Dean had never once before in his life felt as helpless as he did now. He had to keep his head in the game, not for his sake, but for Sam's.
He was now uncaring on how much noise he was making, his only goal was to find his brother.
Gordon hadn't shown up yet, which gave Dean a relief, but also a fear that there was a chance he had Sam. The fact that he hadn't heard a gunshot noise though, gave him some comfort.
He was jogging now, to keep up with his lack of energy, only stopping for a few seconds at a time before returning to scouring through the trees.
He honestly had no clue where to start looking, he figured the best bet would be to go through the way he came from, but in the midst of all the chaotic running, he felt stupid now at how he didn't remember the right way.
Trying not to overthink the situation, he carried on his path of jogging, debating whether or not to call out Sam's name.
Screw it.
"SAM!"
Sam's shirt was ribbons, barely clinging on together if it weren't for the blood and sweat that acted as its glue.
Sam was still unconscious, but even he grimaced in his uncomfortable passed out state.
Muffled voices greeted him, as he squinted his closed eyes in the first stages of fully becoming awake. He waved the loud voices aside, until his name was mentioned.
"Yeah, we got him, Sam Winchester, just like ya requested my friend."
He visibly frowned at that, wondering how stupid he was to get himself in this situation.
"Oh! And it looks like dear Sammy's awake now- Hey Gordon?"
There was a pause in which Sam could imagine Gordon replying sternly: 'What?'
"Ya wanna hear him?"
Hear me? What the hell does he mean by that?-
However, his question was answered as the man who had tortured Sam an hour ago, brought a larger knife into his hand, and sliced painfully against one of Sam's open wounds near his chest. The blood had stopped, but with this, it came seeping out again. Not being able to withhold the tremendous amount of agony he was in, Sam cried out.
"Bet ya liked that didn't ya Gordon? The man said, as he brought his phone closer to Sam's trembling figure.
Sam's green hazel eyes were open now, wincing as the pain didn't seem to cease.
"Just make sure you don't kill him, Axel." Sam heard from the other end of the phone, thinking the guy must have put it on speaker.
"Just having fun-"
"You know what this means to me, don't you Axel?" came Gordon's voice again.
"Yeah, sir."
"That'd better be a Yes."
"Yes.. sir."
"Good… now, I better be going, I have a defiant Winchester I need to hunt down in these woods. I'll be sure to tell him when I track him down that Sam's gone, as well as what's happening to him, just to watch Dean get lost in his anger and grief… then killing him will be so much easier."
Before Axel had time to reply, Gordon hung up.
Sam couldn't process what he had just heard.
Gordon was going to kill Dean? No, that wasn't going to happen- Dean knows what he's doing. Always does. C'mon Dean, you got this…
Sam felt an abrupt burst of pain from his nose, as Axel threw a hard punch at his face. Feeling blood flow profusely out of his nose, he kept his head down and found it hard to properly breathe. He didn't have any energy to even raise his head.
Hearing Axel walk away from the room and shutting the door behind, Sam wondered whether he would die from the blood loss alone…
After what felt like hours of shouting, but was actually 45 minutes, Dean felt himself going hoarse. His worry for his brother's well being was enveloping him in a state of grief, fear and frustration.
A sudden rustle from the bushes had Dean stop immediately, as he looked around, trying to make sense of the direction it came from. Another, much louder rustle followed, as Dean silently approached the bush in which he figured the sound to be coming from.
Cautiously approaching, Dean prayed hell that it was Sam.
"Sammy?"
When only another smaller rustle greeted him, he tried again.
"Sam?"
Dean saw a figure emerge from behind the bushes, and felt his heart hammer against his chest at who it was.
Gordon.
"Hey Dean." Gordon began casually, as if he were not trying to kill him and his brother almost one hour ago.
"Gordon." Dean spoke out, not bothering to hide the immense loathing he had for the hunter.
"Nah, I'm afraid Sam's not here." Gordon said, a grin spreading across his face.
Dean tensed.
"What the hell have you done with him you bastard?" Dean gritted at him, dreading the worst possible answer.
"Me? Oh nothing." Gordon said, both hands raising up in a surrender motion to emphasise his so-called innocence.
Gordon purposefully let a pause hang, to give Dean that sweet relief.
"Well, not me exactly. Had a friend come over just in case I couldn't get past you darn Winchester's back at the shack. He was waiting in the woods, waiting for your brother to show himself, then he shot him."
The horrified look on Dean's face was too priceless to miss as Gordon thought that it was great to toy with the eldest Winchester.
"Shot him with a dart. Nothing life threatening, just something so he wouldn't struggle. Then Axel got a hold of him, brought him out to a wonderful room where Sam would be tied up, exactly like you were. And then, well, let's say it hasn't been pleasant for darling Sammy this past hour."
"I swear to god, if you did something to my brother, I'll kill you slowly, you sick son of bitch."
"Watch it- that's my momma you're talking about. But oh Dean, I'm not doing anything to Sammy. It's Axel who's the one slicing into your brother. I heard his screams..."
Well, chapter 5 done! What did ya think? I tried to make it more descriptive, but I live in the UK and it's evening right now; my mind kept wondering to horrible exams just 2 weeks away... dreading to even start revision because that would only show me how much I don't remember :(
Anyways, that's why I wrote this on a normal Sunday evening, to get my mind off that looming prospect! :)
Sam seems to be going through a hella lot right now, with torture from the idiot Axel guy, who, don't worry, will soon get a taste of his own medicine haha.
But a gordon and dean showdown? I'm honestly debating how to write that part, because I wanna make it engaging, suspenseful as well as entertaining for you guys!
Anyways, hope you enjoyed this chapter, and have a great day! :)
