(A/N) Hello!
So, with Mardi Gras coming up, I thought I'd do a little story based on a song we both love. Christian Kane's "The House Rules".
Also, I may have pulled inspiration from a scene from another show I love, and a moment I like.
Hope you enjoy!
So you're tired and you're beat and you worked all week and you need a place you can let it go. Where the girls go wild and boys play it hard and you need a little more than just a radio.
It had been a long-ass week for Eliot, Hardison, Parker, and Kaira. The mark wasn't cooperating, and the job had nearly been blown, had it not been for Hardison's rock-solid aliases and Kaira and Parker's grifting. They got home late on a Friday night. They managed to sneak into the brewpub without alerting the staff. The twins we're with Riley for one more night. And they saw it was packed inside the brewpub, so they thought it would be a good idea to give a hand to the staff.
Well here's you're open invitation. With just a couple regulations.
Eliot was in the kitchen, helping the kitchen staff and helping to deliver food. Kaira was at the bar, helping the bartending staff with drinks. Parker was mingling with the customers, and Hardison was keeping the rock music going all night. And so far everyone was behaving themselves.
And I warn ya son, better come to have fun. We don't take kindly to serious. So leave your troubles at the door, unless you want some in here.
There were a couple rowdy guests, mainly trying to hit on women who told them, no, but a stern warning in the form of a look from Kaira got them to stop. But the most important part was everyone was having fun!
Welcome to my house, buckle up tight. Everyone sings and drinks and laughs and gets highs. It's a country music, a little soul, and it's a rock in roll, rodeo. Don't tolerate no sittin' around. Everybody's dancing and groovin' and getting on down. So before you come in here with some kinda attitude. You better read the house rules.
Hardison played some classic rock over the loudspeakers, so everyone was up and dancing around. And everyone was laughing and singing along to the music. The group of thieves loved the atmosphere!
Around 11 o'clock when the front door locks and the boys start raising the bottle. Where the girls do the thing with the Mardi Gras beads. Yeah you know they're gonna show 'em if they got 'em.
Everyone was still having a good time well into the night. And a lot of people were feeling pretty good by 11 o'clock. And there were still no major issues.
And no matter what your story, a good time is mandatory. Well, rule number 7 says don't touch the women, but they can grab whatever they want to.
(A/N disclaimer, please do not grab anyone without their consent. No matter who you are, it's not cool.)
Unfortunately, towards the end of the night, there was indeed a problem.
"Get your hands off me!" Kaira and Eliot could hear a woman yelling.
"Come on, don't be like that." A guy argued.
One look between the couple said that they needed to end this. So they walked up to the guy.
"Hey!" Kaira and Eliot yelled.
"What?" The guy snapped.
"Leave the young lady alone and settle down, or your ass is gonna get thrown out." Eliot threatened the guy.
"What? Like this?" This guy was obviously drunk and tried grabbing the young lady's ass, but Kaira kicked his knee, sending him to the ground.
The crowd had gathered, looking at the night's entertainment.
"Leave." Kaira threatened.
The guy somehow got up, and stared right at Kaira.
"Who do you think you are, bitch?" The guy was pissed!
Kaira and Eliot chuckled.
"I'm one of the people who own this bar. So what I say, goes. Leave." Kaira said.
"Really, man, trust me, you do not want to get an ass-whoopin' from my girl here. Or me." Eliot got right beside Kaira.
"I think I'm gonna stay." The guy taunted.
Kaira and Eliot just looked at each other
"House rules?" Kaira had a smirk on her face.
"Yep." Eliot told her, popping the "p" at the end.

The fight ended quickly, with Kaira simply kicking his leg in, Eliot clocking him well, grabbing his collar, and tossing him out into the street. They walked back in, and after making sure the young lady was okay, and dealing with some lip from the drunk guys' equally drunk buddies, the party resumed.
There's no such thing as last call. Pick 'em up when they fall. Share the same bathroom stall, says the sign on the wall.
The rest of the night went well, with just a couple people needing cab rides home.

At around 2 in the morning, they shut the restaurant down for the night. Kaira was sweeping up the floors, and Eliot was helping the kitchen staff put away food and get ready for open. Parker ran up to Kaira and jumped and hugged her.
"Whoa, Parker!" Kaira chuckled, amused at the thief.
"AHHH that was so cool!" Parker was hyper as hell and dropped down.
Kaira chuckled.
"Well, you know the house rules." Kaira smiled at Parker.
Eliot then came down, smiling at the display.
"Hell yeah, mama. Seein' you get in that ass's face, that was somethin'." Eliot smirked at Kaira as they met in the middle.
"Not my fault he didn't listen." Kaira teased Eliot, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him.
Then Hardison came in and wrapped his arm around Parker.
"I think that was the best entertainment of the night. And I was rocking it!" Hardison chuckled.
"Yeah you were." Kaira complimented the hacker.
"We gotta do this more often, Princess." Eliot teased Kaira.
"We could take it upstairs, Cowboy." Kaira teased Eliot.
He just smirked and they went upstairs. Hardison and Parker looked at each other.
"They did the thing didn't they?" Parker asked Hardison.
"Yes they did, babe." Hardison told Parker.
Then they went upstairs.
You better read the house rules.
Oh you better read the house rules.
(A/N) I really hope you all enjoyed this!
In case you missed it, I was referencing the scene from the Supernatural episode "Last Call", which Christian Kane guest stared on, where he plays a hunter named Lee. At the end of a scene where Lee and Dean are singing "Good Ol' Boys" from Dukes of Hazard (Another reference cause John Schnieder was on "The Studio Job" episode aka my favorite episode and the episode that made me fall in love with CK) and they finish the song, and they hear a commotion from a woman, who is yelling, and Dean looks at Lee and says "Roadhouse rules?" And Lee's like "Road... house rules." and beat the guy up. It's an amazing scene! Then it gets heartbreaking. But yeah, that's the reference. (BTW can we get Jensen Ackles to come on Leverage: Redemption season 2 please? Cause I want Jensen vs CK round 2!)
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed it!
Remember to give kudos, share, subscribe, and comment! Much love to you all! Stay safe!
