"I'm not too keen on the idea of being bossed around, especially by that Prissy Princess," Melinda declared, "She makes me want to hex someone"

"Ditto," Christina nodded.

The three stood, contemplating the poster for a few minutes as yet another late Tourney player rushed by, trailed by his redheaded girlfriend who noticed them eyeing the glittery poster.

"Hi," she smiled, "My name's Daphne, are you thinking about trying out?"

"Maybe," Clawdeen said dismissively.

"I think you should"

"I dunno," Christina waved it off.

"No, you really should because you're all really pretty, and it would be a fun way to make more friends"

"Eh," Melinda inwardly cringed at the concept of prissy princess friends.

Googie can be high-strung and a tough captain, but just ignore her attitude and just listen to her advice. That's what the rest of us do" Daphne smiled, "I hope to see you out there" she hurried after her boyfriend.

"Shall we girls?" Christina relished the idea of frustrating Googie.

"We shall"

…...

"What are you three doing here?" Googie huffed, stomping over to the trio of darkly dressed isle girls, "This space is for cheerleaders! Now, shoo!"

"Oh, we thought cheer tryouts were today?" Christina questioned 'sweetly', "Or did we misread the poster?"

"Tryouts are today," Googie admitted.

"Aren't they open to the entire school?"

"Yes"

"So that means we get to participate"

"Fine," Googie chucked random uniforms at their heads, "Go change"

…...

Meanwhile, back on the isle of the lost. A vengeful pirate was hard at work, gathering a crew. Uma, daughter of Ursala was beyond angry. She'd been abandoned on this floating garbage dump while five hand-picked kids got to live it up in Auradon. She gave everyone the same speech. They'd been abandoned, left behind while Christina and company turned their back on the isle, on their families. There were some who were eager to join, like the scummy Drew who'd been tirelessly pursuing Christina for five years, or the cunning Jay who felt cheated out of a spot.

Others adamantly refused like Christina's cousins, Draculaura and, Sibella.

"Christina didn't abandon us," said Draculaura.

"I'm happy for her," added Sibella.

Scoffing, Uma continued her mission.

The Isle of the Lost was much larger than most people realized; dominated by the Forbidden Mountains to the south, and Bald Mountain to the north. Most of the island inhabitants were wise enough not to disturb Maleficent at her castle in the Forbidden Mountains, but ALL were too terrified to even approach Bald Mountain; home of the earth-bound demon-lord Chernobog. On the entire Isle, only the Dragon Lord Belloc was powerful enough keep him in check. But it was Chernobog's pure evil and raw cruelty that keep others away. Until today.

A nearly human-sized bat was flying up and about Bald Mountain; not seeking the Lord and Master of the mountain, but the only other being that dwelled there without fear. Seeing his target lounging on a black boulder, the bat seemed to grin wickedly and swooped down. The vampire returned to his true form and landed on his feet. "Hello, Amora."

"Drew~", she replied saucily, standing up. The black leather & lace halter top she wore barely contained her considerable assets and the matching mini-skirt ended above mid-thigh and her high-heeled boots just a few inches below her skirt. Fingerless gloves adorned her taloned hands. All contrasted sharply with her medium-blue skin, but matched her long black hair, through which a pair of grey ram-like horns curled the bat-wings on her back, and the long spade-tipped tail growing from the base of her spine. Her blood-red lips matched her demonic red-within-black eyes. Her grin exposed her upper and lower double fangs. "What brings you here, risking my father's fury?"

"Have you heard about recent events?"

Why would I bother?", the succubus huffed. "Nothing interesting happens on this stupid island."

"Well then THIS just might interest you", Drew smirked. "My princess and a few of her friends have left the island. They're in Auradon, getting 'a chance at a better life' by order of the Prince."

"So? What is that to me?"

"Your precious 'Prince' is one of them."

"WHAT?!" Amora screamed. "MY DUNCAN IS GONE?! How DARE my intended husband leave me! I'LL...!"

"Calm down, my sister-in-rage", Drew tutted. "That's why I'm here. There's a lot of us that are angry about this; being left behind to rot here on the Isle. Uma's gathering us together to do something about it. Are you in?"

"Uma? Daughter of Ursala the Sea Witch?", Amora clarified with an arched eyebrow. "Let me guess: Hadrian Hook was one of the others who left the Isle?"

"You got it", Drew smirked. "Along with Christina, Melinda, Duncan, and Clawdeen."

"CLAWDEEN?!", Amora snarled. "That mangy wolf who thinks she can take my Duncan from me?! You bet I'm in!"

"Cool", Drew said turning away so he could transform. "Tomorrow afternoon, down on Pirates' Wharf in Ursala's Seafood Cafe."

