her. She smiles.

"Hey you," said Kelly smiling.

"Good morning," said Brandon.

"Thanks for waking me up...I think we forgot to set the alarm," said Kelly.

"Actually it's still pretty early...you don't have to get up for another hour," said Brandon.

"Then, what gives?" joked Kelly.

"I just wanna give you a nice workout before you go to work," smiled Brandon.

"Again? Honey, I want to but I still feel kind of sore," said Kelly.

"Want me to kiss it and make it better?" asked Brandon with a dirty look.

"Wow, what has suddenly gotten over you?" asked Kelly with a surprised look.

"I just really want you...and love you," replied Brandon.

"Awww...I really want you too," smiled Kelly.

She leans in towards him. He takes her face in his hands and kisses her.

They break.

"You look beautiful," said Brandon.

"Thank you. If I look all worn out, you know who I have to thank for that," joked Kelly.

"Yeah, only I can satisfy you like that," smiled Brandon.

Kelly laughs.

"Seriously, it was amazing. And I'm looking forward to when we're married...and to our wedding night," smiled Kelly.

"Me too," said Brandon.

Brandon turns and glances at the clock.

"Eh…I told Nat that I'll be there early today to help out," said Brandon.

"You know, it's really nice of you to help Nat out...even if it's only temporary," said Kelly.

"Well, he's done a lot for me so I want to help him out in any way I can," said Brandon.

"Plus, I wouldn't mind having some extra cash for the wedding," added Brandon.

"Brandon, we've talked about this. It's really sweet that you want to help pay for the wedding but I don't want you to get stressed out over it," said Kelly.

"I love you," added Kelly.

They kiss.

"I love you too...and I'll even take Sammy to daycare," said Brandon.

"Awww...now I love you even more," said Kelly who goes and kisses him.

"But are you sure you have time? I could take him if you can't make it," said Kelly.

"No, it's no problem. We'll go to the Pit and get breakfast first," said Brandon as he gets off the bed and starts to get dress.

"Sounds like a great dad," said Kelly.

"Thanks," said Brandon.

"In fact, I'll see you later. Have breakfast ready," joked Kelly.

"Ok…will do," said Brandon as he walks towards the door.

Kelly smiles and waves Brandon goodbye. Brandon smiles and waves back.

He leaves the room and slowly closes the door behind him.

Kelly lies back down on the bed. She turns her head to the side to look at the time.

A little while later, we see Kelly walking out of the bedroom dressed in her work attire and ready to go.

She sees that the guest bedroom's door is opened. She walks towards the room only to find Abigail sounded asleep in her bassinet. Kelly smiled.

Kelly hears a voice coming from the living room. She walks towards the living room to find Brenda on the phone.

Brenda notices Kelly and gives her a quick wave. Kelly smiles and wave back.

"Ok, can I call you back? I have to go," asked Brenda to her caller.

"Ok, bye," said Brenda before ending the call.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" asked Brenda.

"No, not at all. I was up. You didn't have to stop talking because of me," replied Kelly.

"Oh it's ok; we'll talk later. I have to check on Abby anyway," said Brenda.

"I just went by your room. She's still fast asleep," said Kelly.

"Oh; thanks for checking on her," said Brenda.

"No problem," said Kelly.

"I'm still getting used to Abby not screaming her lungs out," laughed Brenda.

"If you really miss it, getting a baby to cry is not very hard," joked Kelly.

"Oh, I know that. They are so fragile...then again, so can we," joked Brenda.

"Yeah; so I was going to go grab breakfast at the Peach Pit; do you want to go?" asked Kelly.

"Sounds good to me. Let me go grab Abby," replied Brenda.

"And let me go get Silver," said Kelly.

At the Peach Pit, Kelly, Brenda with Abigail, Silver, and Sammy are eating breakfast. There are a lot of food on the table. Brandon, wearing his Peach Pit uniform comes by and brings them another plate.

"Are you guys sure you're just eating breakfast?" asked Brandon.

"Well, we are all very hungry," replied Brenda smiling.

"Plus, we just can't get enough of you," smiled Kelly.

"Does that mean I can expect a big tip later?" asked Brandon joking.

"Oh, you have no idea how big," replied Kelly.

"Guys, do you have to talk like that while we eat?" asked Silver who gives them a queasy look.

