I don't own White Queen.

Chapter 5

17 August 1473 – 18 February 1478

Oighrig is pregnant and knew in her heart that it was a boy this time. Richard already decided on their boy's name and will be named Edward Plantagenet of York and future Duke of Gloucester. Since she became pregnant, she couldn't stop smiling. She has two daughters growing more beautiful and smarter every day, and now she will have an heir to complete her bloodline.

Now she is happier and never hides it from anyone.

Elizabeth and Jacquetta are three years old.

She also received a letter that Anne Neville had a son of her own named Edward, and Anne's son is nicknamed Ned. However, in the following letter, Anne is desperate for her to come to Warwick castle because something has happened.

Oighrig asked Richard for permission to visit Anne since she is little Ned's Godmother. Quickly travel and fast haste but bring extra clothes if the journey is long or change course from the weather. Oighrig took their children with her to visit Anne and their uncle Riccardo.

"Anne," She greeted Anne with a hug.

"Oighrig, I need your help."

Anne then explains that her mother, Anne de Beauchamp came when she was told that Anne was married without her permission and had a baby.

"She deserted me. She disowned me when I married Riccardo." Anne angrily said as Riccardo sat on his chair watching his wife rant about her mother. Oighrig sent the children with Anne's governess to watch both her children and Anne's.

The Duchess drinks her wine as she tries to think of a way to prevent Anne's mother from leaving.

"What else has she said?" She questioned Anne.

"That she doesn't approve it and says my marriage is invalid because it was private." Anne is furious!

Her mother didn't say anything since she was abandoned and was left to fend for herself from George and Isabel's schemes to take her inheritance.

"You are right, but your mother is wrong about one thing." The Scottish princess made her point to Anne's statement.

"What?" Anne is desperate since she views the Duchess as her only friend and ally.

"Your lady mother wasn't around to decide your marriage, right?" Anne nodded, still confused about where she was going with this.

"But King Edward did declare George was your guardian and your mother was a sanctuary. So, in a way, she has no right and no say about your choice in marriage since both the king, my husband, and the Vatican approved your marriage. Aye?"

Anne slowly smiled as she understood. 'She's right.' The daughter of Warwick now knows that her mother has no power or say about her marriage.

"However, your mother will be a problem if not left unchecked." The Duchess finished her belief.

Riccardo input his point. "Perhaps, lock her down in the basement. She keeps claiming that she was a prisoner who I told King Edward to bring my mother-in-law home. He agreed, but when I got there, she kept screaming that I would kill her and saying treasonous words against the king. In most times, she looks like she is mumbling to herself, and I am concerned with her sickness with her mind."

The Kingmaker's daughter had gotten the hint and knew what they needed to do. The deal with keeping that fortune from a, shall we say, recently dead mother of Anne Neville.

"DO you hear what my cousin, your husband said? It is up to you, Anne. Remember, you need to keep yourself safe. That means you had to keep your mother in that basement and declare her dead publicly."

Anne looked devastated, but treasonous words from their mother's lips were a sign of endangered her and her son. That is bad for Anne.

She worked hard to keep herself and her rights since people used her as a pawn when their plans failed. They would let her take the fall for them.

Anne had no choice but to do it. For her son.

Anne plans to send word that her mother is now dead, which oddly enough, the last time she talked to her mother, she made weird accusations that her husband was using her for her money and the Scottish princess is not her friend.

Anne's last words to her mother were. "You're mad. Her grace and my husband were right that you must be locked up here. I am not your pawn to be manipulated and toyed with. I am Anne Neville's daughter of Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick, The Kingmaker's daughter. You will not say a word to anyone. No notes and no escaping. You will not endanger your grandson and me for your treasonous ideas. Now stay here and be dead!"

That was the last time she had ever talked to her mother.

Richard was waiting for his wife back at the court since his wife was already traveling. Their daughters greeted him with their kisses, and his wife greeted him.

They talked during their meal and discussed something that happened at court.

"What?" Oighrig gasped. "Edward wanted to have war with France."

