Chapter 3M

Holly and Paige were excited for their journey, and May couldn't blame them. She was excited too, and she could tell Brendan and Ethan were excited too. Paige said "Hey May, you know what most people do when they first get pokemon?"

"What?" asked May.

Paige responded "We fight!"

May responded "Ok." And started to walk out. She noticed Brendan had muffled himself, and was free to speak normally.

Holly said "Hey May, where are you going?"

"I think she wants us to fight first, Holly."

"Ok, Paige. Let's do this!"

May left, saying "You girls have fun, i'll learn about Treekip first."

As soon as she left, she worked with Brendan to sprint behind the lab.

Brendan grabbed both of their pokeballs and summoned their starters.

"Hey Treekip, it's me. I'm your trainer now!"

Treecko was hyped for the journey, and for a brief moment, May forgot about her predicament. Brendan reminded her by typing out "We need to tell them. It'll be impossible to go on our journey successfully without doing it." on her phone.

May agreed, and she felt Brendan kneel down to their starters.

"Hey Treekip, there's a bit of a problem with me right now. Half my body isn't working properly, and even what you hear might not be me speaking. We're going to need a way to strategize in battles, is that ok?"

Treekip nodded on both sides, and May pondered what to do. As she thought, Brendan checked the pokedex. Treecko knew Pound, Leer, and Leafage. May then had an idea, and said "I have an idea. I'll put out my hand, and my partner will do it as well. If you are grass type, follow the orders of my right hand. If you're water type, follow my left hand."

"For both of you, your first move is going to be Pound or Tackle, depending on what you know. The second one is Leer or Growl, the third move is Leafage or Water Gun." The starters nodded happily, and they tested it out. Brendan held out three fingers, and May held out one. The Treecko use tackle, and Mudkip used bubble beam, exactly how they wanted. All four of them celebrated, ready for their journey.

Authors note: In case you haven't figured it out by now, i'm basically copy pasting the same story into both sides, then making edits to keep it relevant for the specific person.
