Zach POV

'That's impossible' She shook her head 'Tiffany St. James doesn't exist'

I was shocked 'What do-'

'Zach you need to move. You're right on top of the bomb. 100 pounds!' Jonas shouted down the comms. My eyes widened. Shit.

'We need to get out of here' I grabbed the girl's hand and began to pull her towards the closest exit, which unfortunately was in the opposite direction to the main exit. Could we get through the back ways? There has to be another exit.

'What's going on?' She asked, pulling to try and free herself

'We need to get out of here' I said again. Jez, can't she just be quiet for one moment.

'Hey' She pulled once more, forcing me to stop and look at her. Would it be wrong if I knocked her out? It would make this a whole lot easier.

'Tell me what's going on?' She said

'They found the bomb. 100 pounds of C4' I snapped. Maybe she'd listen to the facts 'That's why we need to get out of here' Her face dropped. I took this as her listening to me so I began to pull her again

'Did you hear that?' She said, her voice was small. She was looking around. She's probably talking to her team. 'I wasn't talking to you guys' She muttered. I froze. If she wasn't talking to them...then she was talking to...Before anyone could act further, a blast occurred. I grabbed the girl and pulled her into me, diving through the doors and covering her just as rubble began to fall.

We coughed as the dust began to settle.

'Are you hurt?' I asked her

'I'm fine' She pushed me off and stood up, dusting off her already ruined dress. She pulled out a clip from her hair, twisted it and it became a torch. Impressive

'Looks like we're trapped.' She said. The door we had just come through was blocked off. She began to shine her torch around the rest of the room. Because she had the only source of light, I had to follow her. This was some sort of side room used for storage with extra tables and chairs everywhere. Also…

'No windows...Great' Her voice was dripping with annoyance. I leant against one of the tables finding it hard to breathe.

'Look, you could say thank you' I quipped. She whirled around, blinding me with her light.

'For what?'

'Saving your life'

She lowered her light just enough that I could see her eye roll.

'Thanks for the chivalry and all, but it really isn't necessary' Her words dripped of sarcasm. She turned her attention back to the room, looking for a way out. I tried to move but felt a sharp pain in my side. I pulled back my black suit jacket to see a piece of glass sticking out of my side with a red rim of blood around it.

I glanced at Suzie, whilst she was looking the other way, I pulled out the glass, biting my lip to mute my groans. Once it was out, I ripped off my tie and created a makeshift bandage around my middle, tucking my shirt back over the top.

Once that was done I was able to move better.

'Damn it!' She shouted, pulling out something from her ear.

'Comms?' I asked

'Nothing but static. Yours?'

'Nothing' I said. I studied her carefully, her eyebrows creased causing a little line to appear in the middle of her forehead. It was kinda cute.

'So…' I began 'Since we're stuck here, why don't you tell me your name. Your real name'

'Not gonna happen' She was looking up at the ceiling. A small smile formed on her face and then she leapt into action, beginning to move furniture

'What are you doing?'

'There's a vent. We can crawl through' She began to move a table but glanced up at me 'Look, you do want to get out of here? Cause if you do, you better come and help me'

I smirked at her sass. Then moved across the room to help her.

'You're trained' I said

'So are you'

'Yes. But you're specially trained'

'So are you'

The table was moved into position. She then stood up and removed her heels.

'Do you have your knife?' She asked as casually as if she was asking if I had my phone.

'No. Last time I remember, I threw it at your head'

'Above my head' She corrected me. I raised my eyebrow, impressed with her training. If she could tell that a knife wasn't aimed at her head, only by an inch, what else can she do.

She pulled up her dress to get to her upper thigh holster & she pulled out the knife. I tried not to look, but I did, and I saw her gun.

She used the knife to slice the bottom of the dress.

'That's better' She muttered, making it easier to move.

'It's a shame about the dress. You didn't look hideous in it'

'Thanks' she said, offering me the knife. I looked at it, and then looked at her.

'You're giving me back my knife?' I asked, confused. She shrugged.