Richard nodded as he drank his wine.

"Surely, we already ended one war with the bad queen. Does not mean that France should be punished for her doing?" She said to Richard. She knew that if Scotland heard that France was at war with England, her country would be caught as they wished to fight the Englishmen since they held an older alliance and treaty far longer than England.

"He wanted to take back what Old king Henry lost territories. Also, George wanted to be regent."

His wife scowled at the mention of George.

"I pray the king is smart enough to reject that from Clarence."

"He did, my love." He placed his hand on hers.

They settled in their chambers when night came. Though, her son inside of her womb is kicking rather hard. Her husband decided to tell their unborn son a story about King Arthur and Camelot, and it was his favorite story when he was a boy.

The news came when Queen Elizabeth gave birth to a second son named Richard, and Lady Margaret Beaufort was given a role to help raise the young prince.

Anne had returned to court and greeted Isabel with sisterly love. It seems that Anne forgives her sister since George now has a daughter, but he still wants a son from her.

The entire court is waiting for the king's announcement.

"We are to regain our glory as the old king Henry lost many of our England territories. We are to take back our territory from France!"

The court cheered.

Oighrig withheld her scoffs. She hated that King Edward was making Richard go to war with France.

Anne and Isabel were talking and whispering to each other. It seems that Isabel is afraid of Queen Elizabeth over some fear of what curse. Maybe Isabel is over worried since George has a daughter with her and no son like the one she had lost.

Muttering that, she placed a curse on Earl of Warwick and George's name in blood. Though, as a good roman catholic, there was a similar court that Eleanor Cobham, first the mistress and then the second wife of Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester. In 1441 she was forcibly divorced and sentenced to life imprisonment for treasonable necromancy. They said she cursed Henry the sixth and caused his mind to go mad.

Bridget Stafford went to the door and opened it to let in a surprised guest.

Lady Bridget returned and curtsy, "Lady Cecily, Duchess of York."

Oighrig is surprised as her mother-in-law never attempted to greet her or see her daughters.

"My lady." The former princess greeted Lady Cecily with a formal greeting.

Lady Cecily didn't reply, only to take a seat and take a long look at her and her granddaughters.

When she first heard that Edward made such an arrangement for her son Richard. She was skeptical. Though, she had heard good reports from her people.

When she first came to this country for the marriage. The Scottish princess had shown wit, cunning, and trickery to make the house of York a better image than that common queen. She can appreciate that.

In fact, lately, Isabel Neville turns out to be a disappointment, and Elizabeth Woodville, well… is just a noble upstart.

"I haven't come and congratulate you on pregnancy and the twins previously." Lady Cecily said to her daughter-in-law.

Though, this girl is sharper than anyone she has ever met.

"Yes, though it has been long overdue." 'Quite the iron she has. Worthy of a queen if God gave her a chance.' Lady Cecily smirked as she rather liked this one.

"How Dare you…!" One of Lady Cecily's ladies shrieked.

"Oh enough." Lady Cecily waves off her ladies. "Her grace is right. I had been a folly of a person not to greet my son's wife and children.

'Yes. Since you supported George as King and went along with Edward might not be your husband that your nephew dishonored your reputation.' Duchess of Gloucester holds back her tongue.

Though, she looked at her daughters as they never had a chance to meet anyone in Richard's family.

"I supposed for my children's sake. Let's bury the hatchet as my people often say that we shall forgive and forget our argument."

Lady Cecily smiled and nodded.

Her daughters ran up to greet their grandmother. That is when Oighrig and Cecily bonded and gained a closer relationship as mother/daughter.

December 17th in the year of our Lord 1473, Edward Plantagenet of York and future Duke of Gloucester is born. Richard is thrilled and gives his wife kisses all over her face.

Richard showered his love for her.

He has a son that he has waited for a long time.

Oighrig allows her daughters and Richards's illegitimate children to greet their little brother. John of Gloucester already decided to be a knight to defend his brother. That swells her heart as she is used to Richard's other children as part of her family.

Even Lady Cecily adored both Oighrig children, even her son's illegitimate ones. It was a grand celebration for them.

