That day, a huge crowd heads towards Bright Moon hoping to witness a moment of joy, for a new queen was to be crowned, albeit for tragic reasons.
Two figures somewhat taller than the rest of the Etherians covered in elegant white robes with dark blue borders covering their faces, each wearing necklaces; one with a blue crystal and the other with a purple crystal. They walked at a steady pace observing the white facade with gold accents on the wing-shaped finials and an equally glittering gem. They watched the large opalescent gem suspended in the air shining with a bluish-white light on a golden pedestal.
Passing through a diamond-shaped entrance with gold accents, arriving at a large hall with gold and pale pink accents. People chatted animatedly as the two figures made their way through the crowds. Finding an entrance leading to a hallway with orange walls and a purple ceiling.
- It's always funny how your toys make it easy to get close to watch the show and be in the middle without being noticed. It's better than just being invisible in the middle. - says the one with the purple crystal.
They advance down the hallway and come to another entrance, which overlooked a garden with lawns and green trees. An ice statue with two muscular figures stood as it melted from the heat of the sun, a winged horse with a colorful mane, a middle-aged woman makes her way out of the garden angrily, a pair of girls, one shorter than the other, one with blonde hair and a young man with brown skin watch as a pool of water had formed from the melting ice.
One of the figures is attracted by the sword on the blonde girl's back, especially by the energy that emanated from it.
He watches as she takes her sword and with a glow, it turns into a mop and the girl sets about cleaning up the mess. But her attention is diverted to the other shorter girl who is enveloped in a pale pink glow as she directs her gaze to the gem outside that is also glowing. The shorter girl, who was wearing thin cloth clothes and a white cloak, has a melancholy look that showed great regret.
- Who are you? - A girl with a thick coat and short blue hair speaks to them. - You should not be here until it is time. Get out. - The girl says and then points to the exit with one hand. The two figures look at each other and leave the place. - BOUNCER! - Shouts the girl as she raises her fists in the air with encouragement.
- Sadness and anger is not something that satisfies me. -Says one of the figures, who reveals a bit of her captivatingly beautiful face.
- Although there is something that is of interest, apparently. - The other answers.
- Oh, I must admit that it is rare to hear you speak with such a clear voice, brother. But you're right. However, a weapon transforming into a cleaning item isn't particularly useful. I wonder if apart from servant or warrior items, it would also take the form of art instruments, after all something like that would be interesting for when I need a new brush for my next canvas. -
In his mind she explored the idea of whether to use the skins of her next victims or those of her own legions. Slaanesh had always been adept at art and music.
- But the energy that emanates from the sword is what matters. Give it time and we will see how useful we can give it. - Tzeentch's plans are always far-fetched and are incomprehensible and contradictory to any mortal mind, or against Tzeentch's own interests. Only Tzeentch can see the possibilities of possible futures that intertwine like multicolored threads and filaments.
The dreary cold of Hordak's lab was punctuated by the sound of sparks crackling from shattered artifacts as metal parts, wires, and glass lay strewn on the floor.
After the portal incident and the princesses' escape, the place was destroyed, as was the leader of the Horde. Sitting on what was left of the portal structure, he has his red eyes fixed on some point of infinity, while Catra watches where he walks so as not to step on something that could hurt her feet. Seeing Hordak, there doing nothing, she adjusts the bandages on his right arm and decides to speak to him.
- Hordak. Our troops are just sitting around. What are we waiting for? We need to talk about plans for…- Before she can continue, she is interrupted by Hordak's deep, prominent voice.
- Plans? - He asks ironically while he chuckles. A defeated, sarcastic laugh. - Your last "plan" was to set off the portal machine before it was ready. Do you remember how that ended? -
- Whatever. - Catra crosses her arms and looks away. - It worked for us, didn't it? The rebellion is a mess. Their queen is gone. Now's our chance to gain the upper hand. -
- And how are we going to do that? -The difference in height was evident, Hordak's red eyes shone like two burning fathoms while a piece of technology from the First Ones shone on his chest. - When you couldn't even prevent the rebellion from infiltrating the Fright Zone? -
- Yeah, like I said before, it was Entrapta who… - Once again she is interrupted by Hordak's furious growl who turns and quickly picks up and throws a piece of the portal structure at her with ease, as if he had the weight of a feather, falling behind her. She lets out a scream as she covers herself and the heavy sound of metal crashing down through the room.
- I told you never to mention that name in my presence! If you are so desperate for a task, redouble our defenses so that no princess ever sets foot in the Fright Zone again. - Catra looks at the First Ones piece of technology. Hordak had not such strength, until Entrapta made him that suit. - Fortunately for you, my signal to Horde Prime went through. - Catra tried to say something but Hordak didn't let her. – That's the only reason why you're still here instead of facing a punishment for your failure. - Hordak threatened as he walked toward her making her back away. - NOW-GET-OUT!. - Hordak turns to his desk to press a button with his fist and closes the door.
