We arrived at Sam's place twenty five minutes later.

From the cars parked carelessly around the yard, from where I stood I could tell that almost all of our families and friends were already here.

Bucky hopped out of the driver's seat, and quickly went to open the back seat to unbuckle Becca and Jamie, before setting them on their feet with a raspberry to their cheeks causing them to giggle and attempt to smack him away.

"Stay close to us, would ya munchkins?" Bucky whispered as he stood upright.

I saw Becca and Jamie nodded, reaching up to take his gloved hands into their chubby little hands as I slowly slid out of the truck, and reached for my bag.

Groaning as I lugged it onto my shoulder, before slowly straightening up and closing the door of the truck.

"Would you like me to carry that, milaya?" I heard Bucky ask as I made it to their side.

I sigh, badly wanting to throw it at him but settled for shaking my head from side to side. "No, it's fine. I can carry it." I softly replied.

Sam was waiting for us as we slowly climbed up the porch stairs, with a smile on his face.

"Well, if it isn't my favorite little family. The Barnes' are finally here, the party can finally start!" He called, turning back.

I rolled my eyes, reaching up to thump the back of his head only for Bucky to stop me, with a headshake, and for him to do it himself.

"Hey! Watch the 'do', man!" Sam complained, reaching up to rub the back of his head.

"Well, shut your mouth up, Wilson." Bucky said, as the twins pullled away from his grasp, and rushed past him inside excitedly.

I watched after them for a moment before turning to look at Sam.

"Is Tony here with Pep and Morgan?" I asked Sam.

He nodded, smirking at us.

"I see why they rushed in now." I whispered as I walked in after them.

"Yeah, no kidding." He said amused.

"So, are Sara, Aj, and Cass?" I asked, noticing their absence.

"Oh, uh, they went upstate to visit her in laws, but they'll be here for Christmas." He promised as he led us through the hallway into a large dining room where everyone was already sitting down.

"Well, if it isn't my lovable little sister." Charlie commented dryly as little Bella sat next to him swinging her feet back and forth.

"Charles, how's Sharon?" I asked, smirking at his discomfort.

"Last I heard she's good…" he mumbled.

"That's not what I heard." I mumbled as Bucky snorted, shaking his head in response before silently asking me if I was going to take off my sweater.

I nodded, sighing, slowly reaching up to undo my coat and shrugging it off.

"What is that?" Tony asked as my brothers both shot out of their seats, as he pointed towards my protruding stomach.

"A baby." Bucky commented dryly as he helped me sit down.

I laughed, letting out a small laugh, causing my stomach to harden slightly.

"Oh my god! Why didn't you tell us?" Nat asked as she rushed over to hug me excitedly.

"Well, because Bucky and I wanted him to have the whole pregnancy experience, since he wasn't around when I was pregnant with the twins." I explained with a shrug as Sam handed me some water.

"Wait a second, you already know?" Clint asked, turning towards Sam.

"Of course, I know. How else were they going to find a doctor and all that… They do live a few miles away from here..." Sam said, biting his lip as he realized he had said too much. "Oh uh, ignore that." He muttered.

Bucky gave him a look of plain exasperation, before sighing. "Arie and I decided to stay and live here." He finally said.

"Here? Why here?" Clint asked, frowning.

"Because it's one of the last places our parents brought us to, and I want them to grow up where we were the happiest." I explained.

"And… you two just decided this on a whim?" Tony asked, disbelieving.

"What other reason could they have?" Steve asked with an eye roll.

I bit back a timid smile as I rubbed my stomach.

"Yeah...Well, we decided that it would be in the best interest of our kids and us, that we retire… immediately." Bucky finally said.

The room tensed suddenly, as Becca tapped on Clint's leg, and silently asked for him to pick her up.

'What's retire mean, Unca Clint?' I heard her ask him mentally.

"It's when someone stops working in a certain job, princess." He replied with a gentle smile as she kicked her feet back and forth in the air shyly.

"Wait… Are you two sure you want to do that? I— I mean, what if what if we need you in the future?" Tony asked, looking down at my stomach in concern.

I tensed, frowning down at the ground before licking my lips.

"Look, I don't want to retire." I replied honestly.

Bucky turned to look at me, concerned.

"But both of us being in this line of work, risking our lives each day, puts our kids at risk of growing without us. I don't want them to grow up without either of us… Nothing is worth putting my kids at risk. I won't do it. I lived with the pain of thinking Bucky was gone, I won't do it again." I replied.

Steve nodded, reaching out to touch my arm. "You shouldn't have to pick between choosing the safety of your family or saving the world… and you don't need to. We can deal with whatever happens in the future and we will." Steve said, looking at everyone in the room.

I felt a smile pull at my face as I gasped at the sudden jolt I felt in my stomach.

"What? What happened?" Bucky asked, shooting up from his seat and rushing to my side.

"Relax, it's the baby — it just kicked me…" I sighed.

Tony, Nat and Steve shared a look with Clint.

"Have you been getting a lot of contractions today?" Clint asked me, with a frown.

"No, just a few jolts here and there. Maybe a few back spasms. Nothing like Becca and Jamie." I replied calmly.

Bucky frowned, "Contract— contractions? You've been in labor and didn't tell me?" He asked.