"Sorry, Silver," said Kelly.

"Look at it this way, Silver. The next time they complain about the things you do with your boyfriend, you can bring this up," said Brenda.

"That is if I ever get a boyfriend," said Silver.

"You will, Silver," said Brandon.

"And if you don't, you'll always have me," said Sammy who hugs Silver.

"Awww," said everybody laughs.

Nat walks by the table.

"Hey guys, I don't mean to interrupt but I really need Brandon to get to back to work. We're getting pretty busy here," said Nat.

"Ok; sorry Nat," said everybody.

Brandon follows Nat to the back.

"It's great that Brandon's helping Nat out," said Brenda.

"Yeah and it really takes us back to the good ol' times," said Kelly.

"Speaking of old times, we really should get to the good ol' school," added Kelly checking her watch.

"Ok; I just need to use the restroom really quickly. Can you watch Abby for a few moments?" asked Brenda.

"Sure," replied Kelly.

Brenda hands Kelly Abigail. Brenda gets up and walks to the restroom.

"So Kel, does holding Abby make you want to have more kids?" asked Silver.

"Kinda. But I'm just more focus on the wedding now. Maybe later," replied Kelly.

"Why? What are you thinking?" asked Kelly.

"Oh nothing. I just can't help picture myself as a mom sometimes when I see an adorable face like hers," replied Silver.

"Wow Silver, I can't believe I'm hearing those words coming out of your mouth," said Kelly.

"I know, right? It scares the hell out of me. I'm in no means ready to be a mom," said Silver.

"I think you'll be a great mom...when you're ready that is," said Kelly.

"Silver, you're my favorite aunt," said Sammy.

"Awww...thank you Sammy. But are you just saying that because I am your only aunt?" asked Silver.

Sammy goes and gives Silver a quick kiss on the cheeks. Kelly sees this and smiles.

"Ok, I got my answer," laughed Silver.

Brenda's phone starts to ring. Kelly glances over at the phone and sees a familiar name on the phone; a name whom she didn't expect to see on Brenda's phone but was waiting to hear back from herself. Silver and Sammy were too busy playing and joking around to notice the name on the phone. After a few rings, the call went to voicemail.

Brenda walks back to her the table. She takes Abigail from Kelly.

"Thanks Kel," said Brenda.

"No problem. By the way, your phone was ringing," said Kelly.

"Oh thanks," said Brenda.

Brenda checks her phone.

"Ok, you guys ready to go?" asked Brenda.

"Yeah; did you need to call somebody back first?" asked Kelly.

"No, it's ok. It's not urgent," replied Brenda.

"Oh ok. You sure?" asked Kelly not trying to let Brenda know what she saw on her phone.

"Yeah, let's go," replied Brenda.

"Ok guys; let's go," said Kelly as she gives Brenda a little look.

Brenda doesn't notice. Instead she turns and starts to walk towards the door. Kelly looks at her as Sammy and Silver follows Brenda towards the door.

Brandon acknowledges his goodbye to everybody.

He comes by to Kelly as he notices something may be bothering her.

"Hey, you ok?" asked Brandon.

"Yeah, sorry; my mind just drifted off a bit. It's nothing," replied Kelly.

"You sure?" asked Brandon.

"Yeah, I'll see you back home?" asked Kelly.

"You bet. Later babe," replied Brandon.

"Bye. I love you," said Kelly.

"I love you too," said Brandon.

They lean in and kiss.

Kelly and Brenda with Abigail walk into West Beverly High.

"You wanna know something?" asked Brenda.

"What's that?" asked Kelly.

"No matter how many times I think that this is the last time I'll be walking in here, I find myself coming back for more," replied Brenda.

"This is home," said Kelly.

"Definitely," smiled Brenda.

As they walk down a hallway, Brenda sees someone familiar. They stop walking.

"Boy, some things never change," said Brenda looking at Ryan.

"What never changes?" asked Kelly not noticing Ryan at first.

Brenda nods her head up indicating Ryan.

"Yeah, he still works here," said Kelly.

"Yeah, I know that," said Brenda.

"So, what are you surprise about?" asked Kelly.

"Nothing. I just forgot how cute he is," smiled Brenda.

"Do you mind if I go say hi?" asked Brenda.

