A.N. I must say that I am surprised with the quick readings that the first chapter of this fanfic in English reached, that means that I have made a good decision. Here in my journey learning to translate my stories in English, I tried to fix the way to place the dialogues so that those who read this fanfic in English are more familiar to them, it should be noted that I am still learning so don't be so rude with me xD it's a joke by the way. Thank you and enjoy the chapter. Please if you want, leave some reviews of how the story seems to you so far.

Kuki woke up due to the sound of his cell phone notification. It had rang several times and she had no choice but to get up and look for it; at night she had to remember to leave it on the table next to the bed and not in her purse. She hit the start button and the clock showed it was 7:20 a.m in the morning. Being at home, she would probably get up after 9:00 a.m but she did not feel very comfortable even sleeping at someone else's house, at Wally's house, the tree house was an exception, just last night she couldn't believe that she was really staying at the house of the blond boy who made her feel angry and alive, all at the same time.

She checked her cell phone messages and answered her mother's first, the time difference with Japan was huge but it seems that her mother couldn't remember it. One message was from Hoagie agreeing on the time they would meet at the box office to buy the tickets. She looked inside her suitcase and she took out the clothes that she would wear during the day that would serve her to go to the movies in the afternoon and that she would match with her long-sleeved sweater that would help mitigate the cold of the movie theater. She entered the small bathroom in her room, turned on the heater in her shower and let the water run through her body, waking her completely. She washed her hair and put on a conditioner. She for a moment, felt like she was back in her house, in her morning routines, but a noise from outside pulled her out of her thoughts, probably Joey or Wally had already woken up.

He took the towel, dried his body and his hair as much as possible and dressed in a hurry. She left the bathroom and took his cell phone to check the time. It was almost 8:00 in the morning and she thought it would be a good time to go down to prepare some breakfast. When she heard the sound of a knock on her door she rushed to open it and found Wally's mom.

"Good morning dear'' she greeted her with a smile.

"Good morning Mrs. Beetles, I was just coming down" she smiled back.

"I'm glad that you are one of those girls who get up early, I'm going to work, I have to drop Joey at the kindergarten, I'm going to be a little late and my husband doesn't come home until late at night, I wanted to tell you that you can prepare what you like it for breakfast and I already leave a lasagna in the fridge that you can heat in the microwave" explained the lady.

"Thank you very much Mrs. Beetles, for the hospitality and for everything. Do you know if Wally is still asleep?" she asked.

"He usually gets up later but he went to tell me that you two will go out today with your friends, have fun and cheer him up a little Kuki, he has been in a bad mood lately, well I must go" she said goodbye.

The girl went downstairs with Mrs. Beetles and said goodbye at the door, little Joey also said goodbye to her, Kuki can't help but feel tender when he sees Wally's younger brother, he is so similar to his friend when they met as children. The only difference would be that Joey's face is less round and his front teeths are more prominent.

She headed into the kitchen and found Wally sitting at the breakfast nook eating cereal while he watched TV that could be seen from the living room. He still had his pajamas on and was just concentrating on his business. Kuki then noticed the cereal that was from the rainbow monkeys.

"I see you're still eating that cereal, aren't you supposed to hate it?" Kuki asked, taking a plate from the cupboard to join him in the breakfast room.

"It doesn't taste so bad and Joey likes it too," he replied disinterestedly.

"What are we going to do today?" Kuki asks, pouring himself some cereal on his plate.

"Can't you see I'm busy? They are playing the broadcast of last night's wrestling"

"Are you going to stay all day watching fights in your pajamas?"

"Why would not? I'm at my house in case you don't remember, I can do whatever I want" he got up from the breakfast room and went to finish his cereal in the living room, took the remote control of the television and turned up the volume to end the conversation.

