"Well that was a bust!" To express her annoyance Yukari solidly kicked one of the unconscious hobgoblins between his legs. There was a notable sharp intake of breath from the impact.
Tsukune involuntarily winced at the blow. As a guy he innately understood the others pain. "That was my choice, so I think someone else should pick."
Kurumu smiled confidently. "How about the cooking club? I've been told my culinary skills are positively seductive." The way to a mans heart is thru his stomach her mother always told her. Surely she would be his number one girl after that.
Yukari responded with her usual charm. "Who said that, some lunk head you charmed? I'm certain I can beat you in the kitchen!" She left unsaid she had never cooked anything outside of magical potions in her life.
Honoka lowered her head sadly. "I can't do it, my hands shake at the thought of killing something for food."
Moka hugged her Kirin friend from behind as her pink hair kissed a shoulder. "That makes sense given how fearful you act in the lunch line. I always wondered why Tsukune held your tray and filled it with raw vegetables for you." She graced the boy in question with a winning smile. Her heart fluttered a little as the love she felt for him grew a little more in that moment. "Having such a helpful childhood friend must have been great."
"Meow, I second that Miss Akashiya. Such A soft heart is very unusual at Yokai Academy Miss Odoriko." All six students jumped slightly at the older woman's interruption.
Tsukune smiled broadly at his black haired friend. "See Honoka-chan, it's like an unwritten rule of nature. I believe you owe me ten dollars." Yukari, Moka Kurumu and Miss Nekonome looked at the two old friends in confusion.
"Fine, you got me I'll remember next time." Noticing the other girls she shrugged. "He bet me that all cats are natural ninjas." The four other women all nodded in agreement.
"Dummy, I could of told you that. Take advantage of my brain sometimes Honoka. Stop hanging around Kurumu so much, alright" as the succubus nodded along the witch smiled.
Then a moment of recognition passed across her face. "Heh, what is wrong with you shrimp! Don't make me come over there with a teacher present."
Thru all this banter the blonde instructor had her eyes mostly closed. Beneath her short skirt her tail swished happily. "Hmm that physical education teacher needs to get his eyes checked. He really is a squid brain at times." She scanned the Archery club members. Clearly they were all still breathing. Then she turned to the students. "I'm sorry kids, seems you were all falsely accused of murdering a bunch of Hobgoblins. However, all ten did violate school rules. Taking monster form on the grounds is strictly forbidden. Though I suppose, they should be taken to the nurses office." She looked around with some concern.
Tsukune sighed at the unspoken question. "Yukari, could you create a washtub big enough to hold them?"
The youngest girl smiled mischievously as her eyes seemed to shine with magic. "You bet Tsukune, for a small price. Give me a long deep kiss and it's yours."
Moka and Kurumu seemed to understand each other in that moment. "Absolutely not Yukari!"
"Meow, that was really scary!" The cat ears on the older woman stood taller as she hissed slightly.
"Okay, can't blame a girl for trying." Suddenly, a massive golden washtub appeared.
"Thanks Yukari, your a real help." The little girl blushed at his gratitude. Soon the hobgoblins were loaded up and Tsukune lifted the container with minor effort. Then the small group headed to the infirmary.
"Mister Aono, I must say that is impressive. You didn't even transform. Could you be a vampire I wonder?" Then she laughed lightly. "Sorry kids, I'm not supposed to ask that question. I can't help but be curious, it's in my nature after all." She cleared her throat and tried another topic. "So did all of you join the club you wanted?" When they all said no her eyes opened for the first time since she showed up. The gleam of intelligence was unmistakable. "Really, well I mentioned this in homeroom. However, some of you aren't in my class. I'm the advisor for the newspaper club. We definitely need members if your interested."
After dropping off the unconscious students the group of first year friends headed for the newspaper club. None of them was really sure why Miss Nekonome's words convinced them so easily. Reguardless, a least they get to join a club together.
Once again with her eyes closed the teacher boldly entered an old building that needed a bit of work. The teenager's all followed.
Honoka sniffed the wood with concern. "Umm Miss Nekonome why does this place smell like burnt wood?"
Shizuka laughed nervously. Then her eyes opened with a primal appearance. "Oh don't mind that Miss Odoriko. The campus cleaning staff hasn't been here in a while is all." Her face hid those orbs once more and her usual smile returned. "Gin are you here? We have new members."
The group of first years caught sight of a table. The older student that sat there had black hair. A bunch of photos were scattered on the wooden furniture. However, before anyone could make them out they vanished like magic.
The new guy to the group stood up quickly. "Welcome everyone nice to see new blood for a change. Pardon the mess I was researching... for my next story of course." He laughed nervously for no apparent reason.
"Alright, Mister Morioka I leave them in you capable hands." Without further explanation the adult left with the clicking of her high heels.
Gin showed a broad smile as she left. "Okay rookies, let's get to know each other shall we? Then we can get right to work on our next issue. It's due by the end of the week."