Kelly has a surprised look on her face.

"No, go right ahead," replied Kelly.

"Ok. You go ahead. I'll catch up," said Brenda.

"Oh ok. My office is the one on the left," said Kelly.

"Thanks, I remember," said Brenda.

"Right," said Kelly.

"Oh, can you please take Abby?" asked Brenda.

"Sure," replied Kelly who tries to move her handbag away to make room for Abigail.

Brenda hands Kelly Abigail and walks off, leaving Kelly looking at her with a concerning look.

Kelly walks to her office and puts the bassinet with Abigail on her desk. She smiles as she watches Abigail sleep.

Kelly sits down and starts to settle into her work.

Brenda comes in. Kelly turns and looks at her.

"Hey, thanks for that," said Brenda.

"No problem," said Kelly.

"So um...I kinda need a favor; I mean, if it's ok," said Brenda.

"What is it?" asked Kelly.

"I was wondering if you or Brandon could watch Abby tonight for a few hours…tonight...Ryan asked me out to dinner," replied Brenda.

"It's not a date or anything like that. It's just a friendly dinner," added Brenda.

"Ummm...sure," said Kelly.

"You sure?" asked Brenda.

"Yeah, have a good time," replied Kelly.

"Thanks Kel. We won't be out late," said Brenda.

"Ok," said Kelly.

"Good," said Brenda.

Abigail starts to stir. She starts to cry softly. Kelly watches as Brenda picks up Abigail and pats her on the back.

"Good morning, sweetie," said Brenda who sits down.

"Be good, Abby...because you're going to spend some quality time with Aunt Kelly tonight," said Brenda.

Later that evening, we see Brandon and Kelly babysitting Abigail. They're sitting in the living room. Brandon is holding Abigail while Kelly is watching TV.

"I think I finally got her to go to sleep," said Brandon.

"Ok," said Kelly who turns off the TV.

"You didn't need to turn the TV off," said Brandon.

"It's ok. I wasn't really watching it," said Kelly who looks bothered.

"You ok?" asked Brandon.

"Yeah, why?" asked Kelly.

"You just look like something's bothering you," said Brandon.

"It's nothing," said Kelly.

"Ok," said Brandon.

"Hey, have you heard from Dylan lately?" asked Kelly.

"No; why?" asked Brandon.

"Nothing, I just thought he would at least contact you about the wedding," replied Kelly.

"Well, he hasn't," said Brandon.

"Well, don't you find that weird?" asked Kelly.

"Not weird. I think Dylan's just being Dylan. He'll come around when he's ready," replied Brandon.

"Has he called you?" asked Brandon.

"No," replied Kelly.

"...and that's bothering you?" asked Brandon venturing a guess on what's bothering Kelly.

"No," said Kelly.

"He's talked to Brenda though," added Kelly.

"Oh really?" asked Brandon.

"Yeah, did she say anything to you?" asked Kelly.

"No," replied Brandon.

"Yeah, can you believe that?...I mean, we're his friends too," asked Kelly.

"He'll talk to us when he's ready. And when that day comes, we'll listen," replied Brandon.

"We're planning a wedding, here. We can't wait for him to reply," said Kelly.

"Aren't you at all curious of what he may be hiding from us?" asked Kelly.

"Kel, Dylan's always been somewhat mysterious. He tends to open up to certain people," replied Brandon.

"You mean, Brenda?" asked Kelly.

"Depends on his mood. If it makes you feel any better, sometimes I can't figure him out either," replied Brandon.

"No, that doesn't make me feel better. I've made such an effort to get him to come to our wedding; not to mention, just talk to him. But Brenda's been getting calls from him all day," said Kelly.

"How did you know that she's been getting calls from him all day?" asked Brandon.

"I saw his name on her phone whenever her phone rang," replied Kelly.

Kelly looks as Brandon gives her a disapproved look.

Brandon puts Abigail back in her bassinet.

"There you go, sweetie," said Brandon to Abigail.

Brandon goes and sits next to Kelly.

"Kel, I don't want to overreact to this but do I have something to be worry about here?" asked Brandon.

Kelly looks at Brandon.

"No; of course not. I love you...only you," said Kelly.

"Good, because I love you too...and only you too," smiled Brandon.

