"Alright everyone let's start putting up fliers. The Newspaper Club is back and babe..I mean better than ever." Gin looked at his new recruits with joy. Top tier beauties one and all even the little girl. He tried to hide his glare at Tsukune Aono behind a fake smile. He could have done without the action blocking guy. Keeping so many hotties to himself should be some kind of crime. For now he would bide his time until he could get him falsely accused. Then he smiled for real. All those girls would only have one man to turn to after that. Such bliss would be unprecedented for him.
Tsukune was glad that the club leader seemed happy to see them. Doing a school newspaper was a lot of work he imagined. He wasn't sure what kind of articles he could work on. However, maybe he should try to make the human world more appealing to monster kind. Though he noticed his oldest friend seemed to be shaking. "Honoka-chan are you alright?" He whispered quietly to her.
"I think so Tsukune-sama, but I can't shake this overwhelming feeling I'm being hunted by a predator. Whatever is causing it seems like it wants something from me." He pet her head affectionately. Strangely that feeling intensified as her friend soothed her.
"Alright, let me know if you need anything." The rider gathered some papers to put up. Then the whole group headed out. He became frustrated as the day went on. Their 'senpai' kept having the girls reach higher locations on ladders. He never realized how short the standard issue uniform skirts were. Thankfully, his oldest friend had a long skirt that wasn't so revealing.
Gin was very focused on the girls above. "Gin-san what are you doing?" The human became nervous as eyes that reminded him of a carnivore met his own.
The werewolf regained his composure seconds after glaring at the other male. His fake smile returned shortly after. "Just thinking about our clubs layout, for the paper of course." He sweated slightly at his weak cover.
Next day...
"Tsukune buddy can you help me." Gin smiled innocently as he threw an arm around his shoulder.
"Sure Gin-san, I guess." The younger boy reluctantly followed. He soon arrived by a stack of barrels. They seemed oddly placed beneath a window.
"Alright pal I need you to check that window. One of my sources said some important information was up there. I'll keep watch while you check." The elder student smiled for real as the fool did so.
Tsukune felt like something was off about the request. However, so far it seemed innocent enough. What he saw made him immediately regret listening. Numerous female students scantily clad were changing clothes. He was dazed by the view. He couldn't help himself he was a man that liked women. As he finally turned away Gin was gone. Suddenly, the barrels began to make noise as he lost his balance. When he hit the ground female voices cried out about a pervert. Thinking quickly he released the self imposed restraint on his strength. Then he jumped to the roof nearly over shooting it.
Just before nightfall...
Moka had a stern look on her face as she scolded her male friend. "Is Gin-san telling the truth Tsukune? Were you really peeping?" The look of absolute disappointment on her face was sad.
Before he could respond Kurumu spoke. "Yeah, I would gladly show you my panties, just ask first."
The werewolf grinned at the scene. "It's okay to confess buddy your among friends. Those barrels were long gone when the ladies investigated."
"I swear I didn't do it on purpose. Gin was the one that told me to check out the window." Tsukune had no idea how they could have disappeared so fast. Then he recalled something, he had never mentioned the barrels.
However, Yukari smirked and spoke aloud. "He never mentioned any barrels." She pointed triumphantly at the older student. "Sounds like you were the real pervert all along."
With a curse the black haired guy took off at incredible speed. The rest of the club was hot on his heels. Soon they caught him as the full moon rose over the roof he was on.
He was in full monster form as they arrived. "Welcome ladies and Tsukune. Time to make you all realize my speed is unmatched under this light." He began zooming around knocking everyone down in a flash of movement.
Despite the situation the brunette boy found his feet as Honoka-chan hit the stones again. He took up a defensive stance as he remembered his mother's teachings. He was a stone in the rivers path. The martial artist closed his eyes and just listened.
His limbs moved at the slight sound near. A low kick caused his opponent to fall hard as he returned to his stance. Several minutes passed as he countered the werewolf taking a few attacks in the process. Finally, an airborne assault ended it. Tsukune shot both his arms up taking a shot to the chin. When he had a grip on Gin's shoulders he slammed him down with controlled force. The unmistakable crack of bone touched his hearing.
As he opened his eyes he could see why. His opponent had foolishly tried to stop his descent with his legs. After the initial shock wore off the older boy cried out at his broken legs, falling down. The Kirin rider was concerned as he had not intended such damage. "Gin-san are you alright?"
The werewolf could not recall being hurt this much. Not since Kuyo and his Safety Commission goons had devastated the last newspaper club. A wet pop echoed as his regeneration kicked in and he stood. To everyone shock except Odoriko the bones and wounds returned to normal. He smiled this time with genuine compassion towards Tsukune. "Yeah the full moon really helps my recovery. Under different light however, I would probably be unconscious right now." He thought to himself. That maybe this time his club could survive the inevitable clash with Kuyo. He approached the other guy wondering if he had met a legendary vampire.
Kurumu, Yukari and Moka stood defensively in front of Tsukune. Honoka hugged his wounded right side ignoring the blood. She knew her proximity would increase her riders own recovery. She could see the black-haired boys good intentions as her supernatural sight dug into his being. "It's alright ladies, this time he means no harm." Reluctantly, the three female sentinels allowed him thru. Knowing Honoka was perceptive beyond their abilities.
Gin held out his fur covered arm as his former opponent clasped wrist with him. "Sorry about that setup. I'll clear it up I swear."
"No problem Gin, forgiveness can be a long road. However, genuine remorse can go a long way." He looks around at his small circle of friends with a happy grin. It seems his group had grown by one tonight. "Alright everyone, we have a paper to get out." As a unit everyone nodded as one. Then they all headed for the clubhouse with renewed hopes.
A few minutes after they departed a shadow detached itself from a nearby roof. A pair of shining cat eyes opened as she smiled. 'Seems, I was worried for no reason. Change was coming to Yokai Academy. I just hope the Kirin and her rider will make it a positive one.' She quickly moved away at an impressive speed. 'Perhaps Witch Hill will be fixed at last.'