June 1475

The court was doing their duties as Katherine Grey came running as she held a letter from Ricard after waiting long days.

My Scottish bride,

Our campaign is a farce. King Louis has offered Edward peace terms, and he has taken them. His daughter is to marry the French prince so that she will be the next Queen of France. Also, lots of gold. Fear not, Scotland did not participate with France nor ours despite Edward having hoped that Scots were to join our cause.

I know you held your tongue against Edward's command for my love and sake since I am his brother. We are now merchants haggling at a price, and George's ambition interrupts this peace with rage.

I cannot bear this anymore. We are York's noblest blood and royalties, and our father would turn over his grave if he could see us now.

After I return, we shall return to the North for our children's sake. I don't want to involve them in any political plans.

Richard, your York prince

Oighrig re-read her letter. She couldn't believe it. Are they merchants now?

"Edward, you fool." She muttered herself and shook her head. Months later, on August 29th, the men finally return home.

It wasn't even a war; it was just money bribery from the French and England that became the easy part of their game to persuade us not to invade. Isabel told Anne what George had said to her.

"George says she is a witch! Father said it too! What if everything is her fault! Ever since she sent that storm to kill my poor baby boy."

"We fear her because of what our Father did to hers, and we feel his sin." Anne tries to assure her sister that it was their father's greed and God has punished them for announcing his anointed king.

"The sin is all hers! It is all hers! And now she casts her evil eye on me, and if I cannot give George a boy, it will be all her fault." Isabel tells her hotly. Isabel is getting too full of herself. It was like she wanted to blame Elizabeth for what bad thing had happened to them.

Like George has no love for Isabel when she becomes desperate for his affections.

Speaking of powerful women, the Duchess walks with her daughters while holding her son Edward as they come across the Neville girls.

"My ladies," the Duchess greeted them, then walked off. Isabel looked back with her and realized something else.

"Anne, do you think you can help us?" Isabel whispers urgently to Anne.

They waited for the arrival of the king's party. Richard came with him as she ran towards her husband. "Richard." She greeted him with a smile and a kiss. Richard is pleased to see her again.

Though she can tell something is bothering her husband. "What is it?"

He sighs and says, "He laughed and said I was a fool for chivalry while he stuck his nose in the trough."

"There, there, my love." She comforts her husband. Their daughters are now five and are running towards their father, and Edward is almost two and enjoys being in his father's arms.

Elizabeth had allowed her son Thomas from her previous marriage to be the richest girl in England. The Duchess is furious but keeps herself calm. She noticed that the queen was greedy with wealth, status, and marriage to her family to powerful people.

Now everyone is celebrating these receptions and the so-called victory from France. "That marriage is not even real. Whatever comes out of that bed is only bastards." Duchess Cecily said, taking a sip of her wine as Anne spoke up, saying sharply, "Of course, it is real! They are married in the eyes of God, and that is what counts. I would not want anyone to say such terrible things of me." Frowning when Isabel and Anne began to whisper.

At first, the Scottish princess was about to ignore them until one sentence sent chills down into a bone.

"One of the Queen's ladies told George she has two names written in her locket in blood, and she has cursed them both to die."

She nearly choked on her cup but held it in calmly.

It is only when Lord Stafford and everyone stands in a toast. Everyone watches as they notice that George did not, but they watch what is considered undone.

He slowly stands, but he adds his death penalty. He tips over his wine goblet.

Everyone gasped in shock. He left, and Queen Elizabeth followed her brother-in-law.

This just became worse for the house of York.

It wasn't until later; that George came at a fast pace carrying a dog. It wasn't until everyone realized that his dog his dead. George arguably says that Elizabeth Woodville killed his dog.

She saw it all.

That night, she questioned Richard because of what she had seen.

"Richard," She turned from her mirror as she was getting ready for bed, "How much do you know Queen Elizabeth?"

Richard is curious and wonders what she is bringing on about?