They kiss and lean in for a hug.

"I have to be up early again tomorrow. You coming to bed?" asked Brandon.

"No, not yet. I'll watch Abby," replied Kelly.

"Ok. Do you want me to keep you company?" asked Brandon.

"No, it's ok. I'll be in soon," replied Kelly.

"Ok. Because if you change your mind, I'll marry you right now. I'm not kidding, I'll do it," joked Brandon.

Kelly chuckles and laughs a bit.

"I'll think about it," said Kelly.

"Ok. I'll be in there thinking about you," smiled Brandon.

Kelly smiles.

"Night honey," smiled Kelly.

"Night babe," said Brandon.

Brandon goes to Abigail.

"Night Abby," said Brandon softly before going to the bedroom.

Sometime afterwards, we see Brenda slowly opening the front door. Kelly is in her pajamas and ready for bed.

Brenda sees Kelly.

"Hey," said Brenda.

"Hey," said Kelly.

"Everybody's asleep?" asked Brenda.

"Yeah," replied Kelly.

"I'm sorry, Kel. I didn't mean to keep you waiting," said Brenda.

"No, it's ok. Abby behaved the entire time," said Kelly.

"Awww...I'm glad," said Brenda.

"Why don't you go to bed? You must be tired," added Brenda.

"Oh, I'm not tired. How was your date?" asked Kelly.

"It was not a date...but it was good," replied Brenda.

"Well, I think I know a date when I see one...and the smile on your face looks like you were just on one," said Kelly.

Brenda smiles.

"Well, it was pretty nice to spend an evening with a nice guy," said Brenda.

"Yeah, Ryan is nice. You know if you want to ask him to come to the wedding with you, please feel free," said Kelly.

"Thanks Kel. But I think I'm already bringing somebody," said Brenda.

"Oh, who is it?" asked Kelly.

"Just a friend," replied Brenda.

"Could this be the friend who you were speaking with earlier this morning?" asked Kelly.

"It could be," replied Brenda who looks nervous.

"So who is he?" asked Kelly.

"Could we talk about this in the morning? I'm tired," replied Brenda who starts to walk to her room.

"Brenda, I know it's Dylan," said Kelly.

Brenda stops walking and turns around.

"Yes, it is," said Brenda.

"So, why didn't you tell us?" asked Kelly.

"I didn't think it was a good time since you and Brandon just got back together," replied Brenda.

"Look Kel, before you say anything else; let me make one thing clear, we're going together as friends," added Brenda.

"He called me up and asked if we might want to go together as friends," added Brenda.

"It's good that you guys never lost touch," said Kelly.

"He reached out to me...so I thought I'd do the same," said Brenda.

"Good to know that you both are coming to the wedding," said Kelly hesitating.

"You don't sound too happy about it," said Brenda.

"I am. And just so you know that I'll be happy even if you two were coming together as a couple," said Kelly.

"Kel, I'm really tired of getting into an argument with you every time Dylan's name comes up," said Brenda.

"This isn't an argument. I'm happy for you two," said Kelly who is a little offended by Brenda's comment.

"Kel, don't make excuses. I know where this is going," said Brenda.

"Ummm...so, where is this going?" asked Kelly.

"It bothers you that I'm talking with Dylan, right? If so, he's my friend too and I think I deserve the right to talk to him without your permission," asked Brenda.

"No, of course it does not bother me. We're all friends; it's just weird given the history between us," replied Kelly.

"So, what am I supposed to do? Stop talking to my friends because you think it's weird?" asked Brenda.

"What's wrong with you tonight? All I did want is to talk to you," asked Kelly.

"No, this is not a talk. This is an interrogation. You see me talking with Dylan. You see me talking with Ryan. Are you trying to protecting them from me?" asked Brenda.

"No, I just don't want them to get the wrong idea when you leave town," replied Kelly.

"Kel, I think as a friend, you would think I have more respect than that," said Brenda.

"Brenda, I didn't mean it like that," said Kelly.

"Then how did you mean it?" asked Brenda.

Kelly looks at Brenda with a mean look. She wanted to tell her how she felt. But the truth was that she didn't know how she really felt. She didn't know how to answer her. She didn't know why she was feeling this way.

"You know, I can't talk to you when you're like this," replied Kelly.

