Once the show ended, they had to carry Roman out of the ring. His back had stiffened up and he couldn't move.
Amaya was packing up their things so when Roman finished cleaning up, they could leave.
She had watched the match from their locker room and then had run out to meet him at Gorilla.
Dolph caught her.
"I need to see him", she said.
"I know, but doc is looking at him and Vince is there too. Let them figure it out first", he said.
"Bullshit, that's my husband", she shouted.
"Amaya, just wait", Dolph shouted back.
Before she could respond, Finn shoved Dolph away from her.
"Let her go.", Finn said.
"Thanks", she said, before continuing down the hall.
She saw Dean and Seth, then Roman came around the corner with the doctor. He saw her and opened up his arms to her.
She wrapped hers around him.
"I'm okay, just a bad bump. Promise", he whispered, kissing the top of her head.
"When I didn't see you move or get up, the worst popped into my head. It scared me", she replied.
"I had to look scared. It was all for the show, I am good.", he said.
She nodded. He met her lips.
"I will see you back in the locker room", he said.
"I can wait for you. What do you need to get?", she asked.
"Just talk to Braun about the match. The fans loved it", he said.
She nodded.
"Don't be too long", she replied, kissing him again.
He watched her walk down the hall and disappear around the corner before he started back to Gorilla where he had seen Braun.
"I've got your back", Dean said, following.
"Me too", Seth nodded.
"That ending big guy, it wasn't apart of the show, right?", Dean asked.
Roman's hands curled into fists.
"No", he replied.
"Mother fucker", Dean growled.
Braun was shaking hands with Vince as their boss was telling him how talented he was and that he was a big hit tonight.
Braun was eating it up. Apparently unaware that Vince said that to almost all the guys.
Roman grabbed Braun and pushed his forearm into his throat.
"Don't you ever try something like that again. You could have paralyzed me, don't you get it. Its why we asked you stay away from my back.", Roman shouted.
He could feel a few of the guys telling him to stop and to let Braun go. Roman didn't listen.
"You're just mad because Vince complimented me on the match tonight", Braun was able to speak.
"I don't give a fuck about that. I care about my wife, who was scared out of her mind backstage. My kids who could have lost their dad with one wrong hit to my back like that. Kiss his ass, lick it, I don't care, but don't ever go off script like that again", Roman shouted.
Braun's face was red.
"Then get out of this business if you are so scared", Braun growled.
"I'm not scared, I just worry about guys like you, who don't care who they step on or hurt, just to get to the top. Then again, guys like you don't last long in this business", Roman replied, releasing him.
Braun took deep breathes and coughed as he rubbed his throat.
"What's going on?", Hunter asked, as he walked into Gorilla.
Before Roman could answer, Vince placed his arm over Roman's shoulder.
"Just adding onto this on going feud.", Vince replied with a smile.
Roman sighed and walked away. He looked back at Dean and Seth.
"Don't tell Amaya. She worries about me enough.", he said.
Dean and Seth looked at each other.
"Rome, your back is bad. I agree with Amaya on taking some time off.", Seth said.
"Not you too", he mumbled.
"Hey, your wife is just looking out for you. She wants you healthy for her and your kids. Just like you said, you have a family who loves you. Do right for them", Dean said.
Roman sighed and nodded.
"I will, as soon as this feud ends. The next guy to face me, I will gladly give the title to, but not that guy. Anyone but him", Roman said.
"On that we can all agree", Seth said.
Roman nodded.
Valerie had waited to move in till Roman and Amaya got back home from picking up the girls from April and Phil's house. As much as Roman wanted to put it off, he couldn't anymore.
He had to sit his daughter down and tell her the news. He walked into her room.
"Hey princess, can we talk?", he asked her.
Autumn nodded and he sat on her bed.
"So, your mom and I talked, she will be moving into the guest house", he said.
She looked confused.
"So you and mom won't be in the same house anymore? What about me and Malia?", she asked.
Roman realized she thought he meant Amaya.
"No baby, not Amaya. Your mom", he said.
He could see concern written on his daughter's face.
"Now, she won't be allowed to talk to you unless you want her too. Promise. She will stay in the guest house away from you", he explained.
"Promise?", she asked.
He nodded.
