My apologies for the late update. An unexpected situation happened in which my laptop developed a problem and subsequently CRASHED, and though I was able to save my files, the fanfics that I last saved were corrupted, and while the fanfics I've typed were among those saved, 50% of the progress was affected, hence I had to restart working on the chapters, hence I was unable to meet the deadline which the next update was supposed to be the last week of March.
So now I'm working on the next chapters and if this fic gets a review, I will have the next update ready. Now that I finished my explanation…time to get down to business…
Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here Midoriya's road to becoming a pro hero commences…but also would led to an eventual encounter with the man who killed his dad…
Well then, read on and enjoy!
Ch. 4: UA akademīsupōtsufesutibaru
Several days have passed, and things are normal at Naruhata, as the scene shifts at the corporate building where Geese Howard works, and business is booming as usual, and there Billy Kane is walking by the hallway when a few employees are passing by, and they can be heard talking in a rather exciting tone as they stated that today is the UA Academy Sports Festival and that the participants this year consists of first year students.
The employees expressed excitement as they said that as contact of theirs would stream it and send the footage to them and there they would get to see what this year's Sports Festival would offer as it would feature many first timers who are first year students and what can they do to win the event, and what programs would this year's event, whether it would be the same or would UA Academy implement new ones.
"Oh boy…"
"Wow…"
"First year students…"
"Interesting…"
"I'm going to watch it…"
"Exciting…"
"This is going to be fun…"
"Yeah…"
Billy just stared at the passing employees before heading inside Geese's office where he approached his boss and reminded him of today's event, which Geese nodded and said that he already sent two AGENTS to UA Academy and are instructed to watch the events carefully, showing that Geese is taking the matter seriously as he would determine if Izuku Midoriya poses a threat to him or not.
Billy raised an eyebrow and wondered if the two would be able to pull it off given the strict security at UA Academy, though Geese is confident that his two agents will send him the data he need as he wanted to see if Izuku Midoriya would pose a problem or if the boy is merely for show.
"Thanks to your pestering persistence…I have an excuse to have a bit of a day off…"
"How so, boss?"
"You keep saying that the Midoriya brat being at UA Academy made you shake in apprehension…so now I'm going to see for myself if he do have a Quirk...as far as I know…he is Quirkless as he never shown a Quirk a decade ago…and from what my informants told me."
"Well…finding out that Midoriya's name on the student list of UA Academy made me…"
"I understand your worry…which is why we're watching this televised event…to see if Midoriya possess a Quirk...and if he do have one…what kind and if he poses a problem for us."
"Yeah. And if he do have one…let me know if I have to…"
"Lets wait and see first."
"Okay."
Soon Geese's smartphone rang and saw that it was a video call, where the caller turn out to be his two agents, who are revealed to be his bodyguards Hopper and Ripper. The two men told Geese that they got in and that the Sports Festival will commence in 10 minutes and said that although security is tight, they had no problem getting in.
They also said that some pro heroes are here to provide security as well as to scout students after they overheard a few pro heroes mentioning that the Sports Festival would determine which UA students would be deemed an asset for the upcoming internship, and both Hopper and Ripper revealed that they managed to trick a few pro heroes into revealing the nature of the internship.
Gesse stared in a neutral way while belly expressed concern as he sensed that Midoriya might use the internship to find Geese, but he is surprised as his boss told Hopper and Ripper to continue monitoring the Sports Festival and to keep an eye out for Midoriya, which the two henchmen nodded in acknowledgement.
"If Midoriya's name is called, keep an eye on him."
"Yes, boss."
"Yes, boss."
"Record every matches he's involved in. And make sure no one notices you."
"Yes, boss."
"Yes, boss."
"And that's an order."
"Yes, boss."
"Yes, boss."
Billy then asked Geese how can he be so calm about this as he pointed out that Midoriya might use the internship to find this place and pick a fight, but Geese smirked and told Billy that there is nothing to worry about, and reminded him that they are going to watch the live telecast of the UA Academy Sports Festival, and to see if Midoriya possess a Quirk.
Geese says that this event would determine what type of Quirk Midoriya possess, and if the boy's Quirk is a weak-type, then he has nothing to worry, and in the event that Midoriya chooses to use this internship to try finding this place and challenge him, Geese assured that he will be the victor and he can use LEGAL MEANS to sue Midoriya and UA Academy.
Billy saw the logic and sighed in relief, and Geese told his right-hand man that he shouldn't be panicking as he reminded him that Geese Howard cannot be defeated, and in the end Izuku Midoriya will lose and end up humiliating himself.
"So are we chill?"
"Yeah."
"I'm sure that things will go our way."
"Guess you have a point."
"And remember…I will come out on top. And that brat can't do anything."
"You got that right."
"Now let's enjoy the show."
"You got it, boss."

The scene shifts at UA Academy, an educational institution where it shows that the academy, where it teaches high school students with Quirks on how to control and use their powers while aspiring to be pro heroes, is in the midst of an event that is being televised worldwide, and attracted visitors and spectators from all over the globe, where a school festival is being held every year, which is accustomed in every curriculum.
Last year the Sports Festival feature second year students participating, and this time the participants would be first year students, and visitors and spectators are looking forward to it as they find it exciting that they would get to see what the first year students would do.