"I'll be there", Amora called as the vampire flew away. Then she felt a familiar evil presence behind her. "You were right, Daddy."

"Of course", rumbled a dark voice from a giant pair of fiery eyes shining in the shadows seemed to chuckle. "And you played your part perfectly, my dear."

"*pfft!* Wasn't too hard. I DO want my Duncan back, after all!"

…...

"Clawdeen, how fast can you alter clothing?" Christina called, "This dress needs some serious help"

"Ditto," Melinda wheezed, "I feel crammed"

"Give, em here"

The girls were all-too-happy to toss Clawdeen their dresses.

…...

When the trio returned to the field, Googie put them in the back of the line-up. What can only be described as agony followed.

Googie was determined to bully Christina.

"Do you have two left feet?" she asked, near the start, "Do it again"

"Bottom of the pyramid, Christina,"

"Taller, stand taller!"

Christina's nerves were frayed.

That's when it came time for the basket.

"Get in, Christina"

Christina begrudgingly obeyed, stepping between Googie and one other cheerleader.

Christina was airborne before she could ask what was going on.

One second she saw the sky the next, her leg was pinned under her, pain shooting down it.

"You were supposed to flip!" Googie huffed.

"Has it ever occurred to you that we don't have cheer squads on the isle?"

slowly, Christina sat up, flying over to the bench. Her leg would heal in time for revenge.. well-deserved revenge. Shade settled onto her lap to keep her company,

For now, Christina contented herself watching the game which Duncan had previously explained. Once a training exercise for dragon slayers it was now a sport for fun. The primary objective, dodging dragon fire while trying to score.

Admittedly it was hard to focus when the announcers' voice was booming in her ears.

"This is a nail-biter, folks. There's 47 seconds left on the clock. We're all tied up. The Sherwood falcons, two. The fighting knights, two. What a game between Auradon's fiercest rivals"

fiercest rivals?

I just don't get sports, Christina mused. Still, she watched. It was hard not to when Shaggy kept grinning at her.

Turning her attention from the field to the bench she noticed duncan looked ready to jump in while Hadrian was less than ready at the prospect of being on the field with boys built like mountains. Nonetheless, the two were brought in much to the obvious chagrin of Red Herring.

"When they break from their huddles, this is gonna be a big moment here. And the tipoff is ready. Here we go. Long pass goes to Duncan. Duncan dishes off to prince Shaggy. Nice little block by Hadrian. He does a little dancing jig in his opponent's face. And now Duncan gets the ball back.

Here comes Duncan! Duncan, hurdling maneuver at mid-field."

"Do you understand, what's going on?" Christina asked the raven on her lap.

Shade looked at her as if to say No idea.

"Duncan makes a nice pass to Prince Shaggy through the kill zone. Big block by Red! Prince Shaggy moves over wide, gives it back to Duncan. He's in the clear! Shot!

Oh, what a save by Philip the Faalcons' goalkeeper!"

At this point, Christina's leg was feeling much better. Catching the eyes of her friends, left to endure the torture by drill sergeant Googie she gave a slight nod.

"23 seconds left. You could cut the tension with a sword. The long ball is played into Duncan. Duncan, great jump, great leap. And a great move by Duncan. Big block from Red. Duncan dishes off to Prince Shaggy. And then Hadrian with a big block, goes down. Duncan through the kill zone, picks up Hadrian. Oh, he's being hammered by dragon fire. Still, going on. Duncan, hurdling maneuver at mid-field. He's in the clear. The ball goes back to Duncan. "

He passes to prince Shaggy. He scores! Prince Shaggy has won it! What an unselfish play by Duncan! What a team! Incredible! And it's the new guys, Duncan and Hadrian, who set up the prince for the win here. What a victory! An absolutely wonderful end to one of the best games ever. Here they come, folks. The winners of the first tourn.-

The microphone was pulled from the announcer's hands by a smirking Christina,

"I'm so sorry to interrupt," she laughed, "But I have something to say, first, congrats boys that was one tough game and now, a message for the team captain"

"What is she doing?" Googie hissed, angrily, "Why would she have a message for my boyfriend?"

Christina smiled wickedly at Googie before she cried "Let's go, Girls!"

Clawdeen and Melinda appeared on either side of her as the music started.

Hey, hey, you, you, I don't like your girlfriend (That's right)

No way, no way, I think you need a new one

Hey, hey, you, you, I could be your girlfriend

Hey, hey, you, you, I know that you like me

No way, no way, you know it's not a secret

Hey, hey, you, you, I want to be your girlfriend

Googie was angry now. Christina, whose leg had broken, was now healed and dancing as if this were planned. Worse yet, the other two served as backup, complete with costume changes.