"That she was Lady Grey and begged my brother to bring back her husband's land before he fell in love with her as she rejected to lay with Edward. They had a private wedding before bringing her to court to welcome her as his wife and queen." He answered his wife.

"It just... I'm worried." His wife comes toward him as she hugs Richard, and they embrace each other.

"There's nothing to worry about. George is just angry and whatever he says, pay no attention to his venomous words."

'But what of George is right?' She questioned herself all night.

She was at some birthing chambers as the white drapes in her dreams. A woman is lying there as she is struggling to give birth. A wet nurse is holding a screaming baby boy, and the white drapes are slowing and turning red to cover the drapes.

The red water is showering over the mother, and Oighrig looks down at her feet as it is wet floor from blood.

She pants and starts to realize who is the dead mother.

"Isabel!"

Oighrig awoke with a startle. "Isabel."

The moon shines in the middle of the night as she looks around and sees she is still; she is back home with Richard asleep at her side.

Days later, Anne Neville wrote the news about Isabel and George.

Isabel is dead.

Oighrig sat down in shock. That dream that once showed her must have been a death barking at Isabel's door after the birth of her first son.

Maybe there was a curse.

But would Queen Elizabeth go that far to punish George by killing Isabel? Sure, she didn't like how Isabel tried to allow George to harm Anne for her inheritance and rights, but that didn't justify her death just to punish George. If anything, Isabel was just a victim, and she only wanted George's love and affection that she so desperately craved.

What a minute… Didn't George say he hired a sorcerer to ward off evil spells?

If so, why didn't it prevent Isabel's death?

Or perhaps it was simply a fever that she caught when stressed?

It is common for women who die from giving birth.

February 15th, 1478

After Isabel's death, the earth seems a sad place for Anne Neville. The only ones that kept her going were her husband and son. Now she decided to take in her niece and nephew since George asked her to do.

Anne updated her news with Oighrig about the children and Warwick Castle. In her private letter, she asked Anne if the curse did this. Anne answers what the maids told Isabel and everything the queen does; she found odd herbs that she had been smelling strange scents in the queen's chambers when she greeted the queen before but cannot describe what kind of herbs they are?

Anne already deduced that this must be Elizabeth's magic.

The Duchess of Gloucester says to keep this to themselves as she felt that if one wrong move, they both could lose their children.

She had never felt fear before. Not like this.

Yes, she knew wars, famine, and swords. But when it comes to seers, witches, and devil's work, nothing good comes to anyone seeing it.

She fears for her children's lives.

It turns worse that George wanted to be married now, and it is to his sister's stepdaughter, Mary of Burgundy, but Edward refused to allow it.

"Damn you!" George yelled as he walked out the door. "And damn her!"

George put his two fingers as a cross to Elizabeth, declaring her a witch. Gossiping and rumors started to spread that the queen was a witch or she was using witchcraft to steal the throne.

Richard told his wife they were leaving back to Middleham castle, where they are safe from the conflicts between George, Edward, and Elizabeth.

They flourished at their castle.

Her daughters are learning horseback riding. And Edward is learning reading and writing from his tutors. Richard wanted to give all their education as the noblest blood of York.

"My Lord!" Ser John came running, holding out a paper with a royal seal.

Richard opens a letter and reads about what is happening.

"George is suspicious of using dark magic to cause the death of King Edward."

George has escaped from Edward's men and is on the run. She knew it was the final pull of his insanity since Isabel's death.

She and Richard are to return to court, meaning she must leave her children behind to be safe from danger.

"Mama?" Edward mumbles as he watches his parents getting ready and packing everything. The twins looked back and forth to see what was happening, and their parents packed their things.

"Sweetlings," Their mother kneels at their eye level. "The king has ordered your father, and I are to return to court. You three are to stay here where it is safe, and we will bring you to court once we see fit."

Jacquetta pouted, but Elizabeth looked near tears that they wouldn't be going with their parents this time.

"Now, now." Oighrig hugged all three of her children into her arms. "It won't be long. You must be good and pray to God that it is safe to come to court."

"Okay, mama." Bess answered as Jacquetta repeated, "Love you, mama."