"That's fine. You started this conversation but I'm going to end it with this...You keep worrying about Dylan and Ryan. But you forgot the one person you should pay more attention to," said Brenda.

"And who's that?" asked Kelly.

"Brandon. Don't forget that you're marrying my brother. The same guy who refused to go on a date for 10 years because he was waiting for you to come back into his life. The same guy who asked me when I am going to see you so I can give him a full report. The same guy who wishes that you were by his side for the rest of his life." replied Brenda.

"What are you talking about? Brandon and I are fine. We're getting married," said Kelly.

"Exactly. Usually when someone is getting married, they started to prepare for their life with the other person; not spending a lot of time talking about their exes," said Brenda.

Brenda walks away. Kelly wanted to follow Brenda. Kelly wanted to tell Brenda that she was completely out of line for accusing her of being unfaithful to Brandon. Because she wasn't. She loves Brandon and being with him and Sammy made her feel complete. That's what she's been wanting for years. So what was the problem? Still angry, Kelly continued to think about what Brenda said as she quietly walks into her bedroom. As she continues to think about what Brenda said, her anger turned into guilt. While it was true that she loved Brandon, she started feeling guilty about thinking about Dylan with Brenda and then Ryan too much all day long.

She reassured Brandon that nothing was going on between her and Dylan. But she knew that if Brandon knew that she was even thinking about Dylan, it would get him worried. She sees that Brandon is sleeping soundly. She climbed onto the bed. She lies on her side of the bed. She doesn't go to sleep. Instead she looks up at the ceiling. She then looks at Brandon as he begins to stir. He turns around and looks at her.

"Brenda's home?" asked Brandon.

"Yeah," replied Kelly.

"Are you ok?" asked Brandon who has a sleepy look on his face. He senses something's bothering Kelly.

"I'm fine," replied Kelly.

"Good; good night" said Brandon who turns and closes his eyes.

"Brandon?" asked Kelly.

"Yeah, Kel?" asked Brandon.

"Thanks for asking," replied Kelly.

Brandon opens his eyes, turns and looks at Kelly with a confused look.

"You're welcome," said Brandon.

He opens his arms hinting Kelly to move closer towards him.

He closes his eyes as he holds her. Kelly felt warmed and loved in Brandon's arms. She closes her eyes and goes to sleep.

The next morning, Brandon wakes up with the sunshine on his face. He rubs his yes and turns to see Kelly by her side looking at the ceiling.

"Hey; good morning," said Brandon.

"Good morning," said Kelly.

"How did you sleep?" asked Brandon.

"Ok, I guess," replied Kelly.

"Something wrong?" asked Brandon.

Kelly looks at Brandon without answering at first.

"No, I'm fine," replied Kelly.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" asked Brandon.

"There's nothing to talk about," replied Kelly.

"Ok. What do you have plan for today?" asked Brandon.

"Nothing...except...," replied Kelly.

"Except what?" asked Brandon.

"Except if it's ok with you, can I spend the day with you?" asked Kelly.

"But Kel, I have to work," replied Brandon.

"I don't mind," said Kelly.

"You sure? You want to just sit around at the Peach Pit all day long?" asked Brandon.

"Yeah, if you don't mind. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a Saturday," replied Kelly.

"Ok then...you sure nothing's wrong?" asked Brandon.

"Brandon, for the last time, nothing's wrong. I just want to the day with you. I'll bring Sammy," replied Kelly.

"Ok. Sorry, I ask. It just sounded too good to be true," said Brandon.

At the Peach Pit, it's almost closing time. The place is almost empty. We see Kelly and Sammy at the counter. Nat is behind the counter showing Sammy how to make a Mega Burger from his side of the counter.

"With lettuce, you can put as much as you want as long as it's fresh," said Nat.

"I don't like lettuce," said Sammy.

"But it's good for you," said Kelly.

"That's right...now with mayonnaise, you don't want to put too much; otherwise it'll be too soggy. You also don't want to put too little; otherwise it'll be too dry," said Nat.

Brandon comes in from the back.

"Sounds like I've heard that exact same speech when I learned how to make a Mega Burger," said Brandon.

Nat looks and praises Brandon with a pat on the back.

"You see, the good ones never forget. My job is done," said Nat.

Kelly and Sammy laughs.