Now any attempt by Hordak to intimidate her no longer worked. After being lost in that limbo of madness and death and being stalked by whatever had claimed to see her, anything Hordak threatened her with was empty words.
She heads to her room that was assigned to her after she was promoted to Force Captain and removes her bandages and notes the marks that were etched into her arm. Marks that seemed to have been burned into her skin, burning her fur. They were strange, not like anything written in the language of the First Ones.
One looked like three arrows stacked one on top of the other to form an inverted triangle.
Another was a skull with a horned helmet and two crossed swords behind it.
Another was also a skull, crowned with fangs.
Another appeared to be a long, serious face with large ears and a pair of antlers.
The last one was a skull with a kind of crown with wings spreading on each side.
She had made the excuse of being injured during the incident to use the bandages to hide her marks, she remembered Scorpia's reaction when she saw her like this:
- Catra! Are you all right?! After what happened with Entrapta you left and I didn't know anymore... - Scorpia comes running into Catra's room, at the same moment she finishes adjusting the bandages on her arm, Scorpia became hysterical when she saw her. - What happened to you, how did you do that to yourself?! - She immediately sits down next to her, trying to grab her arm. - Are you in pain?, are you feeling ok?, shall I go get something to ease the pain?, what can I do to help you? -
- Not touching me, and yes, I'm fine; it's just scratches. - Catra says reluctantly trying to pull away from Scorpia.
- It can't be just scratches, your whole arm is bandaged and... - Before he can continue, Catra interrupts her.
- I'm fine¡, I don't need your help. Get out of here, I need to rest. - She orders, turning her back to him. Scorpia stares at her for a moment and only withdraws with her head down.
Catra could still hear those voices in her head; "WE SEE YOU!". Since then her sleep has been poorly accomplished, as she constantly feels those presences around her, stalking her.
But there was something that bothered her. "Unite them" she had heard. The rebellion in those very moments must be going through its lowest moment, with no apparent queen or leader, it would be the germ to internal problems, if whatever had spoken to her was about indulging Adora to once again do as she wished and join the rebellion, she was wrong.
"Find them" she had heard too, she already knew where they were, in Bright Moon. She had almost taken it but for the convenient appearance of the rest of the princesses, she only had to reach Bright Moon and she would win.
She was making her own way and would destroy anyone who got in the way and the rebellion, even now, was an annoying obstacle. Hordak is useless, but she is the Captain of the Force.
The trees in Plumeria were more conspicuous than those in the rest of Etheria. Their thick, strong trunks made them durable, and their leaves beautified the kingdom.
The flora was the most characteristic of all the Etherian biomes and the austere and communal lifestyle of its inhabitants made it a paradisiacal place to attend if peace was sought, and in the last years of war, it was difficult to find a place radiating such natural beauty.
In the shade of the trees whose leaves swayed in the wind, hunched figures with red eyes and thin, stringy tails moved swiftly between the protruding roots and branches of the trees, between their crowns dropping leaves to the ground while emitting screeching noises. .
- Not-not. Known territory is not. - Says one of the creatures between squeaks.
- I told them we were lost, I said-said. - Another of them said.
-Never mind Kalmtrukz. - another interrupted, breathing heavily. - They'll still come for us-us. They won't stop, no-no. Dig!, yes-yes. Underground we must be. The surface is not a safe-safe place for us. -
- They will come!. - Shouted one with a semi-sharp voice - Clan Mors will come, cutting, screaming and killing!, yes-yes. -
- Silence and dig!, Quick-quick!. - Kalmtrukz roared, daring to command after turning his back on The Horned Rat.
- Bright light to give us the opportunity to escape, we must use it! Dig, dig! Underground we must go. - They go into the trees to start their work, away from everyone's sight.
The orange colors of the sunset adorn the sky while the villagers wait expectantly for the moment they have come to witness. A waterfall that filters blue, purple and orange colors through its waters while Castapella, Bow and Adora watch as Glimmer, in her white ceremonial robe, advances at a slow pace with the white light lantern in her hands. Arriving at a lilac arch with a golden detail in the center, Castapella unfolds a scroll and reads what is written there.
- We are gathered here today to witness the crowning of Queen Glimmer of Bright Moon, as she completes the Quest of Queens and begins her reign as our new leader. - Bow and Adora share worried looks. - She will be accompanied by two witnesses: Master Archer Bow and also Adora; She-ra, The Princess of Power. -
The two white-robed figures watch as a brown-skinned woman gestures with her hands, causing the waters of the waterfall to open, revealing a passageway into the mountain.
- Let the light guide you and go forth in peace and safety until you emerge as Queen of Bright Moon. - Glimmer, Bow and Adora enter the passage as the waters close behind them. The two figures make their way out of the place unnoticed.
- Their ability to manipulate magic does not seem to be restricted. - Slaanesh says in a captivating voice.