Kuki finished his breakfast in silence and then he felt bad about what happened. At that moment she felt like a nuisance, she had to put himself in Wally's place, and think about things from another perspective. How would she feel if things were the other way around? Wally staying at his house, practically a girl's place, her sister teasing and she trying to include him in her girl activities that he sure doesn't like. Perhaps he was not very happy to have her there, after all it was like invading her privacy, she did not even know that he watched the broadcasts of wrestling, did he really like them so much? Sometimes felt that she knew Wally perfectly but every week she always discovers something new even though they knew each other since they were children.

Kuki didn't want to bother anymore so she went outside for a walk to get some fresh air and think things better. At that moment she realized how much she missed Mushi, her sister always made her laugh and they told each other her secrets .

She came home an hour later and didn't see Wally anywhere, at that very moment a message came to his cell phone.

"I went to the gym, I come back after lunch"

"Are there cameras here? How do you know I'm home?" She spoke to herself when she saw Wally's message, she got a certain paranoia and looked around the corners looking for a hidden camera but found nothing.

She hung out in the living room watching cartoons until she got hungry and she heated a piece of the lasagna from the fridge, she ate enough to fill herself, she wanted to make room for the snacks and treats from the movies later. Around two in the afternoon Wally appeared and proceeded to eat some lasagna too, it was strange for him to see Kuki at his house, it's not like he really has complaints, the girl is pretty, nice, just sometimes she was maddening him, but he liked her, more than he had a hard time admitting.

When it was time to go to the movies, Wally was waiting for her in the hall of her house.

"Kuki, if you don't come down right now I'll call Hoagie and tell him I'm not going," he yelled as grabbed his signature orange coat from her outfit.

"A girl needs more time to get ready," says Kuki going down the stairs.

Kuki approached Wally to leave the house and Wally noticed that her face was brighter than normal, she had put makeup on and saw small sparkles on her eyelids. The eye contact lasted longer than normal and the girl couldn't help but blush.

"Do I have something on my face or something?" Kuki asks.

"You're shining," Wally answered.

"Are you talking about my makeup? I thought it wouldn't be noticed" she lowered her pained gaze, she felt embarrassed by how the boy was looking at her.

"I always notice it" there was an awkward silence until he spoke again "Well, let's go or we will be late for the movie" he opened the door and let Kuki go in first and then locked the door.

When they got to the cinema, they saw Hoagie and Alice holding hands in a conversation. Until that moment Wally hadn't thought about it too much but it was when he saw them together that he realized that if Hoagie was with his girlfriend and he was with Kuki, it all looked like a date.

"I'm really going to kill him," he thought.

"Finally, I thought you weren't coming," Hoagie commented in his sarcastic tone.

"I didn't want to," Wally whispered.

"What did you say, Wally?" Kuki asked, putting her hands on his waist, frowning.

"Nothing" he replied "We better buy the tickets"

"Don't worry about that, Alice already bought them before I arrived"

Alice walked up to Wally and handed him and Kuki's tickets and then addressed the girl.

"Good to see you, Kuki. Could you walk me to the bathroom before we go in? Let the boys take care of her snacks" she took her by the arm and practically pulled her into the girls' bathroom.

"Wally, the special combo," Kuki yelled at him as he walked in a hurry.

"I know," Wally replied as he looked at the tickets and then looked at Hoagie's "Wait a minute, Are we in separate seats?" he got angry "I knew you would do it again, always insisting on that"

"Hey, hey, calm down, this time it was not me, Alice bought them before I arrive" he excused himself waving his hands "In addition, I'm sure she did it so that we are alone and you know, that…"

"If you wanted to make out with your girlfriend, you wouldn't have invited me in the first place. Kuki doesn't like these movies, I'm sure she will just complain about how boring it is" he crossed his arms.

"Don't be a spoilsport and let's buy the food before the girls come back" said Hoagie pulling his friend into the line to buy the snacks, there weren't many people so it didn't take long.

Alice practically dragged Kuki into the bathroom and when they entered it was empty.

"I'm sorry for dragging you but I didn't want to come to the bathroom alone. I also wanted to talk to you about something" Alice spoke to the black-haired girl.