"Enjoy your burger, Sammy," said Nat.

"Thanks Nat," said Sammy who takes the burger with both hands.

"You got it, honey?" asked Kelly.

"Yeah," replied Sammy taking a big bite of the burger.

"So, buddy, how is it?" asked Brandon.

"Good; I help made it," replied Sammy.

"Yeah, you did," said Brandon who goes to Sammy.

"Can I have a bite?" asked Brandon.

Sammy slowly puts part of his burger into Brandon's mouth.

Brandon takes a bite.

"Well, how is it?" asked Kelly.

"Delicious," replied Brandon.

Silver walks over the counter.

"Hey guys," said Silver.

"Hey Silver," said everybody.

"So Silver, what can I get you?" asked Brandon.

"Mmmm...I'll take a megaburger," replied Silver.

"You want a piece of mine?" asked Sammy.

"It's ok Sammy; you can keep yours," replied Silver.

"You guys want a tour of the back and kitchen?" asked Nat.

"Ooooo mom, can I, please?" asked Sammy to Kelly.

"Ok, as long you behave," replied Kelly.

"I will," said Sammy.

"I'll come too...maybe I'll grab something to eat in the kitchen," said Silver.

"Haha...well then, follow me," said Nat.

Sammy and Silver walk behind the counter. They follow Nat as they walk to the back.

"You look tired," said Kelly to Brandon.

"Tell me about it. I gotta tell you. I love Nat but I'm getting tired so easily now," said Brandon.

"Want a massage later?" asked Kelly.

"That would be great. Thanks," replied Brandon.

"Hey, thanks for spending the day with me today and for bringing Sammy with you," added Brandon.

"Happy to spend the day together as a family," said Kelly.

"I don't know about that. I barely got to talk to you guys all today. It was so beautiful outside that I feel bad you guys missed out on that," said Brandon.

"We don't mind," said Kelly.

"Kel, you know you can tell me if something's bothering you," said Brandon.

"Brandon, there's nothing bothering me. Do you not want us to spend the day with you?" asked Kelly.

"No, but I do find it weird that all of a sudden you're acting this way right after last night's talk with Brenda," replied Brandon.

Kelly looks at Brandon with a guilty look.

"You heard us?" asked Kelly.

"Yeah. Sorry, I wasn't trying to eavesdrop. I just heard you guys from the bedroom," replied Brandon.

"I'm sorry," said Kelly.

"For what?" asked Brandon.

"For being so insecure about everything. I don't even know why I'm feeling this way," replied Kelly.

"Why didn't you tell me this when I asked you last night?" asked Brandon.

"I didn't want you to worry or get mad at me…so are you mad?" replied Kelly.

"Is this about Dylan?" asked Brandon.

"Yes," replied Kelly.

"No, I'm not mad," replied Brandon.

"That's different," said Kelly surprised by Brandon's answer.

"But I am worried about you, though," said Brandon.

"Brandon, I love you and I reassure that I only love you," said Kelly.

"I love you too. But it's not that," said Brandon.

"Why, what else are you worried about?" asked Kelly.

"You tell me," replied Brandon.

Kelly looks at Brandon with a silent look before answering.

"You want me to talk to Brenda, don't you?" asked Kelly.

"If it'll stop your worrying," replied Brandon.

"I tried to talk to her but she accused me of cheating on you," said Kelly.

"Don't worry about that. You're not going to lose me. And I'm not going to let you go," said Brandon.

"Good, I'm glad," smiled Kelly.

"So are you gonna talk to her?" asked Brandon.

"Yeah, I'll talk to her tonight," replied Kelly.

"Or, you can talk to her right now," said Brandon looking at the door.

Kelly turns around to see Brenda coming in the door with Abigail.

"Perfect timing," said Kelly.

Brenda walks in and walks to Brandon and Kelly.

"Hey guys," said Brenda.

"Hey Bren. Hey Abby," said Brandon.

"Hey Kel," said Brenda.

"Hi," said Kelly.

"Kelly, if you have some time, can we talk?" asked Brenda.

"I guess I'll leave you ladies alone," said Brandon excusing himself.

"You want me to take Abby?" asked Brandon.

"Sure. Thanks Brandon," said Brenda.

"Not a problem," said Brandon.