I sighed, biting my lip as I felt another jolt. "Relax, lyubimyy. They're just Braxton Hicks contractions. Those are normal at this point of the pregnancy." I promised, patting his arm. (darling)

"Arie…" He sighed.

"I swear, they're only Braxton Hicks, they come and go. And I mainly feel them on my lower back. They don't even hurt that much." I explained.

He sighed and turned to look at Steve, Tony, and Clint.

"She's telling the truth. Though I don't remember her having them around this time." Tony replied, eyeing me.

"She started having them after she reached twenty eight weeks. How far along are you?" Pepper asked, eyeing me.

"A few days short of reaching thirty weeks." I said, sighing and shaking my head.

"Start timing them." Tony said, looking at Bucky, as he eyed his watch.

"Look, it's okay. Everyone can calm down they're just Braxton Hicks contractions." I replied with an eye roll.

"Did she have them like this?" Bucky asked, ignoring me, as I rolled my eyes at them.

Wanda gave me a sad smile before handing me a plate of food. "Don't stress yourself. Let them worry about whatever they want, and you feed your baby." She said, smiling at me.

My eyes lit up as I took the plate of food and happily dug in. "Thank you, Wanda." I said smiling.

"No problem, hon. Do you want a Sprite or Squirt, Coke, grape Fanta, I think orange Fanta too?" She asked me.

"Do they have strawberry flavored Fanta?" I asked, biting my lip.

"I think they do. Let me get that for you." She said as she disappeared into the kitchen.

I watched her disappear before looking down at my food. I smiled as I realized she had put a few slices of ham and turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, along with some macaroni salad that looked mouthwatering. I licked my lips smiling as I continued to eat as everyone turned a nervous eye on me.

"Staring like that at me is only making me uncomfortable, it won't make me go into labor faster." I said after swallowing a mouthful of macaroni salad.

"Angel, are you sure don't you need anything else?" Bucky asked me, calmly.

I took a biteful of food, chewing enthusiastically before shaking my head at him.

"Nope. I'm all good here." I replied as Wanda handed me the soda I had asked for.

I could feel everyone's tension as I continued eating, pretending nothing was wrong.

As I finished eating, I frowned, before reaching over to place the plate on the table with a shaky hand.

"Why is everyone staring at me like I could pop any second?" I asked, frowning as I began rubbing my stomach as the baby began kicking me again.

"Well, because they're all scared you're going to go into labor… and because they think you're going to do it here ..." Nat replied amused.

I sighed, shaking my head in response as a particularly sharp pain hit me in the lower abdomen then began in my back. Right before I felt a gush of fluid go down my legs, causing me to gasp.

"J-James…" I slowly said.

"Yes, milaya?" He asked.

I winced, trying not to squirm in my seat, "I — I think I may need to go to the hospital after all…" I calmly said.

"Why is that?" He asked, eyeing me with a raised brow as Sam commented on something, causing him to chuckle.

"Because I think the baby is coming." I replied, wincing.

He and everyone else sharply turned towards me, "A-Are you sure?" He asked, sliding off his chair and quickly moving to my side.

"If my water breaking is anything to go by then yes… I am sure." I replied, dryly.

"Are— are you in pain, sis?" Clint asked.

"Surprisingly, no. I'm just a bit un—*groan*— uncomfortable." I replied honestly.

Bucky stood up and disappeared in the direction the kids had gone a few minutes ago.

"He does know that the twins can't go with you to the hospital, right?" Tony asked amused.

I sighed, shaking my head, staring at the direction Bucky had just gone before looking over back at them.

"Somebody better go explain that to him." I grimaced as I felt a contraction hit.

Steve sighed before getting up and walking in the same direction.

"How about we get you to the car?" Clint suggested, with a small smile.

"But Bucky has the keys." I replied, wincing again.

"Not the truck, that's too high for you to climb into in your state… I mean you could end up having the kid if you try to climb into that thing. I meant the SUV I rented…" He replied, as he helped me stand.

That's when I noticed who was missing, "Where's Laura and the kids?" I asked, frowning.

"Laura is… working, and the kids are with her parents in Florida." He explained.

"Awesome." I groaned.

"... And the sarcasm has begun. Yeah, we need to get going before that kid makes its entrance into the world in this room with everyone here." Clint muttered as he pulled me into his arms.

"How much you want to bet Bucky passes out when she pops the kid out?" I heard Sam ask Tony.

"I got two hundred on him not passing out but, getting faint." Tony says.

"Done. Eighty says he does pass out." Sam says.

"Oy! I heard that!" Bucky called from a few steps behind us, scowling in annoyance as Steve walked behind him with both Becca and Jamie in his arms.

"Knock it off you two." Pepper chastised, smacking Tony on the arm.

"Don't worry, Arie, we'll watch the kids for you." Nat said as she pulled Becca into her arms as Clint hurriedly made his way towards the door.

Clint snorted as he walked out of the house.

"God, I forgot how childish they are when they get together." I groaned through a contraction and I buried my face into his chest, frowning when I inhaled, it wasn't the comforting smell I needed.

"Yeah, time doesn't change that." He muttered, as he unlocked the car and he placed me into the backseat, grabbing the small pillow to help me prop myself up.

"We're waiting on Barnes, don't worry. He's coming." Clint promised as he went around and climbed into the driver's side.

Why do I have the sinking feeling that this baby is going to be born in this car?

Fuck, I hope not.

Bucky better hurry up!
