Etude Op. 10, No. 10 in A-flat Major ("Waltz")

Kai discovered the piano in spring, standing proudly among the trees. His fingers touched the keys. A flurry of petals swirled around him, the lifeblood and heartbeat of the forest.

The forest in the summer was bright with stars. He lay in the cool grass counting flickering fireflies, dreaming of flying free, a star among the distant stars.

Autumn brought its biting chill, piercing his brittle heart, dry as the fluttering leaves, the dying remnants of time gone by. He was leaving the only home he knew.

Gentle winds swirled the winter snow in flurries, sparkling brilliantly in silver moonlight, dusting their shoulders and entwined hands with crystal. He was happy, carrying his perfect world within.

Author's Notes: Hmm, this one came out a little abstract. It kind of reads like a poem.