It pains her to leave her children behind. Richard knew this since they were born. They never allow anyone else to raise their children and would bring their children by themselves.

They would be well-care by their governess, Elsa Wylie.

Two days later, they arrived in court. Everywhere she goes, she hears whispers about Elizabeth Woodville.

That she put a curse on Warwick, George's dog, and Isabel's death.

Years ago, she had thought that the queen and herself would be friends, but sadly, it wasn't meant to be.

Since it seems that the queen is making enemies instead of allies.

Now the queen has ordered the Duchess of Gloucester to come and greet her in person. The doors opened, and she looked around briefly as only Queen Elizabeth combing her hair in vanity as she is still considered the most beautiful woman ever lived.

"Your grace," She curtsy before the queen as she did not move from those positions until she was ordered to otherwise.

Oighrig felt slight for being ignored, but she is God's obedient servant, and he will protect her from any devil's servants.

"What did Anne Neville tell you?" Elizabeth demanded. Though based on her mirror reflections, the Duchess of Gloucester did not move unless she was ordered. Elizabeth so hated her.

Not at first, but now she felt inferior toward the former Scottish princess ever since George made a public announcement of Elizabeth being a witch. The court whispers and gossips as if it is true that she used magic to make the king fall in love with her. As well as killing George's dog and Isabel.

The court gave the Scottish princess the love and respect she had. Lady Cecily always demeaned Elizabeth as she was reminded of her common birth, and her mother-in-law praised Oighrig's noble royal blood.

The courtiers looked and asked a favor from the Scottish princess. Elizabeth is jealous of her; she has her husband's love, and he never strays from their marriage. She gave birth to three healthy children, the people at Middleham loved her charities, and even nobles sent letters to Edward if the chances of arranged marriages of her children over Elizabeth's.

"I do not know what you mean, your grace."

That voice infuriated Elizabeth. She has to act like she is so beloved and a perfect princess! Elizabeth threw her brush against the counter of her mirror.

"I ask, what did Anne tell you?" Elizabeth stood over the Scottish princess.

"About what exactly, your grace?" Oighrig hopes to distract the queen's anger from Anne, and she fears that the queen would do something to Anne if she had known what she had been accusing the queen of.

She considers Anne her only English friend in court.

She had Brittany of Angus married Ser John Matthews, who served as her bodyguard and loyal knight and was given Richard's elder brother's lands and titles the Earl of Rutland.

Margaret of Douglas had decided to return to Scotland to marry her betrothed, Henry Stewart.

Only ladies who remain in her care are Bridget Stafford, Anna Howard, and Katherine Grey.

"You know what!" Elizabeth shouted. "Half the court said that I am a witch! George is now on the run and more dangerous than ever! Edward wanted him arrested! And you are a busy being happy and perfect life without contempt from the people of England!"

How is that her fault? She has been a good and dutiful princess who had to leave her homeland and marry a stranger in a strange land.

Yet God has blessed her with a devoted husband and filled her nursery with healthy children.

"My queen, what do you expect me to do about it? These are just rumors unless…." She got up from her position and gave her a stern look. "There are some truths in it."

Elizabeth looked shocked, then sneered. "What are you saying?" She hissed at her sister-in-law.

"I am saying that no one wanted both Earl of Warwick and George's death more than you, your majesty. After all, I had heard that no trials or justice were given to them since they killed your father and brother. The king is merciful to those who serve him, yet you are still angry about his decisions and would argue against him. They still had their titles and lands. Rather gave them not the swift of his sword on their necks, but a slap on their wrists instead." Oighrig knew that arguing with the queen would give her banishment from the court and live in the countryside with her children.

SLAP!

Two of the royal maids who enter gasp when she witnesses that the queen had struck the Duchess for no apparent reason.

The princess stood still and was as powerful as the mountain. The slap gave her a reddish, bluish bruise, blood drips from her corner lips as the queen hurt her with rings or nails.

Even if the queen assaulted her physically, the princess held her dignity and strength, which shows how truly inferior Elizabeth was to Oighrig.