"If it was so urgent, you could have come alone" she crossed her arms.

"Don't be like that Kuki" she took a lip gloss from her bag and I applied it to her "I don't want you to get mad at me because I really like you but, I bought the movie tickets in separate seats"

"What do you mean by 'separated?" Kuki asked her, trying to understand what was happening.

"We are in the same row but Hoagie and I will sit at one end and you and Wally at the other" she explained "I wanted some privacy with my boyfriend, we have only gone to the movies once and I well …"

"Why do you think that would bother me? I can understand." She smiled at her to convey that there was no problem.

"Oh Kuki" took her by the hands "I am so happy that you and your boyfriend have agreed to this double date, after the cinema we can talk and have a good time together and get to know each other better, I think it is the first time that the best friend of Hoagie agrees to hang out with us." She was excited.

"Boyfriend? Oh no, Wally and I are not dating" she commented blushing "We are friends, nothing more."

"And why did they come together?" asked the girl raising an eyebrow making Kuki blush even more "You know, if I were you I would take this opportunity, Wally is a handsome guy"

"Do you believe it?"

"Of course" she looked at himself in the mirror and straightened his long brown hair back making some nice natural waves "Well come on, let's not keep our dates waiting"

When Alice and Kuki came to look for the boys, they had already bought the snacks. They both had a tray with the special combo that included a bit of everything on the menu; popcorn, drinks, nachos with extra cheese, some small chili dogs and sweets.

"Everything looks delicious" Kuki commented, taking her and Wally's drinks to help him with the weight of the tray. Alice did the same with Hoagie.

They entered the movie theater, the lights were still on and they could be accommodated without problem. Hoagie and Alice looked very animated while Wally remained in total silence, mentally cursing the couple for putting him through this situation.

"I don't understand what the joke is of making me come to the movies with them if we won't all sit down together." he took a sip of his drink.

"You know, we haven't both come to the movies for a long time," Kuki commented, stealing some popcorn.

"The last time we came, you brought your sister" he commented, remembering a children's movie that her friend's sister had chosen, the best of all was the end, when it was over.

"But it was fun, what candy did you buy?" She asked him to change the subject.

"Your favorite" she showed him the bar of white chocolate with cookies. Kuki smiled a lot at that moment, she was happy that he would remember that detail.

The lights dimmed and the credits began. Wally was perusing the trailers in case something good would be released soon although if that was the case, he would have to take Kuki back to the movies. Not that he bothered her at all, just that he was very proud. They both ate all the snacks in silence and in the middle of the movie there were only half-drunk drinks and Kuki's chocolate, which she ate slowly piece by piece.

"Can you give me some?" Wally asks in a whisper only audible to her.

Kuki had a piece of the chocolate bar in his hand and without thinking she brought it to the boy's lips for him to take. The boy was surprised by the act that he would consider as "something that only couples do" but, he did not want to claim something like that from the girl in the middle of the cinema, so after thinking about it for a few seconds he opened his mouth and Kuki inserted the bar the chocolate, they looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds even though it was dark and then they looked in front of the screen. The darkness served to hide the flushed cheeks of both teenagers.

He also did not protest when Kuki approached him and grabbed his arm and stayed in that position near him with the excuse that she was cold, and even if it was not true, he wanted to be near the blonde just to check that his heart did accelerate with the closeness.

When the movie ended, Hoagie invited both boys to have a smoothie at the cafeteria they always frequented. Wally began to loosen up and follow the conversation that Alice had where she included everyone, his friend's girlfriend was nice, it's just that he was angry with Hoagie for how things turned out, but he didn't talk about it, nobody spoke of that, at least not for now, everything would take its course when Abby and Nigel returned.

As for Kuki, she hadn't felt this happy all summer until that day. The girl really missed being with his friends, being with Wally without arguing for five minutes, she really liked him, more than she liked to admit it, but when she thought too much about it he ended up imagining that they would fight and end their friendship because of a misunderstanding and that is something that she didn't want to, and neither did he.