You're so fine, I want you mine, you're so delicious

I think about you all the time, you're so addictive

Don't you know what I can do to make you feel alright?

(Alright, alright, alright, alright)

Don't pretend, I think you know I'm dang precious

And hex yeah, I'm a princess

I can tell you like me too and you know I'm right

Googie looked to where Shaggy stood. She'd expected him to be angry but no, he stood beside his teammates with a love-struck grin, enjoying the show. Watching Christina dance about in a newly purple cheer dress.

(I'm right, I'm right, I'm right, I'm right)

That's when Christina started taking shots at her.

She's like so whatever

You could do so much better

I think we should get together now

And that's what everyone's talking about

IT DIDN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN HER! Googie tried desperately to get someone, anyone to shut down the spectacle but it seemed everyone, even the other cheerleaders were caught up in it.

Hey, hey, you, you, I don't like your girlfriend

No way, no way, I think you need a new one

Hey, hey, you, you, I could be your girlfriend

Hey, hey, you, you, I know that you like me

No way, no way, you know it's not a secret

Hey, hey, you, you, I want to be your girlfriend

All the while, Christina progressively danced her way closer to Shaggy.

It was madness.

I can see the way, I see the way you look at me

And even when you look away, I know you think of me

I know you talk about me all the time again and again

closer and closer and closer. Googie could've exploded. Having had enough she began to storm over to where the two were.

(Again, again, again)

So come over here and tell me what I wanna hear

(So come over here)

Better yet, make your girlfriend disappear

I don't wanna hear you say her name ever again

(And again, and again, and again)

Googie found herself frozen midstride, unable to move another inch.

'Cause she's like so whatever

And you could do so much better

I think we should get together now

And that's what everyone's talking about

Back to the center-field they went. Shaggy following with a smile.

In a second, you'll be wrapped around my finger

'Cause I can, 'cause I can do it better

There's no other, so when's it gonna sink in?

She's so stupid, what the heck were you thinking?

In a second, you'll be wrapped around my finger

'Cause I can, 'cause I can do it better

There's no other, so when's it gonna sink in?

She's so stupid, what the heck were you thinking?

IT WAS MADNESS.

Now, everyone was dancing, clapping, singing. Acting like they had come to a concert and not a tourney game.

Hey, hey, you, you, I don't like your girlfriend (Hey, no way, no way)

No way, no way, I think you need a new one (Hey, no way, no way)

Hey, hey!

"Will you be my date for the coronation?" Christina asked Shaggy.

"You bet"

Googie fainted.

...

We now have a clear path to the wand. I'll be going to the coronation with Shaggy, can you believe it? that means I'll be the one in front ready to grab the wand.

"Hi, Christina!"

Christina snapped her diary shut, afraid that someone had seen only to breathe a sigh of relief when she realized it was only Sugie and Clawdeen in front of her.

"Hey, what are you two doing?"

"I was showing Sugie some designs, what are you doing?"

"Nothing," Christina leaned casually against the tree, sliding her diary into her bag.

Shade moved from his place on her shoulder to her lap.

"You like my brother?" Sugie asked, sitting beside her.

"Yeah," Christina bluffed.

"Do you want to know a secret?"

"Tell us"

"I'm glad he's going with you and not Googie"

"Why's that?" Clawdeen inquired, "Haven't they been datin' for a while?"

"Yes, but, Googie's very high strung and I don't like her very much, she always interrupts Shaggy, never lets him finish a thought and she completely ignores me entirely"

"That's rude," Clawdeen growled.

"And not surprising," added Christina.

"I saw what she was doing to you earlier, how mean she was being to you, it wasn't fair"

"Dang right"

"Daphne would be a much better cheer captain," Sugie continued, "She's always nice. She tried to catch you, Christina but someone pushed her out of the way"

"Bet I know who it was," Clawdeen muttered.

"Hey, Clawdeen, where are the boys?"

"Victory pizza"

"Ah"

"Where's Melinda?"

"Lurking, as usual"

"Doesn't she have a test tomorrow?"

"Yes, but you know, Melinda she always finds a way"

"That she does"

Short when compared to the other chapters but if I really got going I'd cram the remainder of the movie down your throat which is both not cool and not fun. So, we're ending it there while I try not to give into the latest plot bunny born out of my fondness for Holly Black novels.

If you don't know who she is let me sum it up this way:

Disney recruited her to write the Maleficent novel that transitions between movies.

This woman knows how to write faires.

Now as for the song swap my good friend, DRAGONDAVE45 suggested it and I just couldn't say no. He also wrote DRew's meeting with Amora. In short, he's full of good ideas. Do yourselves a favor and go read his work.

GO DO IT.

Also, please review.