"By your leave, your grace." She emotionless voice did not indicate that Elizabeth had hurt her feelings and curtsy before leaving as the maid stood there in shock. The second one pities the Duchess and gives her a handkerchief to wipe the blood out of her lips. The Duchess paused and said, "Thank you." She wipes the blood to the best of her ability and gives the handkerchief back to the maid and a piece of gold coin for her as thanks.

Elizabeth had made one big mistake.

She had proven that this incident was slowly true as the gossip and rumors.

Elizabeth Woodville does know curses. The two victims are, no doubt, Warwick and George.

When Edward heard about this as the courtiers saw the Duchess left the queen's private room. Oighrig did not give an emotional burst of tears that the queen had slapped her.

In fact, the Duchess held herself with dignity and strength, which impressed many women in court as she simply walked away and went to her room with her husband.

Edward was not pleased that his queen had struck his brother's wife. He even argues that she should have followed the Duchess's example since Elizabeth is not making things better.

No word that the Duchess was banned from court relieved the Duchess.

Anne came to her worried that Elizabeth had put a curse on Oighrig. But the Duchess assured her that she simply gave Elizabeth consciences and wounded pride.

Richard wasn't pleased, but his wife told him this was a fight between women. So, he let it go for now.

That night, the court celebrated an animal mask party.

Richard wears a boar's mask, and Oighrig wears a doe mask. They followed the king and queen's example and walked through what it looks like a forest. The great hall is filled with trees and bushes and people wearing animal masks in dim light. Torches are lit along the walls, and a roaring fire is in the center of the room. This whole event had reminded her of the pagans' rituals she had read back in Scotland. For some odd reason, on the steps she entered the hall, she felt something dreadful was about to happen.

"Richard," She saw a few men carrying swords.

Everyone is siding for or against the queen. Edward fears she will be assassinated, given the rumors." Richards leaves her quickly as if the forest made him disappear from her side. Oighrig gasped sharply and quickly followed through the halls to find Richard.

She felt alone and afraid. More than she had ever felt when she first came to England. As if she saw her childhood self, she saw her father holding her hand as if they were walking in the forest together.

"Remember, my little doe. No matter how thick the forest gets or how scary it has become. Take a moment to breathe and look ahead for sure there is a path to bring you home. It is like a test of faith that God tests his worshippers; sins are like a forest. And like a forest, you can easily get lost and lose your way. You forget where you came from."

She gave a wet smile behind her mask and did what her father once taught her. Take a moment to breathe and look ahead to find a way to get home.

She saw a familiar person.

"Anne," She took off her mask.

"Have you heard from George?" Anne shakes her head.

"I fear whatever is happening. It would end badly for Houses of York." Oighrig told Anne her fears.

"I am worried about my niece and nephew, George and Isabel's children. What will happen to them if they catch George? What will his children get? Where will his and Izzy's money go if not their children?" The Duchess calms down, lady Anne.

"You will find a way, Anne. Perhaps, your nephew Teddy would become a priest or scholar. And Maggie would have no doubt be sought out from every gentleman." She tries to reassure Anne but gives little comfort.

"If not, perhaps I could help with the financial problem. AT least until they are not children anymore."

Anne rebukes her request, "No, you already had many children in your household, and I can't take advantage of that. I'll figure something out, and I'm sure Riccardo will provide ideas for my niece and nephew."

Riccardo mentioned to Anne that perhaps the children could live with his family in Rome and help her sister's children's better chances there.

Oighrig nodded and put back her mask to find Richard.

She decided to wait by the centerfire so Richard could find her.

A familiar voice came behind her.

"Look at her, acting like the King herself." Twisting around to see the mask of a bull, it is George himself.

The fool.

Slowly she removed her mask.

"What are you doing here? You should have never come here."

"I am not afraid of either of them. My sorcerer has told me that the witch will give the Princes over to their killer with her own hands, and she will end her line herself." His voice is deeper.

Oighrig lightly lectures him.