"Oh boy…"
"Wow…"
"First year students…"
"Interesting…"
"I'm going to watch it…"
"Exciting…"
"This is going to be fun…"
"Yeah…"
This event was quite controversial given that UA High School had just been attacked by the League of Villains during the USJ incident, which resulted in several villains and teachers being injured, yet the League of Villains were forced to retreat due to the arrival of All Might and other teachers, as well as the UA students joined the fight in forcing the villains back.
Inside the waiting room, the scene shows that Class 1-A are getting ready and are pumped up as this would be their first time participating and some are excited as they would get to show their stuff to the audience as well as they are aware that some pro heroes would be watching as they are scouting the first year students for internship.
The following students are shown, and they are:
- Momo Yaoyorozu
- Ochako Uraraka
- Tsuyu Asui
- Kyoka Jiro
- Mina Ashido
- Toru Hagakure
- Izuku Midoriya
- Katsuki Bakugo
- Shoto Todoroki
- Tenya Iida
- Mashirao Ojiro
- Eijiro Kirishima
- Denki Kaminari
- Minoru Mineta
- Yuga Aoyama
- Rikido Sato
- Koji Koda
- Hanta Sero
- Fumikage Tokoyami
- Mezo Shoji
As the others are bracing themselves for the first match of the festival, Midoriya is silent as he is thinking about how to emerge the winner as well as how to uphold the code of honor as a hero as part of him is struggling to get even against Geese Howard, which Midoriya tried to suppress as he still recall how his dad was murdered by Geese ten years ago.
By then Uraraka and Iida noticed that Midoriya is acting strangely quiet and asked him if he is okay, and Midoriya assured to the two that he is fine and there is nothing for them to worry, which Uraraka and Iida nodded in relief, seeing that their classmate is doing fine, unaware of Midoriya's inner struggle.
"I see…"
"You must be nervous, Deku…"
"Yeah…maybe I am…"
"Don't worry. All you have to do is do your best."
"Iida is right, Deku."
"Okay, I'll give my all."
"That's the spirit!"
"Then we're all set, Deku!"
"Yeah…"
Soon a teacher came and told Class 1-A that it is time and that they are going to the field and get themselves ready as the Festival is about to start, and thus Class 1-A leaves the waiting room and are now heading towards the scene of the festival.

Several minutes later, the scene shows that several sections of the UA Academy, consisting of first year students, are ready to rumble and the event commences, where the first round is an obstacle race four kilometers around the area. Shoto Todoroki, who is part of the students participating, as well as being a member of class 1-A, gets a head start when he uses his ice Quirk and freezes the cluttered corridor but is surprised to find that many students were able to avoid his attack. Several giant villain bots then appear to block his path.
Todoroki surmises that these are the same bots that the students who took the entrance exam had to face. While impressed with the obstacle, Todoroki wishes the U.A. faculty could have offered him something more difficult since his father, current Number 2 Hero, Endeavor, is watching.
Todoroki proceeds to freeze the robot while it is off balance and run past it as it falls and blocks the way of those behind him in the race. There he can hear the rest of the students bemoaning at the barricade that formed in front of them.
"Damn!"
"That Todoroki is ahead of us!"
"We can't let him hog the glory!"
"Someone get these bots out of the way!"
"Wait for me!"
"I don't want to lose!"
"Come back here you ice freak!"
"I'll get you, Popsicle brat!"
Keeping his early lead, Todoroki easily clears the next obstacle: The Fall. It is a large canyon that must be trekked by crossing tightropes. Todoroki freezes a path through the fall but notices Bakugo gaining on him. Todoroki reaches the final leg of the race: a Mine Field meant to burden those in the lead. He has to walk through the area carefully, allowing Bakugo to catch up to him.
Angered, Bakugo states that Todoroki issued his declaration of war to the wrong rival and the two start to fight for first place as they run.
Moments later, Todoroki watches in bewilderment as Midoriya flies towards him as he is using a robot shield as a transport, and Bakugo after riding the momentum from an explosion he created. Midoriya manages to pass them, but Todoroki catches up to him quickly by creating an ice path.
Todoroki realizes this will help others cross the Mine Field, but he has no choice if he wants to win the race. Before he or Bakugo are able to reclaim the lead, Midoriya triggers another explosion that momentarily stops them both. Although close behind, Todoroki crosses the finish line second after Midoriya. Even though he is unhappy about not taking first place, Todoroki qualifies for the second event: The Cavalry Battle.
Many of the spectators were awed at seeing the turn of events, and many wondered who would come out of top and placed in the next round once the Calvary Battle commences as it involves teams consisting of four members battle each other out, as Todoroki and Bakugo are among the contenders as well as Midoriya due to him having the most points.
"Whoa…"
"A Calvary battle."
"A team of four…"
"This should be interesting…"
"Yeah…Endeavor's son is among the contenders…"
"Who's gonna challenge him in the next round?"
"I'm rooting for the kid with a million points…"
"I'm for that Bakugo kid…"
Hopper and Ripper were using some high-tech gadgets and are able to watch the events, and so far Midoriya hasn't shown any indication that he posses a Quirk, yet they continue to monitor the events as they were ordered to find out if Midoriya has a Quirk and what type does he possess.
"Yup. The green-haired kid is Midoriya."
"That kid?"
"Yup."
"I didn't see him show his Quirk. Does he really have one?"
"Boss told us to keep monitoring him. Maybe later he might show his Quirk. Though I wonder why he didn't show it when he was still a kid…"
"Maybe he's a late bloomer…?"
"Could be. And now is the good time to see what type of Quirk this Midoriya have…and what would the boss do next…"
"Right."
