Chapter 40
"What do you mean she left?!" Keith snaps clearly angry about what Coran had told them. All the paladins and Allura were now on the bridge. "Like I said she left."
"Why? Why would she leave after being here so long?" Allura akeed clearly upset about the lost of the young girl. "Do you know where she went?" Shiro asked. "Sadly no, I talked to her she didn't tell me."
"So, what now?" Pidge asked looking from one paladin to the next. "I would say we go after her, but if we don't know where she went, we might run into problems." Shiro said.
"How, just the two of us. I'm sure we can find her and bring her back." Keith spoke up. "I am with Keith." Lance joined. "No, if we run into trouble we need Voltron. Allura can you try contacting the pod she took, maybe we can find out why she left." Shiro offered.
"It's worth a shot." The Princess walked to her controls. "Coran." She said he turned to the panel. "On it Princess." He said.

The Alten ship weaved as laser fired at it. "Why is it that we can provoke them but never evade them?" she pulled the ship down in nose drive missing more of the smaller ships. A crash above made her smirk. Coran was right, there were a lot of bloody Galra.
"Whoa." She ranked the sticks back and shut up before wearing more. "Okay, so asking Keith for flying wasn't a bad idea after all." Kiara pulled back as she watched two more ship collide together.
Kiara looked as if five more flew at her shooting. Putting the ship into a nosedive she dove down. She weaved as the purple lasers were fired at the ship. Kiara looked to see a planet coming into view. She shifted the controls forwards and the ship into the atmosphere. Gritting her teeth as the ship flew down.
Just as the ship broke through, Kiara pulled it to a level as she sighed in relief. Only have the shooting start back up. "Great Galaxy! Do they ever just stop?" She asked and then took off again. The five Galra ships followed after her she weaved and dodge the lasers. Looking below and grinned. Then put the ship in reverse she turned it and drove for the trees. "Pilot skills don't fail me now." Kiara begged as the forest grew closer.

"Now, where are you two off to?" Shiro asked the two Paladins as they entered the bridge. "Look, you don't have to go, but Kiara's our friend." Keith said. Shiro crossed his arms. "I said we wait until Allura can contact the pod. Until then be patient." He said. "But.. what if she needs our help?" Lance asked. Shiro looked between the two Paladins. "She's proven to be capable of handling herself."

"Okay, Maybe work on landing next time." Kiara grumbled to herself as she came to stare up at the dark brown rocky ceiling.
As she sat up, her hand held her forehead and she let out a groan. "Oh, your wake!" A voice spoke up doorway.
Turning her eyes widen as a Young Galra walked in she had dark purple skin bright gold eyes and neck long blue and black hair.
Her body tensed. "It's okay, Ura means no harm." Her companion said holding his four arms up. Kiara looked between the two of them.
The eight foot tall four arm rock/man. He had dark gray skin With Leopard black tiny spots and oval black eyes with white rings.
"How did I get here?" Kiara asked, looking around the cave like a house. The man walked to the makeshift stove. "Me and Kylo found you passed out about a mile from here." Ura said, giving wary eyes.
Kiara shook her head. The throbbing pulsed a bit. "What were you doing out there? You're lucky we found you before the Galra or the other Sandrians." Kylo said pour something into a caved bowl.
"I was looking for something...ugh.. my head aches." She complained, holding her head in her left hand. "Here drink this, and lay back down." Kylo said handing her the bowl. Reaching out she took it. "Thank you." Kiara said before putting it to her lips.
A bitter taste touched her tongue. Pulling back. "It's bitter." She said earning a laugh from Ura. "I said the same thing. But it should help." Kiara glanced over at her. "You're not like the others here are you?" Kiara set the bowl down and looked at Ura with a bit of curiosity.
Ura rubbed her arm. "No... I'm against what Zarkon is doing." Ura was confused about this. "You're not going to tell the other Galra?" Kiara was stunned.
"Why would I do that?" Ura asked astonished. "You're not Galra then?" Kiara shook her head. "I uh..." Kiara was lost for words. Kylo stirred the rocky pot. "If you don't want to tell us.. we won't hold it to ya." He said glancing at Kiara.
"Thanks.." She said to the strange duo. "Now finish that broth and rest we can talk more tomorrow." Ura said to her.

Kiara laid back on the bed. Whatever was in the bitter broth was working. She watched as Ura waved Kylo goodbye.
'A Galra who is against the empire?' Kiara yawn rolling back around. Staring at the wall. Maybe she could trust her.
Ura wasn't sure what to think of this girl. She was strange and if it wasn't for skin color she thought she was human.
