Chapter 4 – Beeshank Helldemption

Dean stares at his reflection in his blood. He's now nothing more than just another damned soul, doomed to an eternity in Hell. This wasn't supposed to be how things went. He was supposed to kill Elsa and leave back through the same Hell portal he entered. But only the living can pass through Hell portals.

He hears light footsteps behind him. He turns around to see the short bee he betrayed earlier.

"So, you got what you deserved," Barry says to him, before sighing. "Now that we're both stuck here, you may as well come with me. If you keep sitting there, you'll get reported for being idle."

Barry helps Dean to his feet and leads him across the open space. A short man with a bushy, white mustache then runs up to them.

"You can't just leave me behind like that, Barry!" he says. "Honestly, you are the worst employee I've ever had!"

"I don't work for boardgame mascots, old man," Barry retorts.

Realization hits Dean. "Holy shit, you're the Monopoly Man!" he exclaims.

Monopoly grumbles. "Yes, I'm the fucking Monopoly Man. Does everyone have to say that?"

Dean shrugs. "It doesn't matter anyway," he says. "I came here on a mission. I broke into the warehouse to assassinate the soul of Queen Elsa."

Monopoly looks up at Dean. "If you mean the blue bitch, she broke out almost as soon as she arrived," he explains. "Security used to be a lot tighter before she killed half the guards. You likely wouldn't have made it in the building if she hadn't done that."

Dean kicks a nearby shelf. "Fuck!" he swears. "Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK!" He looks back at Monopoly. "So, you're telling me that I got killed for nothing?"

Monopoly starts sweating nervously. "Now, that's not true," he says with a forced chuckle. "The real assassination target was the friends you made along the way!"

"Fuck the friends I made along the way!" Dean says. "If Elsa's not here, then I'm breaking the fuck out and killing her myself."

"Look, even if you slip past the guards, you can't leave the building," Monopoly explains. "Our souls are bound to the demon lord running this place. The one that you made into a cyclops. As long as its alive, it will use its total dominion over our souls to make us physically incapable of leaving the building."

"Well, why don't we just close and kill it before the grunts notice?" Barry asks.

"That should work…" Dean says, already thinking up a plan.

"You don't get it!" Monopoly yells. "Half the people in here have already tried breaking out! It's just not possible! Get over yourselves already and accept being a slave!"

Dean almost accepts his fate, but he looks over Monopoly's shoulder and sees an oblivious forklift driver, carelessly backing up over Fenry Hord. Hord fades away as his soul is killed and he ceases to exist.

Dean clenches his fist. "No, fuck that," he says. "This place is dogshit. I'm getting out whether you're coming with us or not. Come on, Barry."

As Dean and Barry walk away, Monopoly stands alone, unsure of himself. Whatever happened to the man who became the world's first trillionaire? Where is his determination?

Or did he ever really have the guts for anything?

He's no longer sure.

Dean and Barry are sitting on the floor, doing nothing. They've been doing nothing for about an hour now, and intend on doing nothing for as long as it takes to get what they want. Other workers walk around them, only able to spare a glance before hurrying off with their boxes.

Just as they are wondering why they haven't been disciplined yet, the crowd parts and they see a demon grunt angrily marching toward them. They remain seated as it comes to a halt in front of them.

"The Baron wishes to see you," it growls.

Dean smirks. The Baron could only be the one-eyed demon lord. This is perfect.

The demon grabs Dean and Barry by the necks and walks off with the two choking prisoners in its hands. After several minutes of walking, the grunt arrives at one of the walls of the infinite warehouse, having likely teleported partway through the trip. It throws Dean and Barry down in front of a small door.

"Enter," it says, before walking off and vanishing.

Dean turns to Barry. "Remember," he says. "Kill it fast, with whatever you can find. We can't let it know that we're planning something. If it has time to react, we're dead."

Barry crosses his arms. "We're already dead," he says.

"Fine. Double dead," Dean says with an eyeroll. "Now come on."

Dean opens the door and enters with Barry following close behind. As soon as they are both through, the door slams shut and audibly locks itself. Barry looks around the room, already scanning it for anything that could kill someone. There's nothing. The room is just a plain office, with a desk in the center that the one-eyed demon, the Baron, is sitting at. However, what catches Barry off-guard is Monopoly Man sitting off to the side.

"Hello Mr. Winchester, Mr. Benson," it says with a wicked grin. "Monopoly here just told me something very interesting. Why don't you tell them what you said, Monopoly?"

Monopoly is sweating. "I- I told the demons about your escape plan," he says.

Barry froze. "You bastard!" Dean yells from beside him. But Barry doesn't notice. He's not going to be able to escape. He's not going to meet with the Devil. He's going to be stuck down here forever, slaving away in this warehouse. And he'll never see Shrek again.

Shrek.