'It's not like you're going to use it'

'Are you sure?' I raised my eyebrow 'Cause the only reason you're alive right now is because you have information I need'

'So are you' She quipped. 'And besides, I don't need a knife to kill you. And you won't even come close to killing me' She began to turn away when I grabbed her wrist, flipping her upside down, pinning her down & putting the knife to her throat.

'Believe me, I could kill you if I wanted' I smirked. She tilted her head.

'Well played' She said. I loosened my grip and offered my hand to help her up. She accepted.

We moved around in comfortable silence building up a tower until we could reach the ceiling. I unscrewed the bolts using one of her hairclips.

'Ladies first' I said, readying my hands to give her a leg up.

'Really? Is it just so you can see my butt?' She narrowed her eyes. I smirked.

'You're the one with the torch. Seeing your butt is just a bonus' She glared at me, I swear my smirk widened even more. She huffed but didn't say anything. She accepted my help as I lifted her into the vents.

Cammie POV

We crawled through the vents for a good 10 minutes before eventually finding a vent exit that was above a corridor. Kicked through the grate & dropped from the ceiling, landing perfectly.

Blackthorne Boy followed suit, though his landing was not perfect. He looked worn out, a film of sweat on his forehead.

'You okay?' I asked.

'I'm fine' He said.

We moved down the corridor, trying every door we could but to no avail.

'I have a question' He asked. I sighed

'Go ahead'

'How did you know I was a Blackthorne Boy?'

'Your tattoo. I've seen it before'

'How?' He said 'I don't believe you' I shrugged.

'It's the truth' We came to a fork in the corridor. I shone my torch down both sides

'So what about you?'

'What about me?' I said, moving down the left side

'Clearly you're trained. By who? CIA? FBI? MI6?'

'None of the above' I said.

'Really?'

'Yep. I had exceptional training' I quipped. 'Now my turn'

I began to walk backwards 'Your name; Tom or Zach?'

'Can't you just call me Blackthorne Boy?' He smirked

'Nope. I think after what we've been through, I deserve a name'

'It's Zach' He said. 'And you are?'

'Cam'

'Just Cam?'

'Just-'

'-Don't move' He hissed. Gripping my forearms. I froze. 'There's a tripwire' His voice was calm. I stayed still. He tiptoed around me. I glanced down and noticed my foot was centimetres away from a thin wire.

Zach traced the wire and followed it up the wall and then further.

'Give me your torch' He said. I gave it to him. He shone the light up in the corner. There was a jar of screws, glass and other debris.

'Shrapnel bomb' I said.

'And a nasty one as well' Zach turned his attention back to me 'Looks like you haven't hit any pressure points' He offered me his hand 'We're going to back away slowly, okay?'

I nodded. Zach held my hand as we backed away very carefully. When we were a safe enough distance away, both of us exhaled.

'Thank you'

'Don't worry. Let's just find a way out of here'

We continued down the hallway trying to find another exit.

'This way' Zach said leading us down another corridor. 'This corridor leads us back to room 3A. We know there's a window there'

'You seem pretty confident with how to get around' I raised an eyebrow. Zach shrugged.

'I studied the blueprints before coming here, didn't you?' He looked at me sideways. I opened and closed my mouth.

'Amateur' He pointed at me. 'Spy' Zach pointed to himself and smirked.

I froze. A cold, cold, cold chill ran down my spine.

He noticed this 'What's wrong?'

'You just remind me of someone'

'A young Johnny Depp? Marlon Brando? Leonardo Dicaprio?'

I rolled my eyes and playfully punched him in his stomach.

Zach doubled over in a lot of pain.

'You okay?' I asked.

'Mmm, peachy. I'm just- hey!'

I began to rip off his jacket and shirt.

'If you wanted to get me naked, you could have just asked' He tried to chuckle but was in pain. I checked his chest, ignoring his defined abs, and saw the deep laceration across his side. Shrapnel.

'How?' I asked

'From the bomb blast,' He coughed. It was painful for him.

'We need to get you out of here'

'I thought that was the whole point'

I ignored his comment and helped pick him up. I slung his arm across my shoulder as we made our way to room 3a. I settled him down by the window, grabbed his jacket, tied it around my fist and punched. Nothing.