"Hey, don't forget the massage, later," said Brandon to Kelly.

"Wear the uniform and I won't forget," smiled Kelly.

Brandon smiles at Kelly as he walks away.

"Can we sit over here?" asked Brenda pointing to a booth.

"Ok," replied Kelly.

They go and sit at a table.

"How was your day?" asked Brenda.

"Good. How was yours?" asked Kelly.

"Good," replied Brenda.

"I didn't see you all day. Were you guys here the entire time?" asked Brenda.

"Yeah, I figured, I should spend more time with Brandon," replied Kelly.

"Yeah about that; Kel, I'm sorry about what I said last night. I didn't mean to intrude in your life," said Brenda.

"No, it's ok. I just needed a reminder that I need to spend more time with Brandon," said Kelly.

"Kel, how you and Brandon work on your relationship, that's your business. I didn't mean what I said," said Brenda.

"Thank you," said Kelly.

"Because I know that he loves you so much. I just don't want to see him get hurt. He went through so much and he's such in a good space now with you and Sammy. And I can tell you that he's never looked happier…because of you," said Brenda.

"Thank you and he's made me happier too," said Kelly.

"And Brenda, I'm sorry too. I didn't mean to intrude in your date with Ryan and your conversation with Dylan," said Kelly.

"Kel, it's ok. We all have history together. It's normal to feel this way sometimes. I know that I was feeling the same way a long time ago. If this whole thing with Ryan or Dylan bothers you, please let me know," said Brenda.

"No, we're all friends. You shouldn't feel uncomfortable about speaking to one another," said Kelly.

"I guess it just bothered me that Dylan did say a word to me or Brandon about coming to the wedding," said Brenda.

"Kel, that's just how Dylan is. You never know who he'll turn to," said Dylan.

"I know. Don't you just hate that?" asked Kelly.

"I know, right? I'd figured after knowing him for so many years, it'll be easier to deal with but it's not sometimes," replied Brenda laughing.

"But he's our Dylan…and we love him," said Brenda.

"Yeah, it's hard not to," said Kelly.

"Eat your heart out, Dylan McKay," said Brenda.

They laughed as they remembered the past.

Brandon comes by.

"Hey, what's so funny?" asked Brandon carrying Abigail in his arms.

Kelly whispers something in Brenda's ear.

They busted out laughing.

"Ok, are you guys laughing at me?" asked Brandon.

They give Brandon a blank stare before laughing again.

"Well, I see that you guys patched things up," said Brandon.

"I guess that's what's counts," added Brandon as he starts to walk away.

"Oh, waiter, could you come here for a moment?" asked Brenda.

"What for?" asked Brandon.

"For your tip," replied Kelly.

Brandon gives up and goes to Kelly.

"Yes, madam?" asked Brandon.

"Come here, you. What would I do without you?" asked Kelly to Brandon.

"I could say the same thing about you," replied Brandon.

They look at each other.

"Oh, why don't I take my baby from you so you two can go at it," said Brenda.

Brandon hands Abigail to Brenda.

Brandon and Kelly kiss. They hug and he puts his arm around her.

Nat, Sammy, and Silver come by.

"Sammy. How are you? I haven't seen you all day?" asked Brenda.

"Fine. Nat showed me how to make sundaes," replied Sammy.

"He did? That's great," said Brenda.

"So now that everybody's here. I just wanted to tell you guys, thank you for letting me stay and for calming this sweet little bundle of joy down…but now I must go home," said Brenda.

"So soon?" asked Kelly.

"Yeah, I'd better be heading back to Minnesota. I have a feeling that Jim and Cindy are worried about me and Abby," replied Brenda.

"Well, give them our love," said Brandon.

"Will do," said Brenda smiling.

"Well, since we're all here. How about we all have dinner here?" asked Nat.

"Sure Nat. Great idea," replied everybody.

"Can I help?" asked Sammy.

"Do you want to help me set the tables?" asked Silver.

"Ok," replied Sammy.

"Thanks guys," said Kelly.

They follow Nat to the back.

"I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer to help out with the wedding," said Brenda.

"Oh. You've done plenty by bringing us back together," said Kelly.

"Does that mean I get to be a bridesmaid?" asked Brenda.

"You better!" replied Kelly.

They hug.
