The episode begins when Ferrel and his men are under attack by the two ships. Terriermon digivolves to Gargomon and performs Gargo Launchers, a grenade launcher version of Gargo Pellets, at the two ships. The gate activates just as Gargomon continues to destroy the ships.

"Alex, get out of there!" cried Shoutmon.

The ship gets destroyed by Gargomon before the gate is destroyed. Alex and Shoutmon are trapped during the wormhole. Ferrel and his men have managed to escape to the headquarters. Hammond shows up.

"Where's Alex and Shoutmon?" asked Hammond.

"They were behind me!" cried Ferrel.

"They are trapped in the wormhole." said Miss May.

At the control room, they warn the technician about Alex and Shoutmon's whereabouts.

"You're telling me that Alex and Shoutmon are trapped in the wormhole?" asked Hammond.

"Yes." said Miss May.

The technician dials up the gate, only to be aborted by Hammond. Ferrel's men then go to the briefing room with Hammond.

"We know that during the battle with the two ships, the gate is destroyed." said Miss May.

"I see…" said Hammond.

"This resulted in Alex and Shoutmon trapped inside the wormhole." said Miss May.

"If we can erase the memory of the gate now, then we won't see Alex and Shoutmon again." said Jack.

"What should we do?" asked Hammond.

"Call the Pentagon." ordered Ferrel.

At the control room, the gate is being repaired. At the office, Hammond sees Jack regarding the whereabouts.

"Pack your bags, we are going after them." said Hammond.

At the control room, Ferrel and Miss May finds the solution to the gate problem.

"We know that erasing the gate's memory will not bring Alex and Shoutmon back." said Miss May.

"Miss May, listen, Meicoomon knows what to do with this gate." said Ferrel.

At the city of Moscow, Jack attends the meeting of the man known as Carl.

"Welcome, Jack." said Carl.

"We know that Alex and Shoutmon are missing during the wormhole back to the headquarters." said Jack. "They are not kidnapped. They are missing."

The conversation continues. At the cafeteria, Hammond shows up while Ferrel is sleeping on the table.

"I just can't stop thinking about Alex and Shoutmon, Hammond." said Meicoomon.

"Get some rest, Meicoomon and take Impmon with you." ordered Hammond.

At the briefing room, Hammond greets two men as well as Miss May and Pete.

"Welcome, general." said the man.

"Nice to meet you, general." said the other man.

At the office, Hammond talks to the two men and Pete regarding the rescue mission. Still at Moscow, Jack continues to talk to Carl. Ferrel gets some gas only to encounter a man. He then confronts the man.

"You!" cried Ferrel.

"What do you want, Ferrel?" asked the man.

"I want to find the former terrorist named Alex." said Ferrel. "He's on my side and he has a partner named Shoutmon."

"Good luck with that, I'm outta here." said the man.

At the lab, Miss May and Pete are looking up the location of Alex and Shoutmon. The location pops up on the screen.

"There it is." said Miss May.

Miss May receives a phone call from Jack, who got back from the meeting.

"What did they say? Uh-huh. See you later, Jack." said Miss May.

At the office, the man talks to Hammond. Meanwhile, Ferrel opens the door to the room. From there, he apologizes for yelling at the man.

"Listen, I was sorry for yelling at you. I was here to tell you about the whereabouts." said Ferrel.

Still at Moscow, one of Jack's work relatives reads the documents.

"This is unacceptable, sir." said the man, looking at the documents.

"What do you mean, unacceptable?" asked the man.

Jack shows up.

"It means that the missions make this document unacceptable." said Jack.

Inside the motel room, Ferrel summons Meicoomon, Terriermon and Impmon to find several documents in order to decipher the investigation.

"I found something, Mei-mei." said Impmon.

Impmon looks up the location of Alex and Shoutmon via coordinates.

At the cafeteria, Miss May, Pete and the man are eating chicken and salad. The eating ends as Miss May and Pete leave the cafeteria. Outside the house, Ferrel and the man are talking to the guard. Impmon, Terriermon and Meicoomon continue to decipher the codes. The guards show up.

"They found us!" cried Meicoomon. "Fight!"

Meicoomon and Terriermon fight the guards. Sam then comes to the rescue by summoning Veemon. At the area, Hawkmon is also summoned by Sam to rescue the man. Later at Moscow, Jack continues the conversation of the man. Meanwhile, Meicoomon, Terriermon and Impmon show up.

"Sorry I'm late, Ferrel." said Meicoomon. "More of these guards are on their way. Let's go."

Meicoomon grabs Ferrel by his arms and takes the imprisoned man with him. Despite the orders, Meicoomon chooses to leave the man imprisoned. At the room, Veemon and Sam look up the recordings. At the room, the new documents are presented to Jack. At the briefing room, Miss May talks to Hammond regarding both the duo's whereabouts and the Russian's doing. Later, the sergeant shows up.

"It's Meicoomon, he said it's urgent." said the sergeant.

Later, Ferrel and Miss May watch a video. Afterwards, the man is arguing about the whereabouts. The argument ends when the technicians enter the embarkation room in order to get Alex and Shoutmon back. The gate is activated with electricity. The DHD was blown up. Alex and Shoutmon show up. This causes Ferrel's men to feel emotional. Jack returns home to find Alex and Shoutmon.

"What happened, guys?" asked Hammond.

"We were trapped in the wormhole during the evacuation." said Alex.

"I see…" said Hammond. "Welcome back, son."

Ferrel and his men return to the briefing room with both Alex and Shoutmon in one piece.