"Me and mommy Amaya will not let her near you, but we do hope you give her a chance again", he said.
She seemed to be thinking it over.
"I don't want to see her", Autumn said.
Roman nodded.
"Then she will stay away until you do", he replied.
Autumn laid down and hugged her pillow. Roman stood and kissed her head before walking out. Amaya was leaning against the wall.
"How did it go?", she asked.
"Doesn't want to see Val. I told her we would keep her away from her till she was ready to see her", Roman said.
Amaya nodded.
"Mom", Autumn called.
Amaya pushed herself off the wall and walked into Autumn's room. Amaya hugged her, Roman watched from the door.
"Its going to be okay. Remember what we talked about", Amaya said.
Autumn nodded.
It had been a few weeks, they were adjusting to life with Valerie living in their guest house.
Thankfully Amaya and the girls haven't run into her as they come and go from their home.
He was busy getting ready for Hell In A Cell in two days. Nervous that Braun would want to get revenge for what Roman did to him.
Hunter had kept them apart as much as they could.
Amaya had come back from the gym. Roman had dropped the girls off with his parents.
He wanted to spend some alone time with his wife.
She removed her sweater and he walked up behind her. She jumped, surprised by him. She giggled as he kissed her neck.
"I'm all sweaty babe", she said.
He shrugged and continued to kiss her neck.
"Where are the girls?", she asked, as his hands moved up to her chest.
"My parents", he replied.
"Perfect. Did you plan this?", she asked, turning and pushing him back towards their bed.
He smirked.
"Maybe. I wanted you all to myself for a bit.", he replied.
He lifted her and gently placed her on their bed.
"I've been thinking", she said between kisses.
He moaned as he kissed down her stomach.
"I'm not on birth control right now", she said.
He stopped and sat up, a smile on his face.
"Title or no title, if I end up pregnant then I end up pregnant. Lets leave it up to fate", she said.
He kissed her.
"I like that plan", he mumbled against his wife's lips.
She giggled.
"I knew you would", she replied.
Roman removed his shirt, before he could do the same to his wife, someone knocked downstairs.
"Are you kidding me?", he sighed.
She giggled.
"I'll be here", she replied.
"Better. I will be right back", he said, kissing her before grabbing his shirt and putting it on.
When he got to the living room, they knocked again, but it didn't come from the front door.
Seeing the back sliding door, Valerie stood there. She waved. He made his way to it and opened it.
"What's up Val?", he asked.
"The electricity in my house went out. I tried to turn on the light to the bathroom and it turned on before making a noise and shutting off. Now nothing turns on", she said.
He nodded.
"I will be right over", he said.
"Thanks", she replied.
He made his way upstairs, hearing the shower on. He made his way to the bathroom.
"Sorry, I will be quick", she shouted as she watched him stand by the door.
"Take your time", he replied.
He made his way back down and to his garage, grabbing what he needed. It wasn't the first time the electricity had gone out in the guest house.
He and Phil had to fix it once.
Knocking on the front door, Val opened it and let him in. He made his way to the master bedroom and then the closet.
"I have to show you how to fix this if ever it goes out again. Its easy, but it takes a few minutes for the lights to come back on", he explained.
She nodded as she sat on her bed.
Once he opened the box, he called her over.
"You just reattach this one and this one, but be careful because it can shock you.", he said.
She nodded. The box beeped and he sighed.
"There. Now the lights should come on, give it ten minutes before you turn anything on.", he said, stepping back and removing his gloves.
"Okay. If it doesn't?", she asked.
"Let me know and I will call an electrician. We've been meaning to, but no one really stays in this house unless they are visiting for a few days", he explained.
She nodded.
"Want some coffee or something?", she asked.
"No. Amaya and I were spending some time alone before my mom drops the girls off", he said, making his way to the door.
"How fun, no kids. I remember those days", she said.
"Val", he warned.
"I was just saying, relax. Making friendly conversation", she said.
He nodded before leaving. Making his way back inside his house, his wife was sitting at the kitchen table.
"Imagine my surprise when I come down naked and you weren't here", she said.
"Amaya…", he was stopped when the front door opened.
His kids ran in, followed by his mom and dad. Amaya sighed before standing.