That's right, Barry needs to save Shrek from that fake Donkey. He almost forgot. That asshole who sold Barry's soul to become Donkey. He's the reason he's down here. And the reason he needs to get out. But just who was it that performed the ritual in the first place? Barry should know this. If only he didn't lose most of his memories on the way into Hell. Regardless, Barry can't afford to give up and stay in Hell forever. Not when he might finally have a chance to make Shrek love him again.

"You don't get it, Dean! I found my own way out! Who cares if I had to betray a few people I only knew for a couple hours?!" Barry hears Monopoly yelling and looks up. He was so busy wallowing in self-pity that he managed to forget about the argument happening in front of him.

"Monopoly, you fucking idiot!" Dean yells. "We're the only ones who can stop Elsa from taking over Hell! We can't be stuck in here!"

The Baron is smiling as if it's enjoying the argument.

Monopoly turns to the Baron. "You have them, demon. Now give me my wish," he says.

The Baron frowns and looks at Monopoly with its one eye. "Ah yes. The wish," it says with a dismissive wave of its hand. "You won't be getting wish,"

"You promised me a wish!" Monopoly says. "I want out of this damned building!"

The Baron groans and rubs its forehead. "Your little rich person tantrum is giving a fucking headache," it says.

Monopoly's face turns red. "And being your slave is giving me a headache!" he shouts. "I want my freedom! Like you promised!"

"Monopoly, stop existing," the demon commands.

Monopoly face fills with fear. "No, ple-"

In an instant Monopoly is no longer there. Where he sat is now an empty void. Barry shivers in horror as air rushes to fill the gap that was once Monopoly. He realizes just how outmatched they truly are. He looks to his side to see Dean just as paralyzed as himself.

"Now," the Baron says, looking back to Dean and Barry. "It's time to deal with you two."

Suddenly, Dean snaps into action, running forward at their captor. The Baron could easily kill Dean at any second, however it's just as shocked at Dean's actions as Barry is. Dean vaults himself over the Baron's desk and tackles the demon to the floor. The two roll around on the ground as Barry runs over to help. He starts rifling through the desk drawers, searching for a weapon as Dean does his best to stop the Baron from speaking.

"Hurry up, bee!" Dean shouts over his shoulder. "I can't hold him forever!"

Barry hurries his search until he finally finds something. He pulls the wooden pain rod from the desk, careful not to touch the ends. He had been looking for Dean's gun, but this works too.

Dean yelps as the Baron pushes him off. "Both of you, sto-" it tries to say.

However, just before it can command Dean and Barry to stop existing, Barry rams the entire pain rod down the Baron's throat. It begins to writhe in pain and let out muffled screams. The pain seems to be getting worse as the demon's writhing turns to flailing and it begins to look like the beast is having an especially violent seizure. The demon's eyepatch comes loose in the fit and Barry can see where Dean had shot it earlier. Blood begins to leak out of the wound. Then, with a sudden jolt, the Baron goes still.

Dean walks up next to Barry and looks down at the corpse. "Jesus Christ. Did you have to give it a brain aneurism?" he asks.

Barry shrugs. "I think I know now why they were so careful with that thing," he says.

Dean kneels down beside the dead demon and begins searching its pockets. After a few seconds he grins and holds up his silver pistol. "All right," he says. "Let's get the fuck out of this place."

Barry frowns. "If the warehouse is infinite how are we going to get out?" he asks. "Finding a door would take too long."

Dean stands up and holsters his gun. "The warehouse is infinite but Hell sure as hell isn't," he explains. "This is why the exterior is just regular sized warehouse. Which means that if we can find a wall and bust right through it, we won't be very far from where we started." Dean smirks. "And what do you know? Those morons brought us right to the edge of the building. Now we just need to find explosives."

Just then, the Baron's corpse starts to bubble, as if it's about to pop.

"Ah, perfect," Dean says. "Luckily for us, demon blood contains high concentrations of plotdevicium, which causes demons to explode shortly after death. Now stand back!"

Dean kicks the corpse at the wall of the small office and ducks behind the desk with Barry. Just as the body hits the wall, a large explosion fills the room. Dean and Barry barely survive behind the desk. Once the smoke clears, they stand up and walk over to the hole.

"Thank fuck that's over with," Dean says. "That went on way longer than I'd planned. But, we're out now and can move on. By the way, speaking of moving on, I should probably apologize for betraying you."

Barry laughs. "It's fine. If you hadn't betrayed me, I would've just betrayed you," he says.

Dean starts laughing too. "Glad to see we're on the same page," he says. "Now, back to our quest to stop Elsa. She broke out long before us and we have no way of tracking her down. I think it would be best to pay the Devil a visit and let him know what's coming. He may just revive both of us in return for helping him stop her."

Barry nods. "Sounds like a plan," he says. "Onward to the Devil's palace!"

The two step through the hole and continue their journey.