"Enough. It is forbidden to predict the death of royalty." Everyone knows that if someone predicted a royalty's death, King Edward could execute them.

"Please, leave. Think about your children." The Duchess urged George to be the father his children needed.

"I am thinking about my children. And to kill a royal Duchess? Mother of my children? My family?" George walked up to the center and revealed himself before all of the courts.

"They did not let that stop them!" King Edward called out his men to arrest his brother, but this night had shown all this chaos.

"So you're king, your great king, your beloved Edward is a murderer! Just as you have murdered before, eh Edward? When you took a pillow and smothered old King Henry? And who bade you do it? That evil witch, Elizabeth Rivers!" Anne and Riccardo removed their masks to watch the madness by this point.

Lady Margaret and her husband were watching, as was half the court. Elizabeth Woodville was frozen in her place as George yelled at her, alone with Edward watching helplessly to one side.

"And you killed my wife and my first-born son!" At this point, Edward screamed for the guard, looking around, telling them,

"Someone take him. He has gone mad! And still, you do not see it?!" Richard and Anthony ran to grab George before George could put his hands on Elizabeth as he continued raving and even charging at her. Oighrig went to Anne and Riccardo's side as she watched this entire feud undone the event.

It was no longer a forest of dreams.

This is a basic version of hell.

King Edward is showing no more chances. No more mercy for his brother George, and he even ignores his mother's pleas to free George.

Richard argues with his brother all day but is as proud as a lion. He refused to heed her husband's counsel.

When the trial begins for George, we find out that Edward is prosecuting and that no one is defending George. Anthony left the trial straight out, and everyone seems certain that it was childbed fever and not poison that killed Isabel. However, all the focus shifted onto George using a sorcerer.

Now everyone is on tiptoes around Elizabeth.

The next day, Lady Cecily whimpers as Oighrig tries to comfort her. Richard stood at the fireplace as he glared at the flames.

"He cannot do this, Richard. You must tell him! If he is found guilty, he will die!" She said in her misery as Richard shook his head, saying,

"We are the three Sons of York. How can we be divided over one woman?"

"Oh, please, not George! Not George of all of you!" She said, making both Richard and his wife turn to her in pure confusion as Richard asked her,

"Why him of all of us? Would it rather be me? Would you rather it was Edward and all of his sons too, just so your precious little George could have every last thing he ever wanted?" When she could not reply, Richard left the room, leaving me alone with his mother.

Leaving behind two women alone together. She wonders why Cecily favors George more than her other sons.

However, she decided not to say anything and simply helped her mother-in-law lay on the bed in hopes of letting her sleep it off.

She went to seek her husband. She knows this was just out of anger at both Cecily and Richard, and she probably would have reacted the same if she was given a choice of which of her children shall die?

Richard was looking at the sun. As if he was hoping that God would give him a sign of three suns again?

Oighrig walked behind him and wrapped her arms around him as she hugged him from behind. They stood quietly.

Praying that things will get better soon.

February 18, 1478

George was imprisoned and charged with treason. He was found guilty and was privately executed at the Tower. His choice to die is by drowning in a barrel of malmsey wine.

Everyone knows that Malmsey wine is Queen Elizabeth's favorite wine.

How ironic yet poetic justice on both parts of the so-called actors of this tragic tale of theirs.

Edward now secured his crown, and no one shall dare challenge him again. Richard cries in the chapel as his wife greets him and holds him.

"Let's go back. Back home where our children are still waiting for us." In the background, everyone had heard church bells ringing, signaling the death of his brother, George Plantagenet, the Duke of Clarence.

It was also the day Richard and his wife packed their things and returned to their home. She had said her farewells to Anne, Riccardo, and Lady Cecily.

It will be years before they return to court.

And this time, the tides will turn against each other and will be first taken on an event for royal succession, and who will have the right to rule England?

Reviews are welcome.

I wanted to create some tension between Elizabeth and Princess Oighrig.

So, the next chapter will be King Edward's death, and tension rises on who will take the throne? Oighrig dreams of bringing her blood to royalties as queen of England as been fulfilled.