'You need more weight behind you'

'Or…' I grabbed my gun and fired a few shots.

'Jez! What the hell!'

'It's bulletproof' Not even a dent Why would someone build a building with bulletproof windows?

I slumped down on the wall next to Zach. The girls would be looking for me soon. Zach's friends were probably looking too. His eyes were closed & his breathing was shallow. He needed immediate medical care.

All I could think about was that things weren't adding up.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, focusing on my breathing and the buzzing. Buzzing? I opened my eyes.

Where was that coming from?

I looked at Zach, studying his features. Macey was right, he was a hunk, but he's also a trained killer. And a killer who's after me.

I looked closer and noticed he was wearing an earpiece. I took it out carefully and held it to my own ear. There was static.

'Goode, are you still with the target? I repeat, Goode, are you still with the target?'

I looked at Zach again. He lied. Was this all part of his plan? How did he know about the tripwire? Was this all a plan to get me alone? To get information? My blood began to boil. It'd told him my name...not all of it but part….and just a part is too much…

'Agent Goode is occupied at the moment' I replied. There was silence on the other end. 'He needs medical care. Room 3A' I then crushed the comms unit with the base of my gun. I looked at Zach. I could kill him. But I didn't.

Author's Note: Hello everyone! So Cammie and Zach now know one another's real names, but Zach still doesn't know who trained Cammie. I can't wait to show you what happens next. Here's a little sneak peek:

From my hiding spot, I watched as two men used a specialized cutter to cut open the window, come in, check Zach's pulse, assess his wound, and take him out. All within 5 minutes of me notifying them. They were most definitely Blackthorne Boys too. And they were good.

GallagherGirlsEmbassyRowFan: I miss the sun. It has been absolutely hammering it down recently and I just want it to be nice again. I know what you mean, Zach was so surprised that Cam worked out who he is. Who do you think has the upper hand right now? Zach or Cammie? Aww thank you so much! I've said this before but I think this is probably my favourite story that I've ever written. It's got so much homage to the books that it's been a nice reset for me. They just might have to work together but they'll be chasing each other for a little longer. Stay safe too xxx

MaggieMG: Thank you so much xxx

gymnast1150: You are not the worst! That's the biggest lie ever! I really do love when Zach is a little cocky and thinks he controls the situation and then BAM Cam appears in a red dress and turns his world upside down. They definitely will have moments of reflection and moments where they are just normal (or as normal as they can ever be) and just enjoying (or tolerating) each other's company. Thank you so much! What did you think of this chapter? Slightly different from the two-shot but I think it captured their characters & their relationship better. Thank you as always! I'm super excited for your story too! xxx

Jamko-Zammielover: Thank you so much! Glad you're enjoying this xxx

Guest: Thank you! xxx

Guest: Thank Yooooooooooooou! xxx

Covertoperative456: Exactly! They'll keep playing Cat and Mouse for a little bit longer until eventually, they have to work together. Zammie are matched in more than one way than one & over time, they'll figure it out. Someone is toying with them, but who? Thank you so much! I'm excited for what's to come xxx

Archer5210: Thank you so much! xxx

Boredboredbored: Aww thank you! I love it when Zach and Cammie are in full spy mode and are on opposite sides (or so it seems). That's one of the best compliments ever! I try to plan as much as possible so hearing that it has paid off means the world to me! Zammie are so matched in different ways that their fighting is complex and them either of them could win. Them dancing is always cute and just a little normal (they'll be more moments like this too coming up). Awww bless you so much! xxx

AllyCarterFan101: Zach can be characterised by three things: his smirk, his 'point-and-spy' and his dipping. Yes, they are both being led to the same thing but so far they think it's each other...yet someone is behind all of this, orchestrating from the sidelines...but who? Yes! I've heavily inspired by all the books, but this moment was defo book two. No worries! It's a rough schedule which I hope to stick too but as always plans might change. I've been doing well thus far! Fingers crossed! Stay safe xxx
