I made a Playlist on Youtube with all my drabbles' songs titled "Song Fics" for easy access to the song versions I'm taking reference from when I write these. It'll be especially helpful if I had to edit a song down, or cut something out, like I did with Wind Beneath My Wings, or like I will in the future for songs I have lined up.
All you have to do is type youtube into the search bar with .com, and then copy this URL. It'll take you straight to the playlist.

Prompt: While heading on her way home, Eerika (Fishlegs' mom), Sassa (Astrid & Aric's mom), and Astrid try cheering Hiccup up.
Setting: Dragon Eye of the Beholder Part 1-Race to the Edge
Song: You'll Play Your Part from My Little Pony: Friendship if Magic
Note: When I say "spoke", or "said", it really means "sung". I just write it like that because unless they are singing diegetically, it doesn't feel right to write "sung" when I'm writing from a character's point of view.
You'll Play Your Part:
"Thank you so much again for your help", Eerika thanked Sassa and Astrid for their help moving all the large logs that had landed before the doorway to her home. They had just finished lifting them onto a cart.
"Oh, think nothing of it. That's what friends are for, aren't they?" Sassa brushed it off.
"Those dragons and their roughhousing", Eerika added with a light chuckle and shake of her head. They were the ones who caused the small avalanche before her home in the first place.
"You know how they can be", Astrid, Sassa's daughter, and a Dragon Rider, shrugged. That was when they all noticed Astrid's friend, Hiccup. She walked down the street, Toothless at her side, with a sad frown marring her lovely face. Astrid was of course the first to see what was wrong.
"Hiccup? Hey, what's with the long face?" she approached when Hiccup got closer. Hiccup stopped, and looked to the three of them with that looked to be a lost expression.
"I… I— Ugh. I don't know…" Hiccup sighed.
(Start Song)
Eerika looked to Sassa concerned. For the past three years Hiccup had been relatively very happy. Now she looked as if she were that small girl they once saw skulking through the village three years ago.
"It isn't that I'm ungrateful…" Hiccup began, her woes spilling as they listened. She spoke of what was, of all she'd been through, of all the lessons she had learned. But now the problem was the future, or more so, the present. It seemed as if she'd done everything, and with her friends, including Astrid, moving on with their own roles in the village, Hiccup was feeling left behind. "…I don't know how to travel to a future that I can't see."
She spread her wings, her freedom gained, then gestured to her head to the crown that would sit there if she had or wore one. It seemed as if she was unsure of her role as Stoick's heir; a princess. But, more so what she was meant to do now that there was peace and no more dragons to discover. "I want to have a purpose…", she spoke almost desperately to each and every one of them. They looked to each other again, and then as Hiccup turned away from them with longing, Eerika stepped towards her.
"Your destiny's uncertain…" she placed a hand to the young woman's shoulder, and Hiccup looked up at her as she spoke, telling Hiccup how things would get better. "…with every new choice you make."
"Patience is never easy…" Sassa followed behind them, Eerika and Hiccup both turning around. Sassa was once in Hiccup's shoes, feeling worthless in her role as a warrior, until her day finally came, and at last she soared.
"But you stand here for a reason…" Astrid burst in with a sort of side hug, praising her gifts and strength. Then Astrid backed, and gestured with both hands to the invisible crown atop her friend's head. "…you belong!"
" " "Know that your time is coming soon…" " " the three women joined together, encircling Hiccup in a triangle with her in the middle between them. Their princess, and future Chief. "…You are a princess; you'll play your part", they bowed.
"We understand…" Sassa went on, pulling from her own experience. "…a chance to shine, a chance to soar."
"Soon will come the day it turns around!" Astrid spun.
" " "Know that your time is coming soon…" " " they joined again, hoping to hammer their point into her. Hiccup may have been feeling left behind, but that wouldn't last forever. Soon, she would be their leader. "…you are a princess, you'll play your part", they bowed again. Then Eerika straightened, and stepped towards Hiccup.
"...you'll play your part", she told her, both hands to Hiccup's shoulders, and Hiccup looked up to her seeming just a little more sure.
Eerika pulled away, and let the lass go. With Toothless in tow, much earlier than usual, Hiccup made her way home.
Let me know if you liked this one. It's been on the back burner for a while.
I could never figure out who to have play which part considering HTTYD doesn't have too many women on hand that would make sense for this scene. Luckily, She's in Love gave me some characters to work with. I just never realized to use them until recently.