- She's a princess, just like the new queen, she must be bound to some gem like the one over there. - Tzeentch says, pointing to the Bright Moon rune stone.
- This one... She-ra, seems to have a similar one on her sword. Its energy is too similar to be a coincidence. - Slaanesh resumes his pacing. - I'm curious. I'll go see some more. - He says before disappearing in a trail of pinkish purple smoke and quickly passing unnoticed into the mountain.
Inside the tunnels beneath Bright Moon it had been a while now, and the new queen and her two witnesses were in trouble. The Guardian of Bright Moon had cornered them inside one of the caverns and in his attempt to enter, was causing it to collapse.
Adora asked Glimmer to transport them but Glimmer says she can't do it. To her refusal, Bow asks why she cannot.
- Because I haven't recharged my powers, okay! - Glimmer screams helplessly, as she curls up in a fetal position, leaning against the cave wall.
- WHAT?! - Bow and Adora ask at the same time as they are shaken by the earth trembling from the blows of the Cyclops worm outside.
- Recharging would mean taking the Moonstone's full power for myself. It would mean… admitting that she's really gone. - Glimmer said with teary eyes, as her heart shrank in her chest and memories of her mother flashed through her mind.
The sweet and kind words and the stern scoldings, even the moments of warmth or the bitterest fights were all she had left now.
- Everyone is already acting like she doesn't matter. It's like no one remembers her. No one cares!. - As she cries, she hugs a shiny crystal hoping it would convey that warmth she felt in her mother's arms, but it was cold and stiff, and the only warmth she felt was from her tears rolling down her cheeks.
- We're having a coronation because she's gone, and everyone is acting like it's a fun party, and it's not! - At that moment, Adora puts her hand on Glimmer's shoulder.
- Of course it's not. - Adora hugs her. A comforting, brotherly embrace that replaces the cold surface of the glass she was clinging to. - I just thought talking about it...about her… it hurts. - Glimmer hides her face in Adora's chest as she cries. - I'm supposed to take care of you, Glimmer. It's the last thing she asked me to do. I wanted to make today perfect, but I... -
- We just don't know what to do. - Bow says, finishing the phrase.
- I don't know either. But maybe we can still figure it out. Together. - Glimmer adds, looking up at her two best friends.
- Whatever path you choose, we'll always be there. - Adora says. – Right beside you.
- Even if that path leads to a giant crystal monster? - Glimmer asks doubtfully.
- Especially if the path leads us to a giant crystal monster. - Adora replies.
- Nothing we can't handle. We're great at quests. - Bow says with a confident smile.
While all this was going on, Slaanesh had been watching the whole scene for a while with a neutral face, hidden behind the shadows of the cave stones.
- Then come on. Let's do this. - Glimmer stands up with renewed self-assurance.
Adora draws her sword and shouts. - FOR THE HONOR OF GRAYSKULL! - A beam of golden light illuminates the place, Slaanesh stands and witnesses the moment Adora becomes She-ra, her confrontation against the guardian of Bright Moon. Her strength, her speed, her fierceness and her ability to mold the sword into different forms at will.
When Glimmer places the lantern on the altar and the place is illuminated with a celestial glow. While outside, Tzeentch for his part watches as the rune stone lights up releasing trails of light in various directions.
Having seen what he needed, Slaanesh leaves the place. Walking away from Bright Moon and into the Whispering Woods he meets Tzeentch.
- ɖɨɖ ʏօʊ ʄɨռɖ օʊȶ ǟռʏȶɦɨռɢ? - Tzeentch asks with his voice distorted and with different patterns and tones of voice.
- Enough to know what I need, plus a complete drama. Although paying enough attention you'll realize that their only defenders are clumsy beings. The atmosphere of mourning is not something I enjoy, however I will stick around to watch the regency of the new queen. After all, they are living in... "difficult" times. Their desire to fight is increasing, and perhaps the victories they achieve will make their arrogance grow. Or perhaps a blind desire to fight will be born in She-ra. These are appetizers I cannot pass up. -
- ǟռɖ ʏօʊʀ ƈɦǟʍքɨօռ? -
- Getting ready. The Winds of Magic will blow with a force, never before seen by any mortal in their ephemeral and futile lives. - He declared with burning passion in his voice and with his eyes glowing purple while the gems of both shone in their respective colors.
This is War:
A warning to the people
The good and the evil
This is war
To the soldier, the civilian
The martyr, the victim
This is war
It's the moment of truth and the moment to lie
The moment to live and the moment to die
The moment to fight, the moment to fight, to fight, to fight, to fight
To the right, to the left
We will fight to the death
To the edge of the Earth
It's a brave new world from the last to the first
To the right, to the left
We will fight to the death
To the edge of the Earth
It's a brave new world, it's a brave new world, it's a brave new world
A brave new world
The war is won
The war is won
A brave new world
